Purifikasi ekstrak etanol 96% daun kelor dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kandungan zat aktif serta untuk memperoleh warna yang lebih menarik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui jenis pelarut dalam proses fraksinasi yang memberikan kandungan zat aktif lebih tinggi dibandingkan ekstrak. Penelitian ini diawali dengan maserasi daun kelor kering dengan etanol 96%. Filtrat yang telah di keringkan di atas waterbath kemudian di purifikasi. Purifikasi diawali dengan melarutkan ekstrak ke aquades panas dengan perbandingan 1:10, setelah itu ditambahkan etil asetat atau n-heksana sejumlah sama dengan aquades panas dalam corong pisah, dikocok hingga terjadi pemisahan fase. Fase etil asetat atau n-heksana diambil kemudian filtrat yang diperoleh digabungkan. Ekstrak etanol 96% (E1), fraksi etil asetat (E2) dan fraksi n-heksana (E3) kemudian dievaluasi dengan parameter organoleptis, % rendemen, total fenol, dan total flavonoid. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis statistik one way ANOVA dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil pengukuran terhadap E1, E2, dan E3 pada setiap parameter secara berturut-turut pada parameter rendemen adalah 15,81%; 22,18%; 20%, total fenol yaitu 28,94±0,54 mg GAE/g; 29,44 ± 0,93 mg GAE/g; 11,41±0,12 mg GAE/g, dan total flavonoid yaitu 3,19±0,13%; 9,92 ±0,06%; 5,81±0,18%. Secara organoleptis dari segi konsistensi, bau, dan rasa ketiganya adalah identik, sedangkan dari segi warna E2 lebih hijau kekuningan dan cerah, sehingga lebih menarik. Secara statistik, ada perbedaan bermakna di antara E1, E2, dan E3 pada total fenol dan flavonoid. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa E2 memiliki total fenol dan flavonoid lebih besar secara signifikan dibanding E1 dan E3.

Abstrak Kerusakan hati menjadi salah satu penyakit dengan prevalensi yang tinggi khususnya di negara berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat adanya efek ekstrak ethanol daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) terhadap proteksi fungsi hati dan histopatologi tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang diinduksi karbontetraklorida (ccl4). serta menentukan dosis efektif dari kombinasi tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental laboratorium menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain post test only control group pada tikus wistar. Tikus dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol positif (ekstrak kurkuma), kontrol pembanding (NaCMC 1%) dan 3 kelompok pemberian ekstrak dengan 3 variasi dosis masing-masing 250 mg/kgBB, 500 mg/kgBB dan 750 mg/kgBB. Dilakukan pengamatan terhadap uji profil kimia darah yang meliputi SGOT dan SGPT serta dilanjutkan dengan uji histopatologi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan perubahan hasil pengukuran darah fungsi hati (SGOT dan SGPT) antar kelompok selama 8 hari. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan perubahan hasil pengukuran profil kimia darah antar kelompok selama perlakuan. Berdasarkan hasil uji one way ANOVA pada pengukuran SGOT dan SGPT terdapat hasil tes bermakna (P<0,05). Hasil uji histopatologi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbaikan fungsi dan struktur hati pada kelompok pemberian ekstrak etanol daun kelor. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) memiliki kemampuan sebagai hepatoprotektor terhadap fungsi hati pada dosis 750 mg/kgBB. Abstract Liver damage is one of the diseases with high prevalence especially in developing countries. This study aims to see the effect of ethanol extract of Moringa oleifera leaves on liver function protection and histopathology of white rat (Rattus norvegicus) induced by carbontetrachloride (CCl4). and determine the effective dose of the combination. This research was conducted experimentally using a laboratory experimental method with a post test only control group design in wistar rats. Rats were divided into 5 groups, namely the positive control group (curkuma extract), comparative control (NaCMC 1%) and 3 groups giving extracts with 3 variations of each dose of 250 mg / kgBB, 500 mg / kgBB and 750 mg / kgBB. Observations were made on the blood chemistry profile test which included SGOT and SGPT and continued with histopathological testing. The results showed that there were differences in changes in the results of liver function blood measurements (SGOT and SGPT) between groups for 8 days. The results showed that there were differences in changes in the measurement results of blood chemistry profiles between groups during treatment. Based on the results of the one way ANOVA test on SGOT and SGPT measurements there were significant test results (P <0.05). The results of histopathological tests showed that there was an improvement in liver function and structure in the group given ethanol extract of kelor leaves. It can be concluded that the ethanol extract of Moringa oleifera leaves has the ability as a hepatoprotector of liver function at a dose of 750 mg / kgBB.

