Pontianak City has the potential for training and development of Malay cultural arts. The arts in West Kalimantan generally include dance, music, theater (folklore) and handicrafts. Special events in West Kalimantan will be the culmination of these arts and cultural performances, namely through festivals. This art can be used as a mainstay to face the ASEAN Economic Community. The final project of the Malay Art and Culture Hermitage of West Kalimantan aims to produce a special building design for Malay art and culture with the scope of cultural arts education, recreation, and tourism that can attract public interest. Design boundaries include the arts of music, dance, theater, crafts and cooking in West Kalimantan. The design method of the Malay Art and Culture Hermitage of West Kalimantan was carried out in several stages, namely ideas, data collection, identification, analysis, synthesis, and design development. The concept used in the design is based on the Facilities and Infrastructure Course and Training Institute Standards in 2017. Design analysis produces three functions, namely primary (education), secondary (administration, exhibition, performance) and tertiary (maintenance) functions. The result is that these three functions are combined in one into nine main buildings with a centralized organizational pattern of space, circular circulation, facades, and forms with Malay characteristics.

ABSTRAK  Perkembangan desain dan produk membuat terbentuknya berbagai variasi produk. Semakin banyak pula kebutuhan orang-orang akan produk yang sesuai dengan keinginannya. Produk yang diinginkan pastinya produk yang inovatif, sesuai kebutuhan, dan tidak lupa desain yang menarik. Fungsi dan desain produk selalu berdasarkan konsumen atau pengguna produk. Begitu pula meja tamu yang memiliki berbagai macam jenis. Meja tamu merupakan salah satu produk yang selalu ada diberbagai macam tempat. Baik di rumah, kantor, maupun sekolah. Dalam laporan tugas akhir yang berjudul “Desain Meja Tamu PT Buran Nusa Respati” ini di desain khusus untuk PT Buran Nusa Respati yang didesain khusus dengan kebutuhan penggunanya. Nantinya diharapkan produk ini dapat menjadi inspirasi sekaligus alternatif baru dalam pengembangan desain mebel khususnya bagian meja tamu dalam dunia industri mebel. Dengan metode perancangan yang sudah dilakukan diantaranya yaitu pengumpulan data, analisis, alternatif desain, pengembangan desain dari alternatif terpilih, serta desain akhir. Sehingga dihasilkanlah desain meja tamu untuk PT Buran Nusa Respati. Kata Kunci: Meja Tamu, Desain Mebel, Kantor   ABSTRACT  Development of design and product make form of various products. More needs of people for products that based on what they need. They absolutely need innovative product, based on needs, and not to mention an interesting design. Function and design of a product always based on consumer and user of product. Similarly, the coffee table has a variety of types. Coffee table is one of a product that always at any places. Such as house, office, even school. In this final project report that titled as “Design of Coffee Table for PT Buran Nusa Respati” is design specially for needs of the user. Later writer hoped this product can be an inspiration as well be a new alternative for development wood design especially for coffee table in wood industrial. With this design method that already done which are gathers data, analysis, alternatives design, design development from chosen alternative design, and final design. There have been many attempts by cultural actors to promote and preserve Malay Culture in West Kalimantan, but they still face obstacles that make everything hampered. As the interest of the next generation to study and preserve Malay Culture is decreasing, cultural promotion activities are modest, marketing of typical handicrafts that are difficult to market, and the Malay Culture community does not yet have a suitable place to work. Anticipating this, a forum is needed to preserve, demonstrate, maintain and develop West Kalimantan Malay Culture. The final project of the Malay Cultural Center aims to create a center for the preservation of Malay Culture in West Kalimantan. The design method of the West Kalimantan Malay Cultural Center was carried out in several stages, namely ideas, theoretical review, data collection, analysis, synthesis, pre-design, and design. The design concept of the Malay Cultural Center is based on the design elements of the Malay settlement area. The design analysis resulted in several building functions but broadly divided into three functions, namely primary function (performance building), secondary function (training building, art gallery building), and management function (management building, souvenir kiosk). Analysis of the formation of the pattern of the area is taken from the elements of the formation of the Malay area in general and is combined with the shape of the design location. The characteristics of the building follow the form of a West Kalimantan Malay settlement in the form of a typical building on stilts and a pyramid roof / saddle with space tailored to the needs of the user.

This article discusses the design of an arts building with an approach to the theme of local values. This design is carried out considering the importance of the existence of an art and culture in big cities to boost the local economy and also become an attraction for the tourism sector, as well as the desire of the community to enjoy the beauty of art, as well as the desire of artists to be witnessed and exhibit their works of art. The location that is used as a place for the art building must fill the city spatial planning, where the location of the building that I designed is on Jalan Tanjung Bunga is the central business district, where several supporting facilities such as public transportation, clean water, electricity, telephone network etc., this is the basis for my choosing a location on this flower promontory road. Efforts to increase the attractiveness of the Arts Building by combining traditional Makassar ethnic styles. So that visitors can also find out the typical regional ornaments through this art building. Paying attention to the harmony and balance of design elements in the Arts Building is expected to provide comfort to visitors and organizers of a show.

