Abstrak  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pemimpin di pondok pesantren As’ad Kota Jambi dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja guru. Target penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui: 1). Peran pemimpin dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja guru, 2). Kendala pimpinan dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja guru, dan bagaimana cara mengatasinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, yakni menguraikan temuan penelitian secara naratif dan apa adanya. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan teknik obervasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Mengecek validitas data dilakukan dengan ketekunan pengamatan, triangulasi, member check, dan audit trail. Alisis data dilakukan dengan penelaahan dan reduksi data, unitisasi data, kategorisasi data, dan interpretasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; pertama, peran pimpinan dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja guru adalah meliputi pemberikan reward dan punishment, ajakan kepada guru untuk bekerja secara ikhlas, peningkatan fasilitas kerja, serta menjaga kedekatan dengan para guru. Kedua, kendala pimpinan dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja guru meliputi; 1) kekurangan dana, diatasi dengan memberikan pemahaman kepada para guru agar sama-sama memaklumi akan keterbatasan keuangan, dan berupaya memenuhi kebutuhan-kebutuhan pokok yang terjangkau dengan keuangan yang ada. 2) Keberagaman keinginan para guru, diatasi dengan memenuhi kebutuhan yang terjangkau saja, dengan harapan para guru bisa menerima keadaan yang ada. Kata Kunci: Pemimpin; Motivasi Kerja Guru; Pondok Pesantren. Abstrak This study aims to determine the role of leaders in Islamic boarding schools As'ad Jambi City in increasing teacher work motivation. The research target is to find out: 1). The role of leaders in increasing teacher work motivation, 2). Leadership constraints in increasing teacher work motivation, and how to overcome them. The method used is a qualitative method, which describes the research findings in a narrative and straightforward manner. Data collection was carried out by observation, documentation, and interview techniques. Checking the validity of the data is done by observing persistence, triangulation, member checks, and audit trail. Data analysis was carried out by analyzing and reducing data, unitizing data, categorizing data, and interpreting data. The results showed that; First, the role of leaders in increasing teacher work motivation includes giving rewards and punishments, inviting teachers to work sincerely, improving work facilities, and maintaining closeness to teachers. Second, the constraints of the leadership in increasing teacher work motivation include; 1) lack of funds, is overcome by providing an understanding to teachers so that they are equally understanding of financial limitations, and strive to meet basic needs that are affordable with existing finances. 2) The diversity of the wishes of the teachers, is overcome by meeting only affordable needs, in the hope that the teachers can accept the existing situation. Keywords: Leader; Teacher Work Motivation; Islamic boarding school.

The leadership of the kiai becomes very important in Islamic boarding school because the development of the quality of pesantren education depends on the competence of the leader, the meaning of the leader here is the kiai or caretaker of the boarding school. This study aims to describe the first role of leadership in improving the quality of education, secondly the leadership of kiai that is effective in improving the quality of education in Islamic boarding schools.This research uses a qualitative method, with a case study in Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic Boarding School in Malang. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation, and documentation and observation techniques. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative methods and inductive thinking patterns. The purpose is to analyze the data obtained from field objects, and then to be related to relevant theories.The results showed: 1) The role of the kiai in improving quality in the Bahrul Maghfiroh Islamic boarding school in Malang is as a manager, educator, human resource empowerment, decision maker, attainee of the pesantren, motivator and supervisor. 2) Effective kiai leadership is leadership that builds cooperation with kiai or other institutions, regenerates kiai and builds good relations with the community.

