This research aims to find out the relationship between self-confidence and self-adjustment of Papuan ethnic students’ class of 2018, which originally from Timika regency in Satya Wacana Christian University. The subjects in this study were 40 active students. The Sampling technique used is Purposive Sample with criteria, minimum age 17-21, active students’ status, come from the Timika regency area, first time wander off. The data collection method used the Likert scale method, pervade the scale of self-adjustment referred to The Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ) discovered by Baker (2002), and the self-confidence scale that refers to the theory that stated by Lauster (2012). Manage data using analysis Product Moment Correlation and assisted using software SPSS 22.0 for Windows. The results of the study showed a significant positive relationship between self- confidence and self- adjustment was 0.589 with significant value 0,000. This shows that, the higher self- confidence is owned by 2018 Papuan ethnic students from the Timika regency, the better the self-adjustment they make, conversely the lower the self- confidence they have, the more difficult the self-adjustment they make.Key words: Self-Adjustment; Self Confidence.

ABSTRACT  This research was motivated by the low self-confidence development of children aged 6-7 years in Anak Air, Batipuh Panjang Village, Padang City. It is suspected that the cause of the child's low self-confidence is partly due to the inappropriate application of parenting methods. This study aims to: 1) describe the parenting methods applied by parents to children; 2) describes the self-confidence of children aged 6-7 years; and 3) looking at the relationship between parenting methods and the self-confidence of children aged 6-7 years in Anak Air, Batipuh Panjang Village, Padang City.This research is a correlational quantitative research. The population in this study were children aged 6-7 years and their mothers as many as 50 people with a sample of 75%, namely 38 people with simple random sampling technique. The data technique used a questionnaire and a check for the observation of children's self-confidence development, the data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis and formula-data-moment.The results of this study indicate: 1) the parenting methods applied by parents to children aged 6-7 years are still inaccurate and inconsistent; 2) the development of self-confidence of children aged 6-7 years is still low; and 3) there is a significant relationship between parenting methods and the development of self-confidence of children aged 6-7 years in Anak Air, Batipuh Panjang Village, Padang City. Research suggestions are: 1) it is hoped that parents in Anak Air Kelurahan Batipuh Panjang Padang City can pay attention to and apply the application of parenting methods to children so that they can contribute to the development of children's self-confidence as expected; and 2) it is hoped that further researchers can find or examine other variables that affect the development of children's self-confidence. Keywords: self-confidence, parenting methods, family education

This study examines the influence of receivables on liquidity at PT. Graha Tumarima. Sukabumi City for 5 years, with a sampling technique using a purposive sample in the form of financial statement data from 2010 to 2014 using a table of trade receivables and company liquidity. In this study, researchers refer to the theory of Bambang Riyanto (2008: 94) as the connecting theory of the title. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship and influence between receivables and liquidity at PT. Graha Tumarima. The research design uses the method of exposing the facto, the method of data collection aims to test the hypothesis by using correlation analysis, determination, regression and hypothesis testing with t-test. The results of this study show the influence of receivables on liquidity is shown by the value of r = 0.888, meaning that receivables have a very strong relationship to liquidity. The nature of the relationship is positive, meaning that if the value of cooperative credit is higher the liquidity will be higher. Conversely, if the value of receivables decreases, liquidity will decrease. The magnitude of the influence of receivables on liquidity is shown by the value of R Square / Determination Coefficient of 0.789 or 78.9% thus the receivables have an effect of 78.9% on cooperative liquidity. Hypothesis testing uses the t test, that t arithmetic = 3.347 while t table = 3.182 means t arithmetic> t table. Means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. There is an influence between the receivables on liquidity at PT. Graha Tumarima, Sukabumi City

