<p><em>Adolescents as the future generation should have the character to be proud of and be a role model to the next generation. However, </em><em>this time</em><em>, there are not a few Indone</em><em>sian a</em><em>dolescent learners do negative things, such as skipping school , involved in brawls , drugs , and sexual harassment . Besides harming themselves such misbehaviors are also harmful to society. All parties, namely families, schools and the community, must work together to find solutions for it. One of the things that can be done is to provide character education in the family and schools  that teach children to make decisions wisely and practise it in their daily lives so that they can contribute positively to their environment</em><em>.</em></p>

Facing the rapid changing world, concern on the future of the nation is increasing. This is due to the fact that a lot of practices in schools, families, as welf as in society do not conform with the etical conduct, moral, and good manner that are universially accepted by human being. Therefore, all people who concern on the future of the nation, especially educators, should aware of the importance of character education, in order to save the future generation from moral degradation. Related to the problem, this aims at trigerring the awareness of educator to the importance of character education, by discussing the conceptual meanings ( what, why, and how) of character education, then followed by the possibility for implementation, and ended with the implication on education and teacher education.

Environmental Ethics is currently a highly important theme in Christian Ethics. This is due to the disturbing results of the current ecological research. Scholars today speak of “ecocide” – a term which describes the on-going destruction of ecosystems by means of pollution, deforestation, modern warfare, toxic waste and the increase in poverty. Of special concern is the accusation that Christianity with its emphasis on the dominium terrae is partly to blame for this state of affairs. This article investigates the magnitude of ecocide as well as the historical influences of Christianity. It focuses on a re-assessment of the Christian approach as well as the responsibilities of governments, educators, churches and corporations to take care of creation and the rights of the future generation.

This study aims to describe an entrepreneurial strategy based on character education for students in Dayah Ummul Ayman, Kec. Samalanga, Kab. Bireuen. This study used descriptive qualitative methods. Informants in this study were selected through purposive techniques, and data were collected through interviews, observation, and literature studies. The results showed that to give birth to future Muslim businesspeople, Waled Nu, as the entrepreneurship coach of Dayah Ummul Ayman, developed three strategies. First, integrating the Dayah into an entrepreneurial center by facilitating students with various facilities and infrastructure to support entrepreneurial programs. Second, implementing seven procedures in entrepreneurial activities, and Third, inculcating character values included in entrepreneurial activities. These three things are used as a "Road Map" by Waled Nu in supporting and producing to the future generation of Muslim businessmen. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pemberdayaan kewirausahaan berbasis pendidikan karakter bagi santri di Dayah Ummul Ayman, Kec. Samalanga, Kab. Bireuen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Informan dalam penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive, dan data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam upaya melahirkan calon pebisnis muslim masa depan, Waled Nu selaku pembina wirausaha Dayah Ummul Ayman membangun tiga strategi yaitu mengintegrasikan dayah menjadi balai wirausaha dengan cara memfasilitasi santri dengan berbagai sarana dan prasarana untuk mendukung program wirausaha. Kedua, mengimplementasikan 7 strategi dalam kegiatan wirausaha, dan Ketiga; penanaman nilai-nilai karakter yang dimasukkan dalam kegiatan kewirausahaan. Tiga hal tersebut dijadikan “Road Map” oleh Waled Nu dalam mencetak dan melahirkan generasi pebisnis muslim masa depan.

<p><em>The formation of character is a discourse that continues propagated by the government of Indonesia today. This is done because the condition of the nation's degraded in many areas of life. Various types of crimes such as rape, violence, theft, fights between students, corruption, and others allegedly happened as a result of the moral degradation of the Nation. Character education is the only hope which is able to restore the values of goodness and glory of the nation. So therefore, children as the future generation should be provided with character education from the beginning.</em></p><p><em>Format of character education which is given to children, therefore, must be clear and precise objectives. Ancient Hindu educational system places great emphasis on character formation in the curriculum, so that when they are finished, besides exellence in science also grew into a wise person. Gurukula system applied that has lasted for thousands of years and is considered capable of being the foundation of both the State and society to educate and transform knowledge to the younger generation as well as capable of being a great place to shape their character.</em></p>

