This study aims to reveal the beauty of the language style in the short story Lailatun Ghaba 'anha al-Qamar by najib al-Kilany through a stylistic perspective. Najib al-Kilany as a writer also has his own style that is interesting to know. This study uses a descriptive method of data analysis by deploying data collection techniques, namely observations and note-taking. The results of this study reveal several stylistic aspects contained in the short story, such as: a semantic aspect which includes the use of at-taraduf (synonym), a syntactic aspect which includes the function of at-taqdim wa at-ta'khir (prioritizing word position and ending it), and an imagery aspect which includes simile, hyperbole, metaphor, and synecdoche styles. Based on the study’s results, it is concluded that Najib al-Kilany emphasizes the imaginary side of a story, which leads the reader to being immersed in his work.

The use of satire language style by a film creator aims to convey meaning to the public. This study aims at analyzing the use of satire language styles used by Bu Tejo in a short film entitled "Tilik." This research used a qualitative descriptive method. The object of this research is satire utterances spoken by Bu Tejo in the film "Tilik." The data collection techniques in this study used observation, listening, and note-taking techniques. The results demonstrate three types of satire languages used by Bu Tejo in the film “Tilik": cynicism, irony, and sarcasm. It is also found that cynicism is the most spoken language than sarcasm. The study highlights that the use of satire language uttered by Bu Tejo aims to convey ideas and perspectives related to problems occurring in society and express dissatisfaction.

This study aims to gain an understanding of the comparison of language styles in a collection of End-of-Season Phrases by Adiska Nirmaya and a collection of Nafaskarya Fatimah Musawa poems. The method used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques in research using documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques with steps: data reduction, data display, and conclusion and verification. The results of the study show that there are comparisons of comparative language styles and opposing language styles. Comparative language style in the collection of End-of-Season Phrases by Adiska Nirmala amounts to 18 data and the language style of contention is 5 data, based on the language style that dominates the collection of Phrase Poems at the End of Season. Whereas the collection of Nafas poems by Fatimah Musawa, namely: Language style comparisons totaling 9 data. While the language style of contention is 11 data. Conclusions, a collection of End-of-Season Phrases by Adiska Nirmaya is more dominant in the style of comparison and the collection of Nafas poems by Fatima Musawa has a dominant style of language in opposition. This study aims to describe the style of language used by the novel Tanah Langit Merah and the Comet novel. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research data collection technique is the documentation technique. Data analysis techniques are used through data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study are: (1) Novel Comet contains a comparative language style of 109 citations, contrasting 39 quotations, linking 31 quotations, and repeating 10 quotations. (2) The novel Tanah Langit Merah contains comparative language styles, 97 parable parables, 117 metaphor quotations, 25 personification quotations, and 1 quote antithesis. (3) antagonism, hyperbole 74 citations, oxymoron 6 quotations, sarcasm 24 quotations, satire 15 quotations, paradox 10 quotations. (4) linkages, 8 excerpt metonemicals, 3 excerpts euphemisms, and 15 citation elepsis. (5) iteration, alliteration of 11 citations, anaphora 4 quotations, and efficiency of 2 quotations. Utomo’s novels are very related to the theme of religion and culture. The language used tends to be simple but still interesting and beautiful so research on the form and function of language style is very interesting. The purpose of this study is to describe the form and function of language style in the three Utomo novels. Data collection is done by heuristic techniques or read by repeatedly. Data analysis method used is hermeneutics. Almost all types of figurative language styles are found, but for the sake of effective exposure, only three data would be presented as examples of the form of language style and the function of language style. The three most found figurative languages are metaphor, simile, hyperbole, personification, and sinekdoke. The function of language also varies, starting from clarifying the picture, increasing the impression, shortening the narrative, and describing the character's feelings. Fulfillment of these functions with simple but beautiful forms of language style makes Utomo's novels have high aesthetic value and are easily understood by readers.

