AbstractWhereas in this modern era the Needs of superior human resource that areintelligent and religious is incrising. Islamic boarding schools as one of theoldest educational institutions in Indonesia has produced religious humanfigures, on the other hand Islamic higher education as a modern educationalinstitution gives a pattern in the embodiment of intelligent human beings.Unfortunately, the two biggest educational potentials owned by the majorityNahdlatulUlama organization are still independent, it hasn't synchronizedproperly yet. Character education is a vital instrument in determining the progress of a nation. Therefore the government needs to build educational institutions in order to produce good human resources that are ready to oversee and deliver the nation at a progressive level. It’s just that in reality, national education is not in line with the ideals of national education because the output is not in tune with moral values on the one hand and the potential for individuals to compete in world intellectual order on the other hand. Therefore, as a solution to these problems is the need for the applicationof character education from an early age.

Madrasah as part of educational institution that appear in Indonesia, that madrasah has been long participated in improving human resources and educating life of the Indonesian people. The other hand madrasah is madrasah diniyah.  As part of Islamic educational institutions, madrasas diniyah also manages several things that related to the educational components such as the management of student or learner. This research used the descriptive-qualitative of paradigm approach. The results of the research showed that The first Diniyyah Madrasah Haji Ya’qub has been able to implement some things that become part of the student management in according to existing regulations. The second there are problems faced both diniyyah Madrasah Haji Ya’qub, in implementing student management such as a) There are many students who have not been able to recognize to the social environment in the location of madrasah. b) The students’ interest to understand the lessons is low. c) The students’ attendance rate is less than the maximum. The third to face those problems madrasah diniyah haji ya’qub has some efforts as follows: a) Urge to all teachers to instruct their students to participate to the events to know the students’ physical and social environment. b) Instructed to the teachers to pay attention to their students to be active in all of activities of madrasah c) The functionaries give the warning and punishment to the students who are not going to School or discussion.

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memenuhi kewajiban dosen untuk melakukan tridharma perguruan tinggi. Untuk itu sudah menjadi kewajiban bagi dosen berbagi pengetahuan dan wawasan melalui penyuluhan pengembangan manajemen sumber daya manusia agar senantiasa berupaya mencapai tujuan organisasi dengan efektif dan efisien. Dan juga bertujuan Karang Taruna Kampung serua poncol dapat menjalankan fungsi dan perannya secara optimal sehingga mendatangkan manfaat bagi Kampung serua poncol. Pengembangan juga dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia dalam melaksanakan tugasnya sehingga lebih positif dalam berkontribusi tenaga dan pikiran untuk memajukan Kampung serua poncol.Kata Kunci : Manajemen Sumber Daya ManusiaABSTRACTThe purpose of this community service activity is to fulfill the obligations of lecturers to do tridharma of higher education. Ali Bin Abi Talib once said that children should be educated in accordance with the  development of the times. The Ali bin Abi Talib’s statement could be considered as his attention more to the development of human civilization. For that reason, there should be studies focused on the role of educational institutions in facing the challenges of the times. On this stand, the writer raises the existence of pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) for being considered to have been able to survive amid the onslaught of civilization increasingly obscuring cultural identity. In addition, this study also aims to identify and discuss the role of pesantren in the modern era. This is a literature study using a descriptive and exploratory approach. It can be concluded that pesantren are non-formal Islamic educational institutions. Pesantren have permanent and distictive methods and learning models. The purpose of pesantren education is the same as Islamic education in general, instilling a sense of virtue, familiarizing themselves with courtesy, preparing for a holy, sincere and honest life entirely. Pesantren could be seen from three aspects: (a) pesantren that are seen from facilities and infrastructures, (b) pesantren that are seen from disciplines taught, and (c) pesantren that are seen from the fields of knowledge.

This research has a singular and notable importance, because if something should concern a Higher Education Institution, it is knowing what is the destiny within society of the human resource trained in its classrooms, that product that the institution delivers to the community who are its graduates and professionals. For the Institutions of Higher Education it is satisfactory on the part of employers, that the training received in the Institution of Higher Education is indicated, that the majority of graduates and professionals are incorporated into the occupational market; that is to say; some exercise their profession and others do it in occupations that do not correspond to their profession, which is justified, being aware that one of the great problems of the contemporary world is undoubtedly the lack of demand for human resources for stable work, which according to Authorized and reliable studies of every 10 people who join the economically active population, only 3 have real possibilities of fully joining the labor market, either in the private or public sector.

