An interferometric self-calibration method for the evaluation of the pitch deviation of scale grating has been extended to evaluate the pitch deviation of the long-range type linear scale by utilizing the stitching interferometry technique. Following the previous work, in which the interferometric self-calibration method was proposed to assess the pitch deviation of the scale grating by combing the first-order diffracted beams from the grating, a stitching calibration method is proposed to enlarge the measurement range. Theoretical analysis is performed to realize the X-directional pitch deviation calibration of the long-range linear scale while reducing the second-order accumulation effect by canceling the influence of the reference flat error in the sub-apertures’ measurements. In this paper, the stitching interferometry theory is briefly reviewed, and theoretical equations of the X-directional pitch deviation stitching are derived for evaluation of the pitch deviation of the long-range linear scale. Followed by the simulation verification, some experiments with a linear scale of 105 mm length from a commercial interferential scanning-type optical encoder are conducted to verify the feasibility of the self-calibration stitching method for the calibration of the X-directional pitch deviation of the linear scale over its whole area.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to identify the range, type and outcomes of technological innovations aimed at supporting older people to maintain their independence within the context of integrated care at home. We also discuss key emergent themes relevant to the use of person-centred technology for older people in integrated care and propose recommendations for policy and practice.Design/methodology/approachAn integrative review methodology was used to identify and describe recent scientific publications in four stages: problem identification, literature search, data evaluation and data analysis.FindingsTwelve studies were included in the review. Three studies described remote consultations, particularly telemedicine; five studies described tools to support self-management; three studies described the use of healthcare management tools, and one study described both remote consultation and self-care management. Emergent themes were: acceptability, accessibility and use of digital technologies; co-ordination and integration of services; the implementation of digital technologies; and safety and governance. Several recommendations are proposed relevant to integrated care teams, technology developers and researchers.Originality/valueThis review uniquely considers the extent to which novel digital technologies used in integrated care for older people are person-centred.

Abstract Background In clinical diagnosis, the maximum motion of a cervical joint is thought to be found at the joint’s end-range and it is this perception that forms the basis for the interpretation of flexion/extension imaging studies. There have however, been representative cases of joints producing their maximum motion before end-range, but this phenomenon is yet to be quantified. Purpose To provide a quantitative assessment of the difference between maximum joint motion and joint end-range in healthy subjects. Secondarily to classify joints into type based on their motion and to assess the proportions of these joint types. Study design This is an observational study. Subject sample Thirty-three healthy subjects participated in the study. Outcome measures Maximum motion, end-range motion and surplus motion (the difference between maximum motion and end-range) in degrees were extracted from each cervical joint. Methods Thirty-three subjects performed one flexion and one extension motion excursion under video fluoroscopy. The motion excursions were divided into 10% epochs, from which maximum motion, end-range and surplus motion were extracted. Surplus motion was then assessed in quartiles and joints were classified into type according to end-range. Results For flexion 48.9% and for extension 47.2% of joints produced maximum motion before joint end-range (type S). For flexion 45.9% and for extension 46.8% of joints produced maximum motion at joint end-range (type C). For flexion 5.2% of joints and for extension 6.1% of joints concluded their motion anti-directionally (type A). Significant differences were found for C2/C3 (P = 0.000), C3/C4 (P = 0.001) and C4/C5 (P = 0.005) in flexion and C1/C2 (P = 0.004), C3/C4 (P = 0.013) and C6/C7 (P = 0.013) in extension when comparing the joint end- range of type C and type S. The average pro-directional (motion in the direction of neck motion) surplus motion was 2.41° ± 2.12° with a range of (0.07° -14.23°) for flexion and 2.02° ± 1.70° with a range of (0.04°-6.97°) for extension. Conclusion This is the first study to categorise joints by type of motion. It cannot be assumed that end-range is a demonstration of a joint’s maximum motion, as type S constituted approximately half of the joints analysed in this study.

