This study aims to map the types of vegetables that are feasible to be developed in Lampung Province. The mapping will be analyzed using the Location Quotient (LQ) method which will produce commodities that are classified as either base or non-base commodities. The data used are secondary data on vegetable production in Lampung Province for six years (2013-2018) obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Lampung Province. The results showed that two types of vegetable plants became superior commodities, seen from the LQ value greater than 1, namely chilli and Chinese cabbage, with an LQ value of 1,26 for chilli and 1,17 for Chinese cabbage, respectively.

Karanganyar Regency has a strategic role in economic development in Indonesia, especially in the agricultural sector. This study aims to determine the potential for agribusiness development, especially vegetable commodities in Karanganyar Regency by using the Location Quotient (LQ) method. Mapping with the LQ method will produce commodities that are classified as basic or non-basic commodities that can contribute to the welfare of farmers, especially increasing income. The data used are secondary data about vegetable production in Karanganyar Regency in 2019 and primary data from interviews with farmers. The results showed that there were 6 vegetable commodities cultivated in 17 districts, namely onions, large chilies, potatoes, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, tomatoes and garlic. The highest LQ value is large chili, while the second to lowest is onions, potatoes, tomatoes and Chinese cabbage. The white yawl commodity has not become a base commodity because the LQ value is <1 in all districts in Karanganyar Regency.

The data used is secondary data in the 2015-2019 period. The data analysis method uses Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, Dynamic Location Question (DLQ), and SWOT analysis. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the commodity understudy is included in the base sector or non-base sector by using Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, Dynamic Location Question (DLQ), and its development strategy in Kerinci Regency using SWOT analysis. It was found that the commodities of shallots, chilies, potatoes, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes were included in the base commodities using the LQ method. In contrast, with the DLQ method, all the commodities studied would be the basis in the future.

This study aims to analyze the leading sectors in the economy in Batanghari Regency. This study uses secondary data for the period 2011-2017, sourced from the Central Statistics Agency of Jambi Province and Batanghari Regency. The analysis tools used are Location Quotient (LQ) analysis and Shift Share analysis. The results of the study found that the leading sectors in Batanghari Regency are the manufacturing industry sector, the government administration sector, defense, compulsory social security, and the education service sector. The agricultural sector in Tabanan Regency not only plays a role in food security, but also contributes significantly to sources of income. During the last five years the agricultural sector in Tabanan Regency has also contributed significantly to the GRDP of Tabanan Regency. The purpose of this study is to identify the superior potential of the agricultural sector in Tabanan Regency and to identify the competitiveness of the agricultural sector in Tabanan Regency. This study uses secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Tabanan Regency and Bali Province. There are two analyzes used in this study, namely Location Quotient (LQ) analysis and Shift Share analysis. The results of research using Location Quotient (LQ) analysis show that the agricultural sector is included in the category of leading sectors in Tabanan Regency. This is indicated by the Location Quotient (LQ) value that is greater than one. While the results of the study using Shift Share analysis show that the agricultural sector in Tabanan Regency is included in the category of sectors that have fast competitiveness compared to reference areas, this is because the value of Differential Shift shows a positive value.

This research is conducted  in order to analyze the contribution of the agricultural sector toward the economy of North Bolaang Mongondow Regency in the period of 8 years, 2010 to 2017, and also in order to identify the agricultural sector and sub-sector is the base sector in North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This research was conducted for three months started from December 2019 to January 2020 at the Central Statistics Agency of North Bolaang Mongondow Regency and the Central Statistics Agency of North Sulawesi Province. The data used are secondary data. Where secondary data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of North Bolaang Mongondow Regency and the Central Statistics Agency of North Sulawesi Province. The data analysis used is the contribution formula, Location Quotient analysis and Dynamic Location Quotient method. The results of this study indicates that the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors are the largest contributors or major contributors to the economy of North Bolaang Mongondow Regency from 2010 to 2017. Based on the result analysisof the Location Quotient it can be seen that the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors are the basic sectors in North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. It means, this sector is able to fulfill the necessity for their own  region and it  is  also possible to do  exporting  to  outside  of  region. Furthermore, the sub-sector which is the base sector in North Bolaang Mongondow Regency is the forestry sub-sector. The crop subsector and the annual horticultural  subsector contained in the agriculture, livestock and agricultural services sub-sector are also the base sectors in North Bolaang Mongondow  Regency.

