The article presents the outcomes of studying the transformation of audiovisual content in a new technological environment, which is one of the stages of the research project conducted by the Department of Television and Radio Broadcasting of the Journalism Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University. This stage held in July 2019 aims to identify the technological features of the work of the cultural and educational TV channel portals – “Russia K” (domestic channel) and ARTE (French-German channel). Both “Russia K” and ARTE are important media players that have been setting trends in their field for more than 10 years. The reason for comparing these channels was their thematic focus and a certain similarity of projects. The TV channel “Russia K” is the only non-for-profit channel dedicated to the cultural and educational topics in R SMAI, and ARTE TV channel is one of the most popular media specialized in this subject in Europe. During this stage the total amount of analyzed materials is 251 (145 publications on the “Russia K” and 106 on ARTE websites). The analysis of materials published on the Internet is based on following criteria: the number of materials, the nature of the content (broadcast / special), thematic and genre. The analysis of the amount of materials enables tracing the frequency of publication of new articles; data on the nature of the content helps to conclude which materials on the sites are more – on-air or special. Defining thematic and genre originality provides a complete picture of the content being posted. The author concludes that nowadays the Internet versions of the channels have their own faces but are inseparably bound with their television counterparts. The website of the TV channel “Russia K” is a vibrant media with recognizable style and creative presentation. However, in order to strengthen its position, the editors of the site should increase the number of copyright off-air materials and use new interactive genres (tests, quizzes, etc.).The site of the ARTE channel fits into the modern digital space while maintaining the classic presentation. Since most ARTE channel programs are timeless, they correlate very well with the consumer nature of the Internet and the need for educational content. Documentary films – the most common form of ARTE channel programs is in great demand by the audience in the digital environment that wants to quickly learn something important in a simple, vivid and understandable form. The difference between the on-air and non-air versions is largely exaggerated, because sites and channels do not compete with each other but are adjacent and complement each other. Websites enable access to the channel’s content anytime, anywhere, by selecting the desired program. Sites act not only as electronic repositories but also as individual units in the media world providing unique information.

The article summarizes the authors' experience in the organization of project training and its essential components (concept, tasks and characteristics). The authors consider the experience of teaching specialized journalism courses for foreign undergraduates of the Faculty of Journalism at Lomonosov Moscow State University. Following the results of several training projects and analysis of participants' profiles, the authors draw conclusions about the prospects of the project form of training journalists: it meets the demands of the media industry in terms of digitalization and ensures personal development. The development of project-based learning is evidence of a paradigm shift in teaching: from the culture of utility, functionality to the culture of dignity and integrative presence.

The article presents the results of a comparative content-analytical sociological study of city newspapers of thirteen million-strong cities in comparison to editions of six small and four medium-sized towns of Russia. The research, conducted by Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2013-2017, shows that thematic models of these city newspapers issued in different localities along with common features also have essential distinctions. In megalopolis newspapers, in general, the thematic field is very wide, though editorial offices do not pay equal attention to different subjects. Two thematic disproportions were found in the content of newspapers of million-strong cities. The media picture that prevails in their content is generally concentrated on the sphere of leisure and consumption, hardly mentioning productive, professional life of citizens. The second disproportion is connected with the fact that the main attention is paid to social problems of everyday life, the habitat, infrastructure of big cities, but not the person, persons inner world, values, morals, psychology, and relationship with other people. Media of million-strong cities rather work in line with a commercial paradigm. The research has shown that the smaller the town is, the closer newspapers are to requirements and problems which concern inhabitants, they try to light the most important spheres of their life and more evenly distribute the attention to different aspects of activity of the readers, including history, traditions, national crafts. Newspapers of the medium-sized and small towns reflect objective needs of citizens; help to solve specific problems, to keep traditions and basic values.

Abstract This article investigates the relationship between art and technology, pointing the constants of a process of cultural digestion which is mediated by the very sovereign technological environment – the Internet. Relying on the multiplicity and hybridization of the content formats, and also on the user involved interactivity as constructive vector-relationships, new media art and the internet art are natural consequences of the artistic practices of creative appropriation of contemporary technological media. As the complexity of the relationship between art and the technological environment becomes richer than ever, we assist to the creation of a contemporary ultra-technological culture, structurally dependent on the media and responsible for relativizing the critical positioning of the art consumer. Defining the premises of the interaction with a technologically interfaced world of art, the user (reader) of the Internet as a medium of expression is – equally – a consumer, and a producer of information (content).

