The purpose of this research is to solve the problems in elementary schools especially in the application of learning that still does not prioritize character education.This research methods is a type of research and development with reference to Borg and Gall model with only seven steps, including: (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) product validation, (5) revision products, (6) product trials, and (7) product revision. Data obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Sources of data are Class IV students and Class IV teachers at Masehi Kudus Elementary School, Tanwirul Qulub School, and 2nd Panjunan School.The results of the effectiveness test show that “Curriculum Management Based on Strengthening Character Education for Improving the Quality of Learning in Elementary Schools is effectively used in learning in Class IV Elementary Schools Theme “Beautiful Togetherness” Sub Theme 1 “Diversity of My Nation’s Culture” with the average results of individual completeness in Masehi Elementary School reaches 91%, while in Tanwirul Qulub Elementary School and 2nd Panjunan Elementary School reached 82%. The classical completeness of the three elementary schools is also very high with an average classical completeness of almost 100%. The classical completeness in the three elementary schools in a row is at Masehi Kudus Elementary School reaching 100%, at Tanwirul Qulub Elementary School and 2nd Panjunan Elementary School are reaching 95%. Classical absorption is also relatively high with the acquisition in each elementary school as follows: at Masehi Kudus Elementary School by 91%, at Tanwirul Qulub Elementary School and 2nd Panjunan Elementary School by 82%.

<p><em>Character education nowadays is an important thing to do because of the widespread moral crisis among the community, it is from children, adolescents to adults. For this reason, it is necessary to improve a character education as early as possible from various communities. The characters that need to be developed are discipline. This article describes the results of research that aims to explain the character of discipline in relation to contextual models that can be seen from the influence of the use of contextual models in learning in elementary schools. This study uses a qualitative approach which is carried out with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and questionnaires. The sample of this study was the second and fifth grade students at Adikarso 1 Elementary School. To maintain the quality of the data, this study uses triangulation techniques. The results showed in the table of class II, before learning the percentage of students who answered "always" amounted to 80.345% while after learning rises to 86.551%. It can be concluded that the contextual learning model can improve the character of discipline in learning at SDN 1 Adikarso.</em></p>

The Development Book of Story Based Sundanese Culture as Media on Indonesian Language with Pantun Material in IV Class, Elementary School. Djuanda Bogor University in 2017. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) which has a goal to know more a story of book based on Sundanese culture with learning method Indonesian language on pantun materials, another goal is to determine which one is the best of story book. The procedure of this research take a model of Borg and Gall theory, the development has five stages; find out the information, product plan, product development, validation product and evaluation of the product. To know quality of products is based on the learning aspect, materials, and looking with gift quetionnaires as a purpose to know the media developed worthy used or not as a learning media. The result of this a research are a book of story based on Sundanese culture used a learning method Indonesian language with pantun materials in class IV elementary school has good qualities based the material expert 43, maximum points from 50 with very good category. the media expert 68, maximum points from 75 with very good category. The teacher around  124.33, maximum points from 125 with very good category. Peer reviewer around 111.33, maximum points from 125 with very good category. Testing 49,44, maximum points from 50 with very good category. Temporary testing 49, maximum points from 50 with very good category, so that this is a book of Sundanese story has good using for taking in learning media Indonesian language with pantun material in grade IV Elementary School.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada ungkapan hikmah di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang terdapat pada ungkapan hikmah di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta. Adapun sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu ungkapan hikmah yang ditempatkan di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada ungkapan hikmah yang ditempatkan di sekolah dasar se-karesidenan Surakarta meliputi religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat/komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab. Ungkapan hikmah yang ada sangat relevan ditempatkan di sekolah dasar. Hal ini bertujuan agar peserta didik memiliki kemampuan akademik dan akhlak karimah.Kata Kunci: ungkapan hikmah, nilai karakter, sekolah dasarCHARACTER EDUCATION VALUE IN THE EXPRESSION OF HIKMAH IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE RESIDENCY OF SURAKARTA Abstract:This research aims to describe the values of character education in the expression of hikmah (wisdom) in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this research in the form of words, phrases and sentences contained in the expression of hikmah in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta. The source of the data in this research is the expression of hikmah placed in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta. Research data collection used documentation techniques. Analysis of research data used content analysis. The results of the research showed the values of character education in the expression of hikmah placed in elementary schools in the residency of Surakarta include religious, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, national spirit, love of the motherland, respect for achievement, friendly/communicative, peace-loving, fond of reading, caring for the environment, caring socially, and being responsible. The expressions of hikmah are very relevant placed in elementary schools. Abstract: A Model for the Supervision in the Learning of Physical Education in Elementary School. This study aimed to optimize the functions of principals and supervisors in the improvement of physical education teachers’ performance. It was a research and development study in which the preliminary steps employed the qualitative approach to obtain information on the existing models at present and attempts to develop one. The result of this study showed that the model for the supervision in the learning of physical education significantly affected the performance of physical education teachers in elementary schools. In other words, the model was effective to improve the quality of teachers’ performance and students’ achievement. Keywords: supervision model, performance, physical education

