Community Training in Jatimas Semarang Through Ethnobotany-Based Conservation and Utilization of Lerak (Sapindus rarak DC.)

Lerak (Sapindus rarak DC) has many benefits, including washing soap, vegetable pesticides, foaming agents for toothpaste, essential ingredients for soap gels, and antibacterial agents. Along with the many uses, it must be balanced with conservation activities to maintain the sustainability of lerak resources. This study aims to determine the usefulness of lerak (Sapindus rarak DC) and generative conservation efforts of lerak in the Jatimas community, Mijen, Semarang. This community service-based research was conducted in January-February 2021 in Jatimas, Mijen, Semarang. The research method uses the ethnobotany approach, conservation, and literature study, which is equipped with interviews and direct observations. The results show that the community uses lerak as herbal soap, jewelry washing agent, and insecticide. Through this community service program, the community has carried out generative conservation of lerak through seeds.

Galur Subdistrict is an area that has abundant art and tradition potential and is in great demandby its people. Unfortunately, the art performances and traditions that are carried out only aim merelyto continue what have been done through generations. On the other hand, the inﬂux of modernarts has become a threat to preserving traditional culture, especially among young people who aresupposed to be the guardians of the traditions. Tis encourages Javanese Literature Study Programto carry out a community service program consisting of a series of training program as the StudyProgram’s concern and real action for cultural preservation.The training program is carried out through mentoring in motivating, counseling, education,discussion, and consultation. By using such mentoring techniques, it is expected that the result of theprogram will be optimum, namely raising public awareness to increase language literacy, knowledgeof literature, and the knowledge of the art performances they have. In turn, they will be able tomanage the performances as a professional art performance organizer in the region.The outcomes of the community service program comprise the increasing ability of participants inreading and writing simple texts using Javanese alphabet, participants’ ability to compose macapatsongs and sing them, the participants’ ability to write Javanese poems with the rinengga language,the participants’ ability create a series of dances and nursery rhymes to be performed, and theparticipants’ ability to become masters of ceremonies. The purpose of this study was to determine the environment and culture of Pekalongan City through the jlamprang batik motif as one of the icons of Pekalongan batik motif. The problem of this research is related to the causes of the emergence of jlamprang batik motifs in Pekalongan as well as the environment and culture that shape this culture. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method, beginning with a literature study, followed by in-depth interviews with craftsmen, batik makers, and observers of Pekalongan batik, as well as direct observations at the production site. The results showed that Pekalongan is a port city that allows multicultural trade to occur as well as a city that has a batik creative industry. The cultural environment of Pekalongan was shaped by Arab Muslim traders, among others, indicated by the jlamprang motif as a flower-shaped and brightly colored batik motif.

The concept of green campus is an integration concept in the Education research and community service system in environmental management. The objectives of thisstudy are: (1) To find out the results of studies in several universities in Indonesia, whether this concept has a good impact on the process of creating a sustainablecampus; (2) Knowing what obstacles are faced by the campus in applying the concept of green campus. This research method uses qualitative analysis with a literature study approach. Based on the results of the analysis on several campuses in Indonesia, it is known that the application of the green campus concept is very effective to be applied specially to manage the campus environment so that the creation of a sustainable campus. The most common obstacle is lack of knowledge about green campus and campus readiness to commit to protecting the environment. The need for the readiness of the campus management and students themselves on the importance of protecting the environment and creating a sustainable campus. Abstract The latest news about the celebrities can not only be obtained from television infotainment only, but also through gossip accounts in social media. One of them in Instagram account @ lambe_turah. This account is very profitable for business because it can be a media promotion of various products. But by revealing the privacy of people without thinking about the implications and reactions of society because it becomes a problem. Until here hegemony (power) as a social media seems to dominate this phenomenon. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to get an overview of the economic, social and political hegemony of social media on the @lambe_turahgossip account. This research method using literature study. The results conclude that the economic strength of @ lambe_turah can be seen from the messages distributed simultaneously, when and where it can be accepted by its followers consisting of various audiences’ class. With the number of millions followers, @lambe_turah enter the line of endorsement programs that generate economic benefits. Political hegemony @ lambe_turah can be seen freely they post any news about the celebrities either the positive or negative. This unlimited power has made @lambe_turah several times having problems with a number of artists especially if the news is negative. While the cultural hegemony in @ lambe_turah is symmetrically illustrated by the many postings that are like and commented on indicate that netizen's attention is very high. @lambe_turah also has a major influence in the formation of public opinion. Kangkong can be processed into various types of snacks, one of which is kangkong sticks. Sticks are a type of pastry that has a long flat shape, has a savory taste, and has a crunchy texture. Kangkong sticks are one form of innovation for processed kangkong products. Kangkong sticks were once produced in Dasan Tereng Village, but are no longer produced. Based on the results of interviews and observations conducted by the P1000WB Entrepreneurship Community Service Program (Creation of 1000 New Entrepreneurs), several problems have been found in the kangkong stick product. These problems include; unvaried taste, unattractive packaging, narrow marketing scope, and mass production system. KKN Kewirausahaan made various efforts to re-elevate, as well as develop kangkong stick products into superior products in Dasan Tereng Village. The efforts that have been made are: (1) Providing innovation in the form of flavor variants, (2) Improvement of product packaging using standing pouches, designing, and giving logos, (3) Doing digital marketing and changing the production system to a purchased order (PO) system. The method used is observation, short interview, and literature study. This gives tangible results in the form of product sales which are quite high, exceeding the sales target, from 40 packs to 110 packs in one week.