AbstractThis study aims to determine the role of the performance of Islamic Education supervisors in improving the pedagogical competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers in Resort I State Elementary School Pelawan District. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method, in which the researcher describes the research findings in a narrative and as-is. Data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, and interview techniques. To check the validity of the data, the author performs perseverance observation, triangulation, member check, audit trail. And to analyze the data the authors conduct data review and reduction, data unitization, data categorization, and data interpretation. The results showed that the role of the school supervisor's performance in improving the pedagogical competence of PAI teachers in Resort I State Elementary School Pelawan District was: 1. Carry out Teacher Subject Deliberation activities. 2. Provide positive input to PAI teachers. 3. Check the administrative completeness of the teacher. 4. Provide enlightenment on the development of the world of learning to teachers. Keywords: Supervisory; Performance; Teacher Competence.  Abstrak Tujuan daripada kegiatan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran kinerja pengawas dalam upaya peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik guru Pendidikan Agama Islam di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Resort I Kecamatan Pelawan. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, yakni temuan penelitian diuraikan secara naratif dan apa adanya. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik obervasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Pengecekan validitas data melalui ketekunan pengamatan, triangulasi, member check, audit trail. Penganalisisan data menggunakan penelaahan dan reduksi data, unitisasi data, kategorisasi data, dan interpretasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran kinerja pengawas sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru Pendidikan Agma Islam (PAI) di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Resort I Kecamatan Pelawan adalah: 1. Melaksanakan kegiatan Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). 2. Memberikan masukan yang positif kepada para guru Pendidikan Agma Islam (PAI). 3. Memeriksa kelengkapan administrasi guru. 4. Memberikan pencerahan mengenai perkembangan dunia pembelajaran kepada para guru.   Kata Kunci: Kinerja; Pengawas; Kompetensi Guru.

The Role of Tourism Office Batu City and Punten Village Government in tourism empowerment is very influential to the progress of Apple Picking Tour which is located in Punten Village, Batu City. This research aims to describe the role of Culture and Tourism Office also The Village Government in manifestation and implementation the mechanism of the tourism maximally. The research uses qualitative method with data collection techniques through interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis is done in several stages, including data eduction, data presentation and taking the conclusion. The results show that the role of Culture and Tourism Office and Village Government in empowering An Apple Picking Tour was carried through collaboration and give encouragement to the society, to establish the Group of Tourism Consciousness/Kelompok Sadar Wisata, and Joint Farmer group/Gabungan Kelompok Tani (Pokdarwis & Gapoktan), having coordination among the Culture and Tourism Office, Village Government and community, and also to have a Development Plan Deliberation (Musrenbang) in a village level. Peranan Dinas Pariwisata Kota Batu dan Pemerintah Desa Punten dalam pemberdayaan wisata sangat berpengaruh pada perkembangan wisata petik apel yang ada di Desa Punten, Kota Batu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan peranan Dinas Pariwisata Kota Batu serta Pemerintah Desa Punten dalam memajukan pariwisata secara maksimal, terutama wisata petik apel yang ada di Desa Punten. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan tehnik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan beberapa tahap, diantaranya reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peranan Dinas Pariwisata Kota Batu serta Pemerintah Desa Punten dalam mengembangkan wisata petik apel dilakukan melalui kerjasama dan memberikan dorongan kepada masyarakat dengan membentuk Kelompok Sadar Wisata dan Gabungan Kelompok Tani (Pokdarwis & Gapoktan), melakukan koordinasi antara Dinas Pariwisata, Pemerintah Desa dan masyarakat, serta mendorong adanya musrembang di tingkat desa.

Qualitative analysis is used to describe the form of the Barong Dance Perfomance, the perception of tourists, the contribution of the Barong Dance Perfomance. Data analysis is using Comodification Theory. Data collection is obtained through observation, interview, literature study, and document study. The research findings are presented and elaboreted descriptively to obtain overall conclucions.</em><em></em></p><p><em>These results indicate</em><em>s</em><em> that the Barong Dance performances as a tourist attraction is </em><em>designed in the form of a performance </em><em>package</em><em> including stage of the show, the ritual, the percussion, and the story of Barong Dance. The perception of the tourists are generally good. This study aims to elaborate and analyze the harmonization model of religious life which is integrated into the patterns of religious social interaction in Kalukku and the role of religious leaders in knitting religious social harmony. The method applied is a qualitative method using inductive data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the pattern of religious interaction in Kalukku refers to the three patterns of Hossein Nasr interaction, namely: 1) concentric interaction patterns; 2) reciprocal interaction patterns; and 3) bound interaction patterns, which are carried out in an integrated manner have succeeded in creating a dynamic, harmonious and quality model of religious interaction. The motivation that underlies the realization of an energetic relationship refers to the concept of the four pillars of maqāṣid Ibn ‘Āshūr namely Fiṭrah, Samāḥa, al-Musāwāh, and Ḥurriyah. The paradigm of religious leaders towards the existence of cross-faith parties leads to a tolerant attitude based on the concept of Cak Nur's inclusive theology. The harmony and tolerant paradigm in Kalukku is built through formal and non-formal da'wah which is woven in efforts to acculturate religion and culture.