This research aimed to (1) develop character based big book as a media for teaching English at sixth grade students at SD Lab UNDIKSHA Singaraja, and (2) find out the quality of character based big book developed. The subject of this research was thirty-two students of sixth grade students of elementary school at SD Lab UNDIKSHA Singaraja. The data of this research were obtained by using observation sheet, interview guide, item of questionnaire, checklist, rubric, and notes. This research was R & D (research and development) which followed several procedures based on Sugiyono model namely identifying potency and problem, collecting data, designing product, validating design product, revising design product, trying-out product, and revising product. The result of this research showed that there were five kinds of character based big book developed with the theme seasons, tourism, direction, airport, and transportation. Each big book consisted of fourteen up to fifteen pages and inserted character education in its story. For the quality of the media, it was found that the character based big book developed was categorized as excellent media. Thus, it was proper to be used as a media for teaching English at sixth grade students.

This research is motivated because of the problems found in schools, namely, the LKPD used in schools is generally less attractive, both in terms of the space for filling in the less extensive answers, the color of the LKPD which does not have an attractive color, the structure is incomplete and the supporting images for the LKPD are inadequate. This research is a development research, namely Research and Development (R&D) which consists of four stages, namely: define, design, development, disseminate. in this development research using the 4-D model proposed by Thiagarajan (in Ratumanan, 2019: 61). The results showed that the development of discovery learning-based LKPD collected through a validation questionnaire was used to measure the feasibility of student worksheets (LKPD). The results showed that the discovery learning-based student worksheets developed were feasible and valid for learning. This is evident from the results of obtaining questionnaires by expert experts and educators who state that the development product is feasible based on the results of the linguist expert's validity test (92.5%) is categorized as very valid, aspects of rpp Validator 1 (92.5%) are categorized as very valid, Validator 2 (95.00%) which is categorized as very valid, expert design expert (98.07%) is categorized as very valid. This proves that the Integrated Thematic Student Worksheet Development (LKPD) with the Discovery Learning Model in Class IV of Elementary School is stated very valid.

This research is motivated by the quality of education in East Kutai District. It was not equally between infrastructure and suprastructure school developments in the rural and the urban areas. It also can be effect to the quality of educations in East Kutai District, especially in rural areas. The aims of this research are describes the quality condition of elementary schools in East Kutai District, discribes supporting factors and obstacle factors, and the efforts of goverment (ministry of education) to improve the quality education  of elementary schools in East Kutai District.This is descriptive qualitative research. It was located in education goverment office (ministry of education).The result of this research was indicated that the quality education of elementary school in East Kutai Distric is excellent. It shows from the increase accreditation result every year. At 2016 all of elementary schools in East Kutai District was accredited. It was good progress. Eight national education standarts have been achieved. The supporting factors to increase the quality education of elementary school in East Kutai District, such us:  qualified human resources, a lot of budget funds, between elementary schools and ministry of education has been mutual support, good infrastructure development, and good geographic location. Even while obstacle factors such us: small budget funds, the school locations are so far from the town, education policies always change every a new minister education, and different understanding about education mindset. The efforts from education department goverment (ministry of education)  to improve the quality education of elementary school in East Kutai District are: complete the database, reorganized institution, change mindset the teachers from teachers become educators, make a program training and coaching, adjusting teacher qualifications,  make a program one sub district one favorite school, make a curriculum development, strengthening of character education, make a programe one student one book of curriculum 2013, make a mapping and dissemination for all teachers, rolling teachers and head master, make a program rehabilitation of all facilities and infrastructure, do controling from UPT.

