The purpose of this study is to formulate a redefinition of vocabulary related to language wars. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data analysis technique uses an interactive model consisting of three analysis components: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The activities of the three components are carried out in an interactive form with the data collection process. The rise of legal cases related to language is in line with the increasingly massive use of social media in society. These cases are part of the language war. Society, in general, is still common and even misunderstands related speech that is categorized as language war and has the potential to be caught in the law. Language war is the use of the language of a speaker/writer intentionally as a tool/weapon for self or group interests. Language wars are carried out directly or indirectly that attack the ideas, thoughts, behaviour, honour, or physical condition of a person or group of speech partners. Language wars include suggestions, criticism, ridicule, incitement, defamation, insults, and slander. More detailed definitions and socialization efforts to the public regarding various language criteria are preventive measures for various legal cases related to language.

Abstract: The purpose of the research is to find out and study the Instagram social media role in the publication of photography results of X-Flash student activity unit and photo publication on Instagram supporting the creativity of members. Technology advance nowadays make it easier for people to find out the needed information easily just by using the internet and what's new in the internet world is social media. One of the most popular social media today is Instagram with its advantages that it can beautify photos with various existing features, distribute photos and to market products or sell online. The existence of Instagram is used by those who have a hobby of photography to show their works. Therefore, this study aims to examine the role of Instagram social media on the publication of the X-Flash photography results. The data analysis technique used were data reduction, data presentation and verification. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that the role of Instagram social media were as a media for publication and promotion to increase popularity, increase the existence of X-Flash, give or receive online invitation from off-campus photography communities and introduce the work of X-Flash to the public. There were ways to increase the creativity of members, namely by sharing, hunting together, holding exhibition and re-uploading members' work.Keywords: Social Media Instagram, Instagram, Photography, UKM X-FlashAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui dan mempelajari peran media sosial instagram terhadap publikasi hasil fotografi UKM X-Flash serta publikasi foto di instagram yang mendukung kreativitas anggota. Kemajuan teknologi saat ini memudahkan masyarakat untuk mengetahui informasi yang dibutuhkan dengan mudah hanya dengan menggunakan internet dan yang baru di dunia insternet adalah media sosial. Salah satu media sosial yang terpopuler saat ini adalah instagram dengan kelebihannya yang bisa memperindah foto dengan berbagai fitur yang ada, menyebarkan foto dan untuk memasarkan produk atau berjualan online. Adanya instagram ini dimanfaatkan oleh mereka yang memiliki hobi dalam dunia fotografi untuk memperlihatkan hasil karyanya. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini ingin meneliti peran media sosial instagram terhadap publikasi hasil fotografi UKM X-Flash. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh peran media sosial instagram yaitu sebagai media publikasi dan promosi untuk meningkatkan popularitas, meningkatkan eksistensi UKM X-Flash, memberikan atau menerima undangan online dari komunitas fotografi luar kampus dan mengenalkan hasil karya UKM X-Flash kepada khalayak. Adapun cara untuk meningkatkan kreativitas anggota yaitu dengan melakukan sharing, hunting bersama, mengadakan pameran dan mengunggah kembali karya anggota.Kata Kunci: Media Sosial, Instagram, Fotografi, UKM X-Flash

This study aims to describe Reyog Ponorogo from the historical aspect, the negative stigma that has accompanied its development, and local wisdom that spreads to all its components. This problem is studied using a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews with data collection tools is the researcher himself as a key instrument. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analytical with the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study are as follows; (1) Reyog Obyog is an important and inseparable part of Reyog Ponorogo. In fact, it is very possible that Reyog Obyog is the origin of the Reyog Ponorogo which has developed and is known to the public today; (2) Reyog Obyog performance model which tends to be free, not bound by standards, is performed in the audience and is predominantly filled with entertainment, in its development various negative stigmas have emerged in the community, namely eroticism, drunkenness, and mystical performance rituals; (3) The Reyog Obyog has a great value in the form of a noble life guidance which is strategic enough to be used as a medium for building civilization.

