Entrepreneurshi in european integration conditions is one of the key success factors in a context of individuals, companies or cities and local government units or states alike. In case of individuals entersprise attitude is recognized as a set of personal features. In case of cities it can be measured by sufficiency in gaining European funds and ability to apply them. In the times of globalisation and strong competition between cities ability to efficient management can decide in „the chase for space”. This is even more important since cities play nowadays the basic part in social-economic growth processes and, in consequence, in increasing competitiveness of various types of spatial systems. As a result of numerous functional-spatial changes a lot of city areas have been devastated and other city parts gained a new rank. However, to create harmonious city space starting ventures which restore spatial order and meaning of marginalized areas turned out to be necessary. The rule of maximization of cities value and their real estate by creating high quality of public space is nowadays realized among the others by revitalization programs. The aim of this essay is to indicate the revitalization activities in framework of Integrated Operational Program of Regional Development and Regional Operational Programs, comparison of means dedicated on revitalization and analysis of their application in małopolskie and świętokrzyskie woyevodship in which the results of application contest have been already publicated.

The success factors of organizations are developing continuously and every few year’s new success factors are added to the complex demanding and ever-changing competitive environment in which organizations operate. There is no doubt that the primary focus of an organization should be to achieve higher satisfaction of its customers by implementing rigorous processes to continuously improve its products and services quality - but in the current competitive environment this is not enough to achieve sustained success and all interested parties needs and expectations have to be met. Organizations have to implement an effective and efficient management system that is led by top management and is focused on the organization ability to meet the needs and expectations of its customers and other relevant interested parties, over the long term as the way to achieve sustained success of the organization. Doing so organizations are moving from product quality which is the scope of ISO 9001 to quality of an organization which is the scope of the new ISO 9004 which has reached these days the level of draft of international standard (DIS) and is planned to be published in 2018 and will provide a guidance to organizations on how to achieve sustained success.

This paper is edited on the basis of intensive round-table discussions within a relatively small group of colleagues interested and involved in thinking, making and working towards quality of public space, to discuss, problematise and evaluate what is going on and to speculate on actions suitable for these times, and the times that follow. The title of the round table emphasises questions, deliberately pointing at the enigmas posed by current situation. We see it as an opportunity to get and think together in a structured brain-storming session that encourages brave and risky discussion. The “task” for all of the participants is to reflect upon practices/experiences that we are individually familiar with, those that we are witnessing these days, and - to suggest what would be the key questions /issues that need to be (re)thought and addressed in the weeks, months, perhaps years to come. The roundtable discussions were held online on 1st May 2020 – then recorded, transcribed, edited and published as a joint piece.
