The article provides insights into the problem of selecting an effective company competitive strategy in modern market realia. It is proved that company development policy must rely on the implementation of science-based management decisions in every functional area of business which take into consideration a range of impact factors of both external and internal environment. The study findings reveal that by using its opportunities efficiently and preventing threats, an enterprise can reduce its financial costs to implement relevant marketing strategies. Particular emphasis is placed on the need to keep track of competitors’ behaviour and mindful selection and implementation of sound competitive strategies aimed at achieving greater economic benefits and boosting the number of loyal customers. The research objective is to provide theoretical substantiation and enhance the methodological support for choosing a competitive strategy with due regard to company opportunities and capacity along with its market security. The proposed methodological approach to building a competitive strategy assumes identification of company position in the matrix, the positioning criteria for which are its market security and the selected priority component of the company competitive advantage. The choice of priority component should be based on the analysis of competitive advantages by each of their structural elements. Using the matrix for selecting competitive strategies involves the analysis of alternatives to the company long-term marketing strategy within each quadrant and allows for bottleneck detection in business operations.

Under the current conditions of increasing competition, businesses face with the challenge of increasing their competitive-ness. Development of production programs requires the attraction of additional financial resources. Therefore, there is a need to attract investment by developing a strategy for the investment attractiveness of the enterprise, which is achieved by increasing its competitive advantages. In the process of research, methods of theoretical generalization and comparison, analysis and synthesis are used (to substantiate the essence of theoretical aspects of enterprise competitiveness, to determine the main com-ponents of competitiveness and its impact on the investment attractiveness of the enterprise), the graphical method (for visual representation of study findings), strategic forecasting (while determining the strategic directions of increasing the investment attractiveness of the enterprise), a logical method (for theoretical generalizations and forming research conclusions) are used. The paper investigates the theoretical and methodological foundations of optimization of the management process in the context of increasing the competitiveness of the enterprise, which require detailed study in order to form an effective competitive strategy. Ways to optimize the management process of the operator PJSC «Ukrtelecom», which allows top-management to take measures to build an effective organizational structure of enterprise management. The influence of competitive advantages on changes of competitive strategies of the operator in the market of telecommunication services of Ukraine, necessary for consolidation of the competitive positions, and also the further development of internal components of its vital activity according to growing needs of the market is estimated. The matrix of priority directions of optimization of the operator management process as a component of the economic orientation of the sphere of activity of the enterprise and its strategic development is investigated. The obtained research results can be considered as ways of improvement the competitiveness of the enterprise, which will be used to create objective prerequisites and methodological grounds for further study of the given problem.Keywords: management process optimization, telecommunication services, enterprise competitiveness, competitive strategy, strategic development. Стаття присвячена дослідженню теоретико-методичних основ оптимізації процесу управління в контексті підвищення конкурентоспроможності підприємства, які потребують детального опрацювання з метою формування ефективної конкурентної стратегії. Визначено шляхи оптимізації процесу управління оператора ПАТ «Укртелеком», що дозволяє топ-менеджменту вжити заходів, щодо побудови ефективної організаційної структури управління підприємством. Оцінено вплив конкурентних переваг на зміни конкурентних стратегій оператора на ринку телекомунікаційних послуг України, необхідного для закріплення своїх конкурентних позицій, а також подальшого розвитку внутрішніх складових його життєдіяльності у відповідності до всезростаючих потреб ринку. The authors investigated several import retail e-commerce sellers through questionnaires and selected several types of variables based on Porter's competitive strategy theory. Then the authors used the panel data to empirically verify theoretical consumptions based on samples got by Python method from Jingdong Global Purchases and Tmall International, the top two e-commerce platforms in China. Results validated the three major competitive strategies that could enhance the competitive advantages to import retail e-commerce sellers. As it was not applied to all platforms and commodities, sellers should make different strategies through different platforms and commodities. This article has theoretical significance that filled in the gaps on import retail e-commerce sellers' competition. It also has certain practical significance by providing references for sellers on how to improve their competitive advantages, promote healthy competition and development of the import retail e-commerce, even to facilitate the structure adjustment of consumption and foreign trade in China.