Abstract: Abstract: This study aims to describe the ability of inquiry held by elementary school students at the time given inquiry-based activities. The method used is a qualitative descriptive conducted in one of the elementary schools in the city of Palembang, South Sumatra. The data collection is done by providing inquiry-based student activity sheet containing seven stages of activity. Sheets inquiry activities done by the students of Class I to Class IV Elementary School. Total student working inquiry activity sheet totaled 178 people. The results showed that there are five faculties of inquiry that arise and have a difference in every level of ability from Class I - Class VI. Fifth ability of inquiry that emerged is experiencing growth of the number of students who mastered at each level and the composition of each capability. Classically students at the level of Class I and Class II is not yet mastered the ability of inquiry.Keywords: the ability of an inquiry, the elementary school studentsAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kemampuan inkuiri yang dikuasai siswa Sekolah Dasar pada saat diberikan kegiatan berbasis inkuiri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di salah satu Sekolah Dasar di kota Palembang, Sumatera Selatan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan siswa lembar kegiatan berbasis inkuiri yang berisi tujuh tahapan kegiatan. Lembar kegiatan inkuiri dikerjakan oleh siswa Kelas I hingga Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Total keseluruhan siswa yang mengerjakan lembar kegiatan inkuiri berjumlah 178 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat lima kemampuan inkuiri yang muncul dan memiliki perbedaan pada setiap kemampuan dari tingkatan Kelas I – Kelas VI. Kelima kemampuan inkuiri yang muncul ini mengalami perkembangan dari jumlah siswa yang menguasai pada setiap jenjang dan komposisi pada setiap kemampuan. Secara klasikal siswa pada tingkatan Kelas I dan Kelas II dikatakan belum menguasai kemampuan inkuiri.Kata kunci : kemampuan inkuiri, siswa sekolah dasar

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model penilaian keterampilan intrapribadi dan antarpribadi dalam pendidikan karakter di SD yang valid, reliabel, dan cocok secara statistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan model research and development dari Plomp dengan lima fase, yaitu: investigasi, desain, realisasi, tes, dan implementasi. Subjek  penelitian yaitu  siswa kelas V SD di DI Yogyakarta. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, dokumentasi, wawancara, FGD, dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif, formula Aiken’s V, EFA dan CFA. Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu konstruk penilaian keterampilan intrapribadi dan antarpribadi dalam pendidikan karakter telah memenuhi syarat validitas, reliabilitas, dan goodness of fit statistic; dan panduan penilaian keterampilan intrapribadi dan antarpribadi dalam pendidikan karakter di SD dinilai komprehensif, mudah, dan praktis oleh para guru selaku pengguna.Kata kunci: keterampilan intrapribadi, keterampilan antarpribadi, pendidikan karakter.______________________________________________________________ DEVELOPING OF ASSESSMENT MODEL OF INTRAPERSONAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS BASED ON CHARACTER EDUCATION IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS Abstract The objectives of this study is to develop the assessment model of intrapersonal and interpersonal skills in character education of elementary school students that fit into the criteria of validity, reliability and goodness of fit statistic. This study used plomp’s research and development model which consisted of five phases, namely: investigation, design, realization, testing, and implementation. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students of the elementary schools in Yogyakarta Special Region. The data were collected using a questionnaire, documentation, interview, focus group discussion, and observation, and analyzed using the descriptive analysis, formula aiken's V, Exploratory FactorAnalysis (EFA), and  Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The results of this study are as follows, (1) the assessment construct of intrapersonal and interpersonal skills based on character education for elementary school students has fulfilled  the criteria of validity, reliability, and the goodness of fit statistic. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) the development of a religious-based HOTS assessment book; 2) the effectiveness of the book to improve teachers’ competence in preparing religious-based HOTS assessments for grade 4 elementary school in science subject content. This research was a development research (RnD) adapted from Borg and Gall development model with the following procedures: 1) Identification of Potentials and Problems; 2) Data Collection; 3) Product Design; 4) Design Validation; 5) Product Revision I; 6) Product Trial; 7) Product Revision II; 8). Trial Use; 9) Revision of the End Product; and 10) Product Dissemination. The product of this research was religious based HOTS assessment book in science subject content for grade IV SD. The feasibility of the book was shown through validation (material and media testing) by two material and media experts, getting an average validation score of 80.49 with very good category. The effectiveness of using books was proven by the t test which obtained t count = -9.892 < t table = 1.72 so that Ha was accepted. The conclusion of this study was religious-based HOTS assessment book increased teachers’ competence in compiling HOTS assessments at elementary schools. Suggestions in this study included that teachers should use this HOTS-based assessment book to improve their competence in HOTS assessments.