ABSTRAK   Pendidikan karakter harus dimulai sejak dini. Karena anak-anak adalah generasi penerus bangsa. Pembentukan karakter sejak usia dini sangat mempengaruhi karakter masa depan bangsa ini. Membangun karakter akan tumbuh dengan baik, jika dalam proses pertumbuhan mereka mendapat perhatian dan bimbingan dari orang tua dan sekolah. Mengelola karakter anak-anak tidak cukup hanya melalui pembelajaran di kelas, tetapi sekolah harus menerapkan sebuah pembelajaran melalui pembiasaan atau budaya sekolah. Kegiatan pembiasaan yang dilakukan oleh Madrasah Tebas Parit Jawai, Kabupaten Sambas bukan hanya memberikan perintah, tetapi guru memberikan contoh praktis secara langsung  kepada anak-anak   Kata Kunci : Manajemen, Karakter, Anak.   ABSTRACT   Character education must begin early. Because children are the future generation of the nation. Formation of characters from an early age greatly influences the future character of this nation. Character building will grow well, if in the process of growth they get attention and guidance from parents and school. Managing children's character is not enough to only be taught through classroom subjects, but schools also apply it through habituation or school culture. Habitual activities carried out by the Parit Jawai Private Islamic Junior High School Madrasah Tebas, Sambas District are not just orders, but the teacher gives direct or exemplary practice to the children. Abstrak Generasi penerus bangsa wajib memiliki karakter kebangsaan yang akan menjadi tumpuan bagi kelangsungan bangsanya. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan melakukan internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter warga negara yang baik. Transmisi nilai-nilai karakter warga negara yang baik bisa dilakukan melalui pendidikan. Artikel ini mengkaji bagaimana KH. Bisri Musthofa menanamkan semangat dan nilai-nilai kebangsaan kepada generasi penerus melalui dua kitabnya, Syiir Ngudi Susila dan Syiir Mitra Sejati. Dalam kitab Syiir Ngudi Susila, KH. Bisri Mustofa mengajarkan agar seorang anak memiliki fondasi karakter pribadi yang kuat sebelum mengemban amanah yang besar di masa depan. Sedangkan dalam kitab Syiir Mitra Sejati, KH. Bisri Musthofa mengajarkan prinsip-prinsip penting dalam menjadi pribadi yang baik dalam lingkungan keluarga, sosial, masyarakat, hingga menjadi warga negara yang baik secara lebih detil dan mendalam. Transmission of the values of the character of a good citizen can be done through education. This article examines how KH. Bisri Musthofa instilled the spirit and values of the nation to the next generation through his two books, Syiir Ngudi Susila and Syiir Mitra Sejati. In the Syriir Ngudi Susila, KH. Bisri Mustofa teaches that a child has a strong foundation of personal character before carrying out a big mandate in the future. While in Syiir Mitra Sejati, KH. Bisri Musthofa teaches important principles in becoming a good person in the family, social, community, to being a good citizen in more detail and depth. The recruitment of children into armed activities is a dangerous phenomenon that affects societies in their security, safety and maintenance of their future by raising children on the concepts of killing and sabotage as they are the future generation of the future, as the child sometimes resorted to carrying out armed actions of his choice because of the economic disability of the family or to provide protection from the oppression of armed groups for members of his family Or to be recruited by someone who takes care of his upbringing and care, or for him to be forcibly recruited, such as kidnapping or coercion practiced by armed groups against the child, as the search for criminal responsibility for the recruitment of children for use in armed actions is an important topic that has not come C. Criminal laws are a matter of child recruitment. Rather, this crime is stipulated in international law under the Convention on the Rights of the Child of 1989. Therefore, states must provide special protection for children to prevent their exploitation or abuse or prevent serious and inhuman violations that affect them, such as their recruitment into armed actions, whether by others or not. By whoever has legal authority over him.

Abstract: Character education provides values that can be owned and practiced by the child so that all deeds in his life have a characteristic value in the future. The problem of character education in the family that emerged today is the disintegration of character traits in early childhood. Cultural values on the family and society or more precisely the values of heritage characters are still able to maintain well and still original in some people who still hold Java Javanese culture. This study aims to find answers to the right character education pattern for early childhood in Pleret District. This research will also construct early childhood character education in Pleret Subdistrict in order to become a foothold for every family in teaching character education to their children.   Abstrak: Pendidikan karakter memberikan nilai-nilai yang dapat dimiliki dan diamalkan oleh anak agar semua perbuatan dalam hidupnya mempunyai nilai yang berkarakter di kemudian hari. Problematika pendidikan karakter pada keluarga yang muncul saat ini adalah lunturnya perilaku berkarakter pada anak usia dini.  Nilai budaya pada keluarga dan masyarakat atau lebih tepatnya nilai-nilai karakter warisan leluhur masih mampu terjaga dengan baik dan masih asli di sebagian orang jawa yang masih memegang teguh budaya jawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan jawaban atas pola pendidikan karakter yang tepat untuk anak usia dini di Kecamatan Pleret. Penelitian ini juga akan mengkontruksi pendidikan karakter anak usia dini di Kecamatan Pleret agar dapat menjadi pijakan kedepan untuk setiap keluarga dalam mengajarkan pendidikan karakter pada anak-anak meraka.

Indonesia as a nation-state and ethnic group that the majority is Muslim, has many of heritage value that can shape its personality into a superior character. Seeing the phenomenon of the industrial era 4.0 as if forgetting the character values as human identity which inevitably lost the divine values. To build the nation's next generation with good character is the responsibility of all lines of life, because education is truly our shared responsibility, for sure this is not an easy matter, therefore awareness of all parties is needed that character education is very important to be implemented. Although all parties are responsible for character education, but the family is the central pillar as the first means for instilling character education so that a solid Muslim personality is shaped. Family failure in instilling character values towards a child will complicate other institutions outside of the family (including schools) in an effort to improve the character of the child. Transfer of habituation based values is an alternative process that must be carried out continuously, so that the formation of children's  character individually, restoring divine values in Muslim personality. thus it will form socio-culture in society and socio-cultural shape the country that has character.

A dignified national generation can be formed by instilling the values of character education. Value is a normative standard that influences humans in determining their choices. One of the figures who has the value of character education and has a big influence in Indonesia is Sutan Sjahrir as one of the founding fathers of the Nation. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out the values of character education contained in Sutan Sjahrir as one of Indonesia's heroes based on his existence in Indonesia's historical records. The method used in this writing is library research. Library research or library research is a research method that utilizes library sources to obtain research data. Data analysis includes four components, namely data collection, data reduction, data display, and data verification or conclusion drawing. The basic character values possessed by Sutan Sjahrir include religion, tolerance, democracy, hard work, responsibility, creative, independent, communicative and fond of reading. Sutan Sjahrir's character education values for the nation & state are related to those stated, including patriotism, love for the country, self-sacrifice, nationalism, and social care. These values are very useful in shaping character to create the next generation who has a social spirit and become the pride of the family, nation and state. Tolerance, democracy, hard work, responsibility, creative, independent, communicative and fond of reading. Sutan Sjahrir's character education values for the nation & state are related to those stated, including patriotism, love for the country, self-sacrifice, nationalism, and social care.
