The agricultural sector has an important role in supporting the Indonesian economy. But on the other hand, sometimes many community groups do not benefit due to problems that arise because the distribution chain of agricultural products are long enough, especially for farmers and consumers (end users). Of course the situation must be improved, so that the agricultural products of Indonesia can be enjoyed by consumers or farmers with proper. One of its efforts is by establishing an e-commerce based e-commerce system in agriculture. E-commerce based ecommerce system can be used as an alternative for farmers, used as a media campaign, communication and information and can cut the distribution chain of agricultural products marketing. The benefits felt by farmers and consumers directly and indirectly give a positive influence, especially from the broader marketing channels of agricultural products can increase production demand and spur the procurement of production among farmers and also the price offered to consumers will be cheaper so that sales in agricultural products can be more increased and profitable for farmers

The tremendous growth of Islamic banking has transformed a relatively new industry into a robust and widespread reality on the ground. Several Islamic financial institutions (IFIs) operate in different countries of the world and several Islamic modes of financing have been developed; however, most cater to the needs of commercial businesses, and personal finance. Few IFI products have been made available to support the agricultural sector. One rarely used product is Salam (a kind of sale in which farmers sell their product in advance, before the season’s harvest, to get funding for farming inputs as well as for their livelihood expenses), which, however, is of limited use due to a range of limitations. Hence, there remains a need for a product which is shari’a compliant and acceptable to IFIs as well as the end users, that is, the farmers.  This paper proposes an Islamic model suitable for entrepreneurs, farmers and IFIs. A mixed-methods research methodology is applied: while the study is mainly qualitative, a quantitative approach was applied to the data obtained through questionnaires. The general finding of this paper is that there is a need to have a shari’a-compliant financing model to be based on a participatory basis, in place of the debt-based modes which are currently in extensive use by IFIs. Therefore, I selected the Muzara’ah (sharecropping) concept as the basis of a model to help the agricultural economy and the Islamic banking industry. The reason for choosing the participatory over the debt-based mode is that the latter cannot bring about any real change, as I shall demonstrate from the particular perspective of Pakistan. Research into the demography of the Pakistani agricultural sector, on the other hand, demonstrates that the Muzara’ah model can be used anywhere in the world. The paper also aims to understand the effects on this sector of the use of financing by both commercial and Islamic banks, the strengths and weaknesses of financial intermediation, and the challenges faced by Islamic banks as concerns financing the agricultural sector. This research paper is divided into four sections. The first introduces and debates the position of agriculture in Pakistan; the ways in which commercial banks extend loans to this sector, and the socio-economic effects of such loans; and the different existing financing models being used for this sector and their respective drawbacks. The section also presents a brief discussion of Islamic banking and its advantages; different Islamic modes of financing; and how Islamic banks are supporting the agricultural sector in Pakistan. Furthermore, it argues that there is a global need for an alternative Islamic model to finance the agricultural sector, and that this need is particularly pressing in Pakistan. The second section discusses the Muzara’ah model, through an extensive review of the extant Islamic literature, encompassing, but not limited to, the definition of Muzara’ah, the Islamic basis for the practice and Islamic juristic views, as well as how Muzara’ah worked in a previous age. Moreover, this section discusses the similarities and differences in opinion among Islamic jurists (experts in Islamic law) about the validity of Muzara’ah. The focus of this section is on finding a consensus as to the most common and viable mode of Muzara’ah which is acceptable to a majority of jurists.The third section surveys agriculture in Pakistan, as well as the opinions and perspectives of farmers, bankers and other stakeholders to inform the proper development of an Islamic Muzara’ah sharecropping model. Practical research was carried out in Kohat, one of the cities of Pakistan, which is famous for its guava, wheat and maize production. A description of the fieldwork is also presented in this section.The fourth section draws on all the above information to develop a model based on the concept of Muzara’ah which can be feasibly implemented in the Islamic banking industry. Moreover, it presents a discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the model and provides suggestions and recommendations about how it should be rolled out. The needs of end users, such as farmers and growers, are addressed, and a discussion is presented of how the product better meets their needs than the other products which are currently available to them.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of internal factor with the earning management as a proxy, and eksternal factor with allowance for impairment of receivables as a proxy to the earning management. This study was a qualitative research with agricultural sector company as objects along 2012 to 2015. By using purposive sampling techiques intended that the data obtained more varied because it comes from varied sources. According to the results, it can be concluded that the internal factors of earning management with the other comprehensive income as a proxy had a positive influence on the prediction of bakruptcies in the agricultural sector and the external factors with external risk that described by premises allowance for impairment of receivables does not have an influence on the prediction of banrkruptcies in the agricultural sector in BEI.

