Efforts to improve the health status of the community are very important to achieve a better standard of living. One of the strategies to achieve public health status is to provide understanding, knowledge and awareness of the community to implement a clean and healthy lifestyle starting from oneself, family, school environment and the wider community. This activity aims to increase people's knowledge and understanding to have self-awareness and potential to maintain health through the introduction of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). The implementation method is carried out through : counseling on PHBS practices at the household level, PHBS counseling at the educational institution level, and proper hand washing practices for school students, community empowerment by keeping the environment clean. This activity involved the entire community of Barombong Village, Makassar City. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in the knowledge and understanding of households and elementary school students about PHBS, and all students have been able to wash their hands properly. ABSTRAK Upaya untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat menjadi hal yang sangat penting untuk mencapai taraf hidup yang lebih baik. Salah satu strategi untuk mencapai derajat kesehatan masyarakat adalah dengan memberikan pemahaman, pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat untuk menerapkan pola hidup bersih dan sehat yang dimulai dari diri sendiri, keluarga, lingkungan sekolah dan masyarakat luas. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat untuk memiliki kesadaran dan potensi diri untuk menjaga kesehatan melalui pengenalan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS). Metode pelaksanaan adalah dengan; penyuluhan tentang praktek PHBS di tingkat rumah tangga, penyuluhan tentang PHBS di tingkat institusi Pendidikan dan praktek cuci tangan yang benar pada murid sekolah, pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan kegiatan menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan seluruh masyarakat Kelurahan Barombong Kota Makassar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan ada peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman rumah tangga dan murid SD tentang PHBS dan seluruh murid telah mampu untuk mencuci tangan dengan benar.

Adolescence is an important life phase in which future patterns of adult health are established. Therefore, there is a need to understand the barriers and enhancers of adolescents’ health to better support their development. We explored adolescents’ perspectives on factors influencing their health behaviours using a qualitative descriptive approach. In-depth interviews were conducted with 22 junior high and high school students in Northern Alberta, who had participated in a 2015/16 Youth Health Survey. Thematic analyses revealed three themes: 1) knowledge, 2) contextual factors (home environment and school environment) and 3) individual factors (self-motivation and personal responsibility). Overall, the students were extensive in their description of healthy lifestyles, but their use of this knowledge was dependent on contextual and individual factors. They described the importance of the home and school environment in supporting healthy lifestyles, particularly by providing the right kind of knowledge and opportunities to cultivate and maintain a healthy lifestyle. They also identified self-motivation and personal responsibility as individual factors of influence on their health behaviours and practices. The students placed a great emphasis on personal responsibility for their health behaviours, despite the necessity of environmental and social supports for encouraging healthy lifestyles. School-based health promotion programs, which take a comprehensive health approach fosters a supportive environment for healthy lifestyle behaviours.

The development of information technologies, their availability for every family, the transition to distance learning could not but affect health status of schoolchildren. In the past year, amid the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the time that schoolchildren spend with gadgets has significantly increased. The relevance of this study is determined by the evaluation of the ever-increasing and, as a rule, negative impact of computer technologies on the health of schoolchildren. The study aimed to investigate the features of the effect information technologies have on the well-being of high school students and to analyze the role teachers play in popularization of healthy lifestyle and reduction of the degree of influence of information technologies on health of modern schoolchildren.

Background and Objective: High blood pressure has been known to be one of the problems that could develop as a result of exposure to noise. Consequently, those who are hearing impaired are thought to be immune to this. This study assessed the relationship between noise exposure and blood pressure. Methodology: This is a comparative prospective study involving participants (consisting of the hearing and the hearing impaired) drawn from a school environment that is situated close to a major highway and railway and evaluating the impact of noise on their blood pressure. Results: The study population consisted of 299 secondary school students. The noise sensitive group comprised 220 participants with normal hearing while the noise-insensitive group comprised 79 hearing impaired from the same school. More participants 6 (85.7%) from the noise insensitive group were found to have significantly higher blood pressure than their hearing counterparts 1 (14.3%). In addition, majority of the participants (63.1%) irrespective of their level of noise sensitivity were underweight. Conclusion: This study finds noise exposure alone not sufficient to bring about an increase in blood pressure of the studied population. This not withstanding we advocate for policy measures aimed at controlling the source of environmental noise around educational institution which will aid in reducing the adverse effects of noise on the school children. Community empowerment program in literacy aims to provide training and coachingin writing literary works for students. This activity is an effort to foster students'critical literacy skills, primarily through writing skills. Also, this activity is a way tobring schools and students closer to literature. The implementation method,Community Service, is carried out by providing training and mentoring on an ongoingbasis. The training is conducted for three days for students. This training is carriedout in two ways, namely in-class and outclass. In-class training is conducted toprovide students with the same understanding of writing literary works.Simultaneously, outclass training is conducted to hone students' sensitivity, criticalpower, and intuition to capture any existing problems around them to be used as amaterial in writing literary works. Likewise, with students' writing skills increasingand better, This is evidenced by the results of literary works that they make in theform of an anthology of poetry. The poems they made was varied in typography, theme,and contents. The students were enthusiastic and enthusiastic in participating in theactivity. The activities of fostering literary writing in schools can help students andschool parties better recognize literacy, especially in literary works' authorship. Onthe other hand, fostering the writing of literary works in schools can help teachersform the School Literacy Programme in their respective schools, bearing in mind isstill very important in the school environment, so there is a need for sweet activitiesto increase student competency and love in reading and writing.

