Agriculture is the main occupation of the people. Further cultivation, public occupied themselves in weaving, tanning and metallurgy. Among the various occupations weaving is one of the second major occupations in India next to agriculture. A long tradition of excellence in its craftsmanship, Indian Handloom is said to have dated back to the ancient ages. 15th August 1947, noticeable turnings face for the country's handloom weavers. Weavers are the main population in India who suffer from major health problems such as respiratory problems, musculoskeletal disorders and chronic diseases like hypertension as well as disabilities such as everlasting ears hot failure due to revelation to sound. For the interventional study interview schedule was used and screened 90 subjects based on the health problems, subjects divided into 3 groups such as EM – 30, EMS-30 and CM-30. Functional food mixes prepared and formulated soya based health mixes and assessed the nutrient content of health mixes, and supplemented to the experimental groups. There is no supplementation for the control group. Then the impact was evaluated by using biochemical parameters. After the supplementation revealed, the soya based health mixes are reduced the risk of osteoporosis.

HEALTH EDUCATION — THE NEED TO MAKE IT WORK It is increasingly apparent that the major health problems in the world today — ranging from malnutrition and communicable diseases; many forms of mental ill-health and cardiac conditions; accidents and alcoholism, are primarily attributable to unsatisfactory living conditions, lack of knowledge and harmful practices on the part of individuals, families and communities. Advances in the field of science and technology can do no more towards the promotion of the health of the population unless it is accompanied by fundamental changes in the way of life and behaviour patterns of the people themselves.

BACKGROUND: The depression is a cross-cultural condition that occurs in all cultures and within all nations with certain specificities, even though there are some differences in its manifestation. The hereditary load is of major importance, but also the individual personality factors, in the form of risk factors, are associated with the occurrence of depression. Personality characteristics have a significant impact on the occurrence of the recurrent depressive disorder and the outcome of the treatment as well.AIM: To identify the specific personality traits in people with the recurrent depressive disorder and the impact of the affective state on them.METHODS: Three questionnaires were used: a general questionnaire, Beck's scale of depressive symptoms, and TCI-R (inventory for temperament and character).RESULTS: The most indicative differences in the dimensions are found in the Harm avoidance and the Self-direction dimensions, and most variable dimensions dependent on effective state are Novelty seeking and Reward dependence.CONCLUSION: The people with the recurrent depressive disorder have a different profile of personality traits (temperament and character) compared with the control group, and their characteristics depend on their current affective state.

The gut microbiota consists of a community of microorganisms that inhabit the large intestine. These microbes play important roles in maintaining gut barrier integrity, inflammation, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, immunity, and protection against pathogens. However, recent studies have shown that dysfunction in the gut microbiota composition can lead to the development of several diseases. Urolithin A has recently been approved as a functional food ingredient. In this study, we examined the potentials of urolithin A (Uro-A) and B (Uro-B) in improving metabolic functions and their impact on gut microbiota composition under a metabolically unchallenged state in normal rats. Male Wistar rats (n = 18) were randomly segregated into three groups, with Group 1 serving as the control group. Groups 2 and 3 were administered with 2.5 mg/kg Uro-A and Uro-B, respectively, for four weeks. Our results showed that both Uro-A and B improved liver and kidney functions without affecting body weight. Metagenomic analysis revealed that both Uro-A and B induced the growth of Akkermansia. However, Uro-A decreased species diversity and microbial richness and negatively impacted the composition of pathogenic microbes in normal rats. Taken together, this study showed the differential impacts of Uro-A and B on the gut microbiota composition in normal rats and would thus serve as a guide in the choice of these metabolites as a functional food ingredient or prebiotic.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the mental health of the people of Canada. Most have found it challenging to cope with social distancing, isolation, anxiety about infection, financial security and the future, and balancing demands of work and home life. For some, especially those who have had to face pre-existing challenges such as structural racism, poverty, and discrimination and those with prior mental health problems, the pandemic has been a major impact. The Policy Briefing Report focuses on the current situation, how the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated significant long-standing weaknesses in the mental health system and makes specific recommendations to meet these challenges to improve the well-being of the people of Canada. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a detrimental effect on mental health of people in Canada but the impact has been variable, impacting those facing pre-existing structural inequities hardest. Those living in poverty, and in some socially stratified groups facing greater economic and social disadvantage, such as some racialized and some Indigenous groups and those with preexisting mental health problems, have suffered the most. Some occupational groups have been more exposed to the virus and to psychological stress with the pandemic. The mental health care system was already overextended and under resourced. The pandemic has exacerbated the problems. The care system responded by a massive move to virtual care. The future challenge is for Canada to strengthen our knowledge base in mental health, to learn from the pandemic, and to provide all in Canada the support they need to fully participate in and contribute to Canada’s recovery from the pandemic.

