This  study is  aimed at investigating  the  strategy formulation  in  the development of religious tourism in Mount Haruman by using a SWOT analysis and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The latter was used to determine the recommended strategies to be implemented. The research employed a descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. The data were collected by using in-depth interviews and distributing questionnaires to a number of key informants around Mount Haruman. The results showed that there were a number of alternative strategies used. The religious tourism managers of Mount Haruman were able to develop their natural potential by holding special events, providing navigation, increasing promotion, providing and developing various facilities, improving the quality of human resources, establishing cooperation and community ownership, planning and developing tourism, maintaining and repairing infrastructure, as well as improving visitor awareness. Based on the analysis of all alternative strategies through QSPM, the strategy that should be implemented and treated as a top priority is to increase promotion. It can be carried out by utilizing information and communication-based technology that is currently developing. The study brings implication that information technology plays a crucial role in tourism development, especially in religious tourism in Mount Haruman.

The growth of BTS which is the main infrastructure in the implementation of telecommunications is needed for service and improvement of the quality of telecommunication networks, especially in pandemic times. The goal to be achieved In order to formulate the company's strategic planning to develop its business, information is needed about what business model is currently adopted by the company, what factors affect the company's current position in the market that will give rise to alternatives to the company's strategy, and what are the alternative strategies that are priority strategies and suitable for the current condition of PT. XYZ. The analysis method used is Business Model Canvas (BMC), Strength Weakness Opportunity Threat (SWOT) and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) Based on the results of the study, BMC told PT XYZ, that the business model of the company can still sustain its business operations but there are some slight shortcomings that need to be improved to maximize the elements that can increase profits from the company. The results of the analysis of strategy formulation and SWOT analysis resulted in seven alternative strategies. This study aims to determine the priority strategies of several alternative strategies in IndiHome which are formulated using SWOT analysis. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data used are primary. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique and get seven informants. Primary data generated from the interviews were analyzed using SAP and ETOP to diagnose factors including strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. After that, these factors are formulated in the SWOT matrix to determine alternative strategies. Strategy alternatives are then formulated in the QSPM matrix to obtain priority strategy results for IndiHome. The validity test in this study was carried out by triangulation of sources. The results showed that there were four alternative strategies for IndiHome Telkom Area of West Nusa Tenggara. Based on four alternative strategies, the priority strategy for IndiHome which is determined by QSPM matrix is to upgrade the quality of services provided to customers regularly with a total weight of 7,051. The results of this study are expected to be able to assist in the framework of thinking about strategic management knowledge in the Internet Service Provider (ISP) industry and also provide additional information and insights in the selection of alternative strategies as well as new insights about the condition of the company from an external perspective.

Sumenep is one of the salt producers in Indonesia. The problem experienced by farmers is the production of salt using evaporation by solar energy that depends on the weather and the low price, caused by worse business management. Salt is a potential commodity, because its market is still wide open. This research aims to develop the salt production method and development strategy of salt business in Sumenep Regency by using SWOT analysis. The result of the analysis concludes that the priority of salt development business strategy in Sumenep Regency are: i) Geoisolator technology application strategy to produce good quality of salt; ii) cooperation strategy in group mechanism to build power and increasing the bargaining value of the farmers; iii) capital strengthening strategy through partner cooperatives; iv) broader marketing management management strategies to industrial salt user sectors.

The development of the tourism industry can not be separated from the development of transportation accessibility. Which although the location of the tour it is very good, the access and transportation is less adequate the tourist visit there will be very limited and just certain tourist groups who visit. The location that the researcher chose to research is the Pramuka islands. With the aim of the strategic planning of the accessibility development in support of Pramuka island tour. The designing of this research uses a mixed method. Basically, this method combines various techniques, philosophy and research design orientation. The collected data will be analyzed by using SWOT analysis followed by compiling an alternative strategy using matrix SWOT for development of tourism transportation accessibility of Pramuka island. Accessibility of tourism transportation of the Pramuka island’s view from and towards to the Pramuka island. By looking at the characteristic of the existing transportation system on the Pramuka island by servicing that can get by the tourists while using it. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis raises alternative strategies of making schedules and travel routes in the Pramuka island, making the safety procedure to every existing transportation. Conducting information to the transportation service providers in the importance of transportation licence and quality of human resources in the transportation scope.

With emergence of technological and social change, rivalry between firms in the publishing industry is becoming more intense. Number of publishers in Indonesia keeps increasing, while switching cost of customer is low. ABC Press is a university publisher that has a volatile revenue, where they experienced revenue decrease in 2016 by 1,73% and in 2019 by 19,36%. Besides that, the business also has not grown much, where the average revenue growth from 2015 to 2019 is only 15,93%. ABC Press needs to formulate and reinvent their business strategy and model to improve their performance, remain competitive and sustainable in the publishing industry. This study uses primary data based on interview with three representatives of ABC Press and examine related secondary data to map the current Business Model Canvas (BMC). Then internal and external analysis is carried out to perform SWOT analysis in BMC, followed by strategy and new BMC formulation. To create value innovation, author used Four Action Framework in the strategy formulation. Cost leadership is deemed as the most appropriate business strategy, which demands ABC Press to conduct process innovation through developed production and distribution methods. Meanwhile, long tail business model combined with multi-sided platform is the appropriate business model, where ABC Press needs to focus on offering large range of niche products through their website as their main platform.