На основе анализа тенденций развития агропромышленного комплекса России за последние годы и с учетом изменения роста доходов населения и структуры потребления основных продуктов питания предложены модели построения конкурентных стратегий для предприятий пищевой промышленности. Представлена классификация базовых конкурентных стратегий, описаны их особенности и преимущества в различных ситуациях на рынке. Предложен концептуальный подход к формированию конкурентных стратегий предприятия, основанный на анализе его возможного развития и ситуации в отрасли и предполагающий создание долгосрочных конкурентных преимуществ предприятия на основе его позиционирования на рынке. Рассмотрена стратегия дифференциации и ее особенности в сравнении с другими конкурентными стратегиями. Представлены возможности создания дополнительной покупательской ценности продукта. Предложен алгоритм разработки и реализации конкурентной стратегии предприятия, позволяющий систематизировать аналитические данные, минимизировать разрыв между планируемыми и фактическими экономическими показателями предприятия и способствующий своевременной корректировке избранной конкурентной стратегии. Based on the analysis of trends in the development of the Russian agro-industrial complex in recent years and taking into account changes in the growth of household income and the structure of consumption of basic food products, models for building competitive strategies for food industry enterprises are proposed. The classification of basic competitive strategies is presented; their features and advantages in various market situations are described. A conceptual approach to the formation of competitive strategies of the enterprise, based on the analysis of its possible development and the situation in the industry and involving the creation of long-term competitive advantages of the enterprise based on its positioning in the market, is proposed. The differentiation strategy and its features in comparison with other competitive strategies are considered. The possibilities of creating additional customer value of the product are presented. An algorithm for the development and implementation of the competitive strategy of the enterprise, which allows to systematize analytical data, minimize the gap between the planned and actual economic indicators of the enterprise and contributes to the timely adjustment of the chosen competitive strategy, is proposed.

Purpose With its focus on the context of small firm internationalization, this paper aims to assess the important contribution of strategic determinants that influence export performance (EP), considering the mediating effect of competitive strategy. Design/methodology/approach Based on survey data from 247 Portuguese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) exporting textiles, members of the Portugal’s Textile Association (ATP), this research adopted a quantitative methodological approach, conducting an exploratory and transversal empirical study. Findings The paper finds suggest that entrepreneurial orientation (EO) has a positive and significant influence on differentiation and EP. Moreover, the results also highlight the role of intangible resources (IR) in the design of both differentiation and cost leadership strategies, which drives EP. Finally, absorptive capabilities (ACAPs) are highly related with EP. Practical implications The paper provides empirical evidence that EO, IR and ACAPs are predictors of competitive strategies and EP. Moreover, and alongside with firm’s resources, this study validates that competitive strategy does matters for small firm managers and the development of one type of competitive advantage is also a major performance enhancer. Originality/value This study provides fresh insights into entrepreneurship and strategic management literature, as it considers the importance of multiple factors to SMEs business growth. Moreover, this paper presents empirical evidences of the strategies that small firm managers should pursue and policy makers should support. Finally, this is an original study applied to the Portuguese textile industry.

Subject. The article considers the need to study the financing of investment and innovation processes and creating an effective system of project financing. Objectives. The purpose is to search for new opportunities to enhance the competitive advantages of enterprises of the dairy subcomplex, to ensure their financial stability and steady position in specialized agricultural food-product markets. Methods. The study draws on the theoretical and methodological approach to the impact of project management of innovation and investment activities on improving the efficiency of the project financing system and financial stability of enterprises operating in the dairy subcomplex. Results. The findings show that four levels can be distinguished in the formation and improvement of the system of project financing and the management of innovation and investment activities, depending on the depth of transformation. The principle that provides the integration of the said system with the current model of management of the dairy subcomplex enterprise is defined as a driver. The paper offers a number of levels of the system transformation to gain competitive advantages. Conclusions. I present a mechanism for creating and improving the system of project financing and the management of innovation and investment activities, and a mechanism for interaction of the network of automated information systems, intended to make management decisions, with the automation of information support to innovative solutions.