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat self confidence mahasiswa, hubungan pemahaman konsep geometri dan self confidence mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Pembelajaran Mikro. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Pada mata kuliah Pembelajaran Mikro terdapat 8 keterampilan dasar mengajar, salah satunya adalah keterampilan menjelaskan dimana mahasiswa harus dapat mengorganisasikan konsep geometri transformasi dalam tata urutan yang terencana secara sistematis, sehingga mudah dipahami oleh siswa. Perlu adanya self confidence dalam menyampaikan materi khususnya pemahaman konsep geometri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh hubungan yang linier antara pemahaman konsep geometri transformasi dan self confidence mahasiswa calon guru matematika pada mata kuliah Pembelajaran Mikro. Tingkat keeratan hubungan kedua variabel berdasarkan koefisien korelasi berada pada kategori kuat yaitu 0,700. Hubungan kedua variabel tersebut menunjukkan arah positif artinya, peningkatan pemahaman konsep geometri transformasi berbanding lurus dengan self confidence mahasiswa calon guru matematika. Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep geometri, self confidence, pembelajaran mikro.   ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the level of self-confidence of students and relationship between understanding the concept of geometry and self-confidence of students in the Micro Learning subject. This research is quantitative research. In the Micro Learning subject there are 8 basic teaching skills, one of them is the skill to explain where students must be able to organize the geometry concept of transformation in a systematic order planned so that it is easily understood by students. Self confidence is needed in delivering the material, especially understanding the concept of geometry. At a significance level of 5% a linear relationship was found between the understanding of the geometry concept of transformation and the self confidence of mathematics teacher candidates in the Micro Learning subject. The relationship between the two variables based on the correlation coefficient is in the strong category, 0.700. The relationship between these two variables shows a positive relation, it means that as the understanding of geometric concept gets better, the self confidence of mathematics teacher candidates get higher. This article analyses the relationship between the internal defect picture, personality traits and the self-attitude of adolescents with disabilities. Topicality of the study is due to the scientific interest in the peculiarities of the formation of the self-concept in the most sensitive period of development for its formation – adolescence in a special group of persons – adolescents with developmental disorders. The empirical base of the study was 109 adolescents with deficits (impaired hearing, vision, speech) and delayed development. Mean age is 14 years. The most connections with the components of the internal picture of the defect were acquired by such personality traits as aggravation and anxiety. Aspects of self-attitude turned out to be more closely related to the components of the internal picture of the defect in terms of communication parameters, popularity among peers, behaviour, situation at school, happiness and satisfaction, family status, and self-confidence.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku asertif dengan penyesuaian diri pada siswa tahun pertama di SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah ada hubungan antara perilaku asertif dengan penyesuaian diri. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi tahun pertama (kelas VII) SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin berjumlah 99 orang yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala yang terdiri dari skala perilaku asertif dan skala penyesuaian diri. Berdasarkan uji korelasi product moment Pearson diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 dengan r = 0,627 yang berarti ada hubungan positif antara perilaku asertif dengan penyesuaian diri. Berdasarkan hasil, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif antara perilaku asertif dengan penyesuaian diri, sehingga semakin tinggi perilaku asertif maka semakin tinggi pula penyesuaian diri pada siswa tahun pertama di SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin.Kata kunci: Perilaku Asertif, Penyesuaian Diri The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between assertive behavior and self-adjustment in the first year students at SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin. The hypothesis was that there was a relationship between assertive behavior and self-adjustment. The samples in this study were 99 persons of the first year students (in class VII) of SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin, selected using cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected using assertive behavior scale and self-adjustment scale. The results of the Pearson's product moment correlation test showed that the significance value was 0.000 with r = 0.627, indicating that there was a positive relationship between assertive behavior and self-adjustment. It can therefore be concluded that there was a positive relationship between assertive behavior and self-adjustment; therefore, the higher the assertive behavior, the higher the self-adjustment in the first year students at SMP Negeri 1 Banjarmasin.Keywords: Assertive Behavior, Self-Adjustment