<em>The agricultural sector</em><em> is a strategic sector in Manokwari regency. The agricultural sector provides a major contribution in the regional economy, an economic base of rural people, dominate the life of most residents in this region and provider of food and raw materials for other sectors. The purpose of this study was to determine how big the contribution of different sub-sectors that exist in the agricultural sector, which analyzes sectors influential in changing the economic structure of agriculture in the area and know the potential commodities that can be developed in an effort to enhance the role of the agricultural sector. The research method used through literature study and analysis of secondary data sourced from the relevant authorities. To find out how big the factors that influence changes in economic structures of domination of the agricultural sector into non-agricultural sector estimates used Ordinary Least Square (OLS). For the determination of the potential commodities that can be seeded used method approach Location Quotient (LQ). The results showed the greatest contribution of the different sub-sectors within the agricultural sector contained in the food crops sub-sector. Based on the rate of growth per year, plantation crops sub-sector occupied the highest positions. The sectors that provide real impact on the agricultural sector's contribution to the regional gross domestic product �of the building sector and services sector. Potential commodities that can be developed in different areas in Manokwari regency include food crops and pulses, vegetables and fruits and livestock including cows, goats, pigs and chicken.</em>

  Bali is an island where tourism plays a dominant role in its economy, so its potential needs to be further developed. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of tourist visits, number of hotels, and hotel occupancy rates on total employment and welfare of the people in Bali. The data used is secondary data published by Bali Provincial Tourism Office and the Bali Province Central Statistics Agency from 2000-2019. The analysis technique used is path analysis. The results showed that the number of tourist visits has a positive and significant effect on total employment, the number of hotels has a negative and insignificant effect on total employment, while the hotel occupancy rate has a positive and insignificant effect on total employment. In addition, the number of tourist visits has a negative and insignificant effect on welfare, the number of hotels and the total employment have a positive and significant effect on welfare, while the hotel occupancy rate has a negative and significant effect on the welfare of the community.  Labor absorption is not a mediating variable between tourist visits and occupancy rate on welfare.

Agricultural  development  program  in  Indonesia  is  the  part  of  economic development.  Papua  Province  in  the  economic  sector,  the  agriculture  sector  is  the very important role in supporting economic growth in the region.This study aims to analyze  the  basic  sector  and  basic  sub-sector  of  agriculture,  analyze  the  position sector  and  the  agriculture  sector  in  the  future,  and  the  determinants  of  changes  in positions on regional economic growth based on the calculation of the GDP Keerom district  and  Papua  province  in  2008-2011.The  study  used  secondary  data  over  a period of four years. The analysis  method used is Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location  Quotient  (DLQ),  and  Total  Shift  Share  (TSS).  The  analysis  LQ  show  that agriculture  sector  is  the  basic  sector  in  the  economy  Keerom.While  the  agriculture sector  as  the  sub-sector  basis  (leading  sector) is plantation,  animal  husbandry,  and forestry.The combined method of LQ and DLQ, show that agriculture sector is still the sector basis in the future.The results of the analysis TSS is known that the deciding factor  position  change  on  plantations  and  fishing  sub-sector  is  the  location  factor, while the determining factor position change on the livestock sector is the factor of of economic structure.

The  aim  of this study is to analyze the index Location Quotient  of  ginger, kencur,  turmeric  and  galangal;  to  analyze  the  value  of  the  growth  component  of ginger, kencur, turmeric and galangal; to analyze the types of medicinal plants is a priority for development in Central Java. This research uses descriptive method with secondary data sources coming from the  Badan Pusat Statistik. In this study analyzed the  competitiveness  of  the  four  regions,  namely  medicinal  plant  ginger,  kencur, turmeric and galangal. The results showed Ginger has LQ &lt;1 while kencur, turmeric and  galangal  has  LQ&gt;  1.  Ginger  has  a  value  component  of  positive  growth  while kencur,  turmeric  and  galangal  has  a  negative  value.  Ginger  has  a  value  of  share growth  component  negative  territory  while  kencur,  turmeric  and  galangal  has  a positive  value.  Kencur,  turmeric  and  galangal  is  a  commodity  that  is  becoming  a priority for development in Central Java Province.

The agricultural sector in the highlands of North Sumatra is the main sector of economic support for the people in the area. Although some sub-sectors have not shown significant improvement in the economy. For this reason, researchers are interested in analyzing each basic or superior sub-sector, so that policies can be taken to solve existing problems. The purpose of this study was to analyze the superior commodities of the upland agricultural sector in North Sumatra. The data used in the secondary data is obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2019 covering the food crop sub-sector, the vegetable and fruit horticulture sub-sector, the livestock sub-sector, the plantation sub-sector. To answer the research questions, LQ analysis is used to determine superior commodities. The results showed that the food crop sub-sector in the highlands was a superior commodity with LQ = 1.62. The vegetable and fruit horticultural sub-sector is included in the basic or superior category with each value (1.13), (1.80). The plantation sub-sector has the greatest LQ value with an LQ value of 2.90. So it can be concluded that upland agricultural commodities in North Sumatra are generally the base agricultural sector.
