Parking lot is a place where vehicle stop in an area or a building, where people perform various activities. The center of activity for people may form into several kinds; one of them is shopping center. Mobility level of goods and people in the shopping center, creating a heavy traffic movement in/out of area/building. The increased needs for parking spaces that are not followed by the availability of parking space in shopping center will potentially cause problems. The problems are: traffic congestion as the consequence of parking at public facilities (sidewalks and paving), accidents, the quality reduction of service roads, etc. Knowledge about “parking spaces” in the shopping center is needed by stakeholders as a reference to planning a good parking space for building/area. The purpose of this study is to investigate and explain the parking space at shopping center. The methods of this research is non-statistical and statistical analysis, used to analyze the characteristics of parking, patterns, road capacity and level of service. The research location is in the shopping center located at Jalan Tanjungpura Pontianak. The results of this study discover that the characteristic of parking lot in shopping center of Tanjungpura street are influenced by the activities pattern ofloading/unloading goods and the durations of cargo car parks, and the visitor’s shopping activities with passenger car. On-street parking will increase the road capacity by arrange it with 0° parking pattern. Shopping center with shopping street model attract more smaller vehicles movement if compared to department store model. On-street parking in shopping street has a better turnovers effectiveness rate rather than off-street parking in the department store

Kata kunci : tingkat pelayanan jalan, permasalahan parkir, persepsi masyarakat, manajemen parkirAbstract: The market is very synonymous with the center of the crowd, because the market is a trading center located in the city center which is often referred to as the Central Bussiness District (CBD). Because the market is a center of crowds that invites many people to come to the area, causing traffic congestion, due to uncontrolled traffic flow around the market. One of the traffic jams is due to uncontrolled parking, making parking conditions around the area increasingly chaotic. Aceh Market is one of the largest and most developed trade centers in the city of Banda Aceh. The increasing development of the Aceh Market area has made community movement activities increasingly increasing, which has caused a decline in the level of road services in the area, which is caused by vehicles that run slowly, parked, pedestrians and street vendors. Aceh Market has its parking facilities. Having provided parking space on the new Pasar Aceh (off-street parking) building it turns out that there are still many people who prefer on-street parking, while the parking lot on the Aceh Market building has not been fully filled, so traffic jams still occur and the chaos of traffic caused by many road users who use the road as a parking lot. The objectives of this study are: (1) evaluating road performance burdened by vehicles crossing the road in the Aceh Market area, (2) evaluating optimal parking space requirements to serve Aceh Market visitors and (3) identifying problems arising from -street parking based on people's perception. So it is expected that good parking management can be planned in the future. Keywords: level of road service, parking problems, public perception, parking management

Nowadays, smart parking guidance system is a crucial research for people’s convenience where the integrating concept of IoT that include hardware and software with the connection of internet for image or video processing technology is a powerful application which made up a complete smart parking system. The main objective of this research is to develop and analyze on a smart parking guidance system where current available system was compared to this new proposed system. Limited parking space has become serious issue since the number of Malaysia’s populations are using car keep increasing. Some of the big companies, shopping malls and other public facilities already deployed a smart parking system on their building. However, there are still a lot of buildings that do not own it because the system required a lot of investment, where the huge parking areas need higher cost to install sensors on each parking lot available and cameras are costly and lower in reliability. The proposed smart parking guidance system in this research was depending on a 360° camera that was modified on Raspberry Pi camera module and 360o lens that process with De-Warping techniques for the normal view rather than 360-degree view and Haar-Cascade classifier. The image and video processing was done by Open CV and python program to detect the available parking space and cloud firebase was used to update data where users can access the parking space availability by android mobile phone specifically at a closed parking space. A single 360°camera was replaced several sensors and cameras which were implemented on traditional parking guidance system. In the end of the paper, it is proved that prototype based smart parking is the convenient way to find the parking space availability.