The aim of this research was to establish a relation between self-confidence and self-concept, on the one hand, and the performance of the apparatus elements and the floor routine, on the other. The research included 29 subjects, aged 20 to 27, with the average age of the subjects being 21 years old (M= 21.16, SD= 1.54). The following measurement instruments were used: RSES (Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale) and SC-6, as well as the evaluation of the performance of the floor exercises (side-to-side and front-to-back cartwheel, roundoff, front and back handspring, forward and backward flip) and a vault (squat through on the vault and straddle vault with pre-flight, front handspring on vault, roundoff vault) and with the apparatus: the high bar (uprise on bars with legs together, kip, front mill circle, back circle, underswing dismount) and the parallel bars (swing, forward roll, back roll, shoulder stand, front toss dismount, back toss dismount) by a three-member committee. The results showed that Rosenberg’s confidence scale produced statistically significant correlations with all the remaining subscales of moderate or high intensity, and the highest one with the scale of the self-concept (rs= .73), while the lowest one with the scale related to the performance of gymnastic elements on the apparatus (rs = .45) (Cohen, 1988 according to Cumming, 2012). In contrast to this scale, the scale of the self-concept is in statistically significant correlation with the gymnastic elements (rs = .61) on the floor and the vault, while the statistically significant correlation of this scale is missing with the gymnastic elements on the apparatus. It can be concluded that a high level of confidence in one’s own abilities through the entire training period enabled a better access to learning, repetition and, finally, the demonstration of the selected gymnastics elements, while the level of general satisfaction was not a decisive factor in the process.

The objective of the study was to identify the relationship of different dimensions of perceived quality of home environment and self-concept of undergraduate university students. Correlational research was selected as the research design. The population of the study was university students of the education department of public and private universities of Lahore. The total population was 1760. A proportionate stratified random sampling technique was used to select the sample. The strata were formed on the basis of the nature of the universities. The total number of students selected as the sample was 528. The instrument consisted of three parts; the first part consisted of demographic information (gender, nature of institution). The second part consisted of the Home Environment Inventory, designed by Misra (1983) to measure the quality of the home environment and the third part consisted of the Self-Concept Scale by Rastogi (1979) to measure self-concept. Multiple regression analysis was used to determine the relationship between the variables. The results indicated a significant relationship between the home environment and the self-concept of university students.

The problem in this research is that there are cases of bullying behavior committed by students against their own friends. Like mocking friends, calling their parents, so that makes someone feel annoyed. This study was conducted to determine how much influence bullying behavior has on the confidence of grade VIII students of MTs Esa Islamic School Binong-Tangerang for the 2019-2020 academic year.            This type of research is quantitative correlational research with a sample of 49 students. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling (it does not provide the same opportunity to the population) to determine the number of samples taken, namely the census technique because the population is less than 100 so all populations can be used as samples.The instrument used for the study has been tested for validity and the researcher uses 20 valid statements. Reliability test uses the Alpha Cronbach formula in the SPSS application so that the results of r count (0.622)> r table (0.281) for bullying instruments and r count (0.677)> r table (0.281) for self-confidence instruments, so the instrument is declared reliable.            The results of this research hypothesis test are: (1) The level of bullying (bullying behavior) in class VIII students of MTs Esa Nusa Islamic School Binong- Tangerang for the 2019-2020 school year is in the strong category with a percentage of 47.6%. (2) obtained the results of r count (0.690)> r table (0.281) then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that bullying behavior has an influence on student self-confidence, meaning that if the higher the intensity of bullying in students, the lower the self-confidence in students, and vice versa.

This study aims to determine whether there is a significant relationship between cigarette addiction, simultaneous smartphone addiction and self-control. The subjects who became respondents were students who live in the male dormitory of Satya Wacana Christian University, totalling 109 students as the population. The sampling technique chosen was purposive sampling with the criteria of students who were active smokers and were involved in using smartphones. The research method used is correlational quantitative. The sample consisted of 33 students. The analysis technique used is the multiple correlation formula. Based on the results of various correlation analyzes, the R-value is -0.350 in the opposite direction. For comparison, the Fcount value is found to be 2.128 and the F table with a significant 5% of 4,130. In other words, Fcount Ftable, which means there is no significant relationship. The results of this study found that there was no significant relationship between cigarette addiction, simultaneous smartphone addiction and self-control.

The relationship between a receiver's self-confidence and his attitudinal acceptance of a television advertisement was found to be systematically dependent on the level of potential distraction contained in the commercial. Absolute increases in acceptance under distracting conditions occurred only among subjects with moderate to high self-confidence.
