The COVID-19 pandemic has changed all aspects of life and learning in the world and in Ukraine. Quarantine restrictions made it impossible to conduct the educational process in medical universities by traditional methods (oral and written questioning, testing, attending lectures, participation in clinical trials and operations), which led to the restructuring of the educational process and the transition to distance learning. The aim of the work was to highlight the features of the organization of distance learning in higher medical institutions of Ukraine during the pandemic on the example of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. Learning management systems (LMSs) use the online learning platform Moodle to effectively conduct distance learning. Due to the dynamism, modularity, flexibility of this platform, students have continuous access to educational materials, undergo current and final test control of the level of knowledge acquisition and preparation for the exam Step-1, Step-2. The online service Microsoft Teams allows teachers and students to communicate in real time, conduct video lectures, discussions, surveys, control of students’ self-preparation, increase the motivational component of training by creating creative questions in Forms, running marathons and others. A high-quality distance learning process requires its digitization and informatization, teamwork of teachers and students, changing the role of the teacher as a mentor and coordinator, increasing the motivational component by introducing creative approaches to learning.

Pursuing the goal of improving the quality of professional training of future specialists in higher pharmaceutical education is a current trend in Ukraine, which seems to determine the effectiveness of pharmaceutical services as a component of medical reform. A study of best practices of the organization of independent work of the future pharmacists in Organic Chemistry run at Bohomolets National Medical University, National Pirogov Memorial Medical University (Vinnytsya), Odessa National Medical University, I. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University, National University of Pharmacy and revealed that distance learning is commonly used there as the form of organisation and implementation of educational process. The examination of the web-sites of M(P)HEIs of Ukraine made it possible to find out that the key specifics of the organization of independent work of students of pharmaceutical faculties in Organic Chemistry through distance learning is the use of the MOODLE system. Its selection is supported by the fact it that MOODLE meets the main requirements for its implementation and using in the higher education process. It is reliable in operation, easy to use and manage the educational process (including the organization of independent work of students), and characterised by modularity, compatibility, safety. In addition, the MOODLE system has the reasonable price of software, maintenance and hardware.

The article highlights the level of interest and motives of students of Donetsk National Medical University in physical education and sports. A wide range of factors that hinder exercise and a healthy lifestyle have been identified. Students' health was analyzed. The obtained results prove the importance of increasing students' motivation to take physical education classes. The problem of the functioning of physical education in higher education is an integral part of the formation of the general and professional culture of the personality of the modern specialist, the system of humanistic education of students. The modern problem of building the process of physical education at the university is the formation of students' interest in the subject of "Physical Education". In physical education, the problem of motivation for exercise is still insufficiently studied, in practice there are no specific recommendations and developments. The applied (ie practical) importance of physical training of student youth for successful study and work is an integral component and essential property of physical education of each individual as a pedagogical process. The main goal of reforming the system of physical education should be to improve human health, taking into account its needs, motives, interests. Therefore, in order to implement state measures, it is necessary to find out the factors that will help increase the motivation of students to exercise and play sports. The study of students' motivation determines their attitude to the formation of their personal health in medical universities, which is largely associated with self-improvement of the individual and his recovery by increasing the level of physical activity by means of physical culture. Due to the low motivation of physical education among modern students there is a need to find ways to increase this motivation and highlight the experience of its implementation in the educational process of the medical university, which determines the relevance of our study. Based on the above, we conducted a pedagogical study. With the help of pedagogical methods of questioning and testing, the positive motivation of students to exercise was traced. The purpose of the questionnaire was to explain students' views on personal health, attitudes towards the subject of "Physical Education" and interest in innovative forms and content of physical education classes. The questionnaire also asked questions to identify students' motivations for physical education, their impact on maintaining and promoting personal health. The questionnaire contained semi-closed questions, which allowed respondents to choose from the presented answers and express their own point of view on a particular question. Based on a survey of medical students in the search phase (formative) experiment, we found that the level of positive motivation of first and second year students of medical and dental faculties of Donetsk National Medical University by means of improving personal health by means of physical education averaged 10, 11% . Yes, 60% of respondents have a high level; 36.2% - average and 3.8% of respondents have a low level of positive motivation of students to strengthen personal health by means of physical culture after the introduction of game and competitive teaching methods. The index of student satisfaction with our proposed method is 95%. Such significant changes testify to the cognitive motivation of students in medical institutions, interest in the educational process, the desire to attend academic classes and stable adaptation to the university. Thus, the formation of positive motivation in student youth to actively support personal health throughout life, through physical culture and sports is one of the ways that can to some extent ensure their healthy lifestyle.