This study aims to describe the use of myth in the Banjar culture. Myth contains implicit communication purpose and meaning that can be known through the study of pragmatic study. The problems in this study are 1) how does the representation of Banjarese myth base on the form of communication? 2) how does the representation of Banjarese myth base on the communication function? The aims of this study are to describe 1) the representation of batiyanan myth in Banjar society base on the form of communication. 2) the representation of batiyanan myth in Banjar soiety base on the communication function. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. The data are taken from Banjarese speech in Kampung Jawa, Sekumpul, Martapura Regency. The data are taken from January 2017 to June 2017. Data collection techniques are note taking and interviewing. Data collection techniques are interview and documentation. This study uses three steps of work, they are (1) providing data; (2) data analyzing; and (3) presenting the results of the data analysis. This study uses pragmatic theory. The results conclude that 1) base on the form of communication, the representation of batiyanan myth in Banjar society consists of indirect speech with declarative structure in the form of directive speech and commisive; 2) base on the communication function , the representation of batiyanan myth in Banjar society consists of advice function happens if the speakers try to give advice, prohibition function happens if there is prohibition marker, satire function happens if the speaker intend to criticize the speech partner indirectly, and threats function happens if the speech has violation meaning and it cause something bad happen in the future.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap dan memaparkan nasionalisme dalam cerpen-cerpen majalah Panjebar Semangat dan kontribusi majalah Panjebar Semangat dalam perkembangan nasionalisme di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan perspektif nasionalisme menurut Ben Anderson dan Kahin dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah majalah Panjebar Semangat tahun 1937—1940 dan terbitan perdana tanggal 2 September 1933. Pengumpulan data dilakukan di kantor redaksi majalah Panjebar Semangat, di Surabaya dengan metode dokumentasi yang ditopang dengan teknik baca, simak, dan catat. Analisis data diawali dengan interpretasi nasionalisme dalam teks cerpen dilanjutkan dengan membahas majalah Panjebar Semangat sebagai penerbit dan media publikasinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa cerpen-cerpen majalah Panjebar Semangat menokohkan pemuda-pemuda harapan bangsa yang aktif dalam pergerakan dan senantiasa rela berkorban demi kemerdekaan dan kemuliaan bangsa. Majalah Panjebar Semangat membawa semangat nasionalisme pada mayoritas rubriknya. Nasionalisme dalam majalah Panjebar Semangat menggambarkan nasionalisme kultural dan nasionalisme politis. Kata kunci: nasionalisme, Panjebar Semangat, nasionalisme kultural, nasionalisme politis Abstract This research aims to reveal and describe nationalism in the short stories of Panjebar Semangat magazine and the Panjebar Semangat magazine contribution to the development of nasionalism in Indonesia. This research uses the perspective of nationalism according to Ben Anderson and Kahin by using sociology of literature approach. The data source of this research was Panjebar Semangat magazine in 1937–1940 and it rst issued on September 2nd 1933. Data collection was done at Panjebar Semangat editor’s of ce in Surabaya by using documentation method supported by reading, listening and note taking techniques. Data analysis was started with interpreting nationalism in the short story texts and then discussed about Panjebar Semangat magazine as the publisher and publishing media. The results showed that the short stories in Panjebar Semangat magazine decisived young people, the hope of nation who active in the movement and always willing to sacri ce for the independence and glory of the nation. Panjebar Semangat magazine brought the spirit of nationalism to the majority of its rubrics. Nationalism in the Panjebar Semangat magazine illustrated cultural nationalism and political nationalism.Keywords: nationalism, Panjebar Semangat, cultural nationalism, political nationalism

