SUMMARYIn the past years a large number of new surgical devices have been developed to improve the operation outcomes and reduce the patient's trauma. Nevertheless, the dexterity and accuracy required in positioning the surgical tools are often unreachable if the surgeons are not assisted by a suitable system. Since a medical robot works in an operating room, close to the patient and the medical staff, it has to satisfy much stricter requirements with respect to an industrial one. From a kinematic point of view, the robot must reach any target position in the patient's body, being as less invasive as possible for the surgeon's workspace. In order to meet such requirements, the right robot structure has to be chosen by means of the definition of suitable kinematic performance indices. In this paper some task-based indices based on the robot workspace and stiffness are presented and discussed. The indices will be used in a multiobjective optimization problem to evaluate best robot kinematic structure for a given neurosurgical task.

The article discusses the issues of optimizing the costs of an enterprise during the crisis, the need to allocate several items of costs, the financing of which will have to be reduced. The coronavirus epidemic, plummeting oil prices and multiple turmoil in financial markets have disrupted what appeared to be resilient trends. And this is especially true in business. Prolonged quarantine, decreased sales, alarming mood, uncertainty - all this gives rise to fears for the future. Systematic and consistent cost management and optimization must become an integral part of the new reality. The purpose of the article is to substantiate methods for reducing costs and optimizing costs of an enterprise in a crisis and economic instability when making management decisions. In order to realize this goal, the following are considered: theoretical foundations of enterprise cost optimization; planning and implementation of measures to reduce costs; models for reducing cost items in the budget and its basic principles. As a result of the research, it can be argued that significant and sustainable cost optimization is possible only as a result of business process optimization. It is impossible to significantly reduce any particular type of expenses without changing anything else around. Therefore, it requires the transformation of all processes associated with this function.

Purpose ”“ Approach and analyze the technological industries in society, as a global society, and how it is approached from the legal point of view. This study aims to make an analysis of the social context and technological progress and determine what main legal problems arise. There is also the purpose of investigating what impact new technologies have had in the audiovisual industry globally, taking into account the emergence of new digital business models, in order to determine their legal nature. Methodology ”“ The methodology used is mainly based on the analysis of the different Laws that regulate the digital market. The approach has been directed at European claims to respond to new digital models and discover if the result has had an effective application on citizens. Findings ”“ The study sets out as objectives achieved cross-border access of audiovisual platforms in the European territorial area. Objective met in a positive way but still with many inconveniences. It is noted a clear advantage for users, but with universal challenges, such as the exploitation of audiovisual content within the Right to information. Practical Implications ”“ If the laws were more current, companies and technological industries could give a more effective response to society, while creating wealth. It also shows the comparison between a European system, more protectionist towards the user, for example, with the protection of personal data, with respect to the Latin American system law. These differences impact economically differently in each country. Originality ”“ The study detects the most fragile points, the current conflicts of the digital platforms and shows the lines to follow through public policies.

This paper introduces a study on modeling of the wear of composite carbide nozzles in Abrasive Waterjet (AWJ) cutting. The model was built based on many long-term wear test data. In the model, the effects of jet-parameters such as water pressure, abrasive mass flow rate, orifice diameter, and initial nozzle diameter were taken into account. The model can be used for calculation the nozzle lifetime and therefore used for programming the AWJ cost optimization problem. Through the analyzing of the model, the effects of above parameters on the composite carbide nozzle wear were also more understood.

This commentary presents a point of view on how the arrival of electronic health records (EHR) in the United States (U.S.) has changed physicians’ practice. EHR implementation has pros and cons. EHR systems have been a great asset during the pandemic and help with efficiency, safety, and cost reduction. Despite their benefits, healthcare providers and organizations still face challenges, including usability and interoperability across systems, contributing to physicians’ burnout. Can physicians adopt new technologies and adapt to current challenges? Is it the right time for physicians to stop being observers and become active participants in the process of healthcare innovation and implementation?

The article analyzes the concept of "mentoring", its essence and meaning. The transformation of mentoring from the time of Ancient Greece to the present has been studied and it has been clarified how the institution of mentoring can influence the solution of certain issues of development of the modern socio-cultural Ukrainian environment. First of all, we are talking about the problem of youth unemployment, namely - the first employment, lack of sufficient experience and practical skills for employment. In this context, the issue of mentoring is considered from the point of view of the implementation of the Concept of the dual form of education in Ukraine. That is, it is about giving young people the opportunity to study in vocational, technical or higher education institutions and work in a factory or in an institution in the main specialty. The figure of the mentor, his/her main functions and ways of transferring experience, knowledge and professional skills to the mentee are analyzed. Mentoring is a management technology of providing constant support, personal care, and a councelor is an authoritative advisor. Usually the councelor shares his experience and knowledge with the mentee, helps him to determine the goals, acts as a counselor, helps to build a professional career. Mentoring is always the interaction, cooperation and communication directly in the workplace between the councelor on the one hand, and the employee (mentee) on the other. Mentoring is a long-term relationship (long-term) of acquiring career skills through counseling or psychological support, which is often transformed into a friendly one. As for the managerial function of a councelor, he does not only share his professional skills and knowledge, but also contributes to building a professional career for his mentee. The task of a councelor as a manager is to choose the right approach to work, which would be effective, and to apply effective tactics of organizing the career advancement of his mentee. At the initial stage, the councelor introduces the mentee to the socio-cultural corporate environment, promotes the establishment of useful professional connections, acquaints with the system of norms and values that this organization cultivates. In this way the primary professional socialization of the mentee takes place. The main stages of development of the institute of mentoring in Ukraine, its influence on prevention the problem of youth unemployment and filling the labor market with specialists of popular specialties are outlined.

