Education includes character education, which is a deliberate process to instill character in students. Character education is very important, because with character, humans will be noble and become special beings compared to other creatures and even fellow human beings. Because of the very importance of character education, the existence of a method to achieve it also becomes very important. This study aims to elaborate exemplary methods in character development. By using library research and reflection methods, this research found that modeling is the most important and most effective character education method provided that: it is comprehensively carried out by educators in each educational environment; conducted together with other educational methods; and shown in three aspects: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor.

Decreased awareness to internalize and inspire the values of Pancasila will lead to the degradation of the nation's character. If left unchecked will have an impact on the morale and attitudes of the younger generation that are not in accordance with the values of Pancasila. This study aims to determine the implementation of character education based on Pancasila values through role models and habituation. This research is based on the library research process. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative-critical, namely by emphasizing the ability of analysis and analysis of selected library sources. The results showed that the implementation of Pancasila values through role models was done by improving the religious side of students, providing guidance and training students' obedience to obey the rules, arouse the national spirit and love of the motherland, instilling democratic attitudes in students, teaching social care and not apathetic. Whereas the implementation of the values of Pancasila through habituation is done by accustoming students to having an attitude of religious tolerance, mutual love and respect for fellow human beings, not making a difference as an excuse to be divided, accustomed to making deliberative decisions, making friends with anyone and having solidarity.

Character is something that is reflected in human beings through their words, actions and movements in daily life. Good characters are expected by everyone. Indonesia has sparked 18 national character values that must be owned by its citizens. Characters will be formed through daily habituation that is done consistently, exemplary and repetitive. One environment that helps the development of children's character is the school environment, where habituation in the school environment must be in line with habituation in the home environment and community environment. This article was written to look at how the school environment can help in character development, by taking one of the schools that focuses on students' character education, namely the character school in the Indonesia Heritage Foundation (IHF) Depok, in terms of its education management and education model.

This study aims to describe Islamic education according to Imam al-Ghazali and its relevance to education in Indonesia. The method of this research was to use library research. The research data was obtained from the results of the recording of Imam al-Ghazali's thoughts about Islamic education, and education in Indonesia. The validity of data was discussed and consulted from data findings to experts and peers. The results of this study are 1) The principle of the importance of morality integrated in spirituality in the goals of character education in accordance with the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 20 of 2003, 2) The values of Islamic education in al-Ghazali's perspective in Indonesia were characterized by Islamic nuances (Integrated Islamic Schools), 3) Educational methods by paying attention to differences in students and according to their education level, 4) The objectives of al-Ghazali's curriculum bring goodness, both in the world and the hereafter, as stated in the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning Chapter X Article 36 Paragraph 1 and 3.

This study aims to describe Moral Education in the Perspective of Al-Ghazali, Kohlberg and Thomas Lichona. The thoughts of these figures have different perspectives on concepts, theories, methodologies and applications that are relevant to character development and character education in accordance with the context of Indonesian education. This type of research is library research. Data collection techniques using the method of analysis along with data analysis of content. Moral Education In the Perspective of Al-Ghazali, Kohlberg and Thomas Lichona have a different approach. Moral education built by al-Ghazali is through the approach of the story method (saga), and exemplary (uswah al hasanah). Kholberg further described the moral stages of children in accordance with the level of cognitive development. Thomas Lickona analyzed three important components in building character education, namely moral knowing, moral feeling and moral action.

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the relationship between values education and character education in the material of norms and justice for grade 7 SMP/MTs subjects of Pancasila and Citizenship Education. This study uses a qualitative approach by means of library research as a technique of collecting data from various related references to analyze content. The results of the study indicate that value education and character education in civic education have an integrated relationship with each other. With value education, students have values in themselves which are considered good, right, worthy and valuable to take action. Actions based on these values are manifested in character education as a guide for good behavior in the family, school, friendship, community. Good character values must always be instilled in children from an early age so that they become good habits and reflect human beings who have character and are civilized or make good citizens. The values contained in character education are manifested in civic education subjects, one of which is in the material of norms and justice for grade 7 SMP/MTs.Keywords: education, character, values, normsAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterkaitan pendidikan nilai dan pendidikan karakter dalam materi norma dan keadilan kelas 7 SMP/MTs mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan cara studi kepustakaan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data dari berbagai referensi yang terkait untuk menganalisis konten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pendidikan nilai dan pendidikan karakter dalam pendidikan kewarganegaraan saling memiliki keterkaitan yang terintegrasi. Dengan pendidikan nilai, peserta didik memiliki nilai-nilai dalam diri yang mana dianggap baik, benar, layak dan berharga untuk melakukan tindakan. Tindakan berdasarkan nilai tersebut terwujud dalam pendidikan karakter sebagai pedoman dalam bertingkah laku baik di lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, pertemanan, masyarakat. Nilai-nilai karakter yang baik harus selalu ditanamkan sejak dini kepada anak-anak agar menjadi kebiasaan yang baik dan mencerminkan manusia yang berkarakter serta beradab atau menjadikan warga negara yang baik. Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam pendidikan karakter diwujudkan dalam mata pelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan, salah satunya pada materi norma dan keadilan kelas 7 SMP/MTs.Kata kunci: pendidikan, karakter, nilai, norma