The article describes the difficulties of transition to distance learning (DL) at a medical university when students pass clinical disciplines, using the example of the subject of "psychiatry". The negative impact of the pandemic on international cooperation in the field of education and science was also noted, in particular, attracting foreign students to further education. Based on the above, the following tasks were set: to study the features of the transition to distance learning the subject of "psychiatry" at the Odessa National Medical University, to identify the features of distance work with English-speaking foreign students during their learning of this discipline and to present proposals for optimizing this process. During the transition to DL, a significant decrease in the quality of education was noticed during the absence of an existing learning management system, since this transition was a certain stress for all participants in the educational process, both students and teachers. Significant problems have arisen in the DL of clinical disciplines for English-speaking students. The greatest difficulty is the teaching of psychiatry, since it is difficult to explain to students in English not only the description of psychopathological symptoms and syndromes, but also the mental characteristics of people with other nationalities. It is proposed to use movies, with the main heroes suffering from mental disorders, as a thematic guide for mastering practical skills. Although some of the positive aspects of DL have been noted by medical students, they agree to DL only as a forced short-term measure.

The educational process in Ukraine, that is undergoing reform due to the introduction of the European Credit Transfer System, requires the improvement of the basic forms of education, namely lectures. This is due to the dynamic development of scientific advances in medicine, the appearance of innovative technologies, the growth of requirements for the formation of a competitive specialist, a doctor who constantly needs to improve his/her knowledge and practical skills in particular. The questionnaire of student audience helps clarify the advantages and disadvantages of the teaching material presented during the lecture and the level of mastering the key moments of the lecture by students. We present the results of a questionnaire of students about the lecture delivered at the Department of Cinical Anatomy and Operative Surgery.

Distance learning (DL) is a completely new and unique form of education, which got forced to switch to by the current pandemic of coronavirus disease. Note that until now, distance learning technologies have been used at the department of general and clinical pathological physiology and some other departments of the Odessa National Medical University (ONMedU). The aim of this analytical article is to analyze the efficacy of ONMedU General and Clinical Pathological Physiology Department staff during the one and a half year period of the coronavirus infection pandemic with an accent to psychological approach to students modified teaching. The urgent need of time and the primary desire to protect students and their own lives during 2020-2021 requires us to improve our own pedagogical approaches in the further on-line teaching of students. We see success in systematic methodological work with students, the implementation of which will make it possible to evoke and increase their motivation to study histology. The importance of this methodological technique, supported in the senior years of medical universities by the integration of teaching theoretical and clinical disciplines, the approximation of teaching to specific clinical cases will help optimize the assimilation of morphological knowledge by students at least and, undoubtedly, in the near future will lead to a better assimilation of clinical disciplines. In connection with the ideas of individualized and developmental learning, the use of psychological capabilities of learning tools in the virtual environment brings both pedagogy and psychology to a new level of understanding the mediation of mental, creative, communicative and executive learning and learning activities. The use of distance learning helps the students to acquire skills of independent work, creates comfortable conditions for creativity, increases the creative and intellectual potential of the student through self-organization, the ability to interact with computer technology and make responsible decisions, creates favorable conditions for individual creative expression in the process of learning, for the development of the student's personality. The authors are convinced that the optimization and improvement of the educational process in medical universities is to draw students' attention to the problems that the medical community is dealing with on a daily basis today.

The article is devoted to the study of some aspects of teaching students with health limitations and disabilities in a medical university. Currently, in Russia and around the world, inclusive and integrated education continues to develop, elements of which can be found in medical universities. At the same time, a complete transition to an inclusive education of medical students is impossible for a number of reasons, at the head of which are certain requirements for the future physician, who must have a certain amount of health, not only physical, but also mental. Unfortunately, not enough research is devoted to the aspects of teaching students with health limitations and disabilities in medical universities – the study of which became the purpose of the presented work. The objects of the research conducted from 2018 to 2021 at the N.N. Burdenko, 30 medical students served, divided in-to 3 groups of 10 people, depending on the etiology of their pathology. So, 1st group consisted of students with insignificant disabilities. The 2nd group included students with disabilities established from their birth or childhood. The 3rd group consisted of future physicians whose disability was established during their studies at a university (often as a result of an accident). In the work, the sex and age composition of the subjects was determined, the ratio of students to existing faculties was studied, the pathology most often encountered in persons with disabilities and disabilities was studied, the attitude of others to the respondents was deter-mined, as well as their own opinion regarding various aspects of the educational process at a medical university. The work is of interest for the staff of the departments of a medical university who are related to working with students with health limitations or disabilities.