The concepts of e-government and e-health have usually been separately studied and sparsely implemented in many developing countries. In the few studies where both concepts are combined, the role of e-government is hardly examined in the implementation and practice of e-health. This article offers an exploratory analysis and provides insight on the factors that influence the complementarity of both concepts, with focus on the Africa continent. Existing literature in the areas of e-government and e-health were gathered and used as data, from a qualitative method viewpoint. Dimensions of change from the perspective of the structuration theory was employed as a lens to guide the data analysis, which was conducted by using the hermeneutic approach. From the analysis, the role of the e-government in the implementation and practice of e-health was found to manifest from six main factors, which are source, platforms, collaboration, transparency, heterogeneity, and privacy. Based on these factors, a model was developed, which is intended to guide professionals in their practices. Also, the study might be of interest to academics from theoretical standpoint.

OBJECTIVE: To understand how adolescents perceive the experience and what meanings they attribute to fatherhood.METHODS: Research of a qualitative method, using interviews of 25 young people who had become fathers for the first time. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, taped and transcribed in their entirety. Data analysis occurred using an initial and then an exhaustive reading of the material, synthesis of the results obtained, and identification of implicit content.RESULTS: The analysis and interpretation of this material allowed us to identify three thematic categories: the role of the young father; gains and losses with fatherhood, and solutions adopted during the experienced difficulties. It was evident that the exercise of fatherhood contributed to the assumption of masculinity, to play the role of guardian of the home and provider for the family.CONCLUSION: Fatherhood was seen as a positive experience that transformed teenagers into adults.

This study aims to obtain an overview of how to foster children's character through the role of Islamic education from Mubaligh and contributions of parents in Gayau Pantu Sri Aman village, Sarawak, Malaysia. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study design. The subjects of this study were children aged 10-12 years old. The minority converts are tenheads of families, and the preacher consists of two people who come from the community. Data were collected through interviews and observations. Data analysis refers to the Milles and Huberman model, namely: 1) data collection, 2) data reduction, 3) data presentation, and 4) makingconclusions. The data validity technique used triangulation of data and sources. The results showed that mubaligh and parents play a role in developing children's character by applying social-oriented religious learning. Religion and tolerance are the most dominant characters that grow in children.

This research intend to describe about anxiety experienced by the new students of Islamic Boarding School Al-Hadi Pekalongan. The scope of this research there are objective anxiety and neurotic anxiety. The method who used inthis research is Qualitative Descriptive and using Miles and Huberman’s data analysis techniques. This research shows that the new student of Islamic Boarding School Al-Hadi Pekalongan have free floating neurotic anxiety. In this case, student revealed that himself often experienced anxiety to something not real. The student get the expectation, however accompanied also with anxiety or can be called anxious. This anxiety is named a free floating neurotic anxiety. The role of guidance and counseling to lowered the anxiety learning of new student is trough cognitive counseling. Cognitive counseling emphasize to counselee belief so that able to change negatif thinking and maladaptif thinking to be positif thinking and adaptif thinking. Trough this positif thinking the anxiety learning student will be come down even disappear.

This research aimed at discovering the staff’s lecturing styles at The Early Childhood Education Program, The School of Education, The State University of Jakarta based on four types: formal authority, personal model or demonstrator, fasilitator, dan delegator. The research conducted in September2011 through January 2012, employed descriptive qualitative method with the researcher acting as the instrument. Data were collected by observation, interview, and document study techniques to be validated in triangulation and member check. Data analysis used the procedures of data reduction, data display, and verification/conclusion. The findings indicate that the staff tend to practise facilitator lecturing style oriented on the students and the staff initate various activities involving the students to improve and develop their competence. Based on the research findings, the staff are recommended to improve their professional competence properly.
