Abstrak: This  research   aims  to  find  out  the  sources   of character   education   at Islamic  schools,   character- building  values application  and actualization.   This research  was conducted  in SMA Mubammadiyah I Yogyakarta  and MA Muallimin  Muhammadiyah   Yogyakarta. The  result  of research   showed  that  teacher's   perception   on character   education  relied  on Islamic precepts   to create  akhakul  karimah-human    beings.  The  sources  of character   education   included Quran  and as=Sunnah/Hadist   as well  as Ijtihad.  The character   value  implantation   was  carried  out through   learning   in the  classroom,   precedents   from  figures,   teachers   and  peers,  well-behaving familiarization   in the presence  of rule and order, personality  report,  and extracurricular   activities  in knowledge,  skill, sport, art, and organization  fields. The form of character-building  values actualization emphasized   more  on the Islamic  activities  such as collectively   shalat,  reading  and reciting  Quran, social service, participating   actively  in IPM, hizbul wathan,  and tapak suci organizational   activities. In addition,   there  were  kader  inti/an,  mubalig  jumat,   mubalig   hijarah,   fasting,  Friday  sermon, becoming  the orator  in pengajian,   and flag ceremony.  Such these  activities  reflected  on religious, cooperative,   leadership,   loving-to-homeland,    social care, environmental   care, and creative  values.Keywords:  Education,  Character,  Muhammadiyah.

This research aims to describe the construction and character education model in Mandailing and Angkola tribes in North Sumatra Province. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, a research method on individuals, groups, organizations, and specific institutions. Instruments or data collection tools used in this research are (1) observation; (2) in-depth interview; (3) document study. This research uses a method known as ethnography or participant observation. The result shows that Mandailing and Angkola tribes’ characters building through 1) Socialization, 2) Enculturation, and 3) Internalization. Socialization including education, clarification, and motivation. Meanwhile, enculturation including imitation, habituation, and evaluation. Construction of education in Mandailing and Angkola tribes through habits, traditions, culture, and Islamic values. Character building in children is an effort to encourage self-awareness and concern for tradition, culture, and preserve local wisdom to sustain from generation to generation. Also, several efforts to preserve culture have been made by collaborating with schools, traditional and religious leaders to combine local wisdom and culture into schools’ curriculum and extracurricular activities.

Today, the attitudes and behavior of Indonesian students are declining. Schools as a component of character building have an important task in inculcating morals, ethical values, noble character, and strong and tough characters. This study was conducted to analyze the implementation of character education in Indonesia. The qualitative research using an ethnographic approach was used in this study on the implementation of character education in elementary schools. A total of 115 participants were interviewed at the school, including principals, teachers, extracurricular coaches, parents, and students. Observation, interviews, and documentation were used as the research instrument. From the results of this study, it was found that character education was very much needed in learning. The character education that was implemented in the elementary school sample includes religion; discipline; responsibility; leadership; tolerance; cooperation; love cleanliness; neatness; courtesy; perseverance; bravery; self-confidence; economical; independence; honesty; acceptance diversity; nationalism; Justice; creativity; and reward achievement. This study also described the character education strategies applied in elementary schools, namely, exemplary; habituation; school climate conditioning; integration in learning across all subjects; and integration through extracurricular activities.   Received: 2 September 2021 / Accepted: 30 October 2021 / Published: 3 January 2022

Decreased awareness to internalize and inspire the values of Pancasila will lead to the degradation of the nation's character. If left unchecked will have an impact on the morale and attitudes of the younger generation that are not in accordance with the values of Pancasila. This study aims to determine the implementation of character education based on Pancasila values through role models and habituation. This research is based on the library research process. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative-critical, namely by emphasizing the ability of analysis and analysis of selected library sources. The results showed that the implementation of Pancasila values through role models was done by improving the religious side of students, providing guidance and training students' obedience to obey the rules, arouse the national spirit and love of the motherland, instilling democratic attitudes in students, teaching social care and not apathetic. Whereas the implementation of the values of Pancasila through habituation is done by accustoming students to having an attitude of religious tolerance, mutual love and respect for fellow human beings, not making a difference as an excuse to be divided, accustomed to making deliberative decisions, making friends with anyone and having solidarity.