Based on preliminary observations, it was found that the people in Nias Islands,North Sumatra province had used medicinal plants for a long time and had inheritedthem from generation to generation. So that many people still use medicinal plants.This study aims to determine the types of family medicinal plants used by thecommunity, how to mix or process family medicinal plants, and public perceptionsof family medicinal plants. This research is a type of qualitative research withdescriptive methods with 125 respondents. Collecting data by observation,interviews, documentation. The data analysis technique uses three stages, namelydata reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. Fromthe research results, there were 23 plant species used by the community in NiasIsland as Family Medicinal Plants. The method of concocting family medicinalplants varies greatly, depending on the type of plant and disease, the people ofSambulu village have good perceptions about family medicinal plants. Suggestionsare expected to maintain the habit of using medicinal plants, and also teach them tochildren or young people.

This study aims to provide information about the history, processions and shifting values that occur in the Wiwitan Tradition in Mangunan, Dlingo, Bnatul, Yogyakarta and the factors behind it. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used was data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this research is that the history Wiwitan Tradition which going on for hundreds of years. The stages in the Wiwitan Tradition are the stages of preparation and implementation. The form of a shift in the value of the Wiwitan Tradition is in the form of shift in value in terms of economy, social, tourism, religion and spirituality. The shift in value that occurs is caused by external factors and internal factors.

The increase in product market share cannot be separated from the connectivity of the marketing system and media used. Marketing channels play an important role in increasing sales both in the short and long term. This study aimed to determine the role of social media in increasing the market share of MSME products in Pematangsiantar City. The research design used a literature study and field study models using a qualitative approach with a one-shot model. The research location was in 8 districts in Pematangsiantar City. The population in this study were MSME players scattered in 8 districts in Pematangsiantar City. The samples were collected using a non-probability sampling technique with purposive sampling technique, so that a total sample size of 240 respondents were obtained. Moreover, the data analysis technique used in this study was data analysis with a data reduction model that was obtained from data collection and data display. The results of this study concluded that the use of social media was very dominant in MSME players in the micro sector and Instagram was one type of social media that was often used. Furthermore, the results of the study also suggested that the time factor was the basis for MSME players using social media as a medium for promoting their products.

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana penggunaan media sosial untuk kegiatan katekese oleh para mahasiswa di Kota Malang, Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa sekolah tinggi agama di Malang, Jawa Timur sebanyak 61 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket tertutup dengan menggunakan Google Form. Teknik analisis data menggunakan scoring, F prosen dan uji binomial. Pengolahan data menggunakan rumus scoring, memperoleh score rata-rata 1,72. Artinya dalam menggunakan media sosial sebagai sarana katekese, mahasiswa menjalankan keterlibatannya dengan baik. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data menggunakan uji binomial diperoleh nilai z = 4,05. Jika dibandingkan dengan nilai tabel maka nilai tersebut lebih rendah dari taraf signifikan 0,05 artinya ada perbedaan antara keterlibatan mahasiswa yang satu dengan yang lain dalam menggunakan media sosial sebagai sarana katekese.AbstractThis research was conducted to reveal how the use of social media for catechesis activities by the students in Malang City, East Java. This research uses quantitative methods. Research subjects are students of religious high schools in Malang, East Java, as many as 61 people. Data collection using a closed questionnaire using Google Form. The data analysis technique used scoring, F percent and binomial test. Processing data using the scoring formula, obtaining an average score of 1.72. This means that in using social media as a means of catechesis, students carry out their involvement well. Based on the results of data processing using the binomial test, the value of z = 4.05 was obtained. When compared with the table value, this value is lower than the significant level of 0.05, meaning that there is a difference between the involvement of one student and another in using social media as a means of catechesis