Many factors influence the selection of expedition services, such as the length of delivery, the price offered to the services provided. At first the company chose the expedition service partner based solely on customs, but often there were obstacles such as unsatisfactory service, less neat packing of goods, high prices and so forth. The impact is the customer's disappointment with the service we provide.In selecting the best expedition services, a mechanism is needed to deliver the goods that are truly feasible. One of them can be done by using a decision support system with the topsis method. Where the TOPSIS method has a simple and easy-to-understand concept and has the ability to measure the relative performance of decision alternatives in a simple mathematical form. The criteria used in this study include price, service, delivery time, range, type of fleet and company experience, while alternative options for expedition services are Ezra Cargo, Sentral Cargo, Dakota Cargo, Indah Logistik Cargo, Run Logistics, Trans Java Sumatra. The results of calculations using the Topsis method can be said that, the selection of the best expeditionary services is Central Cargo with first place with a value of 0,8887, then followed by Indah Logistik Cargo with second place with a value of 0,5866, and third place is Ezra Cargo with a value of 0,5444. Thus, Central Cargo is the best solution in the selection of expedition services at PT. Tachimita Hoka Utama.

AbstractOur field-based geochemical studies of the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous granitoids on Hainan Island indicate that their magmas had different geochemical affinities, changing from alkaline in the Triassic through ocean island basalt (OIB) in the Jurassic, to calc-alkaline in the Cretaceous. We show that these changes in the geochemical affinities of the Mesozoic granitoids on Hainan and in SE China reflect different melt sources and melt evolution patterns through time. Our new geodynamic model suggests that: (1) Triassic geology was controlled by flat-slab subduction of the palaeo-Pacific plate beneath SE China. This slab dynamics resulted in strong coupling between the lower and upper plates, causing push-over tectonics and contractional deformation in SE China. Flat subduction-induced edge flow and aesthenospheric uprising led to the production of high-K granites, syenites and mafic rocks. (2) Slab foundering, accelerated subduction rates and subduction hinge retreat in the Early Jurassic caused rapid rollback of the downgoing slab. Strong decoupling of the upper and lower plates resulted in pull-away tectonics, producing extensional deformation in SE China. Decompression melting of the upwelling aesthenosphere produced OIB-type melts, which interacted with the subcontinental lithospheric mantle (SCLM) to form A- and I-type granitoids. (3) Segmentation of the palaeo-Pacific plate in the Early Cretaceous resulted in steeply dipping slabs and their faster rollback, facilitating lithospheric-scale extension and oceanward migration of calc-alkaline magmatism. This extensional deformation played a significant role in the formation of metamorphic core complexes, widespread crustal melting and development of a Basin and Range-type tectonics and landscape evolution in SE China.

The Hanjiang River Basin (HJRB) is an important source area for drinking water in Hubei Province, China, and the vegetation coverage there is important to the ecological system. Due to the spatial heterogeneity and synergistic effect of various factors, it is very difficult to identify the main factors affecting vegetation growth in the HJRB. With the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) data from 2001 to 2018 in the HJRB, the spatiotemporal patterns of NDVI and the influences of natural factors and human activities on NDVI were investigated and quantified based on the Mann-Kendall (M-K) test, partial correlation analysis, and Geographical Detector. The individual factors and their interactions and the range/type of factor attributes suitable for vegetation growth were also examined. NDVI in the HJRB increased from 2001 to 2018, and the variation rate was 0.0046 year−1. NDVI was increasing in 81.17% of the area (p < 0.05). Elevation and slope can effectively explain the vegetation distribution. The interactions of factors on NDVI were significant, and the interactions of the elevation and precipitation can maximize the impact among all factors. The range of available landforms is thought to be highly conducive to vegetation growth. The rates of the annual precipitation and annual mean temperature changed from 2001 to 2018, which were 3.665 mm/year and 0.017 °C/year, and the regions where NDVI positively correlated with them were over 85%. Contrary to the general trend, NDVI has obviously decreased in urban areas since 2010. The quantitative findings of this study can help us better understand the effects of various factors on vegetation growth and provide appropriate suggestions for vegetation protection and restoration in the HJRB.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence and distribution of pulp stones in a group of Peruvian adults using cone beam tomography (CBCT). Materials and methods: 60 randomly selected CBCT from a tomographic center in Lima, Peru were analyzed. A total of 1263 images of teeth using the Point 3D Combi 500 S tomograph were evaluated. Images analysis was performed with Real Scan software and all teeth were evaluated in sagittal, axial and coronal views. All measurements were subjected to a chi square test. (p<0.05). Results: Of the 1263 teeth, 30.8% presented pulp calcifications through the CBCT. The prevalence of calcifications was higher in women than in men. The maxillary and mandibular molars were the groups of teeth with the highest frequency of pulp stones. There was significance between the pulp stones and the gender, age range, type and state of the tooth. Conclusions: The maxillary first molars had a higher prevalence of pulp calcifications than the mandibular ones. The presence of caries increased the possibility of the appearance of these calcifications, specifically in the maxillary teeth. CBCT could be a sensitive tool to detect pulp stones. Knowledge of the distribution of pulp stones can help dentists in the clinical treatment of endodontics.