Education should lead to creating human beings who believe in the Divine. Here, their personality in the characteristics of ‘Ibadurrahman is to become true believers, as mentioned in the Holy Qur’an. Such characteristics as the faithful servants of God are necessarily taught in Islamic education. The word ‘Ibadurrahman as stated in the Qur’an (Surah al-Furqan, verse 63-77) is indeed the core of character education. This article describes what and how the character of ‘Ibadurrahman works and how it constructs the objectives of Islamic education. Methodically, this article is a library research considering the data examined and analyzed are based on library references. The result shows the Holy Qur’an has set an example of human personality, a true believer who owns the character of ‘Ibadurrahman, the loving servant of God. To this end, the millennial character education must refer to constructing the personality of ‘Ibadurrahman to build civilization

Education is an essential issue for all human beings. Education can be said to improve civilization, grow the nation and form a generation of nations that can carry out various interests for their individuals. The more advanced the era, the nation asks to have quality human resources. It can be obtained with an education system that has a high quality. However, problems arise with the emergence of issues of poor character education such as juvenile delinquency, corruption, racial conflicts, etc. This book explains how important it is to develop character education in schools. The author explains that character development must be balanced with the times. In addition, it is also explained that the quality in the field of science can fall if it is not balanced with character education as a whole. An Introduction to Character Education Books was written for various purposes. The most basic purpose of writing this book is to participate in completing references and expanding educational thinking. Through this book, the author also contributes to the development of educational thinking, especially character education. Moreover, about what is meant by character education and why character education is essential, this book can present various thoughts on character education in education these days. This book is intended primarily for educational actors such as teachers, students, and education observers. It is hoped that this book can serve as a reference for studies related to character education in educational institutions. Building the character of the nation's children is not as easy as turning the palm. However, that does not mean it cannot. Some steps must be carried out so that the concept of character education can proceed appropriately, and this book also explains the indicators of character development in detail.

Islamic Religious Education is a form of education that instills students with religious principles. Islamic religious education is inextricably linked to student character development since both aim to develop pupils into human beings with faith and devotion to Allah SWT. The purpose of this study is to ascertain Islamic religious education learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 1 Karawang, to compile a profile of students at MIN 1 Karawang, and to ascertain the role of Islamic religious education in forming the characteristics of students at MIN 1 Karawang. Field research with a qualitative approach was employed in this study. The study's findings indicate that Islamic religious education is critical in resolving the present character crisis. Islamic Religious Education is effectively carried out at MIN 1 Karawang via the involvement of all current partners.

<p>Pendidikan karakter merupakan langkah  sangat penting dan strategis dalam  membangun kembali jati  diri  bangsa dan menggalang pembentukan masyarakat Indonesia baru. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kepustakaan. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa membentuk  siswa yang berkarakter bukan suatu upaya mudah dan cepat. Hal tersebut memerlukan upaya terus menerus dan refleksi mendalam  untuk membuat rentetan (<em>Moral  Choice</em>)  keputusan moral yang harus ditindaklanjuti dengan aksi nyata, sehingga menjadi hal yang praktis dan reflektif. Diperlukan sejumlah waktu untuk membuat semua itu menjadi (<em>custom</em>) kebiasaan dan membentuk watak atau tabiat seseorang. Karakter pendidikan harus  melibatkan   berbagai pihak,   di keluarga dan rumah tangga, lingkungan sekolah, dan masyarakat. Hal ini merupakan langkah utama yang harus dilakukan ialah menyambung kembali hubungan dan jaringan pendidikan yang nyaris putus diantara ketiga lingkungan  pendidikan tersebut. Pembentukan sifat dan karakter pendidikan tidak akan pernah berhasil  selama  diantara ketiga lingkungan  pendidikan tidak ada keharmonisan dan kesinambungan. Melihat kenyataan ini, membentuk  karakter siswa yang berkualitas diperlukan pengaruh yang kuat dari keluarga, sekolah, dan mayarakat.</p><p><strong>Kata kunci: peran keluarga, sekolah, masyarakat, karakter</strong></p><p><em>R</em><em>O</em><em>LE OF THE FAMILY, SCHOOL AND SOCIETY IN CREATING A QUALITY CHARACTER. Character education is a very important  and strategic step in the rebuilding of national identity and mobilize  the formation  of new Indonesian  society. This study uses library research. The result of this study is that forming character of students  is not an easy and quick effort. It requires continuous effort and deep reflection to make  a series of Moral Choice (moral judgment) that must be followed  up with concrete action,  so that it becomes practical and reflective. The necessary amount  of time to make it into a custom (habit) and establish a character or a person’s character. Character education should involve various stakeholders, in the family and household, school, and community. This is a major step that must be done  is to reconnect the relationship and educational networks that breaking point between the third educational environment. Mental revolution of education requires efforts to print educated human beings by having the motivation to meet the standards of achievement excellence, such as ethos of progress, ethics, achievement motivation, discipline, optimistic, productive, innovative and active views. This can be implemented with character education. Character education is one of the soft skill tools that can be integrated in learning in each subject. Learning activities using an active learning approach have a strategic role in instilling national character values so that students are able to behave and act on values that have become their personality. The purpose of this study was to find and analyze about: 1) Implementation of Character Education to Build Adiwiyata-Based Mental Revolution and Multiculturalism; 2) Implementation of Character Education to Build Mental Revolution in Organizational Culture. This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological naturatistics (phenomenology approach), with a descriptive type of case study research design. Data were analyzed using data analysis techniques: data reduction, data analysis and conclusions. The results of the study are: The application of character education to develop a mental revolution can be started from the character of building the environment. Environmental character is very important for individual development. The implementation of character education in building a mental revolution can emphasize the internalization of multicultural values and Adiwiyata which in the end will form a loving environmental awareness and foster a spirit of tolerance.