<p>The impact of globalization that is currently happening has made Indonesians forget their character. There are many problems that arise in Indonesian society, including the case of the lack of character possessed by students. This research analyzes the influence of religious character education, social care, environmental care on discipline of LP3I Jakarta Polytechnic Office Administration students. In the t test, the religious character variable partially does not have a positive and significant effect on the discipline variable. While the Social Care Character variable partially does not have a positive and significant effect on the discipline variable. However, the variable Character Caring for the Environment partially has a positive and significant effect on the discipline variable. In the F test simultaneously or together the independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable, that the model is able to explain 41.22% of the dependent variable, while 58.78% is influenced by other factors outside the regression model. For the character of caring for the environment, discipline is good and must be improved. Meanwhile, religious character does not affect discipline, this needs to be increased again in the spirit of learning motivation for religious subjects, it is also necessary to make an appropriate curriculum for religious subjects in order to produce disciplined students. For the character of social care, it is necessary to improve soft skills, especially in terms of sharing, so that students have an increased sense of empathy. This also requires an integrated curriculum between subjects, so that graduates Office Administration program of the Polytechnic LP3I Jakarta, can be ready to work with adequate hard skills and soft skills.</p><p class="Style4"><strong>Keywords:</strong> Character Education, Religious, Social Care, Environmental Care, Discipline</p>

Character education has become an interesting issue to discuss among education practitioners lately. This is because the world of education has so far been seen as constrained by absolute interests. Only concerned with intellectual intelligence, reason and reasoning without being accompanied by an intensive development of intellect in the heart, feelings and emotions or what is often known as character education. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Cilegon. This type of research is a qualitative field research. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation. The methodical approach uses study analysis by examining all the data obtained by the author from various sources using semantic analysis and observation. This study uses theory According to D. Yahya Khan, "character education" teaches habits "ways of thinking and" behaviors that "help" individuals to "live and work together as" family, "society, and" nation. As well as' helping others to make 'responsible decisions'. In other words, "character education" teaches students "to think intelligently, activating the" middle brain "naturally. also analyzed the Al-quran Surat Al-An'am Verses 151-153. Then the theory and analysis results are implemented in the learning process of Islamic Religious Education and religious extracurricular activities. The results of this study indicate that (1) In the al-qur'an surah Al-An'am verses 151-153, it contains character values ​​such as religious values, honesty, responsibility, social care and courtesy and curiosity. - Partial character values ​​have also been implemented in religious extracurricular and learning activities including Islamic studies, Islamic Holidays (PHBI) activities.

Education up to now is considered as a medium to build knowledge as well as the personality of children to become better human beings, so positive learning must be instilled in learning. Planting characters can be realized through cooperative learning type group investigation. This research is to overcome learning problems in class related to the character of social care, environmental care, responsibility, and cooperation. This research was conducted in two cycles, using a characteristic behavior observation sheet instrument. Descriptive data analysis by looking at the increase in the percentage of character behavior in students. The implementation of learning in the first cycle is 94% and the second cycle is 100%. Based on the results of observations in the first and second cycles there are positive character developments in students heading in a better direction than before. To build a positive character of character training students need to be carried out continuously so that their development is increasing and entrenched.

Character education as an effort designed to systematically and continuously to form the personality of students based on noble norms which are upheld highly by society. Cultural factors and social environment including religious values, norms, socio-cultural changes, and the goals or expectations to be achieved which reflected in the social interaction relationship is potentially have an effect and contribution to the character development of students. Therefore, the family-based and the local Islamic wisdom character education should become the main focus from the beginning or from the early childhood. Character values that can be developed include obedient attitudes and behaviors in implementing the values of religion, honesty, discipline, environmental care, social care, and values oriented to the development of noble character. Teachers and education personnels play an important role in stimulating the development of the character and personality of early childhood.

