The purpose of this study is to specify the relationship between the perception of classroom interaction and the level of soft skills. A cross-cutting, correlal observational study was conducted on a sample of 507 students from the seventh to tenth cycle of the branch's professional schools in Arequipa from a private Peruvian university, recruited electronically in 2020. The instruments applied were the Virtual Classroom Interaction Perception Scale and the Soft Skills Scale. The results show the existence of a positive weak relationship between the perception of virtual classroom interaction and soft skills. The correlation was .114, the size of the effect is medium, being 0.3376389. In terms of statistical power, the value exceeds 0.80, obtaining the value of 0.950. It is concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship between the variables, even though the relationship between the two variables is weak.

This study aims to examine the relationship between loneliness and selfie-liking. The hypothesis of this research is that there is a positive relationship between loneliness and selfie-liking among college students. This research used correlational quantitative methods. Participants in this research was 64 students, which was taken by purposive sampling technique, with inclusive criteria: like to do selfie and in the last month post the selfie photos to social media as much as 4-6 times. Data were collected using the Loneliness Scale from UCLA Version 3 and selfie-liking measured by Selfie-Liking Scale.  The correlation was analyzed using the Spearman Correlation Test with SPSS 23 for Windows. The results showed there was a positive and significant relationship between loneliness and self-liking (r=.297; p=.009) which means the higher loneliness, the higher selfie-liking.

The objectives of this study analyzing the relationship between students learning achievement in the classroom and students of furniture engineering’s practice achievement. This study was conducted in SMKN 4 Jakarta, the population of this study were the year XI students which specialized in Furniture Engineering Competences and wood construction engineering, year 2012/2013 which consist of 18 students. The number of the sample is 12 students. The problem which the writer got from this study was that the students learning achievement was in proportion to the practice achievement, dan the oppositeThe instrument of this study is a test which is used to know the relation between students’ learning achievements in the classroom and the students’ practice achievement. The quesioner shows that the data were valid and the reability was high with r11 = 0.8793, with 30 point of questions (20 multiple choice questions and 10 essay questions). The result of the study showed that students’ learning achievements average score was 76.7 and students practice achievement average score was 78.67.It showed that the practice has a positive relationship (0.942). In other words, students’ learning achievement give contributions to the percentage of practice ability. The students have to prepare themselves to be focus to the lesson or material from the teacher and the teacher should prepare the material and better learning method to help the students to be able to receive all the materials.

This study aims to find out the relationship between problematic internet use (PIU) and academic procrastination in college students. This study took place in the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada with 190 students as the participants. The data were collected using Academic Procrastination Scale (APS) and Generalized Problematic Internet Use-2 (GPIUS2) that has been adapted in Bahasa. Hypothesis is analyzed using Pearson's product-moment correlation which shows that there is a positive relationship between problematic internet use and academic procrastination (r = 0,478; p = 0,000 (p<0,01). Furthermore, additional analysis shows that there is no different level in problematic internet use and academic procrastination based on gender. Other than that, there is also a no different level of academic procrastination based on the duration of internet usage in one day. Conversely, there is a different level of problematic internet use based on the duration of internet usage in one day.

Relationships between phonological and morphological complexity have long been proposed in the linguistic literature, with empirical investigations often seeking complexity trade-offs. Positive complexity correlations tend not to be viewed in terms of motivations. We argue that positive complexity correlations can be diachronically well-motivated, emerging from crosslinguistically prevalent processes of language change. We examine the correlation between syllable complexity and morphological synthesis, hypothesizing that the process of grammaticalization motivates a positive relationship between the two features. To test this, we conduct a typological survey of 95 diverse languages and a corpus study of 21 languages with substantive (predominantly &gt;10,000 words) corpora from the DoReCo project. The first study establishes a significant positive correlation between syllable complexity, measured in terms of maximal syllable patterns, and the index of synthesis (morpheme/word ratio). The second study tests the hypothesis that the relationship between syllable complexity and synthesis holds at local (word-initial and word-final) levels and within noun and verb types, as predicted by a grammaticalization account. While the findings of the corpus study are limited in their statistical power, the observed tendencies are consistent with our predictions. This study contributes important findings to the complexity literature, as well as a novel method which incorporates broad typological sampling and deep corpus analysis.

LANGUAGE NOTE | Document text in English; abstract also in Chinese. This study aims to identify the relationship between life satisfaction and wellness in Chinese college students. A survey design was used. Based on the analysis of 338 sets of data, a significant and positive relationship between life satisfaction and wellness was established. In addition, students were found to be least satisfied with their living environment and most satisfied with their relationship with friends. Of the five dimensions of wellness, students scored the lowest in the physical dimension. 本文目的是探討本港大學生的生活滿足感與身心康盛的關係。透過分析收回的338份問卷,結果顯示同學之生活滿足感與其身心康盛有顯著的正面關係,而本港的大學生對朋輩關係之滿意程度最高,對生活環境之滿意程度則最低。在五項身心康盛的自我評估範疇中,本港大學生在身體康盛的得分最低。

As mundane and empty expressions as they may seem, greetings are necessary social behavior for the establishment and maintenance of interpersonal relationships no matter what setting they occur in or who the interlocutors are. We hypnotized that greeting behaviors may especially be beneficial with college students in academic contexts. With a socio-pragmatic perspective in mind, the present study investigates the importance of caring classroom behavior between college students and teachers. Quantitative analysis elicited from online questionnaires analyzed via SPSS in search of significance across variables, such as gender, age, and social status, showed both students and teachers strongly believe that exchanging greetings are a crucial part of classroom interaction as it leads to the overall success of the relationship between them. In an era of achievement-oriented education, students are expected to pave their way efficiently towards potential professional levels needed in the job market. It is therefore essential that research exploring, even the most mundane aspects of teacher/student interaction, helps in tailoring to the students’ needs and interests.

This study investigated the relationship between creativity and personality among college students from a variety of major fields of study. Indicators of creativity were ratings of written stories, lists of personal hobbies, and scores on the Creative Personality Scale (CPS; Gough, 1979). Personality was assessed broadly using the NEO‐Five Factor Inventory (Costa and McCrae, 1985) as well as measures of depersonalization, intolerance of ambiguity, faith in intuition, and problem‐solving styles. The results showed a positive relationship between openness to experience and all creativity measures. Moreover, high scores on intuition and extraversion were the best predictors for creativity as measured by the CPS. Story creativity was predicted by low scores on conscientiousness. Depersonalization was not significantly related to creativity. The results of this investigation confirm and extend previous research in demonstrating a close association between creativity and specific personality traits. Future research should clarify the nature of the creative personality across individuals of differing levels and domains of expertise. Copyright © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

This report investigated the relationship between the quantity of life change that students had experienced during the year in which they visited a physician for a physical illness. The sample represented 18 diseases and 106 students. A significant positive relationship of .412 ( p < .05) of life events arid illness seriousness was found.

U.S. college students (N = 200) completed measures of Facebook use, friendship contingent self-esteem, personality, and narcissism. Those who strongly connected their self-esteem with their quality of friendship relationships were predicted to be more active Facebook users. As predicted, a significant positive relationship between Facebook intensity and friendship contingent self-esteem was found. No significant relationships between Facebook use and personality or narcissism were discovered. Implications for how and why college students use social networking media are discussed, including connections to previous research which discuss the relationship between high friendship contingent self-esteem and risk for depressive symptoms.