This study aims to determine the ṭibāq language style used in the book ʻUmdah al-Ahkām min Kalām Khair al-Anām and to analyze the types and forms of ṭibāq language style contained in it. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with observation and note-taking techniques in data collection. In analyzing the data used the method of agih with the basic technique of BUL (For Direct Elements). The data presentation used a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that in the book ʻUmdah al-Ahkām min Kalām Khair al-Anām there are 63 data with 61 hadith containing ṭibāq, of which 48 ṭibāq ījāb and 15 ṭibāq salab. Ṭibāq ījāb in the form of fiʻil with fiʻil has 19 data, isim with isim is 21, the combination of fiʻil and isim has 2 data, and harf with harf have 6 data. While the form of ṭibāq salab which consists of fiʻil with fiʻil has 11 data, isim with isim has 3 data, and the combination of fiʻil and isim has one data.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa dan citraan pada puisi “Engkau Salat dalam Hutan” dan puisi “Di Puncak Bukit Mangkoso” karya D. Zawawi Imron. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik pustaka dan catat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan identifikasi, interpretasi, analisis, dan pemberian kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa stilistika dalam puisi “Engkau Salat dalam Hutan” dan puisi “Di Puncak Bukit Mangkoso” memiliki keunikan yang khas D. Zawawi Imrom. Hal tersebut merupakan wujud karakteristik estetis individualisasi penyair. Kekhasan tersebut antara lain ditunjukkan dalam pemakaian gaya bahasa dan citraan. Penggunaan gaya bahasa dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan bahasa figuratif atau bahasa kiasan. Penggunaan gaya bahasa tersebut menyebabkan sajak menjadi menarik perhatian, menimbulkan kesegaran, hidup, dan terutama menimbulkan kejelasan gambaran angan. Adapun bahasa figuratif yang dimanfaatkan penyair dalam puisi tersebut adalah bahasa figuratif personifikasi, anafora, simile, klimaks, dan repitisi. Penggunaan citraan yang dimanfaatkan penyair dalam puisi “Engkau Salat dalam Hutan” dan puisi “Di Puncak Bukit Mangkoso” adalah citraan penglihatan (visual), citraan pendengaran (audiovisual), dan citraan gerak. Pemanfaatan citraan dalam puisi tersebut mampu menghidupkan imaji pembaca dalam merasakan apa yang dirasakan oleh penyair.The purpose of this study is to describe the style of language and imagery in the poetry poem "Engkau Salat dalam Hutan" and the poem "Di Puncak Bukit Mangkoso" by D. Zawawi Imron. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection is done by library and note techniques while data analysis is done by identifying, interpreting, analyzing, and providing conclusions. The results of the research and discussion are the stylistics in the poem "Engkau Salat dalam Hutan" and the poem "Di Puncak Bukit Mangkoso", has a unique D. Zawawi Imrom which is a form of aesthetic characteristics of the poet individualization. This particularity is shown among others in the use of language styles and images. The use of language style is done by utilizing figurative language or figurative language causing poetry to attract attention, give rise to freshness, life, and especially cause clarity of imaginary images. The figurative language used by the poet in the poetry is the figurative language of personification, anaphora, simile, climax, and repetition. The use of images used by poets in the poem "Engkau Salat dalam Hutan" and the poem "Di Puncak Bukit Mangkoso" are vision images (visual), hearing images (audiovisual), and motion images. The use of images in the poem is able to animate the reader's image in feeling what is felt by the poet.

This study aims to described the symbolic violence done by Otani and its mechanism on Dazai Osamu’s short story, Viyon No Tsuma. Close reading and note taking method was conducted to collect the data. Collected data such as  form of words, sentences, sentence fragments, paragraph, and paragraph fragments, were grouped in a table form and analyzed using analytic descriptive method. Data analysis results showed that (1) Otani’s habits are calm, even when he was drunk, and dress neatly. However, by the time flies, Otani changes to be rude and irresponsible man; (2) the fields existed in the short story are economic field and social field; (3) the highest capital is owned by Otani, it is a symbolic capital in the form of the nobility of Otani’s family; (4) All of symbolic violences are done by mechanism of eufemisation.

This study aims to describe the language style of the song lyrics composed by Rhoma Irama in response to the global Covid-19 pandemic, namely the lyrics of the song is "Virus Corona". The lyrics of this song are very popular because apart from being launched during a long pandemic, Rhoma Irama also often sings the song in search of funds to help people affected by this global pandemic. To describe the language style in the song lyrics, a stylistic approach is used, as an interdisciplinary linguistic approach used to analyze literary works. The data collection method used was a literature study with listening and note-taking. The data analysis used is a stylistic approach with reference to the model formulated by Rahmat Djoko Pradopo. The results of the analysis show that the language style that builds the lyrics of the song "Virus Corona" by Rhoma Irama cannot be separated independently based on the language style units because the discourse of the song lyrics is built by sound style, word style, and sentence-style which is coherent and sublime to build a complete discourse, namely the request for the protection of people to God so that they are free from the Covid-19 epidemic which frightens all mankind.
