Turkey is an appropriate country for viticulture due to its favourable climatological characteristics. Although Turkey produces plenty of grapes in the fertile soil and is one of the world's leading countries in terms of vineyard area, it is known that only 11% of the grapes produced are used in wine production. The difficulties encountered at every stage of the wine sector in Turkey are reflected in oenology education briefly defined as the science of wine and it is observed that the number of schools training qualified personnel in the field of wine is low. However, Turkey's closest rivals in terms of vineyard area and production quantities of grapes take place on the European continent where the situation is quite different. In these countries, the education of oenology is of great importance, and those who have completed the oenology education are given the title of oenologist. The purpose of this study prepared with content analysis method was to compare the oenology education in Turkey to oenology education in Europe and put forward some suggestions for oenology education in Turkey. As a result of the study, the following conclusions have been reached: Oenology education in Turkey is a neglected area of study for a lot of different reasons, oenology education is not given at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, and wine production technology education is given only in one state university at the associate's degree level. It is thought that the study will contribute to the literature, next researchers, the wine sector, and especially the institutions that provide education on wine.

It is seen that studies on learning spaces in higher education institutions are very few in the literature. However, spaces have the power to affect behaviors and interactions with others. This study aims to determine the wishes of university students regarding the physical environment. For this purpose, it is planned to determine the missing things in the existing physical environment according to the “wish poems” of undergraduate students and their related wishes. Accordingly, the sample of the study consisted of 211 participants among the students of the faculty of education at a state university. In the study, for the purpose of revealing the views of the undergraduate students on the physical environment of their school, they were given a semi-structure, open-ended question format as “I wish there were … in my classroom/faculty/campus” and asked to write down 3 wishes regarding the physical environment. The obtained data were analyzed by using the content analysis method. In the study, different numbers of conceptual categories were reached under each sub-title with the method of coding and imaging. At the end of the study, 578 clear responses were obtained, and after examination, these responses were gathered under 35 conceptual categories in total. The categories about which the students had the most wishes were related to the furniture and equipment in their classrooms (f=51, 26.2%), social (f=33, 18.5%) and scientific (f=32, 17.9%) areas at the faculty and green spaces at the campus (f=61, 29.6%). Consequently, as pioneers of social and scientific change, it is important for universities to reevaluate their existing physical facilities based on the wishes of students in terms of feeding their innovative instincts.

According to the discussions about the need for practical actions to implement the theory contained in the Political Educational Projects (PPP) of undergraduate courses, the objective is to analyze the discourse of ten teachers from two courses in different areas (Applied social sciences and health sciences). We checked the issues that are part of these projects, trying to discover if there is some consistency between theory and the teaching practice, when we consider the project of each course. The research can be configured as a field research, descriptive, and qualitative, having the data analyzed from an interpretative epistemology, using the content analysis method with categories defined a priori. Five professors of the Administration course of the State University of Paraíba and five professors of Occupational Therapy of the Federal University of Paraíba were interviewed. The semi-structured script was constructed based on the precepts of Masseto (2012) on the content and the need for a project well developed and implemented by the institution and teaching. According to the theoretical model, the results showed weakness in the teaching practices when these are compared to what one has been in the projects of each course, highlighting the need for better educational planning, engagement with the project, and integration between teaching and institution.

This research examines the agenda and frames used by the Reporter newspaper editorial coverage of issues and actors before and after the reform in Ethiopia. The study applies a quantitative content analysis method and examined 99 (Period 1 = 57 and Period 2 = 42) editorials in all periods. The source of data and the period of data collection were purposely selected. The results indicated that societal issues, government, and party issues were frequent in both periods. The professional journalist was the only Author in both periods. More government criticism and more reforms were mentioned before the reform. Compared with editorials published before and after the reform, noticeable changes were observed in government critique, attribution of responsibility frames, human interest frames and economic issue frames. However, content selection, sources of information, mentioned reforms, conflict relationship frames, and ideological frames didn’t have relationship with the date of publication. Finally, the Reporter editorials coverage did change significantly in many respects, although it is difficult to determine the causes of the changes—economic factors, reduced political control, social changes or globalization forces.

This article analyses and identifies the extent to which the different pre- and post-independence typologies of governance in Benin have facilitated the promotion of lifelong learning as instrument for development. Relying on the thematic content analysis method, the article identifies three themes and three main typologies of governance spanning the independence preparation period and post-independence era. Of the three styles of governance, only the Marxist–Leninist government succeeded in promoting lifelong learning by default. Lifelong learning being one type of learning that promotes the re-engineering of society through the constant dissemination of knowledge, information and know-how and through the constant retooling of the citizenry for purpose of investment of their talents in ever renewable ways, Benin is called upon to prioritise the promotion of lifelong learning soon. Specifically, Benin has been advised to restructure her national educational sector by bringing the whole sector under one Minister of Education with a view to enabling a seamless interaction across all sections of the national education. This restructuring as described in Figure 1 within the article, would facilitate timeous access to knowledge, information and skills that would enable individuals to participate in different sectors of the economy and thereby advance rapid national socio-economic development.
