Technology in education is somehow misconceived by many scholars who think that it replaces conventional knowledge and its transmission. From the onset of this chapter, the author admits that technology has a lot to offer and improve teaching and learning transaction in terms of curriculum design, curriculum implementation, and curriculum evaluation in all stages. It also sets a pace as an aid to learning especially during this era of technological savviness. To answer the question whether technology is a deciding factor on learning outcomes remains a work of further research and more so educational dialogue forums on the subject matter. However, this study has underscored the significance and usability of technology to learning and that without which learning outcomes become rather wanting. It is further argued that teachers who are half baked in the use of technology can bring more harm to education than good. To be precise, technology in education requires a “handle with care” machine. Teachers must be able to use the “machines” and not to be used by them.

The purpose of this article is twofold: to discuss some current problems with curriculum design in physical education, and to offer some suggestions for model-based attempts to assist the process of implementing new curriculums. The process of curriculum implementation can be broken into two phases, the preoperational stage and the operational stage. Several issues within each of the two stages are discussed, for curriculum changes in general and specifically for physical education. The key elements in curriculum implementation are: support (material and human), change strategies, communication channels, staff development, and instructional planning. Each element has its own role to play in the process, and the lack of any single element will severely hinder the efficacy of the changes desired. The final section of the article presents a model of the curriculum change process as outlined in the text.

The Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic that has plagued the world has changed the mindset, how to behave and how to act, not only in social interaction but also has influenced the law enforcement system. Development in Information Technology (IT) has found a teleconference system as a means of conducting virtual courts as a reaction to social or physical distancing movements which is one way to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Although in practice the use of a virtual court in a trial is considered capable of preventing the spread of viruses, the use of a virtual court must keep be based on applicable laws and regulations. This paper is a normative legal research with legislation approach, case approach, comparative legal approach, and conceptual approach to legal material collected through literature study and then analyzed using grammatical, systematic, and extensive interpretation methods. Based on the results of the study, several countries such as the United Kingdom, China, Australia (New South Wales) and America (New York) and Indonesia (although limited to the examination of witnesses) have applied virtual courts in the justice system. Implementation of the trial using the virtual court method by teleconference did not violate the provisions of the trial set out in the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). According to the Draft Law KUHAP has accommodated the trial using the virtual court method as an embodiment of legal principles in the judiciary that is carried out quickly, simply, and at a low cost. The use of virtual court is not the first or primary choice in examining criminal cases in Indonesia, in abnormal emergency conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic as it is today, an examination by the virtual court method is a solution so that the criminal justice system continues to run without reducing the efforts to prevent the spread of the virus. Trials using virtual court facilities continue to accommodate the human rights of victims, witnesses and defendants through their virtual presence so that a fair trial continues in the courtroom.

This research examines the problems arising from the criminal law policy of imposing the death penalty for corruptors during the Covid-19 pandemic. C. Law Number 31 of 1999 which has been amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes is one of the weapons to fight corruption in Indonesia, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic as a national non-natural disaster which has been a serious concern of the government.  In the event of corruption cases occur during the Covid-19 pandemic, such criminal cases should be tackled in an extraordinary and special way because the impact of Covid-19 pandemic has affected all sectors of life, one of which is the economy. Considering the Covid-19 pandemic, it is appropriate if Indonesia is currently categorized under certain conditions. It means that this condition implies that if a criminal act of corruption occurs during the Covid-19 pandemic, law enforcers can prosecute or impose a death penalty for corruption perpetrators as stipulated in Article 2 paragraph (1) and (2) of the Corruption Eradication Law. This research used the normative legal method which is carried out through literature study with the aim of writing the article to find out what weaknesses can lead to juridical problems with the enforcement of the death penalty against corruptors in Indonesia and to analyze the urgency of criminal law policy n the imposition of the death penalty for corruptors during the Covid-19 pandemic.