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui (1) pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter melalui dongeng, (2) nilai karakter yang dikembangkan, (3) faktor pendukung dan penghambat, dan (4) hasilnya pada TK Lazuardi Kamila. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan Penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian yaitu (1) Pelaksanaan dongeng dimulai dengan perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. (2) Nilai karakter meliputi olah hati, olah pikir, olah raga, dan olah rasa. (3) Faktor pendukung lembaga adanya progam mendongeng, sentra Islamic character building, serta penyediaan fasilitas, dan dari pendidik adalah keteladanan. Dukungan orangtua berupa kemudahan komunikasi dengan pihak lembaga. Faktor penghambat lembaga yaitu karyawan belum bisa menjadi teladan, minimnya media dongeng, serta penilaian belum tersusun sistematis. Pendidik belum menyusun daftar dongeng, kesulitan mencari bahasa, dan penjelasan nilai karakter tidak utuh. Orangtua belum bisa menjadi teladan, dan rendahnya partisipasi dalam melanjutkan pendidikan karakter. Parental support in the form of ease of communication with the institutions. Inhibiting factors, namely agency employees cannot serve as an example, the lack of media stories, as well as the assessment has not been systematically arranged. Educators have not compiled a list of fairy tales, having trouble finding the language, and explanation of the value of the character is not intact. Parents cannot be exemplary, and low participation in continuing education of character. <p>This research aims to find out the scouting extracurricular activities for character education in discipline at Zaid Bin Thabit SMPIT Bogor. The formation of this character is very important, education in Indonesia must have the development of the potential of students to become human beings who believe and obey God Almighty, have good character, have good knowledge, are creative, independent, disciplined and become citizens who are democratic and responsible, and one of the activities that is able to change it is scouting extracurricular activities. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with 30 respondents in eighth grade. Data collection is done through interviews, observations, and documents. Data analysis technique is done by presenting data, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that character education can be obtained namely, the accuracy of program targets, program implementation, and program monitoring in scouting extracurricular activities for disciplined character education. More than half of the students enjoyed participating in scouting activities, and stated that scouting activities needed to be carried out at school. Based on this research, scouting activities can be an alternative in discipline character education.</p><p><strong><br /></strong></p><p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p class="16bIsiAbstrak">Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kepramukaan terhadap pendidikan karakter dalam kedisplinan di SMPIT Zaid Bin Tsabit Bogor. Pembentukan karakter ini sangat penting, pendidikan di Indonesia harus memiliki perkembangan potensi peserta didik agar menjadi manusia yang beriman dani bertaqwa kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, berakhlak mulia, berilmu cakap, kreatif, mandiri, disiplin dan menjadi warga negara yangi demokratis serta bertanggung jawab, dan salah satu kegiatan yang mampu merubahnya adalah kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kepramukaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penilitian ini adalah metode diskriptif kualitatif dengan responden sebanyak 30 orang pada kelas delapan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan penyajian data, reduksi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter dapat diperoleh yakni, ketepatan sasaran program, pelaksanaan program, dan pemantauan program dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler kepramukaan terhadap pendidikan karakter kedisiplinan. Lebih dari setengahnya siswa senang mengikuti kegiatan kepramukaan, dan menyatakan bahwa kegiatan kepramukaan perlu dilaksanakan di sekolah. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, kegiatan kepramukaan dapat menjadi alternatif dalam pendidikan karakter kedisiplinan.</p>

<p class="apa">This research aims at describing the factors influencing the extracurricular activities especially scouting. This research also aims at describing the Scouts skills that can form the students’ character. This research is also to describe the strategies for the formation of the students’ character through scout activities. This research was a qualitative approach. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. The collected data were then analysed descriptively by using three ways namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. The results show that the implementation of character education through scout activities at Junior High school (SMPN 1 Maros) on the aspects of supporting factors is still not optimal. The supporting infrastructure is still lacking. The ratio between the scout leader and students is not comparable. In addition, the amount of funding and financing sources is lacking. This research also found that the Scout skills such as rigging, doing first aid, decoding, camping, marching, navigating and mapping can shape the students’ characters. The characters that can be formed are thoroughness, patience, cooperation, responsibility, social care, courage, confidence, perseverance, creative, religious, patriotism, environmental awareness, independence, discipline, curiosity, and hard work. This research also shows that character formation strategies are intervention, exemplary, habituation, facilitation, strengthening, and the involvement of other parties.</p>