e15659 Background: The incidence of cancer among the people of reproductive age is constantly increasing. Although FGF2/FGFR2 expression in the male reproductive tract has been reported, there is no evidence of the impact of FGFRs inhibitors on sperm function. Therefore, the objective of this large study was to determine the effects of alofanib, selective FGFR2 allosteric extracellular inhibitor on the regulation of sperm physiology using the rat and rabbit models. Methods: Two-hundred forty Sprague-Dawley rats and 30 Chinchilla white rabbits received alofanib (0–40.5 and 0–21.6 mg/kg/day, respectively) intravenously on a consecutive daily dosing schedule for six months. Eighty rats and 8 rabbits were in the control group. The subchronic study evaluated high doses (300 mg/kg/day) of alofanib for 2 months in 15 male rats. Necropsy was conducted following treatment/recovery periods, and histologic examinations were performed. Results: Animals were active. After injections of a dose equivalent to a human therapeutic dose during 6 months, most of the seminiferous tubules were empty, the elements of spermatogenesis were not classified, and altered primary spermatogonia and spermatocytes were distinguished in male rats. After injections of a five-fold dose, all seminiferous tubules were empty and expelled by a cylindrical epithelium. Very similar changes in sperm physiology were founded in rabbits. Most of the seminiferous tubules were blank, and some tubules contained eosinophilic amorphous masses. High doses of alofanib resulted in pronounced atrophy of the spermatogenic tubule epithelium. Multinucleated giant cells were observed in the lumen of a part of the tubules. There were no changes in untreated animals. Conclusions: FGFR2 inhibition led to the suppression of spermatogenesis. Male cancer patients should be informed of this potential adverse event before treatment with FGFR2 inhibitors.

The At Home / Chez Soi demonstration project was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of the Housing First model in 5 Canadian cities. Using a randomized controlled trial design, this study evaluates the impact of this project on the use of health services by people with severe and persistent mental health problems and a history of homelessness in the greater Moncton area. The sample comprised 193 homeless persons, 95 in the control group and 98 in the treatment group. The results show a significant difference between the 2 groups only in the number of days of hospitalization, particularly in the psychiatric unit. Factors associated with the use of health services by people who are homeless and who have severe mental health problems need to be further investigated.

<p>The final disposal site (TPA) is a place that is needed by an area, including TPA Talangagung in Malang district. the presence of a landfill in an area will bring many problems to the people who live around the landfill. One of the problems is the risk of health problems for the community around the landfill site. This study aims to determine whether there are significant risks to public health with the Talangagung Landfill. This type of research is a type of quantitative descriptive study. The population in this study is the people who live and work in TPA Talangagung Malang Regency. The instrument used in this study used a questionnaire distributed to the community around the landfill site. From this data, we analyze using quantitative descriptive analysis by collecting data obtained from the community, then describing the results of the data collected as-is using a percentage formula. From the results of our analysis of the questionnaire data, there is no significant effect between public health and the Talangagung Landfill. However, it does not rule out the possibility of diseases suffered by the community around the TPA. The majority of people experience health problems such as coughs, colds, and itching. These health problems cannot be ascertained due to the influence of the Talangagung Landfill. TPA Talangagung Malang Regency in its implementation is by procedures set by the government following the Act. So that the impact caused by Talanggung TPA has no odor and does not cause environmental damage. Suggestions that can be submitted to the Department of Health and related Institutions are to monitor developments in the landfill so that the landfill waste does not damage the environment, especially not to disturb the health of the surrounding community.</p><p><strong><em>Keywords: Health Disorders, Landfills</em></strong></p>

We studied the impact of diverse subtypes of learning disabilities (LD) on adult-age mental health, education, and employment by comparing the LD group ( n = 430) with a matched control group without a known history of LD ( n = 2,149). The clinical archived data were merged with lifelong register data on sickness allowances/disability pensions granted on the basis of psychiatric illnesses, reimbursements for psychoactive medication, having a degree after compulsory education, and having received unemployment allowances. Differences emerged between the LD and control groups in all outcomes, suggesting that a higher proportion of individuals with LD had mental health problems compared to the control group, and a notable share of them had not attained a degree after compulsory education and had been unemployed for an extended period. Subgroup comparisons indicated that math disability (MD) was associated with antidepressant use and unemployment, whereas the reading disability (RD) group showed the least problems with employment. Interactions between subgroup and gender suggested that MD (with/without RD) may pose a higher risk than RD for females, whereas RD seemed to pose a risk for males. The findings suggest the need for researchers, clinicians, and those involved with adult education to consider mental health and educational problems among individuals with LD.

Background & Objective: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is one of the extrahepatic manifestations of hepatitis C virus infection that greatly affects patients’ quality of life. Unfortunately, some of the drugs used for HCV treatment may have a negative impact on the patient’s erectile function such as the pegylated interferon. Currently, with the introduction of directacting antiviral drugs, there are scarce data in the literature about its potential impact on erectile function. In these settings, we aimed to assess the impact of sofosbuvir-based therapy on male erectile function. Methods: This prospective interventional study was carried out in Benha University hospitals between January 2019 and May 2020. The study included all consecutive HCV patients with simultaneous ED coming to the hepatology outpatient clinic. Patients were divided into a study group who received sofosbuvir-based therapy (group A) or a control group who received silymarin therapy (group B). The International Index of Erectile Function-5 (IIEF-5) was used for assessment of erectile function at different time points (pretreatment, 6 months, and 12 months after treatment). Different variables in both groups have been statistically analyzed. Results: Overall, 75 patients who received sofosbuvir-based therapy and a control group (n = 35) matched for age and pretreatment variables (Child–Turcotte–Pugh score and Fibrosis‐ 4 score). There was no significant difference between both groups in the pretreatment data. On the other hand, the posttreatment IIEF-5 was significantly higher in the sofosbuvir arm compared to the silymarin arm both at six months (p<0.001) and at 12 months (p<0.001). Furthermore, the age and the stage of liver fibrosis were negatively correlated with IIEF-5 at all-time points. Conclusion: The age and the stage of liver fibrosis are significantly correlated with the degree of ED. Furthermore, sofosbuvir-based therapy may be associated with significant improvement in the patients’ erectile function.
