The growing role of social networks in the processes of interaction with the audience, as well as changes in people’s perception of information towards the prevalence of visual data, offer new promotion opportunities. Emphasis is placed on the visual communication in the Internet environment through website or other digital media with image content. The authors describe the relevant results of implementation of creative ideas for the well-known coffee shop chain in the resort city of Sochi. The subject of this research is the use of visual communications in promoting a coffee shop. The study employs the methods of observation, SWOT analysis, sociological survey of target audience, communication audit, and brand visualization. The goal of this article lies in examination and development of visual communications in HoReCa sales (hotel and restaurant business) on the example of the coffee shop “SURF Coffee”. The authors aim to explore the concept of visual communications in marketing and the potential of visual merchandizing in brand promotion, as well as to formulate and implement the ideas on the development of visual communications in digital environment, calculate the effect of implementation of the proposed measures. Attractive visual content is currently the foundation of online promotion, namely in SMM. This includes the design, arrangement, overall color scheme, and style of posts. Therefore, it is very important to optimize the appearance of corporate accounts of HoReCa enterprises in social networks. It is indicated that the current design should be dynamic and correspond to the global trends and events. However, the presence of “live” and unique photo and video content that brings the brand closer to its target audience is crucial. It creates the "presence effect", enticing the potential guests to visit the coffee shop.

This scientific article considers all aspects, modern importance and growing role of the social media marketing and advertisement in the general spectrum of marketing activity for developed and developing brands. Investigational actuality and basic directions of application of all spectrum of instruments of social networks for the sake of advancement of product and the processes of forming perception of trade mark and forming the image of brand are analyzed by the authors of the article. The given scientific article highlights the most popular trends and patterns of goods and trademarks’ promotion in the world in the context of updating the concept of advertising on social networks. The bigger and more engaged your target audience is on social media networks (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc), the easier it will be for you to achieve every other marketing or business goal. The importance of social media marketing’s assistance in attracting new potential clients and customers to the company is also considered in the given article. Besides that, the authors of the article list and analyse wide spectrum of basic trends considering promotion and advertising in 2019 among the well-known brands. In addition to this all, the list of the most successful publicity advertisement campaigns of this year and brands which were promoted with their assistance are listed and analysed. In the context of the study, it shows up that advertising campaigns play a significant role not only in reaching sales but also in generating overall customer loyalty to the brand. This makes it possible to argue that the most reputable brands should have an important social goal that will be positively accepted by society and target audience in addition to the high quality and usability of the products or services. Social networking is the easiest way to see the social response to your promotion and lead to an instant purchase. Therefore, relying on the experience of the already well-known multinational and transnational corporations, social media marketing should take a significant share of the overall promotion of the company. The connection between the brand and potential customer should be built on the emotions that accompany consumers when viewing ads and using products. This scientific article eventually declares conclusions and prognoses in relation to subsequent development of these instruments and platforms for advancement and branding of small and large enterprises in future. It states that emotional connection between person and brand is much more effective for the company than an expensive ad.

The purpose of this study is to regard the family traditions of a present-day Tuvan family as a precondition for the successful socialization of younger generations. We conducted a sociological survey to identify the significance of family traditions in the process of upbringing children. For this, 148 married couples, who had children under 18 years old, participated in the survey. A sociological research questionnaire was compiled and presented on the platform www.survey.yandex.ru : The questions were created on the website and distributed among the target audience through social networks. The respondents were asked 15 questions of both open-ended and close-ended types. The results of the study can be used while developing regional programs to support young families as well as an aspect of the family’s ability to educate the young generation. Moreover, the practical application of the results is possible in enhancing the activities of existing social entities while organizing events to maintain a respectful attitude to family traditions.

The article is devoted to e-diplomacy (also known as digital diplomacy) which is a component of public diplomacy. Digital diplomacy is a one of the new tools of foreign policy that is aimed to solve the problems of international and interethnic relations. The article examines the concept and definition of digital diplomacy that concentrates on the use of social networks and digital media in the field of foreign policy. Some risks and threats of e-diplomacy are also considered. The use of opportunities of information and communication technologies for solving the problems of foreign policy and influence on mass consciousness by means of the Internet, social networks is analyzed.