Profil darah memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam fisiologi metabolisme dan aktifitas tubuh hewan. Kuala Tambangan memiliki banyak potensi sumber daya ikan salah satunya ikan gelodok. Ikan gelodok di kawasan ini mudah ditemukan, akan tetapi sampai sekarang belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik oleh masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui profil darah ikan gelodok jenis Periophthalmodon schlosseri dan Boleophthalamus boddarti pada ekosistem mangrove yang berada di desa Kuala Tambangan, Kabupaten Tanah Laut, Kalimantan Selatan. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode penangkapan hewan langka yaitu line transek, metode hemositometer dan metode sahli parameter yang dihitung hemoglobin, eritrosit, leukosit, hematokrit, MCV (Mean Corpusculla Volume), MCH (Mean Cell Hemoglobin), MCHC (Mean Cell Hemoglobin Concentration) pada 2 jenis ikan gelodok 34 ekor P. schlosseri dan 34 ekor B. boddarti. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah eritrosit P. schlosseri 3,87±0,58 x 106 sel/μL; B. boddarti 3,78±0,73 x 106 sel/μL 2 jenis ikan gelodok ini memiliki nilai eritrosit diatas batas normal; leukosit P. schlosseri 11,91±5,61 x103 sel/μL dan B. boddartii 9,72±4,24 x103 sel/μL nilai leukosit pada 2 jenis ikan gelodok ini berada di atas batas normal; hemoglobin P. schlosseri 11,59±1,75 % dan B. boddartii 11,75±1,96 % dari hasil yang didapat kadar hemoglobin pada 2 jenis ikan gelodok ini berada di atas batas normal kadar hemoglobin ikan pada umumnya; hematokrit P. schlosseri 34,32±5,57 % dan B. boddartii 35,71±5,44 % hasil hematokrit yang didapat dari 2 jenis ikan gelodok ini yaitu di atas batas normal; jenis P. schlosseri memiliki nilai MCV 88,72±6,62 μm3 yang berada di bawah batas normal; MCH 29,92±0,69 pg/sel yang berada di bawah batas normal; MCHC 33,99±3,97 g/dL pada jenis ini nilai MCHC masih berada pada batas normal; jenis B. boddartii memiliki nilai MCV 96,16±17,96 μm3 yang berada di bawah batas normal; MCH 31,51±5,50 pg/sel yang masih berada di batas normal; MCHC 32,87±1,77 g/dL nilai MCHC pada jenis ini masih berada pada batas normal. Blood profile has a very important role in the physiology of metabolism and animal body activities. Kuala Tambangan has a lot of potential fish resources, one of which is the fish Mudskipper. Mudskipper fish in this area are easy to find, but until now it has not been utilized properly by the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the blood profile of the Periophthalmodon Schlosseri and Boleophthalamus boddarti fish species in the mangrove ecosystem in the village of Kuala Tambangan, Tanah Laut District, South Kalimantan . The method used in this study is the method of catching endangered animals namely trasnek line, hemocytometer method and parameter Sahli method which is calculated hemoglobin, erythrocytes, leukocytes, hematocrit, MCV (Mean Corpuscular Volume), MCH (Mean Cell Hemoglobin), MCHC (Mean Cell Hemoglobin Concentration) on 2 types of fish, 34 Periophthalmodon schlosseri and 34 Boleophthalmus boddarti. The results obtained were P. schlosseri erythrocytes 3.87 ± 0.58 x 106 cells / μL; B. boddarti 3.78 ± 0.73 x 106 cells / μL 2 types of fish Mudskipper has erythrocyte values above the normal limit; P. schlosseri leukocytes 11.91 ± 5.61 x103 cells / μL and B. boddartii 9.72 ± 4.24 x103 cells / μL leukocyte values in these 2 types of jagged fish are above normal limits; hemoglobin P. schlosseri 11.59 ± 1.75 % and B. boddartii 11.75 ± 1.96 % from the results obtained by the hemoglobin levels in these 2 types of fishes are above the normal limit of fish hemoglobin levels in general; hematocrit P.schlosseri 34.32 ± 5.57 % and B. boddartii 35.71 ± 5.44 % hematocrit results obtained from these 2 types of mudskipper fish are above normal limits; P.schlosseri species had MCV values of 88.72 ± 6.62 μm3 which were below normal limits; MCH 29.92 ± 0.69 pg / cell that is below the normal range; MCHC 33.99 ± 3.97 g / dL in this type the MCHC value is still in the normal range; type B. boddartii has a MCV value of 96.16 ± 17.96 μm3 which is below normal limits; MCH 31,51 ± 5.50 pg / cell which is still in the normal range; MCHC 32.87 ± 1.77 g / dL MCHC values in this type are still within normal limits.Keywords: gelodok, blood, kuala tambangan

