Abstract The organization and function of human society in the global economy is, in the current discourse, part of epistemology, developed on the broader link of social sciences with scientific creativity and artistic imagination. The “chaotic” synergy of globalization has developed on a conceptual network where the logic of conceptual metaphor and cognitive scenario are integrative and circular. It is this assertion we start from in the research on the interdisciplinary character of the metaphor of globalization, with special attention paid to the metaphors of the organic, of space, of movement (the spiral formula, the loop, centre-periphery, the metaphor of the nebula, man as a sum, etc.). The research method (contrastive, functional, analytical) has in view the interdisciplinary and dynamic character of metaphors that highlight the conceptual system beyond the research. The conclusion of the study is that the role of interdisciplinary metaphors is to fuse with the text and arguments of an entire conceptual system it generates.

This paper offers an analysis of convergent political participation in Indonesia, which is represented by the strengthening role of partisan volunteers in elections. Using the library research method, this paper explains why partisan volunteers present strategic positions in elections, especially in 2019. The results of this research reveal that the strengthening of the positions of partisan volunteers in elections is driven by the level of public trust in weak political parties in a strict and complex multiparty system, the emergence of flexible and civic-style political participation, and the co-optation of the voluntary understanding and function by political parties to reach undecided voters. The existence of volunteers was initially based on the antithetical spirit of an elitist political process, but later became a complementary element for political parties in the effort to win elections. Consequently, the involvement of partisan volunteers can lead to transactional politics and signifies a shift in the meaning of volunteers to that of a pragmatic arena.

This paper begins with a sociohistorical analysis of the university as a specific community of interacting intellectuals, which enabled the creation of an epistemological and institutional core for the development of the social sciences. On the other hand, we critically consider and analyze the contemporary university reforms in Europe, in terms of bringing universities and the social community closer together through the social dimension, as well as the dimensions of entrepreneurship and innovation. This paper aims to investigate the role of the university from its inception as a specific and unique intellectual community, towards its current aspirations to connect and integrate with the wider community. Two research tasks have been defined: the first refers to determining the importance of the interaction among intellectuals within the university for the production of scientific knowledge, while the second task involves analyzing the importance of interaction between the university and the social community through the university?s third mission. The research results indicate that the institutional and interactionist framework for the establishment of the university as an institution that communicates with the wider community was gradually formed through its various roles and reforms in the course of social history. However, we also conclude that the social role of the university has always been relatively complementary to the current third mission requirements, and with the historical development of knowledge concerning human society.

The leadership of a Village Head in each village must be able to be a good example and role model for the community. The involvement of the Tirowali village head in Luwu Regency in practical politics in the last 2018 regional head elections is of course contrary to the provisions stipulated in the Law, this is very contrary to his position as a government official who is expected to be neutral in politics. The strategic and significant role of the Election Supervisory Agency, namely how to avoid potential election violations arises by implementing optimal prevention strategies. This study aims to determine the role and function of Bawaslu in carrying out prevention and prosecution of violations of the neutrality of village heads and to determine the factors that affect the credibility of village heads in regional head elections. This study uses a normative legal research method with a case approach which is carried out by examining cases related to the issue of the neutrality of the village head in Luwu Regency, and has become a decision that has permanent legal force. The results of this study indicate that the need to strengthen regulations to give authority to election supervisory agencies to impose sanctions on violations of neutrality in regional head elections, the involvement of village heads in practical politics indicates that government bureaucrats can still be covered by political interests.

Biology vs. sociology and the progress of the national body (a theoretical debate in Bulgarian society in the inter-war period)This text discusses the debate pro and contra the possibilities of biological sociology, the new scientific trend, with respect to its possible benefit for the progress of the nation – a priority issue in the inter-war period. The author presents the arguments of Bulgarian philosophers, sociologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other thinkers in the field of the humanities, who commented on the achievements of biology and medicine and their applications for “improving” man and making social life healthier by means of various kinds of negative eugenics. The article focuses on the theoretical controversy between the two approaches to society; their serious consequences are commented on primarily in the context of this debate. The discussion is also viewed as echoing European trends at that time regarding this new role of biology. Two philosophical schools in Bulgaria – Rehmkeanism and Marxism – supported “autonomous sociology,” according to which human society is radically different from the sphere of nature, and the biological factor is not important for changing society. The opponents of this view, more numerous, maintained that heredity was more important than the influence of social environment and upbringing; hence, eugenics – the science of the genetics-based improvement of people and mankind – held many possibilities. The article presents the variety of stances that appeared after the change of the intellectual paradigm of “biologizing” social sciences, as well as the actual attitudes underlying these stances. The author looks for traces of this debate coming down to the present day.

This research was conducted in Pangandaran District, precisely at the Fish Landing Port (PPI) Cikidang Pangandaran. This PPI Cikidang is included in the type D fishing port of the Fish Landing. The research method used is a case study with data analysis using a Likert Scale. The aim of this research is to describe the role of PPI Cikidang through basic port facilities on the socio-economic characteristics of Pangandaran fishermen who work at PPI Cikidang. Based on observations and interviews through questionnaires, some of the main port facilities are still not optimal in their development and function. This affects the catches of fishermen and the activities of fishermen at the port. Some basic facilities that are still not optimal make fishermen more independent in activities without having to wait for facilities to be repaired or developed. The main facilities that have not been optimal are the pier, harbor ponds and fish markets. At the docks and port ponds there needs to be improvement by dredging the bottom of the water so that it can get inside, the tides can be conditioned. In the fish market, its function is still less than optimal because it is only used as a canteen. The improvement is to re-socialize the function of this fish market and try to carry out its function properly by increasing the fisheries business budget around PPI Cikidang.

The development of democracy, the role and function of political lebih parties is more complete. This is due to the large expectations that are developing, so the function and role of the party will increase. However, the pattern of recruitment of candidates who do not consider the requirements to gain the votes of political parties. Based on the aforementioned background, the problem to be studied is the regulating the recruitment patterns of legislative candidates by political parties. The research method used in this discussion is normative juridical research using a research proposal-law (statute approach) and accessing concepts (conceptual approach). there is a legislative candidate who can be moved freely to another party and only joins when he will be nominated as a candidate by setting aside the old conditions as cadres approved by the party. Through this agreement, it was agreed that political parties could be emphasized by the principle of their parties to select candidates through clear and transparent recruitment patterns

The size and organization of collagen fibrils in the extracellular matrix is an important determinant of tissue structure and function. The synthesis and deposition of collagen involves multiple steps which begin within the cell and continue in the extracellular space. High-voltage electron microscopic studies of the chick embryo cornea and tendon suggested that the extracellular space is compartmentalized by the fibroblasts for the regulation of collagen fibril, bundle, and tissue specific macroaggregate formation. The purpose of this study is to gather direct evidence regarding the association of the fibroblast cell surface with newly formed collagen fibrils, and to define the role of the fibroblast in the control and the precise positioning of collagen fibrils, bundles, and macroaggregates during chick tendon development.