Introduction. Ensuring the sustainable development of domestic agricultural producers involves achieving and maintaining a sufficient level of economic efficiency and competitiveness for the implementation of expanded reproduction. This, first of all, implies the formation of an appropriate level of competitiveness through the creation of sustainable competitive advantages of products and manufacturers. This process is impossible without attracting investment resources and introducing innovations in order to create competitive advantages, strengthen market positions and increase the level of concentration of productive capital. The latter necessitates a comprehensive strategic planning, which would be based on the innovative orientation of investment activities. The purpose of the article is to form theoretical and methodological and applied principles of competitive strategies formation of innovation and investment development of agricultural production entities. Method (methodology). Methods of comparison, analysis, theoretical and logical generalization are applied in the course of research. The dialectical method of research became the methodological basis. Results. The author’s vision of the definition of “competitive strategy” is offered in the article. The classification of competitive strategies is developed. A model of a strategic rhombus is proposed as a theoretical basis for determining areas for improving the mechanisms of managing the competitiveness of agribusiness entities, which includes five elements: arena; conductor; differentiators; sequence; economic logic. The proposals of applied character concerning realization of competitive strategies of innovative-investment development of subjects of agricultural production are substantiated. Introduction and Objective of the Research. According to the modern economic theory, compliance in the global business and its support occupy a certain, moreover, indefinite place among the heaviest burdens for global business entities. The objective of the article is to cover the issue of smart contractual relationships (SCR) as a way to increase the business activity of global business entities by minimizing compliance risks (CR).Hypothesis of Research Studies. With current technology solutions available today, it is expected that SCR will allow minimizing the burden of global business entities by widespread CR. The most important role among such solutions is played by the latest distributed ledger technologies (DLT). In the medium term, these technologies will reach such a level of development, at which the transition of contractual relationships from ordinary to intelligent ones will not only lead to the decrease in business activity in world markets, but will also contribute to its substantial increase.Objective. To prove that CR substantially overburden global business processes; to substantiate the urgency of the issue of the transition of the global business to SCR, as a way to a possible lack of CR in the global business environment.Research Methods:- theoretical substantiation for proving the significance of CR as factors of the global business environment and the necessity of using DLT in SCR;- statistical analysis for conducting a normative monetary valuation of CR and representing the degree of awareness by global business entities (GBE) of the competitive advantages of SCR over ordinary ones.Results: the significance of compliance risks in the global business is defined; the importance of smart contractual relationships in the way of eliminating compliance risks essential for entrepreneurship is theoretically grounded. The existence of advantages of the activities of global business entities within one or more sectors according to the cluster principle has been proved:- the cluster economy is a set of solely smart contractual relationships with the use of blockchain technologies;- using these technologies, entrepreneurship in the cluster is accompanied by minimal compliance risks.Conclusions. The article outlines the economic essence of SCR using DLT. Accordingly, theoretically, DLT will promote the spread of SCR to the entire global business environment, since business processes that are not accompanied by CR are possible then. Further research will cover the essence of DLT, due to which all the main advantages, as well as all existing deficiencies of the technology and defects for their active introduction in SCR in the world.