The importance of vacant parking space detection systems is increasing dramatically as the avoidance of traffic congestion and the time-consuming process of searching an empty parking space is a crucial problem for drivers in urban centers. However, the existing parking space occupancy detection systems are either hardware expensive or not well-generalized for varying images captured from different camera views. As a solution, we take advantage of an affordable visual detection method that is made possible by the fact that camera monitoring is already available in the majority of parking areas. However, the current problem is a challenging vision task because of outdoor lighting variation, perspective distortion, occlusions, different camera viewpoints, and the changes due to the various seasons of the year. To overcome these obstacles, we propose an approach based on Dilated Convolutional Neural Network specifically designed for detecting parking space occupancy in a parking lot, given only an image of a single parking spot as input. To evaluate our method and allow its comparison with previous strategies, we trained and tested it on well-known publicly available datasets, PKLot and CNRPark + EXT. In these datasets, the parking lot images are already labeled, and therefore, we did not need to label them manually. The proposed method shows more reliability than prior works especially when we test it on a completely different subset of images. Considering that in previous studies the performance of the methods was compared with well-known architecture—AlexNet, which shows a highly promising achievement, we also assessed our model in comparison with AlexNet. Our investigations showed that, in comparison with previous approaches, for the task of classifying given parking spaces as vacant or occupied, the proposed approach is more robust, stable, and well-generalized for unseen images captured from completely different camera viewpoints, which has strong indications that it would generalize effectively to other parking lots.

The use of land as a trade and service area contributes greatly to the development of urban economic structures, including in the District of Kartasura. Especially Kartasura's market activity which is always developing because it is a place to fulfill primary needs. However, the existence of this market and also the trade and service activities around it are increasingly troubling due to irregularities and disrupting transportation activities around the market. Geographically, Kartasura Subdistrict is quite close to the Surakarta City area (around 10 Km), and Surakarta City has a very rapid and dense development intensity and has a limited development area, so the development of socio-economic activities tends to move towards the Kartasura Sub-District area.Close socio-economic relations with Surakarta City made Kartasura experience rapid development in the growth of new activities along the A. Yani road. Such as education, health, trade and services, industry and office activities. With the growth of new activities along the A Yani road, traffic jams often occur at peak hours. The congestion is due to the mixture between modes of transportation, trade, industry and offices. The purpose of this study is to identify the performance of the A Yani road, to determine the effect of land use on congestion that occurs. To achieve these objectives, the analysis used is quantitative calculations. By comparing the road conditions at peak and non peak hours on the A Yani road. The method used in this study is analyzing the volume of the road (V) A Yani experiencing congestion, analyzing side barriers, speed, road capacity (C) A Yani, and the level of road service (V / C) A Yani. In addition to the quantitative analysis also conduct qualitative analysis to clarify the quantitative analysis that has been done. So that what is a problem on Jalan A Yani can also be analyzed, what are the factors that cause congestion and finally show conclusions and recommendations of problems. Keywords: Land use, Traffic Congestion

In urban areas, the parking area was a problem that was quite complicated, especially in areas that become activities like industry centres, economy, tourism and others. In term of this, it was due to the fairly large urbanization which causes increasing population in urban areas. In addition, the level of private vehicle ownership was high enough so that it would directly add to the traffic flow. The problem that arose then was the traffic congestion caused by traffic flow exceeds the road capacity, the traffic processing system that is not good, nor because the road does not operate as it should. The one implication was the road not functioning properly was the parking of vehicles using the road (on-street parking). Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the park characteristics, in order to know the parking spaces capacity, as well as providing alternative solutions when capacity did not meet the parking space. This study was only conducted on the parking lot of the capacity market delinquent parking spaces as well as the park characteristics that included the accumulated parking, parking volume, parking average length, parking turnover rate, index parking of which was the object of this research was cars passenger and two-wheelers. In regarding this research could be used as input and consideration in determining or take wisdom in dealing with the parking problem in Pasar Badung (traditional market).
