To assess the modern approach in determining the severity of harm to human health in acute intestinal infections, an analysis of the acts of the forensic medical examination of living persons who have suffered acute intestinal infections was carried out on the basis of the forensic medical examination bureau of the southern region for 2018–2019. The analysis showed that today, children are more susceptible to acute intestinal infections, and according to the standards for assessing the degree of harm to human health, the main factor is taken into account, the number of days spent on inpatient or outpatient treatment, regardless of the severity of the infection. In this case, no attention is paid to the long-term consequences of the infection, which, in turn, lead to chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and significantly reduce the quality of life. The findings indicate the need to develop criteria for assessing the severity of harm to health in acute intestinal infections. This will make it possible to systematize the approach and objectively assess the degree of harm caused to health.

Neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, constitute a major factor in long-term disability and are becoming more and more a serious concern in developed countries. As there are, at present, no effective therapies, early diagnosis along with avoidance of misdiagnosis seem to be critical in ensuring a good quality of life for patients. In this sense, the adoption of computer-aided-diagnosis tools can offer significant assistance to clinicians. In the present paper, we provide in the first place a comprehensive recording of medical examinations relevant to those disorders. Then, a review is conducted concerning the use of Machine Learning techniques in supporting diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases, with reference to at times used medical datasets. Special attention has been given to the field of Deep Learning. In addition to that, we communicate the launch of a newly created dataset for Parkinson’s disease, containing epidemiological, clinical and imaging data, which will be publicly available to researchers for benchmarking purposes. To assess the potential of the new dataset, an experimental study in Parkinson’s diagnosis is carried out, based on state-of-the-art Deep Neural Network architectures and yielding very promising accuracy results.

The study is devoted to the analysis of the efficiency of use and the effectiveness of disclosing the intellectual capital (IC) of a trading company operating in the market of the Russian Federation. The subject of the research is an assessment of the quality of disclosure of information about the IC company involved in the creation of financial results of activities and the growth of the company’s value. The study examines the assessment of IC and the search for links between the involvement of IC in the formation of the financial result of a trading company and the degree of its reflection in the company’s annual reports. Methods of using intellectual value-added coefficients (VAIC) such as the trademark logo (written as ™), Calculated Intangible Value (CIV) and content analysis of the company’s annual reports are used to assess the IC and its elements. The influence of IC and its components, on the financial results of a trading company are also investigated and calculated using various methods. It is shown that there are no statistically significant relationships between the assessments of IC and its elements obtained using financial ratios, and those obtained using content analysis. This indicates that the opinions and assessments of the heads of a trading company regarding IC are formed regardless of the size of IC involved in the formation of economic results and testifies to the absence of an effective investment management policy in the studied company. Some of the results obtained confirm the trends in IC structures previously observed for companies in other industries. The results also indicate that the existing system for preparing annual reports does not sufficiently consider the size, dynamics and efficiency of using the intangible assets of a trading company. The results of this study are likely to be useful to management and academics.

Based on official statistics on the number, of representatives of the family of non-ruminant cloven-hoofed animals (Artiodactyl) on the territory of the Russian Federation. Using the example of two species: domestic pigs and wild boars, the dynamics of the indicator for the long term is analyzed. Multidirectional trends were revealed for each species. Mathematical models of the dynamics of the livestock were obtained using the methods of regression analysis and applied software. Statistical estimates of the quality of animal population models were obtained. The short-term forecast for 2020 has been fulfilled.

The paper presents the results of long-term research on the infl uence of pinching of Northern ecotype soybeans (Okskaya variety) on yield, protein, and oil productivity in high latitudes (57°), a long day, a limited amount of active temperatures (1700…2000 °C) on sod – podzolic soils of the Non-Chernozem zone of the Russian Federation. The authors determine the prospects of using the method for varieties of an indeterminate type of growth. The pinching of crops was carried out three times: at the beginning of the fl owering phase, in the middle of the fl owering phase, and at the beginning of the bean formation phase. It was found that the pinching of crops carried out at the beginning of the bean formation phase, reduces the duration of the growing season by an average of 15 days. The technique ensures a more than double increase in the number of side shoots. The share of the coarse fraction of seeds was about 89%, the yield of seeds reached up to 2.00 t/ha, the protein content in seeds – up to 42.2%, fat – up to 19.1%, protein collection from the seed yield – up to 0.834 t/ha, essential amino acids in protein – up to 0.459 t/ha, fat – up to 0.380 t/ha, collection of unsaturated fatty acids – up to 0.228 t/ha. It is shown that the technique allows optimizing the ripening processes without reducing the productivity and quality of the crop, while the costs of pinching are paid off by reducing the costs of harvesting. The obtained data can be used to optimize soybean growing technologies at the northern border of the soy cultivation

The subject of research is the tax policy of the Russian Federation and its implementation during the reforms of 1992– 2017. The purpose of the work is to identify taxation problems and develop a concept for the long term modernization of the tax doctrine as well as ways for its practical implementation. The author analyzes results achieved in the course of reforms and also identifies unresolved problems. Based on the assessment of the state’s social and economic strategy and tax doctrine, it is concluded that due to the lack of a clearly formulated tax doctrine, the tax policy was inconsistent and unsystematic. The suggested concept of long-term modernization of the tax doctrine (till 2030) along with ways for its practical implementation would allow to solve the main welfare state task proclaimed in Art. 7 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation: to reach a distinctly superior level of social development characterized by the principles of social justice enshrined in law.

Growing global population has caused environment degradation through ecosystem impairment and over exploitation. Although, people have made great moves for improving life style, and enjoy a drastically improved quality of life but such improvements have been made at the cost of environment degradation. Climate change will force humans to adjust with changing environment and find ways to deal with short term protection and long term health consequences. The range of potential threats to human health caused by climate change is increasing and at the same time is not clear. So, owing to the potential magnitude and universality of such an issue, we have a moral obligation for developing proper tools and make informed choices that ultimately result in better lives for the humans.