Feminist movements are currently asserting themselves by the capacity of involvement and aggregation of activists and the public identified with the feminist cause, who have in common both the struggle for women's rights and the spaces where they create existence and attribute dimension to that struggle: digital social networks. The purpose of this article is to understand the communication strategies, supported by dialogue, that underlie this aggregation and sharing of meaning when it comes to feminism and its close connection with the fight for gender equality, the end of gender violence or the eradication of racism. Based on the theoretical review on networked PR (Grunig, 2009; Kent, 2017), networked dialogue (Theunissen & Wan Noordin, 2011; Smith & Taylor, 2017; and networked feminism (Fullagar, Parry and Johnson, 2019; Keller, Mendes & Ringrose, 2018; Araüna, Willem & Tortajada, 2019; Yang, Uysal & Taylor, 2017), we applied content analysis (Bardin, 2006) to publications and digital interactions on two Portuguese feminist platforms. Thus, in an adaptation of the model proposed by Lane and Kent (2018) - Dialogic Engagement Interaction - this exploratory study analyzes the dialogical involvement of Coletiva and INMUNE - Instituto da Mulher Negra de Portugal. The analysis results, however, shows a low level of dialogical involvement between organizations and their audiences and, consequently, a reduced collective force to stop online hate clusters with increasing protagonism and with highly technological and effective modus operandi. Thus, the outcomes indicate that the two platforms analyzed do not apply communication strategies through dialogue, limiting exchanges between the organization and the public to the classic top-down communication option, summarizing the practice of dialogical involvement in social digital media to the publication unidirectional content and openness to comments and other reactions. As for the hypotheses raised, only one of them was validated, taking into account that 1) there was no significant dialogical involvement in the content analysis of the two feminist platforms, and 2) although we were unable to verify in the content analysis of the two feminist platforms, the theoretical review validated the idea that online anti-feminist and hate clusters can be fought by online anti-feminist and anti-hate clusters with the same effectiveness in spreading messages as the former. And here, the networked PR must take the strategic and tactical leadership of the action. This work also proposes a model for the analysis of dialogical involvement in digital social networks based on the broader initial proposal of Lane and Kent (2018). The model we propose comprises six categories: 1) existence of comment(s), sharing(s) and / or emoji(s); 2) existence of comment(s) and answer(s); 3) existence of dialogue (with the five dialogical principles: mutuality, propinquity, empathy, risk and commitment; see in Kent, 2017).; 4) existence of freedom to choose the theme and the dialogical flow (when both parts – public and organization – are given freedom to choose the topic and flow of dialogue); 5) without agenda or manipulation (when there is no intention to put issues on the agenda, essentially, those that indicate manipulation); and 6) rhetorical (when a persuasion strategy is applied by both parts participating in the dialogue).

Aim. The presented study aims to describe the process of involving the target audience of nonprofit organizations in communication in social networks from the perspective of modern marketing goals.Tasks. The author conceptualizes the notions of “involvement” and “engagement” as mechanisms of marketing communications; determines the range of methods and tools used by non-profit organizations in their marketing practices to enhance the engagement of the target audience in communication in social networks; assesses the degree of engagement of the target audience of nonprofit organizations (NPOs) in social networks in the context of industry-specific features and the NPO’s location in order to analyze efforts aimed at involving the audience in communication in social networks through the example of non-profit organizations in the city of Perm.Methods. In modern marketing theory, the shift of the marketing paradigm towards continuous interaction between companies and customers at each stage of their contact with the organization appears imminent. It becomes necessary to maintain a certain level of customer engagement in communication as a cognitive and behavioral construct of the communication process. In this regard, the methodological basis of the study is determined by cognitive and behavioral approaches as key theoretical constructs in the representation of the phenomenon of involvement of the target audience in the communication process.Results. Marketing tools for involving the target audience of non-profit organizations in communication in social networks at each stage of the customer journey are identified; the degree of involvement of the target audience in communication with Perm’s socially oriented non-profit organizations (SO NPOs) in such social networks as VKontakte and Instagram is characterized from the perspective of consolidating the scientific view on the specifics of marketing goals for promoting organizations in the non-profit sector. The author substantiates the need for a systematic diagnosis of the conditions that determine the degree of the audience’s engagement in communication in social networks from the perspective of marketing goals for attracting public attention to the activities of civil institutions.Conclusions. The features of communication with the target audience on social network platforms in the marketing practice of promotion are identified with allowance for the industry-specific features of non-governmental non-profit organizations and their location. It is established that higher engagement of the target audience in communication in social networks is characterized by consistency in information placement; broad coverage of the community audience in a social network, which is estimated by the number of subscribers; posts being viewed by a great number of people, far exceeding the number of subscribers; many likes on community posts; presence of comments and reposts; a link from the social network to the official website of the SO NPO; attraction and use of user content in the community; horizontal connections within the community, networking.

Advertising and sponsorship in the area of sports continue to be a prominent way for companies to receive brand exposure to a desired target audience and obtain a brand association with a popular entity. The fundamental advantages of advertising and sponsorship in sports now combine with digital media to provide more extensive and unique opportunities for companies to promote their brands and potentially better connect with their customers. It is clear that digital media do not replace more traditional forms of sports advertising and sponsorship, but rather represent additional vehicles for promotional communication. This chapter begins by providing an explanation of the goals and advantageous characteristics of a sports sponsorship for a company. This review is necessary because developing an agreement with the sports property is required for sponsors to obtain exclusive rights to content (footage of that sport), and logos they could use on their product packaging or in their advertisements to better communicate a brand association. The chapter then offers four examples of companies using digital media to execute their sponsorships with sports properties: Sprite and the NBA, Verizon and the NFL, AT&T and the Masters Golf Tournament, and Wise Snack Foods and the Boston Red Sox and New York Mets. A fifth example looks at how sponsors are using another prominent media destination for the sports audience, ESPN. The chapter reveals the endless possibilities of what a sponsorship using digital media can include in the area of sports.

News organizations have adapted in various ways to a digital media environment dominated by algorithmic gatekeepers such as search engines and social networks. This article dissects a campaign to actively shape that environment led by professional fact-checking organizations. We trace the development of the Share the Facts “widget,” a device designed to give fact-checks greater purchase in algorithmically governed media networks by driving adoption of a new data standard called ClaimReview. We show how “structured journalism” gave journalists a language for the social and technical challenges involved, and how this infrastructural technology mediates between fact-checkers, audiences, and platform companies. We argue that this standard-setting initiative exhibits both promotional and disciplining facets, offering greater distribution and impact to journalists while also defining their work in specific ways. Crucially, in this case, this disciplining influence reflects internal professional-institutional agendas in an emerging subfield of journalism as much as the demands of platform companies.
