Background: Application of IPE in academics prioritizes collaborative competencies to make students able to understand how to work interprofessionally, so as to foster readiness. Lecturer attitudes are considered as an important component in implementing successful IPE in academic environment. Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine and analyse lecturers attitudes towards interprofessional education. Method: This was descriptive comparative study with cross sectional design. Sampel were 31 lecturers from departments of nursing, midwifery, and medical record taken by purposive sampling. Modified questioner of Attitudes Toward Interprofessional Health Care Teams (ATHCT), Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Scale (RIPLS), and Attitudes Towards Interprofessional Learning in Academic Setting (ATILAS) were applied to examine lecturers attitudes. Result: The results indicate lecturer's positive attitude toward IPE, with an average score of statement item M = 3.96 on the attitude aspect to the interprofessional health care teams; M = 4.11 on attitude aspect to interprofessional education; as well as on attitudes towards interprofessional learning in academic setting with M = 3,93. Discipline, gender, and teaching experience have no significant relationship with overall attitudinal responses towards IPE. Conclusions: These findings can be used as a consideration of the intitution in applying Interprofessional Education at the academic settings.   Keywords: Attitudes, Interprofessional Education, Lecturers

Interprofessional Education (IPE) is a collaborative practice between two or more health professions that mutually learn the role of each health profession and aims to improve collaboration skills and the quality of health services. This study aims to determine the readiness of Poltekkes Gorontalo Student in facing Interprofessional Collaboration through IPE simulations to solve Stunting case.This research is a quantitative study with cross sectional design through data collection using the Readiness Interprofessional Learning Scale questionnaire in Gorontalo Health Polytechnic environment from April to October 2019. The research subjects were Diploma III Students in Nursing, Midwifery and Nutrition in Final Semester. The sampling technique used is proportionate stratified random sampling. Instrument Measurement of student readiness using standard Readiness Interprofessional Learning Scale questionnaire instruments. The Data were analyzed through frequency distribution and Chi-Square.Based on quantitative data analysis shows that there is an increase in Student readiness before and after following the IPE simulation with p value = 0,000.

Background: Geriatric has multi-problems which need inter-disciplinary supports including collaboration among health professionals.  To realize the importance of collaboration among health workers is to encourage collaboration since educational process. Teachers play an important role in conducting an Interprofessional Education (IPE). Purposes: To describe the attitudes and readiness of medical teachers of Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta (UMJ) towards IPE in 2019. Methods: The subjects of the study were medical teachers of UMJ with a sample size of 34 respondents. It was conducted at UMJ on November-December 2019. The instrument used for measuring the variable of attitude is the Attitudes toward Health Care Teams Scale (ATHCTS), whilst Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Scale (RIPLS) questionnaire was for the readiness. Results: It was found respondents who had attitudes in the good and fairly good categories were 62% and 38% respectively. Based on their state of readiness, 85% of the respondents were adequate, 15% moderate, and none not ready. Conclusion: Most of the respondents had a good attitude and ready for IPE. It was found that the aspects of the role in the team are mostly fairly good compared to aspects of values in the team and efficiency in the team which are mostly in the good category. The readiness showed adequate state in 2 aspects which are teamwork and collaboration and professional identity, whilst the aspect of role and responsibility was moderate. Consequently, improvement should be directed for the attitude to play a role in the team and the readiness in role and responsibility aspects.

Background and Purpose: Collaboration among health care profession is required to create synergism in delivering health care at various clinical setting. This collaboration should be initiated at the academic setting through interprofessional learning.  The Purpose of this research was to identify the influence of interprofessional attitudes to readiness of health care professions students for interprofessional learning.Method: Research method used quantitative with descriptive comparative design and cross sectional approaches. RIPLS and IPAS survey were completed by 180 medical and nursing students. Results:  The majority of respondents were 20 years old, 134 were female and 53 respondents were in second year level.  From Chi square statistic analysis, it was found that that there were no relationship between age, gender and level of academic with readiness for interprofessional learning (pvalue >.05).  However, there was a significant relationship between interprofessional attitude of medical (p=.000; α=.05) and nursing students (p= .001 α=.05) with readiness for interprofessional learning. Conclusion and recommendation: It was suggested that interprofessional attitudes of health care professions students should be develop properly in the academic settings, thus it will bridge the gap between others health care professions.

