One of interpersonal soft skill is a skill of interpersonal communication; that is the focus of this research. The purpose of this paper are defined in two parts. First, to explore the interpersonal communication skills of the educational staff. Second, to recognize the power of this interpersonal communication. The research of this paper has been studied by means of qualitative method. The approach of this study is a sequences of in-depth interviews with 4 informants of each faculty with A credit for accreditation examination result. This research result finds that there are 3 interpersonal communication skills of educational staff area. Secondly, there are power of the interpersonal communication skill which have made improvement to service providing in the work unit. The results of this research also explain whether maintaining interpersonal relationship enhances  the service providing.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between leaders’ interpersonal communication skills and nurses’ innovative behaviour. Moreover, innovative behaviour is essential for nurses in today’s dynamic healthcare systems whereby, the interpersonal communication skill has become an increasingly important factor in enhancing innovative behaviour. This study is based on the conceptual framework of interpersonal communication skills, innovative behaviour, and perceived trustworthiness. Using stratified sampling technique, questionnaires were distributed to 246 nurses’ grade U29 in three public state hospitals in the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia. Since this is a correlational study, a quantitative research method is employed to determine the existing relationship between the variables. Findings indicated that the head nurses implemented moderately all the five components of interpersonal communication skills. The existence of perceived trustworthiness was found to improve the interaction between both parties to transform nurses to generate innovation in their work. The study concluded that interpersonal communication skills are required to be implemented by leaders in enhancing nurses’ innovative behaviour.

Abstract: Hong Kong is widely acknowledged as one of the busiest financial and economic center in the world. Hundreds of world-class companies establish their representative offices in this former British colony. For the effectiveness of their operations, the companies, using newspaper advertisement, actively recruits intelligent and smart employees. Current research was designed to investigate how companies appreciate interpersonal communication skills when hiring new employees announced in the advertisements. Content of weekend edition of South China Morning Post, called “Classified Post” (about 100 pages), was scrutinized. To gain a little insight of the same phenomenon in Indonesia some editions of “Klasika” section of daily Kompas was analyzed. It was found that awareness of interpersonal communication skill, in general, was fairly high in the case of Hong Kong (38.2%), but only 9.83% for Indonesia. The top two professions in Hong Kong requiring this skill was public relations official (38.1%) and sale persons (32%). In the case of Indonesia, it was secretary and finance officials.

The problem in this research was students’ learning motivation which is not optimal. It is characterized by a recapitulation of the students’ attendance that is not on maximum category and acquisition of learning outcomes of students which have not reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria in school. This article aims to show the results of research on the effect of interpersonal communication skill of teacher towards students’ learning motivation in grade XI of office administration class in one of the Private Vocational School in Cimahi. The method used in this research was explanatory survey, with respondents as many as 57 students. The results of data analysis showed that the students' learning motivation is in the medium category and teachers' interpersonal communication skills are in fairly effective category. However, teachers' interpersonal communication skills has a positive and significant impact on students’ learning motivation. In order to increase students' learning motivation, it is needed to improve effectiveness of teachers’ interpersonal communication.ABSTRAKPermasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah belum optimalnya motivasi belajar siswa. Hal ini ditandai dengan rekapitulasi kehadiran siswa yang belum maksimal dan perolehan hasil belajar siswa yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) di sekolah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan hasil penelitian tentang pengaruh kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas XI Administrasi Perkantoran di salah satu Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) swasta di Cimahi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey eksplanatory, dengan responden sebanyak 57 orang siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa berada pada kategori sedang dan kemampuan komunikasi interpersonal guru berada pada kategori cukup efektif. Namun demikian, komunikasi interpersonal guru memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, maka perlu ditingkatkan efektivitas komunikasi interpersonal guru.

The good relations would have a direct impact on the impression created in the students’ perception. The existence of a positive image of the lecturers would certainly go hand in hand with the creation of a positive image for the majors and the university eventually. This article used case study with qualitative method. The interview was the main tool of data collection. Researchers chosea few students who are still studying during the research but have been studying for few years (3 years or 6 semesters) as the resources/interviewee. It finds that indirectly style and interpersonal communication skills of lecturers can affect image formation majors and university.

A ship captain must have the ability to lead his ship's crews from various nationalities and cultures. Will be a leader for more responsibility in uniting tasks to carry out the task while on board. Once the complexity of responsibility is inevitable. This paper will discuss how leadership communication skills and a ship captain in command of the crews, interpersonal communication and leadership communication.

Background: Interpersonal Communication is a communication skill and it is one of the competencies that must be had by dentists, therefore, FKG UNAND has been trying to implement this soft skill by implementing it into curriculum. Patient satisfaction on interpersonal communication is thought to be one of the factors that determines the quality of a health service. The aim of the study is to determine whether there is a relationship between interpersonal communication of co-assistant students with service quality based on patient satisfaction at FKG UNAND clinic. Method: The study was an observational cross-sectional analytic approach. The sampling was simple random and the number of subjects were 90 respondents. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires consisting of 17 questions; they were 12 questions regarding interpersonal communication and 9 questions regarding patient satisfaction on service quality. Results: The result of chi-square test for interpersonal communication of co-assistant students-patient is p = 0.041 [p < 0.05]. This shows that there is a significant relationship between interpersonal communication of co-assistant students with service quality based on of patient satisfaction at FKG UNAND Clinic. Conclusion: There is relationship between interpersonal communication of co-assistant students and service quality based on of patient satisfaction at FKG UNAND Clinic.


This study aims to describe and analyze the verbal communication behavior of the freelance driver guide in Kuta, Bali. A good tour guide will help tourists in having a memorable vacation. A tour guide provides assistance, information, and organizes tours. A tour guide is required to have good verbal communication skill because a tour guide is considered as the central agent in the tourism industry. Therefore, a tour guide has to pass the certification test to get a license as a professional tour guide. The certification process is not easy to pass, so nowadays there are many freelance driver guides are found in Bali, especially in Kuta. The theory of communication is used in this study. This study is conducted by using descriptive qualitative method in which the discussion was presented descriptively. The result showed that the context of communication which occurred in the communication process between freelance driver guide and the tourist is interpersonal communication. Non-formal standard English is used by the freelance tour guide to give explanations and information. Meanwhile, the use of registers is more formal in accordance with the rules of tourist guiding. This study aims to examine the impact of guidance group of empty chair technique and self talk technique to improve interpersonal communication skill of students in SMK Mataram Semarang. Research method used experiment, randomized pretest-posttest control group design design involving research subjects as many as 20 people selected by proposive from 82 students. The results showed the technique of empty and effective self talk technique to improve interpersonal communication skills of students with different level of kefeektifan guidance group of self talk technique is higher than the technique of empty chair. The guidance of empty chair technique group and selftalk technique is effective to improve interpersonal communication skill of SMK Mataram Semarang students.

Interpersonal communication has been widely studied and proven to be an important skill possessed by school counselor. Interpersonal communication skills are activities that transfer certain information appropriately by the context of the communication. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in interpersonal communication skills of students majoring in guidance and counseling. The subjects of this study were students of the guidance and counseling department at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, who enrolled in the year 2017, 2018 and 2019. The research method used was quantitative research methods. Data analysis was performed using One-way Anova.The results of this study show that there is no difference in the interpersonal communication skills based on semester level.