The article is devoted to the research of the possibilities of cooperation between the European Union (EU) and Ukraine in the use of blockchain technologies. The transition to the blockchain allows to minimise costs and maximise the results of economic activity. The experience of using blockchain technologies by world corporations is analysed. The subject of the research in the article is the potential of economic cooperation between the EU and Ukraine in the field of implementation and use of blockchain technologies. The purpose of the article is to find out the economic prospects of cooperation between the EU and Ukraine in the use of blockchain technologies. Tasks: researching of tendencies of development of blockchain technologies and possible variants of their implantation in activity of the Ukraine’s enterprises, searching for benefits from cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in the field of use of blockchain technologies. General scientific used research methods: analysis – to determine the peculiarities of the use of blockchain technologies in the EU, synthesis – to find opportunities for cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in the use of blockchain technologies. The obtained results: based on the analysis of the dynamics of changes in the field of enterprise technology, problematic aspects are identified and the main advantages of the transition from the traditional management model to blockchain platforms are identified, and the economic benefits of locating mining farms in Ukraine compared to some EU countries are calculated. Conclusions: using of blockchain technologies by modern enterprises gives them a number of competitive advantages, including saving on labor costs, increased information security, reduced costs for quality control of products/services, etc. Blockchain allows to promote more sustainable cooperation between EU and Ukrainian companies not only in trade, but also in industry, finance and energy. By implementing joint blockchain systems with the EU, Ukraine can provide mining with low costs for electricity and wages.

The article summarizes the arguments and counterarguments about the peculiarities of formation of competitive advantages on the services market in Ukraine on the example of consulting. Assessment of the development of consulting services market in Ukraine was conducted for ten years (2010; 2011; 2012; 2013; 2013; 2014; 2015; 2016; 2017; 2018; 2019, 2020). Methodology. The use of methods of analysis, synthesis and graphical representation allowed for a theoretical study of the formation of competitive advantages. The use of methods of economic, heuristic and strategic analysis became the basis for estimating the market of consulting services in Ukraine and working out practical recommendations for its development. Results. The author's understanding of the concept of "competitive advantages of the company", the factors of their formation and described the relationship of competitive strategies with the process of their formation. Analysis of the market of consulting services in Ukraine revealed its immaturity, exacerbated by the economic crisis, as well as the institutional vulnerability of consulting. The reasons of unstable demand for consulting services are described. According to the results of the expert assessment the Top 15 Ukrainian consulting companies (2020) out of 102 were determined. The leadership matrix of these companies is built depending on their role in the target market, taking into account the typology of competitive strategies of F. Kotler. The analysis showed the transformation of consulting in Ukraine under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the broad interest in digital and HR consulting. Practical recommendations for the development of the market of consulting services in Ukraine are presented. Practical implications. It is proposed to include the following factors in the formation of the competitive advantages of the consulting company: the quality of services, competence of consultants and productivity of the company. The main competitive advantage is the competence of consultants, the level of which affects the quality of services, the results of the company and its customers. To strengthen the competitive advantage it is recommended to use the standard of consulting services in the activities of Ukrainian companies. Value/originality. The results of the study can be useful for any consulting company wishing to improve its competitiveness and expand the market for its services.

Abstract. Taking into account global development trends, integration and globalization processes, encourage the search for and further development of new products, services and management mechanisms. The economic-mathematical model of optimization of parameters of type NBIC-direction of competitive advantages is developed. The model is formed by the criterion of maximizing  the net discounted cashflow. Based on the developed scientific and methodological approach, 4 types of NBIC-direction of competitive advantages of telecommunication enterprises are proposed, which are based on a combination of levels of innovative activity of the enterprise (from low to high) and complementarity of cashflow management (from low to high). As a result, the types of NBIC-direction of competitive advantages of the enterprise are proposed: adaptive-passive, adaptive-active, object-oriented; foresight-progressive. Complementary cashflow management involves a balanced distribution of cashflows by certain NBIC-components, namely: Nano-components (application of Nano-development stop rovide high-speed telecommunications), Bio-components (introduction of artificial intelligence in organizational culture, implementation of self-organization in the enterprise), Info-components (introduction of innovative standards of telecommunication activity, information software in business process management), Cogno-components (cognitive flexibility of top and middle managers, ability of personnel to complementarity, development of knowledge management system at enterprise, introduction of system of continuous training of all employees links). Thus, the combined use of these components provides an increase in cashflows and forms a modern platform for breakthrough competitive development of enterprises.