TikTok is an application that gives users access to create short videos with their creations and creativity. In the TikTok application, there are lots of content creators who create content - content ranging from positive content to negative content. The author focuses more on @BotakTikTok creator content because this creator's content is unique, namely having 3 TikTok accounts. The purpose of this study is to describe the reception of adolescents to the content of @BotakTikTok on social media. The research method used in this research is a qualitative approach with phenomenological research. Phenomenological research is used by the author because it allows to find out and understand about the meaning of content in social media (TikTok). The results of the data were obtained through direct interviews with 3 sources, direct observation and literature study. Observation is used by the author by making direct observations so that the author can find out how the subject sees the object under study. The result of this research is that the meaning received by adolescents in positive content is denotative meaning and the meaning that is received by adolescents in negative content is the connotative meaning and the reception of adolescents is included in the hegemonic - dominant position.TikTok merupakan aplikasi yang memberikan akses kepada penggunanya untuk membuat video berdurasi pendek dengan kreasi dan kreativitas yang dimiliki. Dalam aplikasi TikTok terdapat banyak sekali konten kreator yang membuat konten mulai dari konten positif hingga konten negatif. Penulis lebih memfokuskan kepada konten kreator @BotakTikTok karena konten kreator ini memiliki keunikan yaitu memiliki tiga akun TikTok. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan resepsi remaja terhadap konten @BotakTikTok dalam media sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan penelitian fenomenologi. Penelitian fenomenologi digunakan oleh penulis karena memungkinkan untuk mencari tahu dan memahami mengenai pemaknaan konten dalam media sosial (TikTok). Hasil data diperoleh melalui wawancara langsung dengan tiga narasumber, observasi langsung serta studi kepustakaan. Observasi digunakan oleh penulis dengan cara melakukan pengamatan langsung agar penulis bisa mengetahui cara pandang subjek terhadap objek yang diteliti. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah makna yang diterima remaja dalam konten positif merupakan makna denotatif dan makna yang diterima remaja dalam konten negatif merupakan makna konotatif serta resepsi remaja termasuk kedalam posisi hegemonik-dominan.

Abstract SDGs number 5 is a goal for women to increase their participation in the country’s economic development. There are many sectors where women can develop and have an impact on a country’s development. Among the many existing development sectors, agriculture is one of the sectors with the most contribution to Indonesia’s GDP. It is from the fact that Indonesia is a country that is rich in natural resources. However, there are still many Indonesian farmers, especially women, who live in poverty. Therefore, empowerment is an alternative to improve their standard of living. This study will examine the empowerment model among women farmers, at least in the agricultural sector in the area where they live. The research method used is a literature study. The results will show the pattern of empowerment formed among groups of women farmers in several regions in Indonesia. This pattern will explain how empowerment developed so that the participation of women farmers in economic development can increase in the future.