ResultsFor flexion 48.9% and for extension 47.2% of joints produced maximum motion before end-range (type Surplus). For flexion 45.9% and for extension 46.8% of joints produced maximum motion at end-range (type Classic) and 5.2% of joints in flexion and 6.1% of joints in extension concluded their motion anti-directionally (type Anti-directional). Mann-Whitney U tests produced significant results for C2/C3, C3/C4 and C4/C5 in flexion and C1/C2, C3/C4 and C6/C7 in extension when comparing end- range motion for type Classic and type Surplus. The average contributions to cervical range-of-motion (ROM) (C0 to C7) for flexion and extension were 60.23֯ and 67.86֯ for type Classic and 42.22֯ and 49.05֯ for type Surplus respectively. Thus, the average contribution to cervical ROM was larger for type Classic than for type Surplus. The average pro-directional surplus motion was 2.41֯ ± 2.12֯ with a range of range (0.07֯ -14.23֯) for flexion and 2.02֯ ± 1.70֯ with a range of 0.04°-6.97° for extension.ConclusionThis is the first study to categorise joints by type of motion. Type Surplus constituted approximately half of the joints analysed in this study. Therefore, end-range motion cannot be assumed to be a demonstration of a joint´s maximum motion.

BackgroundThis study highlights changing disagreement between census and death record information in the reporting of the education of the deceased and shows how these reporting differences influence a range of mortality inequality estimates.MethodsThis study uses a census-linked mortality data set for Estonia for the periods 2000–2003 and 2012–2015. The information on the education of the deceased was drawn from both the censuses and death records. Range-type, Gini-type and regression-based measures were applied to measure absolute and relative mortality inequality according to the two types of data on the education of the deceased.ResultsThe study found a small effect of the numerator–denominator bias on unlinked mortality estimates for the period 2000–2003. The effect of this bias became sizeable in the period 2012–2015: in high education group, mortality was overestimated by 23–28%, whereas the middle education group showed notable underestimation of mortality. The same effect was small for the lowest education group. These biases led to substantial distortions in range-type inequality measures, whereas unlinked and linked Gini-type measures showed somewhat closer agreement.ConclusionsThe changing distortions in the unlinked estimates reported in this study warn that this type of evidence cannot be readily used for monitoring changes in mortality inequalities.