Kegiatan kuliner sesungguhnya mampu menggerakkan hulu dan hiliragribisnis dalam bentuk produksi input kuliner yaitu bahan-bahan mentah hasil pertanian. Sektorkuliner juga menjadi kegiatan yang dilirik generasi muda sebagai pilihan usaha, namun masihbanyak entrepreneur yang memerlukan pencerahan untuk dapat berkembang. Antara lain dalam halakses ke konsumen melalui promosi dan secara khusus pemilihan media promosi. Pada saat inimedia sosial dipandang dapat mengefektifkan upaya promosi. Tujuan penelitian adalah untukmengetahui karakteristik konsumen di restoran elit dan menengah Kota Bandung, juga mengetahuidampak media sosial bagi penyedia jasa kuliner. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatifdengan teknik studi kasus dan analisis deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di beberapa lokasi restoranyang mewakili klaster elit dan menengah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa restoran klaster elitdinilai belum cukup intensif menggunakan saluran pemasaran berbasis media sosial, sedangkanrestoran menengah dinilai bahwa penggunaan media sosial tidak berpengaruh terhadap kondisirestoran saat ini. Konsumen dari kedua klaster restoran senang menginformasikan restoran melaluimedia sosial bila memiliki keunikan.Kata kunci: media sosial, kuliner, promosi, agribisnis, studi kasusABSTRACTSustainability of the agricultural sector is currently a major issue due to decline in its activities.Culinary is actually able to move upstream and downstream agribusiness, namely culinary rawmaterials from agricultural products. Particularly access toconsumers through promotions and specific opt for media campaign. At the time being social mediais seen for its superiority to further facilitate and streamline promotional efforts. This study aims tounderstand the characteristics of consumers in elite and medium-class restaurants in Bandung city,also knowing the impact of social media for culinary service providers. The results showed that theelite restaurant cluster was considered not sufficiently using social media as marketing mean, whilethe medium-class restaurants was regarded indifferent to its current condition despite using socialmedia. AbstrakFolklor yang menghasilkan tradisi lisan merupakan perwujudan budaya yang lahirdari pengalaman kelompok masyarakat. Salah satu bentuk tradisi lisan adalah ungkapan yangmengandung unsur budaya lokal dalam konstruksinya yang tidak dimiliki budaya lainnya.Ungkapan idiomatis memberikan warna pada bahasa melalui penggambaran mental. Dalambahasa Perancis, ungkapan dapat berupa locution dan expression. Perbedaan motif acuansuatu ungkapan dapat terlihat dari pengaruh budaya masyarakat pengguna bahasa. Sebuahleksem tidak selalu didefinisikan melalui unsur minimal, tidak juga melalui kata-kata,baik kata dasar atau kata kompleks, namun dapat melalui kata-kata beku yang maknanyatetap. Hubungan analogis dari makna tambahan yang ada pada suatu leksem muncul dariidentifikasi semem yang sama. Semem tersebut mengarah pada term yang diasosiasikan danyang diperkaya melalui konteks (dalam ungkapan berhubungan dengan konteks budaya).Kata kunci: folklor, ungkapan, struktur, makna idiomatis, kebudayaanAbstractFolklore which produces the oral tradition is a cultural manifestation born out theexperience of community groups. One form of the oral tradition is a phrase that containsthe elements of local culture in its construction that is not owned the other culture. Theidiomatic phrase gives the color to the language through the mental representation. InFrench, the expression can consist of locution and expression. The difference motivesreference of an expression can be seen from the influence of the cultural community thelanguage users. A lexeme is not always defined through a minimal element, nor throughwords, either basic or complex words, but can be through the frost words whose meaningsare fixed. The analogical connection of the additional meanings is on a lexeme arises fromthe identification of the same meaning. In the year before the accession to the European Union, the Slovak agricultural sector reported a loss of SKK 2.4 billion and following a profitable year, the earnings were reduced by SKK 2.8 billion. The situation was caused by a number of reasons, namely reduced sales of agricultural products, damage resulting from adverse weather effects (cold weather, hail, drought and  swine fever), as well as widening of the price gap compared to the year before (increasing input prices in agriculture and decreasing purchase prices of agricultural products, especially in livestock production). Legal entities and natural persons experienced mixed business success. While 51% of legal entities made profit, the figure rose to 76% in the group of natural persons. Both the agricultural cooperatives and trading companies performed with a loss. The loss per hectare of agricultural land (a.l.) was substantially lower in the case of business companies. Natural persons - private farmers were profitable over the period. The gap between the profitable and loss-making enterprises has widened. Some 60% of profitable enterprises owned by legal entities made only a small profit below SKK 0.5 million. The loss-making performance was typical for more productive areas of Slovakia. This was related to stronger effects of adverse climate in 2003.