Tumbuhan Nipah (Nypa fruticans Wurmb.) merupakan tumbuhan suku Arecaceae yang tumbuh di lingkungan hutan yang bermanfaatsebagai obat sakit perut, diabetes dan obat penurun panas . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktifitas antioksidan serta total fenol dan total flavonoid dari Ekstrak Etanol Daun Nipah (Nypa fruticans Wurmb.). Penelitian ini meliputi penyiapan sampel, pemeriksaan karakteristik simplisia, pembuatan ekstrak dengan metode maserasi, dan pengujian aktivitas antioksidan dari ekstrak etanol daun nipah  dengan metode perangkapan radikal bebas menggunakan DPPH (1,1- difenil-2-pikrilhidrazil), pada panjang gelombang 515,50 nm,  dibandingkan  dengan vitamin C sebagai blanko positif, serta pengujian nilai kandungan total fenol ekstrak etanol daun nipah setara asam galat (Gallic Acid Equivalent (GAE)) dengan metode kolorimetri menggunakan reagen Folin-Ciocalteu pada panjang gelombang 775 nm dan pengukuran nilai kandungan total flavonoid ekstrak etanol daun nipah setara kuersetin (Quercetin Equivalent (QE)) dengan metode kolorimetri menggunkan aluminium klorida pada panjang gelombang 436,50 nm dengan menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Visibel. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan yang menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun nipah mempunyai aktivitas antioksidan yang sangat kuat dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 9,662 ppm serta nilai kandungan total fenol sebesar 85,51 mg/g GAE ekstrak dan nilai kandungan total flavonoid sebesar 12,49 mg/g QE ekstrak. Nipah plant (Nypa fruticans Wurmb.) Is a plant of the Arecaceae family that grows in a forest environment that is useful as a medicine for stomach pain, diabetes and febrifuge. This study aims to determine antioxidant activity, total phenol and total flavonoids from the Ethanol Extract of Nipah Leaves (N. fruticans). This study included the preparation of samples, checking the characteristics of simplicia, making extracts by maceration method, and testing the antioxidant activity of ethanol extract of Nipah leaves by using free radical scavenging method using DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-pikrilhidrazil), at a wavelength of 515.50 nm, compared with vitamin C as a positive blank, as well as testing the value of the total phenol content of ethanol extract of gallic leaf equivalent of gallic acid (Gallic Acid Equivalent (GAE)) using the colorimetric method using Folin-Ciocalteu reagent at a wavelength of 775 nm and measuring the value of total flavonoid content ethanol extract of Nipah leaves equivalent to quercetin (Quercetin Equivalent (QE)) by colorimetric method using aluminum chloride at a wavelength of 436.50 nm using UV-Spectrophotometry. Antioxidant activity test showed that the Nipah leaf ethanol extract had a very strong antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 9.662 ppm and a total phenol content of 85.51 mg / g GAE extract and a total flavonoid content of 12, 49 mg / g QE extract.

Moringa oleifera is an important medicinal plant, which contains a lot of bioactive compounds. The dried plant leaves were extracted in 70% methanol by maceration using shaker incubator at 40◦C. Chemical detection of bioactive compounds in crud plant extracts was performed. The total flavonoid was isolated from the extract using reflux, The use of thin layer chromatography technique that assisted  in the detection of Qurciten, Rutin and Luteoline of flavonoids isolated from the extract, the existence of qurciten and rutin confirmed by the use of high performance liquid chromatography technique.  The calculation of total flavonoid of M. oleifera leaf extracts by using Spectrophotometric technique was done.  The aglycon moiety was extracted by ethyl acetate, and then evaporated to dryness. The dried residue then redissolved in 50% ethanol.

Astract Muntingia calabura plant is a plant in Indonesia that has a variety of functions. It is used as a herbal ingredient to treat certain diseases and also as an antibacterial as well as natural antioxidants. Because inside the leaves there are various bioactive compound that can be used for the sake of herbal making. The purpose of this study is to do early screening of Muntingia calabura leaf extract using ethanol and aquos solvent. The method used in extraction is maceration exaction. The phytochemical analysis performed are total phenols, total flavonoids and antioxidants (IC50). The results showed a total phenol in the ethanol extract was 361.22 mg of GAE/g total flavonoids was 42.46 mg QE/g and antioxidant activity (IC50) was 131.22 μg/mL. At the aquos extract, total phenol was 267.61 mg of GAE/g, total flavonoids was 16.22 mg QE/g and antioxidant activity (IC50) was 129.31 μg/mL. By seeing the total phenol and antioxidants in both the extract (ethanol and aquos), the Muntingia calabura leaves have the potential to be used as herbal ingredients and antimicrobial agents.

