The higher education system of Russia, in comparison with its closest neighbors, demonstrates a high level of moral and technical backwardness of the educational process. In Russia, higher education institutions use outdated methods of implementing educational activities. The effectiveness of the development of modern society is ensured by the presence of high intellectual potential. That is why a lot of attention should be paid to the system of educational institutions, namely higher educational institutions. Higher educational institutions solve important issues of professional training of specialists, provide society with intellectual resources. The intellectualization of life, including economic life, determines the need for the development of education. Education provides those working in the economy with information, knowledge, skills, and intellectual capital, so the efficiency of higher education institutions is extremely important and impossible without a sufficient level of financial support.

The article raises the problem of search for new ways to develop musical pedagogical direction in modern conditions of higher education reformation. Based on his own experience and opinions of respected researchers, the author concludes about its crisis. Subsequent changes in higher education against the background of informatization and globalization can regarded as a series of formal procedures that regulate the relations of participants in the educational process, that is, as a process of formalization. The author considers the concept of “formalization”, shows the options for its use in modern science and practice, special attention is paid to issues of formalization in the field of humanitarian knowledge. Formalization as a way of knowing the surrounding reality and as mechanisms of perception and archiving social information has always existed. A striking example of this is the emergence and development of the art of music. Formalization occupies a special place in the culture of modern society, as it serves as a mechanism for limiting high information pressure. The general computerization observed today in society, as well as the tendency to create algorithms and technologies in all areas of knowledge, inevitably affect the organization system of the learning process in higher education institutions. As a result – the emergence of some formalized pedagogical systems, such as score-rating system of evaluation of the results of training of students. The musical pedagogical direction, which differs from all other areas of higher education primarily its focus on musical art, is most difficult to follow new trends. However, according to the author, it is precisely the understanding of what is happening, as well as a look at formalization from a position of creation that will help to find new opportunities for the development of musical and pedagogical education.

Background: Globalization processes directly affect the system of foreign language training in particular in non-linguistic higher education institutions and determine the need for its modernization. Such modernization requires both the theoretical and methodological substantiation of the strategic goal of foreign language training in Ukraine. We formulate this goal as formation of a polycultural professional linguistic personality, primarily, a secondary professional linguistic personality. Formation of the secondary linguistic personality is accompanied by acculturation i.e a person’s involvement in the secondary culture, its norms and traditions. Since acculturation is generally impossible without polylingualism, so raising the question of polylingualism in Ukrainian universities has become well-timed and expedient in the conditions of globalization and integration and determines the relevance of the article. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the feasibility of polylingual education in non-linguistic higher education institutions and outline the ways of its implementation. Results. The introduction of polylingualism provides freedom of choice since it enables such an organization of the learning process where the use of more than one foreign language for instruction will becomes possible. It will primarily promote the diversification of professionally oriented foreign language training of students that will result in provision of personalized learning, particularly in the field of foreign language training, as well as freedom to choose languages for mastering, and, therefore, a student’s autonomy, which is relevant to the whole system of our higher education. The introduction of polylingualism also prompts the introduction of a pan-European standardized level of foreign language proficiency, providing future language specialists with a foreign-language communicative competence recognized in a broad European format. The introduction of polylingual education implies the need for effective innovative methods, compulsory teaching of foreign languages by their native speakers, structural improvement of foreign language training, etc. Though polylingualism has become the matter of research in some contemporary studies, however the theoretical foundations and technologies of its teaching have not yet been developed in the domestic and foreign pedagogical literature. Discussion. The introduction of polylingualism into the educational process of non-linguistic higher educational institutions is considered as means that will give the students freedom to choose the language of instruction; will facilitate the diversification of professionally oriented foreign language training; will form polylinguistic competence, updating the level approach to language learning and requiring further development of theoretical and methodological principles and relevant innovative techniques.

The author reveals the necessity of introducing into the educational and professional programs of preparation of masters of non-pedagogical specialties of the discipline "Didactics of higher education". Formation of pedagogical competences of the teacher of the higher school will allow the future specialists professional activity in the institutions of higher education. The article reveals the essence of didactic competence and peculiarities of its formation in higher education students in the current conditions of organizing the initial process. The competency approach should permeate all aspects of student training. Therefore, a special (didactic) competence should be included in the list of the graduates' learning outcomes. The didactic competence is the ability to apply knowledge of psychology and pedagogy (didactics) in the educational process of higher education institutions. In the orientation of the educational and professional program of the master of non-pedagogical specialties it is necessary to enter competencies that allow him to engage in teaching activities. General competences add to the ability to carry out pedagogical activities using innovative educational technologies, and special competences add to the ability to organize the educational process and carry out scientific research in order to solve topical problems of the theory, methodology, organization and practice of higher education students. One of the most important compulsory (normative) disciplines that enable the future specialist to teach special and professional disciplines in higher education institutions should be "Didactic of Higher Education". This is the main feature of forming didactic competence in higher education institutions. But the competent approach in higher education does not come down to a separate discipline, but because the phenomenon of integral and dynamic develops in the process of formal, non-formal and informal education and is in constant development and self-development. All stages of preparation of the master of non-pedagogical specialties for teaching activity should be directed on achievement of the main purpose of the educational process — formation of pedagogical competences of applicants of higher education.

The article considers the main approaches to the problem of stress resistance of students in higher education institutions of Ukraine. It is determined that a number of scientists consider stress resistance as a property of the individual that determines its effective activity, and others as cognitively conditioned mechanisms for overcoming stress. It is noted that in psychological science there are other views on the stress resistance of the individual, but when studying the stress resistance of students in the educational process of higher education, it is advisable to use the above approaches. Studies suggest that most students have low levels of psychological stress, mental stress and medium, high levels of resilience. The main coping strategies of students’ behavior in stressful situations are “confrontational coping”, “avoidance”, “self-control” and “problem solving planning”.