AbstractCancer is one of the four major diseases in society. And can attack all walks of life without exception and without knowing social status, age or gender. Children, adolescents, and adults have not escaped this deadly attack. But from the data available most women are affected by cancer. Breast cancer still ranks first in new cases and cancer deaths, amounting to 43.3% and 12.9%. The highest cancer suffered by Indonesian women is breast cancer with an incidence of 26 per 100,000 women. One effort that can be done to prevent breast cancer is to implement a healthy lifestyle and breast self-awareness (BSE). This examination can detect breast cancer early and almost 85% of lumps in a woman's breast are found by the sufferers themselves. The Care for society program aims to improve adolescent reproductive health through BSE examination as a screening for disease. The implementation of BSE program assistance was carried out for high school students (Muhammadiyah I High School) in Pontianak. Presentation of Information to Teachers and School UKS Officers to periodically inform of BSE and provide direct assistance to students in conducting BSE examination. An increase in average knowledge after being given an explanation of breast cancer in students and skills in BSE examination after being given assistance. BSE Assistance by Health Workers and UKS Officers increases students' knowledge and awareness to conduct BSE examination in an effort to prevent breast cancer events.

Abstract   This research has been conducted on March to November 2016, the study population is students at state senior high school 5 and  state senior high school 8 cities Bogor. The research method uses sequential analysis explanatory research with the aim to determine the level of correlation between the variables of students' perceptions of the school environment cultured with student participation in environmental conservation and explore factors - factors that affect the level of student participation in environmental conservation. Based on the research and analysis of data, it can be concluded that there is a very low among school students' perceptions about the environment cultured with student participation in environmental conservation. The relationship shown by the regression equation Y = 111.08 + 0.074 X with a correlation coefficient rx = 0.042 and determination coefficient rx² = 0.002. The factors affecting the level of student participation in the preservation of the environment is a factor internal and eksternal. Internal factor is factor self-awareness, knowledge and motivation, eksternal factor is factor intercomunication, peers, family and community.   Keyword : perceptions of the school environment cultured, participation in environmental conservation   Abstrak   Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada Maret sampai November 2016, populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa- siswi di SMA Negeri 5 dan SMA Negeri 8 Kota Bogor. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis sequential explanatory dengan tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui tingkat korelasi antara variabel persepsi siswa tentang sekolah berbudaya lingkungan dengan partisipasi siswa dalam pelestarian lingkungan dan menggali factor – factor yang mempengaruhi tingkat partisipasi siswa dalam pelestarian lingkungan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang sangat rendah antara persepsi siswa tentang sekolah berbudaya lingkungan dengan partisipasi siswa dalam pelestarian lingkungan. Hubungan tersebut ditunjukan oleh persamaan regresi Ŷ = 111,08 + 0,074 X dengan koefisien korelasi rx = 0,042 dan koefisien determinasi rx² = 0,002. Adapun factor factor yang mempengaruhi tingkat partisipasi siswa dalam pelestarian lingkungan adalah  faktor interen dan eksteren. Faktor interen yaitu faktor kesadaran diri sendiri, pengetahuan dan motivasi, faktor eksteren yaitu faktor pergaulan, teman sebaya, keluarga dan masyarakat.   Kata Kunci : persepsi siswa tentang sekolah berbudaya lingkungan, partisipasi pelestarian lingkungan

The aim: To determine that nature of perception of an educational institution has on degree of risk as to development of bad habits in eating and daily routine. Materials and methods: We have conducted surveys among 1015 students of educational institutions, residing in a large industrial center through special questionnaire was developed by SI «ICAHC NAMS». According to answer to the question about their attitude towards school, schoolchildren have been divided into 6 groups. Results: Studying the health-shaping behavior of children has shown the greatest regularity of engagement in sports activities among students of the 1st group. Schoolchildren of the 4th group were characterized by the risk of development of obesity, due to the highest (among the other groups) level of consumption of chips, crackers, street food, sparkling water, against insufficient acquirement of key sources of protein and vitamins. The same groups also differed in self-esteem of their own health and perception of school environment. Conclusions: The most safe group as to development of obesity and other diseases has been the 1st group, students of which attended an educational institution with pleasure and had a high level of physical activity and had certain eating habits. Children of the 4th group with indifferent attitude towards any occupation should be included into the risk group. Outstanding remains the issue in-depth study of prevalence of healthy lifestyle skills and bad habits among various gender groups of adolescents.