The study aimed to reveal the competitiveness of the world dried sector for some selected products such as dried apples, prunes, apricots, figs, and grapes. In the study, the data was subjected to the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Relative Export Advantage (RXA), Relative Import Advantage (RMA), Relative Trade Advantage (RTA) and Relative Competitiveness (RC) indices. RCA is an index developed by Balassa to determine the competitiveness of a specific country for selected products or goods. To demonstrate the economic outlook for the world dried sector, the 2007 to 2017 data of China, USA, Chile, Germany, Iran, the Netherlands, South Africa, France, Uzbekistan, Argentina, Spain, Turkey, and India were compared, these countries dominating the sector of selected dried agricultural products. The results demonstrated that the world dried sector is very responsive to economic crises and to local currency rate. The RCA index was found to be 4.66 in 2007 for Turkey and it decreased to 4.45 by 2009 during the world economic crisis. The other breaking point was 2013 when Turkey experienced both economic and political crises.

Based in part on previous research reported in the marketing channels literature, an approach for measuring interfirm power is developed which centers on power's hypothesized sources. Within a dyadic channel relationship, the role performance of a firm in its primary channel responsibilities is seen to drive the level of the other firm's dependence in their relationship. This dependence, in turn, determines the former firm's level of power over the latter firm. Empirical results from a study in a franchise channel system are used to evaluate the reliability and construct validity of the proposed measures.

Today most foreign aid donors are genuinely committed to the idea that development in Third World countries should start with rural development. Therefore, a sizable proportion of their development funds are invested in rural projects. However, donors channel these funds through local governments (most often representing local bourgeois interests) that are not as committed to the principle of rural development. These governments are often also embarked in policies that are actually—directly or indirectly—expropriating the surpluses generated by agriculture and investing them in the other sectors of the economy. The peasants are therefore footing most of the bill of overall national development. This paper contends that, because of this state of affairs, foreign aid directed toward rural development is actually filling the investment gap left by an internal system of unequal returns to production in agriculture. In so doing, foreign aid is indirectly financing the development of the other sectors of the economy, even if this result is unintended. This perpetrates maldevelopment without redressing the basic exploitation process of peasants which lies at the core of underdevelopment. Evidence to support this hypothesis is presented using data from a primarily agricultural exporting country: the United Republic of Cameroon.

The present study aimed at evaluating differences in rotifer distribution in three estuarine zones in an inverse estuary located in the Semiarid Region of Brazil. Zones were chosen based on their proximity to the ocean and river border as a means of reflecting a horizontal salinity gradient. High freshwater discharge during the rainy season was the major determinant of rotifer composition. On the other hand, due to higher salinity values during the dry season, very low values of species richness and abundance were observed in all zones. Therefore, the study highlights the constraints of salinity and the positive influence of seasonality and river proximity on rotifer species in a semiarid estuarine environment.