The article is devoted to the analysis of the activities of Russian television channels on the YouTube site. This is one of the stages of a comprehensive study conducted by the Department of Television and Radio Broadcasting, Faculty of Journalism, Lomonosov Moscow State University to understand the processes of transformation of audiovisual content in digital space. At this stage, in 2019, July 27 Russian television channels were selected (including channels in Russian multiplexes), their YouTube accounts were analysed, in terms of the number of subscribers and added videos, as well as the most popular video data channels, the audiences reaction to them, monetisation, timing, etc. As a result of the preliminary stage of the study, it was found that on most channels there is a cheat of views and likes by bots, as a result of which the videos do not go to the YouTube trends section and do not become viral.

In our increasingly globalized world evolving technologies have developed new networks for connection, primarily through the internet. These allow for the instantaneous spread of information, but also provide greater influence to the media and marketed ideas. Along with these developed technologies and networks, so too have the relationships between countries evolved. Ireland and America have long been connected, with millions of Irish emigrating to America through the years, contributing to its development as a nation and producing today’s nearly forty million Irish-Americans. But what is the current relationship between the two countries and how connected to Ireland are generations removed Irish-Americans? My research uses film, at both levels of production and representation, as a case study for the contemporary hyphenation of Ireland and America into a hybrid space largely constructed for profit, and the problematic performance of identity within this space. Film makes a particularly useful case study for this ...

Aquifers in carbonate karst rocks are characterized by a known extreme heterogeneity of hydrogeological parameters both in the plan and in the section. This paper presents the results of the study of the distribution of permeability and capacity of the Podolsko-Machkovsky limestone aquifer in the scale of the first meters. On the basis of theoretical developments, supported by many years of field experimental research, it is shown that the main elements of the aquifer structure are thin permeable zones formed as a result of the karstification on the contacts of limestone layers of different lithological composition (bedrocks). The zones do not have measurable thickness and are characterized by individual transmissivities and specific capacities varying at distances of about a meter. The zones are separated by relatively low-permeability layers of unkarsted limestone. The methods of flowmetry in the static and dynamic variants, resistivimetry with details in determining the flow rate are used to identify the thin permeable zones. Layer and zone contacts are performed using electrical logging. Changes in the horizon transmissivity and the specific capacity of the zones in the cluster of 7 wells on an area of about 40 m2 with distances between adjacent wells of 3 m, was determined by cross-wells pumping tests with the recording of pressures and temperatures. All applied methods are modified to solve the presented problems. Even in such an area the neighboring wells show the difference of the aquifer conductivity almost one and a half times. Specific capacities of one thin zone vary by an order of magnitude. The asymmetry of the determined parameters at changing the roles of the experimental and observation wells has been revealed. The results allow us to take a new look at the problem of accuracy of the initial information for hydrogeological modeling — the studied area corresponds to the usual block of the model.

This article presents the results of the research in which the perception of the quality of journalistic texts by newsroom members of Russian all-news and news/talk radio stations were studied. Journalists are more critical (and sometimes even skeptical) in determining the quality of materials produced independently, while chief editors, on the contrary, consider their subordinates' media texts to be "good". Women journalists assess the quality of media texts produced much higher than their male counterparts. Employees aged above 40 are often more skeptical about the quality of their own texts than their younger colleagues. In the article we can see the difference of the media text perception between journalists that produced the content and their managers, gender and age differences of the respondents have also been taken into consideration. The authors of the article identified that the evaluations of media texts by various groups of journalists can sometimes be significantly different. As the conclusions of the research are debatable, the results of the study need verification. The results of this research are also placed against data of the other study, titled “Structure of the work of a Russian journalist” by researchers of the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University (A.Vyrkovsky, A.Vartanov, M.Galkina, A.Kolesnichenko, A.Obraztsova), carried out in 2014–2016. The research is based on a survey of correspondents and editors of socio-political printed and online media of the Russian Federation (the media of the federal level and those ones of million-plus cities).

Abstract: The development of science will trigger the development of technology. Conversely, the development of technology will also be able to improve the development of science. This development has altered the paradigm of the public to find and obtain information, which is no longer limited to information newspapers, audio and electronic, but also other sources of information and one of them is the internet network. Media has an important role in a learning process. Learning has changed from lecturing method to the use of the media in learning in order to increase the learner’s motivation, stimulate the learner to memorize what has been learnt, enable the learner to give feedback and encourage students to always pay attention to the material delivered. (Munadi, 2008: 9). One of the popular media now is the internet. This research was quantitative with Pre-Experimental design of One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population was all students in the first grade and second semester of Diploma IV Mataram of Nursing Department, while the sample was 148 respondents. The statistical test used was Paired T test. The result indicated that the difference of pre and post test knowledge of classical learning group was P = 0,00, P value <0,005 which mean there is a significant difference between pre test knowledge and post test in classical learning group. Keywords: Learning achievement; Internet.