Masa remaja merupakan masa pertumbuhan dan perkembangan, remaja putri yang paling banyak mengalami kekurangan zat-zat gizi terutama makanan yang mengandung zat besi tinggi dikarenakan telah memasuki masa menstruasi. Kelompok masyarakat yang rentan terhadap anemia adalah santri pondok pesantren karena masalah pola makan yang dapat mempengaruhi status gizi santriah tersebut. Prevalensi anemia sebesar 25,5%. Prevalensi anemia di Indonesia sebesar 21,7% proporsi pada perempuan sebesar 23,9% dan sisanya laki-laki. Kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan kesehatan santriwati dengan pemanfaat tanaman hidroponik mengandung zat besi tinggi sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam mengatasi penyakit anemia di Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Nurul Amin Jl. Kurnia Makmur RT.23 Kel. Harapan Baru Kec. Loa Janan Ilir Samarinda Seberang. Metode pemberdayaan masyarakat ini yaitu pelatihan kepada 21 orang santriwati kader Alarm Kesehatan dalam pembuatan tanaman hidroponik, perawatan hingga pengelolaan terkait hasil dari tanaman yang telah di tanam. Pelatihan penanaman hidroponik dengan sistem wick dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 November 2019 selanjutnya diimplementasikan kembali oleh kader Alarm Kesehatan kepada santriah dan selanjutnya untuk pengelolaan dan perawatan tanaman hidroponik dilaksanakan setiap harinya oleh para santriwati. Kader Alarm Kesehatan melakukan pemantauan santriwati dalam pemanfaatan tanaman hidroponik yang mengandung zat besi tinggi dengan memanfaatkan barang bekas berupa botol plastik ukuran 1600 ml.Kata Kunci: hidroponik; kader alarm kesehatan; pondok pesantren. Utilization of Hydroponic Plants with High Iron in Pondok Pesantren Nurul AminABSTRACTAdolescence is a period of growth and development, girl teenage who experience the most nutritional deficiencies that contain high iron because they have menstruation. Community groups that are prone to anemia are boarding school students because of eating patterns that can affect the nutritional status of these students. The prevalence of anemia is 25.5%. The prevalence of anemia in Indonesia is 21.7% the proportion in women is 23.9% and the rest are men. Community empowerment activities are carried out with the aim of improved the health status of students by utilizing hydroponic plants containing iron as an alternative in overcoming anemia in the Salafiyah Nurul Amin Islamic Boarding School Jl. Kurnia Makmur RT.23 Kel. Harapan Baru Kec. Loa Janan Ilir Samarinda Seberang. This community empowerment method is training for 21 cadre students. Health alarm in making hydroponic plants, treatment for management related to the results of plants that have been planted. The hydroponic planting training with the wick system was held on November 10, 2019 and then re-implemented by the Health Alarm cadre for students and the management and care of hydroponic plants carried out at any time by the students. Health Alarm Cadre provides students in the use of hydroponic plants that contain high substances by used containing 1600 ml plastic bottles.Keywords: hydroponics; health alarm cadres; islamic boarding schools.

The article considers the phenomenon of teacher's personal maturity as a key factor in the effectiveness of pedagogical activity. The purpose of our article is to substantiate the pedagogical skills of the teacher as a means of forming a healthy life. Generalization of various approaches gives the grounds to allocate some bipolar parameters which have great value in a context of pedagogical activity and characterize the level of a personal maturity or, accordingly, immaturity of the teacher. Based on the analysis of psychological and pedagogical approaches to the interpretation of the essence of personal development, we determine the following criteria of the teacher's personal maturity: self-determination, capacity for self-awareness, spontaneity, authenticity, readiness for emotionally close relationships, etc., as well as the adequacy of self-perception, flexibility, tolerance for contradictions, understanding of the relativity of things, positive self-image, inclination for creativity, existence of individual life philosophy and professional position. The humanization of the school and the organization of the educational process on the basis of a personal approach requires the teacher to have a high level of personal maturity, who can present him/herself to the students not as an impersonal functionary, professional, but as an original personality, who has his/her own position, which is open in expression, their feelings, emotions and views. Teaching such teachers requires the realization of a set of pedagogical conditions in the educational environment of higher education institutions, connected with ensuring the subjective position of students, intensifying their reflective processes, dialogue, problematization and personalization of pedagogical communication. The preparation of such teachers requires the realization in the educational space of a higher educational institution of a complex of pedagogical conditions connected with the maintenance of the subject position of students, activation of their reflexive processes, dialogical character, personification and complication of pedagogical interaction, Psychology of Technology and Social Psychology.