Arts and Culture is everything created humans evolved about how to live together in a group that contains elements of beauty (aesthetics) are down from generation to generation. Not unlike the other regions which have respective areas of art and culture - each. Likewise with Tobelo, which has a strong arts culture, which has a value - the value of cultural hereditary as well as in public life cherish in Tobelo. This study takes the subject of efforts to maintain the existence of cultural arts Tobelo.The purpose of this study is to identify and classify the arts and culture district Tobelo northern Halmahera, North Maluku Province. The results showed that the Cultural Arts Tobelo 'strong as the heritage of art and culture that is passed down from one generation to the next have got education of art and culture since childhood.Keywords: Arts and Culture, Tobelo

One of the districts with the largest population, densest population activities, and supporting economy is Sintang District, West Kalimantan Province with a population of 413,369 people in 2018. The increase in the population of Sintang Regency every year results in a high level of work activity and affects the desire to go to entertainment, recreation and tourism places. Many places can be visited in Sintang Regency, one of which is the Bukit Kelam tour. In today's technological era, the cinema building is one of the solutions for entertainment venues, where the audience can devote all their attentions and feelings to the living picture being witnessed. Therefore, the design of the Cinema Building located in Sintang Regency is a solution to provide a forum for the community to enjoy film shows and provide a modern building concept that is inseparable from the cultural elements in Sintang Regency. The concept of layout outside and inside the building is needed as an attraction to the Cinema Building. The theater building has the appeal of a dynamic building with a rectangular shape that follows the concept of a projector with the use of wood colors to make it look more elegant. In the building, the designer added Dayak and Malay ornaments which were elements of the Cinema Building Design concept so that it was not separated from cultural elements.

The article introduces the topic of this special issue on artists and professionalism from the perspective of the sociology of the arts and culture, in order to demonstrate how the contributions significantly develop studies of professions in general. Some theoretical concepts are defined and discussed: culture, arts, occupations, professions, status, field, symbolic and social capital, emotional labour, and reversed economy. An illustration is used to demonstrate pricing in arts and what may explain it. There is a focus on the field of art with a brief comparison to the academic field. <em>The design of Sarangan Lake resort done by the needs of tourist on its area, unfullfield of tourist needs on accommodation facilities, increasing number of uncare building towards negative impact to the environment, so the purpose from this design is to get a building design that could provide accommodation facilities to the tourist of Sarangan Lake, with the design that concern about environment. The design issue is how ecological architect can be applied into design of Sarangan Lake resort. Design method is using architectural design, started from initial idea, preliminary understanding of architecture about the planned object, research and problem formulation, literature study as substantial reference, data analysis and information, analysis of general and specific approach towards designed object and formulation of design concept, analysis of design concept approach which more specific about the to-be-designed object, and architectural design transformation and preliminary design as well. The result is a design concept of resort hotel facilities as lodging accommodations by applying the characteristic of the ecological architect to the building design.</em>

Children are the future successors of the nation who must be equipped with supporting knowledge and education. One of the factors that influence the development of children are children’s creativity. Creativity is important for children because creativity is useful as a human need to be creative, creativity allows children to express themselves and thoughts in solving problem and many more. Creativity activities in schools are limited, namely 4-5 hours due to strict curriculum (Kemendikbud, 2012). The facilities that support the development of children's creativity in Pontianak is quite limited. This condition shows that Pontianak needs facilities that support the development of children's creativity, namely the Child Creativity Center in Pontianak. The design method starts from identifying the problem by looking at the issues, data collecting consists of primary data and secondary data, and then the data is analyzed which produced pre design drawing. The emphasis on the design is child-friendly which includes aspects of safety, comfort, freedom and stimulates children's potential. This concept produces a mass building design with a circular shape that has been transformed. The use of the right colors, shapes, materials and dimensions is the core of the design of the Children's Creativity Center in Pontianak.

This research is a fundamental research that seeks to formulate an interior design method based on local culture and the industrial revolution 4.0 called 'Rachana Vidhi'. The research problem arises from the urgent need for the formulation of an ideal interior design method, which combines the development of local culture, the needs of the interior design industry and implements the spirit of the industrial revolution 4.0. The research method uses a qualitative document study approach specifically with the systematic review method, which is combined with the comparative method. The reseach results of the 'Rachana Vidhi' method have been discussed using the basic framework of the stages of the HDII professional organization as a synergy between academics and professional organizations. The method also balances knowledge and abilities between academics and practitioners with the 'research based design' paradigm. In the context of cultural development, the interior design method 'Rachana Vidhi' has been filled in at the ‘Predesain’ stage especially at step no. 15 Cultural Exploration, as part of the drafting of interior design concepts. Synergy with the industrial revolution 4.0 on the interior design method 'Rachana Vidhi' is applied to the stages of Input, Design, Conceptual Design and Design Development. Industrial revolution 4.0 application used is for insight searching, data collecting and modeling.