Objective To describe perceptions of knowledge of interprofessional teams and value of interprofessional education (IPE) among 3 distinct years of chiropractic students at 1 chiropractic college. Methods A 24-item cross-sectional survey was administered to 247 chiropractic students in years 1–3 within a single institution. Surveys included 5 demographic questions and the 19-item Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Scale (RIPLS). The RIPLS collected information on perceptions and value of interprofessional health care in a health care training program. Each question is scored on a 1–5 scale, with 5 indicating a stronger agreement. Multivariable analysis was used for comparison. Results Out of a total 321 eligible students, 247 (148 male) students completed the survey from year 1 (n = 66), year 2 (n = 102), and year 3 (n = 79), respectively. Most students (68%) were 18–25 years old. The mean compiled score of all 3 years (n = 231) was 77.2 (SD = 9.1). Each individual's year scores were as follows: year 1 (n = 60, mean = 79.7, SD=7.4), year 2 (n = 95, mean = 76.9, SD = 9.1), and year 3 (n = 76, mean = 75.4, SD = 9.9). Of the 247 students who responded, 87% of participantsagreed with “shared learning with other health care students will increase my ability to understand clinical problems.” Conclusion Most participants demonstrated a positive response to IPE and collaborating with health care teams. Participants in earlier years demonstrated a more positive response compared to later years. While positive perceptions to IPE were demonstrated, chiropractic students lacked knowledge and understanding of their role within an interprofessional health care team.

Introduction. Collaboration, within and between healthcare teams, facilitates effective healthcare. Internationally, the development of interprofessional education, as a means to facilitate more effective teamwork in health care, has been recognized for over forty years. Objective. The aim of this paper is to evaluate students' attitudes toward the influence of interprofessional education on improvement of collaboration and teamwork. Methods. The research was conducted by interviewing students at the Medical Faculty in Novi Sad in the form of cross-sectional study. The study sample included students from two undergraduate programmes: School of Nursing (n=52) and Integrated Studies of Medicine (n=53). Students admitted to the research had to be exposed to clinical experience. The instrument used in this study was the Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Scale (RIPLS). Results. As many as 93.3% of students indicated that basics of teamwork skills should be obtained prior to graduation, whereas 96.2% considered that interprofessional education would enable them to improve mutual trust and respect. The majority of interviewees indicated that patients would ultimately benefit if healthcare students worked together to solve patient problems. Multivariate procedures MANOVA p<0.05 and discriminative analysis p<0.05 of students' attitudes toward teamwork and collaboration showed significant differences between the students of medicine and nursing. Conclusion. The students of the Integrated Studies of Medicine and School of Nursing had a positive attitude toward the influence of interprofessional education on the improvement of collaboration and teamwork.

Introduction: The need for interprofessional education (IPE) is driven by the recognition that one of the major focuses of the Australian health care system is the promotion of effective interprofessional learning and collaboration with the aim of providing optimal patient/client care. The objective of this study was to explore the attitudes towards readiness for interprofessional learning among a group of undergraduate health science students studying at Monash University. Method: A cross-sectional study of students across all undergraduate years from Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Emergency Health - Paramedic/Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Emergency Health - Paramedic, Physiotherapy, and Midwifery was completed. Participants were asked to complete the 19-item paper-based Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Scale (RIPLS). Results: A total of 418 students participated in the study with most students from Nursing (25%) followed by Paramedics (20%). The majority of students were under 25 years of age (83%) and female (80%). Findings suggest that students support the notion of interprofessional collaboration in terms of teamwork, learning, and communication. The following items produced high mean scores: “patients would ultimately benefit if health care students worked together” (M=4.33, SD+0.68), and “learning with other students will make me a more effective member of a health care team” (M=4.38, SD+0.59). The item “shared learning will help me understand my own professional limitations” also produced significant findings F (6, 411)= 7.1, p < 0.001. Subscale scores ranged from 37.34 (SD+4.34) to 4.88 (SD+1.68). Conclusion: Overall, the study has revealed a generally positive attitude towards shared learning and the value of teamwork though the strength of optimism varies among professional groups of students. This study also adds to the emerging body of knowledge surrounding interprofessional learning and provides important data regarding students’ perceptions and readiness for interprofessional learning from an Australian context.