Background - The corona virus (Covid-19) has rocked the world, WHO even declared this a pandemic, so that various policies have also been carried out by the Indonesian government to reduce the spread of the virus. However, the business world is the most affected, especially SMEs as the tip of the economy in Indonesia. Therefore, SMEs need to create a business strategy that can continue to maintain their business in the midst of a pandemic situation that is still ongoing today. Purpose - to identify internal and external conditions and formulate business strategies to improve competitiveness in the small business of the Azky Collection hijab in Melirang Wetan Village, Bungah District, Gresik Regency during the Covid-19 pandemic which is still ongoing until October 2020. Design / Methodology / Approach - This study uses a case study approach with an explanative qualitative research method. Data analysis using Expert Choice V11 software. Results and Discussion - The results showed that the analysis of the internali and externali environmenti at the Azky Collection was above average (stabel). The right strategy formulation used by Azky Collection in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic through matrix analysis of IFE, EFE, SWOT, IE, CPM, Grand Strategy and QSPM which can increase its competitiveness is product development. Conclusion - The right strategy formulation used by Azky Collection in facing the challenges of environmental change due to the Covid-19 pandemic is product development. Research implications - This study provides a contribution to the application of strategic management related to the determination (formulation) of strategy in SMEs which are the driving force of the largest economic sector. Research limitations - The study was conducted by conducting interviews and questionnaires given via telephone and WhatsApp because they were still in a pandemic situation.

This study aims to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the Swot analysis, to analyze the positioning with the Swot analysis, as well as to analyze alternative business strategies used by PT. Bank Negara Indonesia. Main Branch Office of Parepare in improving the quality of productive credit distribution. To implement these objectives, data collection techniques are used through observation, questionnaires, and documentation, using descriptive analysis methods, SWOT analysis, IFE, and EFE matrices, External Strategy Factor Analysis (EFAS), Internal Strategy Factor Analysis (IFAS), Grand Strategy Matrix, Tows or SWOT Matrix, Space Matrix, Analysis (QSPM). The results found that the position of PT. BNI (Persero), Tbk. Prepare's Main Branch Office is a position for aggressive growth. Where the growth strategy shows that strengths and opportunities are greater when compared to weaknesses and threats so that the appropriate strategy is used in the growth strategy. BNI strategies are suitable for use by PT. BNI (Persero), Tbk. Prepare's Main Branch Office in improving the quality of productive lending is a market penetration strategy

This research was conducted to analyze the factual conditions in the milkfish pond business, find out the development business strategy, and compile a business plan for milkfish pond business development. This study uses data analysis methods in the form of in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. From the results of the research the factual business conditions on the technical aspects including pond preparation, fertilizing and eradicating pests, acclimatization and spreading nener, feeding, and harvesting have been going well. In the management aspect which consists of planning, organizing, moving, and supervising according to business functions. In the marketing aspects including marketing mix, marketing channels, marketing margins and ways of payment have been distributed to consumers. In the calculation of short-term and long-term financial aspects it can be concluded that this business is profitable and feasible to run financially. The business development strategy with the SWOT analysis is located in quadrant I, which supports aggressive growth policies using the SO (Strength Opportunities) strategy. The strategy used is to maintain the quality of milkfish, conduct training with field extension workers, utilize natural resources, facilities and infrastructure to support business and optimize this business for the better by looking at financial aspects that are viable.

The shoe laundry business is one type of MSMEs in the fashion sector which is included in the creative service industry. The demand for the shoe laundry business is increasing, especially for students, workers as well as busy housewives. Shoe laundry services are an alternative to save time and energy. To be able to maintain existence in achieving the goals of a business unit, a development strategy needs to be done. This study aims to identify internal and external factors, analyze the factors that influence the Step'nShu laundry development strategy and determine the formulation of a development strategy. The sampling technique was using purposive sampling method. The number of respondents was 5 respondents who are owners, employees, fashion experts. The research was conducted using the key success factor analysis tool, IFE, EFE to analyze internal and external factors of the Step'nShu Laundry Shoes, IE matrix to see where Step'nShu's position, SWOT to map alternative strategies and QSPM to formulate strategic priorities. Based on the research results, The strategy formulation results from the SWOT analysis resulted in eight alternative strategies, namely utilizing social media and education about shoe laundry, clarifying the positioning of the Step'nShu Laundry Shoes, more active and consistent promotion, better employee recruitment, studying competition with similar services, holding events regarding socialization of shoe hygiene, using the latest shoe washing technology tools and planning to open new branches. The QSPM analysis produces the main priority strategy, namely promotions that are carried out more actively and consistently. Keywords: development strategy, EFE, IFE, SWOT, QSPM.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to identify a SWOT analysis and formulate a business strategy using the IFE and EFE matrix, as well as the Grand Strategy matrix at the Café and Angkringan Nu Laharjo Mojokerto. The benefits of the research are identified SWOT analysis and strategy formulation can be used as a measure in future business planning. The research used is qualitative research, while the data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis, namely  describing the data collected using SWOT analysis, IFE and EFE matrix, and the Grand Strategy matrix. The results show that the SWOT analysis is identified, the IFE and EFE matrices have a positive total score, and the Grand Strategy matrix shows that Nu Laharjo Café and Angkringan are in a strategic and good position.   Keywords : Strategy Formulation, SWOT Analysis, IFE and EFE Matrix, Grand Strategy Matrix