 This research studies the foodstagramming phenomena that happened on most young people in Surakarta which has been the new lifestyle that causes hyperreality in social media. The purpose of this study was to know the motives behind the activities of foodstagramming done by Instagram users and their effects on the people’s consumptive interest that impacted the hyperreality phenomenon on social media. The actions of foodstagramming are now widely popular since more cafés and restaurants are built-in Surakarta. The technology advancement has changed the eating culture, which in the past, it see as a necessity fulfilment. Still, now it becomes the ‘mark’ of what to expose to the public through simulation in social media that eventually forms fake realities, as mentioned by Jean Baudrillard as hyperreality. This study used the qualitative approach and phenomenology method to dig out the motives behind the Surakarta people’s activities foodstagramming. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation from Instagram, news websites, and survey results about consumptive patterns and social media usage. The informant’s criteria were Instagram users, such as cafés and restaurant consumers, entrepreneurs, and the café or restaurant workers. The data analysis technique was an interactive model data analysis by Miles and Huberman. The result showed that ‘Makan Cantik’ and Foodstagramming were simulations that intentionally create to form a particular image to represent the social status and gain prestige. ‘Makan Cantik’ and Foodstagramming were called hyperreality in social media where fake realities were exposed to be more real than the truth itself.

<p><span lang="IN">This study aims to describe the language variation phenomena in the form of indoglish and idiolect in the Girl Squad public figures on Instagram social media. This research is qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study are in the form of captions or written expressions on Girl Squad’s Instagram uploads. Data sources were obtained from public social media Instagram of Girl Squad member figures. Data collection techniques are collected through documentation, listening, and note-taking. Data analysis was carried out in the interactive study by classifying data taken in written expressions on the Instagram caption of Girl Squad members who then organized and concluded indoglish languages and Idioms. The result of this study indicates the indoglish phenomenon that occurs in the upload of written expressions on the public Instagram figure of Girl Squad. Also, idiolect was found in several public members of the Girl Squad figure. Indoglish language patterns found include (1) prefix insertions, (2) suffix insertions, and (3) pronouns. Idiolect language patterns found include (1) word emphasis, (2) adaptation, (3) creation or formation of new words, and (4) contemporary language.</span></p>

Illocutionary speech act is an act of speech that has the intention of conveying information to its destination so that the speech partner does something. Illocutionary speech acts are found in all aspects of daily social interactions. It is also included in the interactions contained in a drama performance Do Not Sing in the Bathroom which is performed by the Tiang Theater, Jember University. According to Searle, the form of illocutionary speech acts consists of several forms, namely representative, directive, declarative, expressive, and commissive. This study uses a qualitative research design while the type of research used is descriptive which aims toproblems in accordance with reality based on facts. The data in this research is in the form of dialogues that are told by drama characters in the performance. The source of the data in this study is a video performance documentation. Data collection techniques used in this study were documentation techniques and data transcripts. The data analysis technique used in this study consisted of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data analysis procedures (preparation, implementation, and completion). The results of this study indicate that there are forms of illocutionary speech acts in the dialogue of the characters in the drama Prohibited from Singing in the Bathroom by Teater Tiang Universitas Jember, namely: representative, directive, expressive, declarative, and commissive. the illocutionary speech act functions of the drama characters. namely: competitive, convivial, collaborative / cooperation, and conflict. Support speech partners for the illocutionary speech acts received.

The purpose of the study is to introduce and understand the paradigm of Islamic moderation to the public through social media in terms of separating from Islamophobia. The research method is qualitative by using library research. The data analysis technique used is Critical Discourse Analysis. Misunderstanding Islam will have the potential to cause Islamophobia. Social media can be used to provide an understanding of Islamic moderation to public. Given the enormous epidemic of hoaxes on social media, media literacy education and culture of clarification must be encouraged along with grounding Islamic moderation.                                            Keywords: Islamic moderation; Islamophobia; Social Media; Literacy.