In this study we used a quasiexperimental, cross-sectional design with six cohorts differing in phase of treatment (pretreatment, posttreatment, 2-year posttreatment) and treatment type (psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy) and investigated scores on 39 Rorschach-CS variables. The total sample consisted of 176 participants from four mental health care organizations in The Netherlands. We first examined pretreatment differences between patients entering psychoanalysis and patients entering psychoanalytic psychotherapy. The two treatment groups did not seem to differ substantially before treatment, with the exception of the level of ideational problems. Next, we studied the outcome of psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy by comparing the Rorschach-CS scores of the six groups of patients. In general, we found significant differences between pretreatment and posttreatment on a relatively small number of Rorschach-CS variables. More pre/post differences were found between the psychoanalytic psychotherapy groups than between the psychoanalysis groups. More research is needed to examine whether analyzing clusters of variables might reveal other results.

Unawareness of the roles and competencies of other health professions has led to many medical and medication errors in the treatment of patients in the hospital. It is considered important to give Interprofessional Education (IPE) to students at pre-clinic and clinical stage in order to have a good understanding about roles of other health professionas. IPE is an interprofessional collaborative learning to support promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative and other approches related to health aspect. Perception is among the most important and highly needed skill in the implementation of IPE. This research aimed to determine the effect of IPE learning toward the perception among the students in Faculty of Medicine and Health Science of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (FMHS UMY). This is an observational study adopting a cross sectional design. The sample of students was collected through purposive sampling technique. A number of 94 students met the inclusion criteria, comprised of 21 students of Medical Profession Education, 25 of Dentistry Profession Education, 25 of Nursing Profession Education and 21 Undergraduate students of Pharmacy. Samples were given questionnaire of<em> Interdiciplinary Education Perception Scale</em>. Comparative test<em> </em>was done by<em> Kruskall-Wallis test.</em> From 94 students of FMHS, 75.5% had good perception toward IPE. No significant differences appeared in perception (p=0.285) among the students of FMHS UMY. The <em>Interprofessional Education</em> (IPE) had significant effects toward the perception among the students of FMHS UMY.

Pneumonia is one of very important global health problems among toddlers, especially in developing countries. Nowadays, pneumonia is one of largest causes of child mortality, especially in newborn period. In Aceh Province, pneumonia disease is the eighth of 25 biggest diseases found at primary health care with 112 cases, while pneumonia among outpatient sufferers in Aceh reached 434 cases (29.03%).This study aimed to determine factors related to incidence of pneumonia toddlers in Lambatee Village, Darul Kamal Subdistrict, Aceh Besar District. This study was analytical descriptive using cross-sectional design. Samples of study were mothers and toddlers amounted to 48 people. Data were collected on August 3rd – 14th, 2015 by interview, observation. Multivariate analysis used logistic regression. Results of study showed that the factor physical condition of house sanitation influenced to trend among toddlers suffering from pneumonia with p value 0.01< 0.05, the highest OR score 6.431 and 95% CI = 1.559 - 26.532. In conclusion, physical condition of house sanitation had six times risk of causing trend of pneumonia incidence among toddlers in Lambatee Village, Darul Kamal Subdistrict, Aceh Besar District.AbstrakPneumonia merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan global yang sangat penting pada anak bawah lima tahun (balita), khususnya pada negara-negara berkembang. Saat ini, pneumonia merupakan salah satu kasus penyebab kematian pada anak terbesar, terutama pada periode baru lahir. Di Provinsi Aceh, penyakit pneumonia merupakan penyakit urutan ke-8 dari 25 penyakit terbesar yang ditemukan di puskesmas dengan jumlah 1.112 kasus. Sedangkan besarnya kasus pneumonia pada penderita rawat jalan di Aceh mencapai 434 kasus (29,03%). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian pneumonia pada balita. Penelitian bersifat analitik dengan desain potong lintang. Sampel penelitian adalah ibu dan balita yang berjumlah 48 orang. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan tanggal 3 – 14 Agustus 2015 dengan wawancara dan observasi. Analisis multivariat menggunakan regresi logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor kondisi sanitasi rumah secara fisik berpengaruh terhadap kecendrungan balita menderita penyakit pneumonia dengan nilai p 0,01 < 0,05, dengan nilai OR tertinggi 6,431 dan CI 95% = 1.559 - 26.532. Disimpulkan bahwa kondisi sanitasi rumah secara fisik memiliki peluang enam kali menyebabkan terjadinya pneumonia pada balita di Desa Lambatee, Kecamatan Darul Kamal, Kabupaten Aceh Besar.