Cinnamon plants (Cinnamomum burmani Blume), including plants that have medicinal properties for diabetes mellitus because they contain flavonoid compounds. This study aimed to determine the total flavonoids content of the ethanol extract of cinnamon leaf ethanol extract using UV-Vis spectrophotometry method. The ethanol extract of Cinnamon leaf was obtained by maceration using ethanol as a solvent.The qualitative analysis used FeCl3by forming yellowish green complex. The determination of total flavonoids content is conducted basedon AlCl3method with total flavonoidse xpressed in QE (Quercetin equivalent) at the maximum wavelength of 435 nm. The result showed that the average content of flavonoid total is 19.544 mg QE/g extract.

This research was conducted to identify simplicia microscopically, phytochemical screening and determination of total flavonoid content of extract and ethyl acetate fraction from Moringa (Moringa oleifera L.) leaves using UV-Visible Spectrophotometry method. The experimental design used in this study was to perform microscopic identification of Moringa leaf powder simplicia, make 96% and 70% ethanol extract and ethyl acetate fraction of Moringa leaves from 70% ethanol extract, then carry out phytochemical screening and determination of total flavonoid content with quercetin standards. Phytochemical screening on the ethyl acetate fraction of Moringa leaves included tests for the content of flavonoids, saponins, tannins and alkaloids. The results of microscopic identification of Moringa leaf simplicia showed the presence of calcium oxalate crystals in the form of rosettes, mesophyll and stomata. The result of determination of total flavonoid content in 96% ethanol extract was 16.69 ± 0.74% (w/w), 70% ethanol extract was 10.84 ± 0.49% (w/w), Moringa leaf ethyl acetate fraction 14 .45 ± 0.90% (w/w). The highest total flavonoid content was found in the 96% ethanol extract of Moringa leaves in accordance with the 2017 Indonesian Herbal Pharmacopoeia, that the thick extract of Moringa leaves containing no less than 6.30% (w/w) total flavonoids was calculated as quercetin.

Background: Testing or analysis of total flavonoid levels of herbal ethanolic extract of beluntas (Pluchea indica L.) leaves has been carried out. Beluntas leaf (Pluchea indica L.) is a traditional medicinal plant that is not widely known by the public about its benefits for various diseases.Objective: to determine an overview of total flavonoid levels between different of variation concentration.Method:Extraction of the compound of beluntas (Pluchea indica L.) leaves was carried out by maceration method using 100 mL of aquadest and 100 mL of ethanol - aquades mixture withethanol96% (v / v) concentrations, ethanol 70% (v / v), ethanol 50% (v / v), and ethanol 30% (v / v) for 24 hoursrespectively. Phytochemical screening continued with Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). While the measurement of the levels of flavonoid compounds in the sample was conducted out by the UV-Vis spectrophotometer methodResult:Phytochemical screening using TLC on beluntas (Pluchea indica L.) leaves is known to contain flavonoidsrespectively. The measurement results of total flavonoids in aquadest extract amounted to 1.94% (b / b), whereas in ethanol extract 96% -aquadest was 16.62% (b / b), ethanol extract - aquadest 70% by 33.80% (b / b), 50% ethanol - aquades was 30.29% (b / b) and 30% ethanol - aquades was 15.27% (b / b). The results of measurements of total flavonoid levels in beluntas (Pluchea indica L.) leaves stated that the highest total flavonoid content obtained in 70% ethanol extract was 33.80% (b / b), followed by 50% ethanol was 30.29% (b / b), 96% ethanol 16.62% (b / b), 30% ethanol was 15.27% (b / b), and 30% distilled water was 1, 94% (b / b).

The content of rutin, quercetin, total phenol, total flavonoid, antioxidant properties in ethanol extract of flour and hull from 13 tartary buckwheat cultivars widely grown in China was investigated. HPLC showed that the content of rutin ranged from 7.33 to 440.43 in flour and from 5.18 to 168.7 mg/g DW in hull. Trace quercetin were detected in both flour and hull extracts of all cultivars and the values were determined as 0.74-275.90 and 0.77-15.65 mg/g DW, respectively. The contents of total phenol/flavonoid in the flour were significantly greater than that in hull, and their content varied between samples. The result showed that JQ, QW, and NP are potential candidates for developing of functional food.
