The central problem of this research is the issue of the demographic bonus and the millennial generation whose impact can be an opportunity or a threat to the sustainability and progress of the development of the Indonesian nation. The purpose of this research is to find indicators of millennial character and behavior and to analyze the potential opportunities and threats. This study uses a qualitative overlay by using data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study conclude that the millennial generation has a unique character based on region and socio-economic conditions. One of the main characteristics of the millennial generation is that they are highly literate in digital technology, communicative, and multitasking. Because they were raised by technological advances, this generation has creative, informative, passionate and productive characteristics. If the distinctive characteristics of millennials are understood and facilitated optimally, it will be an opportunity for the development of productive human resources so that they will become the capital of nation building. On the other hand, the characteristics of the millennial generation will become a threat to national development if they are not understood and facilitated according to their potential and passion.

Today most foreign aid donors are genuinely committed to the idea that development in Third World countries should start with rural development. Therefore, a sizable proportion of their development funds are invested in rural projects. However, donors channel these funds through local governments (most often representing local bourgeois interests) that are not as committed to the principle of rural development. These governments are often also embarked in policies that are actually—directly or indirectly—expropriating the surpluses generated by agriculture and investing them in the other sectors of the economy. The peasants are therefore footing most of the bill of overall national development. This paper contends that, because of this state of affairs, foreign aid directed toward rural development is actually filling the investment gap left by an internal system of unequal returns to production in agriculture. In so doing, foreign aid is indirectly financing the development of the other sectors of the economy, even if this result is unintended. This perpetrates maldevelopment without redressing the basic exploitation process of peasants which lies at the core of underdevelopment. Evidence to support this hypothesis is presented using data from a primarily agricultural exporting country: the United Republic of Cameroon.

ABSTRACT Digital banking and the accountability of good zakat can increase interest in paying zakat on the benchmarking of sharia. On the other hand, technological advances such as the use of artificial intelligence make the role of human resources shifted. Even though human resources (labor) are one of the potential sources of zakat revenue. Zakat literacy and interest in paying zakat are also low in Islamic banking. The researcher did not find zakat data in statistical reports on Islamic banks nationally. It seems that it was only found in the presentation of reports about the sources and uses of private Islamic bank zakat funds. This can lead to the perception that Islamic banks do not optimally manage zakat. Through literature studies, researchers provide a solution to how zakat management can be done to increase interest in paying zakat but can still maintain the use of human resources (work). The conclusion obtained is that interest in paying zakat on Islamic banks cannot be maximally realized if it is not supported by internal efforts. Efforts that can be made are transparency of zakat reports, increased literacy, acceleration and optimization of digital management of Islamic bank zakat.

Many scholars accept the important role international organizations (IOs) play in facilitating cooperation among states in world politics, yet there is disagreement about the theoretical mechanisms that best account for the positive correlation between shared IO memberships and cooperation. Institutionalists and Rationalists treat state preferences as fixed and emphasize the influence of IO memberships on interstate bargaining. In this view, IOs act as constraints, because while they help states negotiate more efficiently (with fewer costs & greater information), they do not significantly alter states’ preferences. Constructivists, on the other hand, recognize that organizations can alter member states’ identities and interests, and that long and deep commitments to international organizations can have constitutive effects on member states’ preferences and behavior. In this paper, I derive several hypotheses about the constraining and constitutive effects of IOs on member state behavior from existing theoretical arguments in the IR literature and evaluate these claims empirically using data on contentious issues from the Issue Correlates of War Project. Empirical analyses show that while shared IO memberships (frequency and duration) neither prevent the onset of new contentious issues nor promote more frequent peaceful settlement attempts, they do decrease the use of militarized force and produce more successful negotiation attempts. Disputants are much more likely to reach and comply with agreements to end contentious issue claims when they share more frequent and durable memberships in international organizations.

ABSTRACTThe technological advances and the development of the digital image have allowed the latest cinema to approach comic as it never did before. With the new digital tools, filmmakers who didn’t found before the right way to emulate on screen the language of comics, have found new expressing possibilities for the cinematographic image. Thanks to the digital technology, the film frames find meeting points with the comic frames through the acceleration, deceleration and the freezing of the image, among other resources. Qualitative research and content analysis will be used in this essay to study the different ways in which cinema, with the complicity of the latest technological advances, comes closer to the comic frames, trying to reach its capacity of synthesis and overcoming the grammatical differences that exist between one media and the other. For such purpose, there will be studied the acceleration and deceleration of the image in the films “300” (2006) and “Watchmen” (2009), both directed by Zack Snyder and both based upon best-sellers graphic novels signed by two major comic authors: Frank Miller and Alan MooreRESUMENLos últimos avances tecnológicos y el desarrollo de la imagen digital han permitido al cine de los últimos tiempos aproximarse al cómic como nunca antes lo había hecho.

Teachers are the intermediaries who deliver the relay sticks of Indonesian progress to the millennial generation of the 21st century. The progress of the nation can be obtained by qualified human resources (HR). Human resources (HR) can be obtained if education in the country is adequate and organized. The role of teachers, in general, is as an educational task, including educating, teaching, and training. In technological advances, many learning media can be obtained quickly, but the role of teachers remains irreplaceable. The book Visible Learning by researcher John Hattie (2013) mentions that one of the five determining factors of student success in achieving achievement is the role of teachers. The magnitude of the role of the teacher shows that the quality possessed by a teacher must be equal. The professionalism of teachers is assessed from various aspects, one of which is the attitude of a teacher when teaching. The attitude of a professional teacher reflects the values contained in Pancasila. Pancasila is still the most appropriate philosophy and paradigm both in reality and ideologically to control Indonesia. This book aims to show the sides of qualified and professional teachers to become outstanding teachers for millennials in the global age. Based on the title and the purpose, the author shows that teachers in Indonesia can become professionals in the millennial generation. The teacher in question starts from kindergarten to upper secondary level. So this book will be helpful for teachers and prospective teachers at any level who want to increase their potential. In this book, the author conveys several new things, including the character that teachers must-have in the era of disruption and the industrial era 4.0. Then, the author also showed the paradigm of Multidimensional and multicultural Indonesian Education. This new information and sciences are indeed beneficial for readers.

Basically a natural partnership will achieve its goal if mutual requirements, mutual reinforcement, and mutual benefit can be maintained and made a strong fundamental commitment among partners. Nevertheless the development seems very slow. The cause is the presence of specific and different conditions and structure factors compared to other countries. Along with that, we still encounter various forms of gaps, such as inequality among regions, among income groups, between sectors, among economic actors, and so forth. The next problem is that in business entities including cooperatives and micro and small enterprises in running their business activities requires business partnerships with medium and large enterprises in order to improve business performance and business scale. While on the other hand our economic conditions and structures are not yet fully conducive to fostering partnerships based on purely business considerations or competitive market motivations but the business partnership of the foundation is strong enough in our country's constitution. Partnerships will work if partners are equally benefiting. Our concept of partnership is like that, although in the short term, there is a party or a party benefiting more from the other side.

Character education is a vital instrument in determining the progress of a nation. Therefore the government needs to build educational institutions in order to produce good human resources that are ready to oversee and deliver the nation at a progressive level. It’s just that in reality, national education is not in line with the ideals of national education because the output is not in tune with moral values on the one hand and the potential for individuals to compete in world intellectual order on the other hand. Therefore, as a solution to these problems is the need for the applicationof character education from an early age.
