Kata kunci: SIG, Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH), GeodatabaseABSTRACTBandung is one of the cities in Indonesia with the level of development and population growth quite rapidly. Consequently, the carrying capacity of the environment in Bandung is decrease. One of the activities that can be used to provide information in maintaining the ecological balance of Bandung is the inventory of the existence and availability of green open space through the geodatabase development of green open space. Provision of green space in an urban area has been regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works No. 05/PRT/M/2008, where the proportion of green open space should be provided in urban areas is a minimum of 30% of the total area of the city. Geodatabase development of green open space is done by integrating spatial data of green open spaces with information of green open space typology and data of photos/videos of green open space. Results from the geodatabase development showed that Bandung has 22.59% public green open space (3802.5 ha) and 3.45% private green open space (581.51 ha) which spread throughout the city of Bandung. Keywords: GIS, Green Open Space, Geodatabase

Agribusiness may potentially develop on Palu Riversides. This research aims to formulate a sustainable agricultural spatial innovation for the Development of Agribusiness Places on Palu Riversides. The methods used for this study were field observation, satellite image map observation, and literature review. The results showed that the implementation of sustainable agriculture through the development of agribusiness places in urban areas could take advantage of the open spaces designated as green open space zone on the Palu Riversides, namely the River Green Area which is outside the riparian zone, the river overflow runoff area. To achieve this objective, it requires ability to innovate in spatial planning so that an urban agricultural area that is neatly arranged into an agribusiness places can also be developed into one of the city landmark.

Rapid landuse change in an urban area is inevitable. Jakarta as the capital city of Indonesia is experiencing rapid landuse change. Jakarta is the centre of administration, economic activities, and entertainment pull people coming in to Jakarta. The dynamics of demography in Jakarta influences landuse change strongly. This research use three districts in Jakarta to see how landuse change over period of time. They are Penjaringan, Cengkareng, and Cakungsubdistrict. By combining landuse data, demographic features, and spatial data, such as satellite imagery, landuse change can be monitored and explained. The most significant landuse changes are industrial area and settlements. Both landuses are expanding. Meanwhile open spaces are decresing in size. This happens due to high demand of settlements caused by migrants coming in to work in industrial are. The result of this phenomenon is slum area in the city and lack of opened green spaces that can degrade environmental quality.

Kata kunci: kota Bandung, penduduk, areal terbangun, ruang terbuka, simbol kotaAbstractBandung is one of the important cities since the Dutch colonial period. Starting from a village, Bandung then developed along with its position as a center of government. Research on the development of Bandung city has been done, but the morphological aspects of the growth of Bandung city have not been studied in depth yet. How is the growth of Bandung city in 20th century in terms of morphological aspects of the city that includes demographic land area, city planning problems, built up area, and the symbol of the city? The method used in this reasearch is historical method that deals with four steps, namely heuristic, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results show that, first, morphologically there is a close relationship between population growth and the expansion of urban areas; second, along with population growth and the expansion of urban areas, the built up area becomes even more widespread; third, urban symbolism that includes pillar or monument, street name, city gates, and buildings show traits or characters of Bandung in accordance with zeitgeist. Keywords: city of Bandung, demography, built up Area, open space, urban symbolism

Bandung Regency is experiencing increased of air temperature, particularly in the urban area. High air temperature in urban areas is caused by increasing built-up areas and declining green open space. Green open space should be built to lower air temperature and to create a comfortable micro climate. Green open space should be developed at locations with high air temperature to reach its efficacy. This research used spatial analysis to generate air temperature distribution map. The map was used as the basis in developing green open space. The map showed that green open spaces should be developed at several sub-districts, namely Margahayu, Margaasih, Dayeuhkolot, Baleendah, Bojongsoang, Rancaekek, Cileunyi, Pameungpeuk, and Majalaya sub-districts.

In general, the presence of green open space as one element in the urban spatial is very weak and the potencial is reduced portion because they do not have a high economic value. One function of green open space is for micro-climate amelioration, making green open space as a lugs of the city for helping the formation of a cool and comfortable climate in the vicinity. This comfort is determined by the interdependence between the factors of air temperature, air humidity, light and wind movement. Vegetation can improve the quality of the local climate or reducing temperature named micro-climate amelioration function as well. This study aimed to evaluate and redesign the typology of green open space to create green resolution with conversion of carbon to compansate for changes in the landscape that occur as a result of ongoing development. The study was conducted in urban areas of West Papua Province with five cases were selected purposively. Refers to the Ministry of Public Work No. 5 of 2008 and some related references, the results of research (qualitative exploration research) showed that 3 of the 5 cases have not met the ideal typology of Green Open Spaces, while two other cases have met the ideal typology for ecological function, but remain in need of the final material. Redesigns of Green Open Spaces that has been generated from this study are expected to restore ecological functions with holding the ecologycal aspect as a priority matter to consider as well. Therefor those can be used by local goverments for planning repairs or improvements in the future.

Currently, the population growth is growing very rapidly resulting in rapid growth of the needs of settlements. The population growth that is not proportional to the availability of land and the income level of the lower middle class  resulted in the emergence of illegal settlements and slums and are on land that is inconsistent with the city spatial plan for example on the edge of the river. This condition causes the decreasing quality of life of the people, especially in urban areas, destroying the environment and the spatial arrangement of the city. Medan city is one of the cities that there are many slums. One of the slums in the city of Medan is Kampung Badur located in Hamdan Village Medan Maimun District. The condition of the slums and the low economic level and the location of Kampung Badur located in the city center became the main problem in this area. Therefore, a solution is needed to solve problems in the area by making Kampung Badur an area that provides decent occupancy for occupancy and facilities that could be enjoyed together. The solution to this problem is to re-arrange Kampung Badur and develop potentials in the area. For example, Kampung Badur area which is right on the edge of the river becomes a potential in the design. So that the solution that can be applied is to develop Kampung Badur into Mix-Use Waterfront with a mix-use concept such as residential, public facilities and public open space to be enjoyed by residents Kampung Badur itself and by the people of Medan City.

The provision of land to build green open spaces in urban areas as in the city of Yogyakarta is important considering that the increasing activities of urban communities will cause various environmental problems, such as an increase in vehicle smoke pollution, a decrease in the quality and quantity of groundwater, flooding, and so on. This study aims to determine how the implementation of land acquisition for the construction of public green open space in Yogyakarta City and the obstacles that arise in land acquisition for the construction of public green open space. This research is a type of empirical juridical research, which begins with understanding the legal rules or norms governing green open spaces in urban areas. Because of the limited land available to build this Public Urban Green Space, what the Yogyakarta City Government does is one of the ways to acquire land to build Public Urban Green Space is to buy people's land as allowed in the Land Acquisition Law and its implementing regulations.