The energy industry is transforming around three fundamental tipping points; in 2021 distributed energy systems will reach cost parity with grid connected energy; in 2025 electric vehicles will reach cost parity with combustion engines; and in 2045 it will be cheaper to produce electricity using decentralised systems than it will be to transport energy around the grid, excluding the costs of production. This new 'System 2.0' will have a number of defining characteristics: it will be heavily reliant on renewables, which will account for between 40% and 50% of generation; it will be characterised by a large build out of regulated architecture to support the new mix of generation, and heavy competition for unregulated connection assets; distribution systems will shift to the paradigm of the DSO, where load is moved around largely peakless networks using decentralised energy technologies; and retailing will have changed dramatically, away from high churn margin based operations to new digital relationships characterised by large scale operations across new technological platforms. With its high proportion of solar installations, system topography and customer willingness to embrace new technologies, Australia is in a position to lead the world in the transformational times ahead. It has never been more important than now for Governments, both State and Federal, to move beyond the politics and to set energy policy with this objective in mind, ensuring that initiatives across generation, transmission, distribution and retailing reflect long term objectives in market design, investment signalling and regulatory compacts. This study aimed to examine the concept of Managed Long Term Care service from a care manager’s perspective. The Walker and Avant concept analysis approach was applied. The defining attributes include (1) chronic disease or disability, (2) coordination of care, and (3) services. Core components of Managed Long Term Care service were found to be a network of providers and capitation. A conceptual model of Managed Long Term Care service was developed with Managed Long Term Care service operationally defined as “a program with a set of services delivered to patients who have a chronic illness or disability and wish to stay safe and healthy at home in the community. The services or benefits are coordinated by a care manager who serves as a point of contact for the patient and provider(s), and are delivered by providers in the network.” Care management is a core concept of Managed Long Term Care. The triple aims of Managed Long Term Care are to deliver the right care at the right time at the right cost to Managed Long Term Care eligible patients. This paper sought to illuminate and clarify varied perspectives on the concept of Managed Long Term Care service. Without a clear understanding of a community-based service or program, delivery of nursing care may be less effective. This study was the first to examine this widely used but often imprecisely defined community health service from a case manager’s point of view.

This article looks at the relevance of the concept of self-determination to psychiatric patients by studying the existence, importance and manifestations of self-determination. The data were collected by interviewing long-term patients (n = 72) in one mental health care organization, which included a psychiatric hospital and an outpatient department. Self-determination was defined in terms of the right to decision-making, the right to information, the right of consent, the right to refuse treatment, and the right to be heard and taken into account. It was found that, with the exception of the right to refuse and consent, these rights are indeed present in the practice of psychiatric nursing and that they are relevant and important to psychiatric patients. The patients typically gave ethical, practical and legal reasons for a psychiatric patient's right to self-determination. The main reasons why psychiatric patients said they lacked the right to self-determination were illness and staff authority. Recommendations for educational, clinical and methodological implications for the future in nursing are discussed.

In this paper, the authors present the institute of anonymous childbirth which is not regulated by the Republic of Serbia positive laws, but it is in a small number of other European countries. Contrary to the usual review of this issue, through the prism of the child?s right to know its origin, which has become the usual way of reviewing any question from the domain of paedo-centric family law, the authors hereby attempt to shed the light from another angle ? the right of woman (mother) to a private life and the right of a child to be born in medically accepted conditions, which is the interest of the society as a whole. The authors also point out to the possibility of positive demographic effects of introducing this institute which have been the case in the countries which regulate this matter. The arguments in favor of introducing this institute can be found both in comparative law and in the practice of European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg whose rulings reshape the legislation of European countries, thus actually becoming the sources of law. There is an example from French legislation, which, according to the Court?s opinion, established a fair balance between conflicted rights and interests, which was the key point for reaching the famous decision in the case Odi?vre v. France. This decision set a precedent for the following rulings in similar cases, which proved that this decision was not incidental, but represented a long-term orientation of this Court in solving similar cases. In concluding remarks, the authors emphasize that introduction of this institute into Serbian legislation would not mean complete exclusion of the child?s right to know the facts related to his origin, which today is the key argument against its introduction. In any case, this regulation would represent a more advanced solution from the point of view of child?s protection if compared to some that already exist in Republic of Serbia positive law, which completely prevent a child to learn the facts of his origin.
