The article examines the problems of constructivist understanding of education, the innovations, opportunities and limitations that the constructivist model of the pedagogical process offers. The aim of the work was to analyze the constructivist model of education and those innovations and prospects for understanding the modern educational process that the constructivist approach brings. Constructivism changes the view of teachers and other scientists and practitioners in their view of what is happening in the relations of people in education. Due to its controversial nature, the development of the ideas of constructivism in the context of the development of educational ideologies and technologies leads to the reconceptualization of the traditional model of education, and the constructionist model of education itself can and should become the object of systematic methodological, theoretical, empirical and applied research. Any of the educational approaches available now can be disclosed as an example of a constructivist model of education, the leading features of which are the dialogic nature of education, the focus on understanding the inner and outer world in dialogue with significant other people, the consideration of such a dialogue as a process of building a person's own life world and himself, as a creative "rediscovery" of the basic truths of human existence, as the adoption of socially and personally significant decisions in a situation of educational, professional, life choice.

The relevance of the article is determined by the need to strengthen the developing capabilities and creative orientation of activity in the system of additional education of children. The purpose of the article is to test the ideas related to the justification and implementation of psycho-pedagogical conditions that contribute to involving students in productive and creative activity and developing their artistic productive and creative competence in the educational process of children’s art school. The authors characterize the level of components of the competence and substantiate the program of its development. To prove the effectiveness of the program implementation and the created conditions, changes in the competence of students were compared. In the experimental group, the significance of the shift in the quantitative data of the level of the competence components was proved using the criterion of signs G for all the estimated parameters: Gemf. < Gcr.at p < 0,01. No significant changes were found in the control group. The article summarizes the general and differentiated psycho-pedagogical conditions for involving students of the experimental group in productive and creative activity, approaches to the creation of which can be used in applied research and in the educational process.

Objectives To derive improved understanding of the implicit meanings of challenges in daily life from the perspective of persons with type 2 diabetes. Methods A meta-synthesis was conducted with an interpretive and constructivist approach. Four databases were searched for articles published between 2007 and 2011, producing 37 articles for analysis. Van Deurzen’s life world theory was applied as an analytic grid. Results Challenges in daily life with type 2 diabetes could be understood as living in a tension between opposing forces, implying a struggle with inevitable paradoxes: living in the present and for the future, trusting oneself while relying on others, and being normal while feeling changed and different. Discussion This synthesis adds knowledge to previous understanding of living with type 2 diabetes, revealing the complexity of daily life when struggling with a lifelong illness. Person-centred care could be used to understand what challenges diabetes may cause in family and working life and the ambivalent feelings the illness can lead to. Future research is needed to implement and evaluate a person-centred care in practice. Since new qualitative research is continuously added to this topic, metasyntheses should be undertaken regularly.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to support the management of organizational knowledge retention through a multi-criteria decision aiding–constructivist model. Design/methodology/approach This exploratory and descriptive case study presents a decision support model guided by the constructivist approach and proactive in its operationalization. Findings The objectives and concerns of decision-makers regarding the retention of organizational knowledge are identified and organized into six strategic areas of concern, namely, recognition, knowledge dissemination, organizational culture, succession of professionals, management of vulnerability origins and knowledge management; a multi-criteria model is constructed and operationalized by a cluster of cardinal scales, showing and measuring the status quo of the performance profile, both in a local and global way, to support the management of the organization's knowledge retention; activities are classified into three performance levels (compromising, competitive and excellent), supported by graphical and numerical evidence; and the process to generate actions to improve the performance of critical activities and create the conditions to maximize the results of the organization is illustrated. Practical implications Based on the model, decision-makers are now aware of the essential aspects to support knowledge retention management, enabling them to monitor the current situation and proactively respond to ensure that the current knowledge potential is maintained and exploited. Originality/value Use of a constructivist approach to support the management of knowledge retention, incorporating into the model the specifics of the context and the values of its managers, and thus giving it legitimacy.

"We are all going through a difficult period, called into question by so many questions: the COVID 19 pandemic. Without a doubt, this pandemic has had and still has many implications both in the personal life of each of us and in our professional life. In addition to the fact that this virus affects our health, professional life has also been put to the test. The education system was not bypassed by challenges, therefore this period proved to be extremely demanding, with many implications on the instructive-educational activity. Preschool education has not been exempted from the impact of the changes that have occurred as a result of the outbreak of the pandemic. Teachers in the preschool education system have faced many difficulties in terms of teaching in the group. Today, more than ever, we are aware of the essential role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in extreme situations. These have facilitated (more or less) our access to further education in the harsh conditions of the „Covid-19” pandemic. Through information technologies, it has been possible to achieve distance learning, the emphasis being on the constructivist model of learning, the active involvement of the student, the involvement of parents, the cooperation of all educational actors. Changing teaching strategies to achieve a qualitative educational process is a priority and requires sustained effort from all communities to develop the connection between learning and life. This article addresses issues regarding the application of active-participatory teaching strategies, information technologies for distance learning, ensuring the realization of the concept of life-long learning, based on technology. Examples of good practice are also presented.