During the last hundred years our knowledge of the educational institutions of medieval England has steadily increased, both of schools and universities. We know a good deal about what they taught, how they were organised and where they were sited. The next stage is to identify their relationship with the society which they existed to serve. Whom did they train, to what standards and for what ends? These questions pose problems. They cannot be answered from the constitutional and curricular records which tell us about the structure of educational institutions. Instead, they require a knowledge of the people—the pupils and scholars—who went to the medieval schools and universities. We need to recover their names, to compile their biographies and thereby to establish their origins, careers and attainments. If this can be done on a large enough scale, the impact of education on society will become clearer. In the case of the universities, the materials for this task are available and well known. Thanks to the late Dr A. B. Emden, most of the surviving names of the alumni of Oxford and Cambridge have been collected and published, together with a great many biographical records about them. For the schools, on the other hand, where most boys had their literary education if they had one at all, such data are not available. Except for Winchester and Eton, we do not possess lists of the pupils of schools until the middle of the sixteenth century, and there is no way to remedy the deficiency.

This study investigates human resource management (HRM) practices in higher education institutions (HEIs) based on a comparative analysis of India and the US. Although higher education in India has grown over the decades, its quality, in general, has not kept up with global standards. On the other hand, many US universities have performed consistently well in international university rankings. Based on qualitative research collected from principal stakeholders of HEIs in India and the US, HRM practices and policies followed by them are presented and discussed. Data collection for the research study was through web interviews during the period August–October 2020. The study reveals that Indian public HEIs do not have professional HRM teams. Also, they are in a formative stage in autonomous and private institutions. On the other hand, many HEIs in the US have developed mature HRM systems. This difference resonates in attributes such as structure of HRM, recruitment and selection processes, training and development programmes, performance management, career progression and talent retention.

ABSTRACTThe The increasingly difficult economic conditions require educational institutions at the tertiary level to develop a model for collecting funds from the community, one of which is through cash waqf. Airlangga University already has a model of developing and utilizing campus-based cash waqf. So with this waqf solution the community can be helped especially by students to continue their education. From here the authors are encouraged to conduct research on "Models of Development and Utilization of Cash Waqf for Higher Education (Case Study of Waqf Amerta Airlangga.".With the formulation of the problem: first, How to use cash waqf for higher education in Amerta Airlangga Waqf. Second, how to model the development of cash waqf in Amerta Airlangga. The method of this study used qualitative-descriptive because the data was qualitative, the data was not quantitative which used statistic. Practically, the data collection used three methods, they were: interview, observation, and documentation.Based on the results of research in Waqf Amerta Airlangga, it is known that the Community donated funds to the Waqf Amerta Airlangga through PUSPAS which is divided into two types, namely non-endowment social donations and endowment donations. Then some of the non-waqf funds were directly put into social donation accounts which could be directly utilized for the Airlangga University PUSPAS program, by 85%. While the other 15% is for the operations of PUSPAS Airlangga University. The Waqf Fund through the Amerta Endowments program will be managed separately for the fund as an investment in a number of portfolios. Key Words : Development and Utilization Model, Cash Waqf, Higher Education

There is a gap between the outcomes of higher education and the demands of competence in the workplace (Observation Teichler, 1997, 1999; Yorke and Knight, 2006). It is necessary to anticipate and evaluation conducted by the universities to the needs of the working world of the competence of its graduates. For this reason, preaches study program of Healing and Counseling at University of Al Azhar Indonesia needs to put through research, whether Healing and Counseling Program will be able to achieve the vision of its mission into educational institutions that can print a preacher who can do the required counseling Islam in society and the world of work today . This study aims for Healing and Counseling Studies Program to conduct an evaluation of the competencies needed by the real world of work in society and to adapt appropriate teaching curriculum. The results showed that the competence of graduates of Healing and Counseling Program UAI was needed in the world of work and competence in the appropriate field for Healing and Counseling is generally associated with human resources (HR) or Human Resources Department, namely as a counselor, therapist, spiritual counselor / preachers, volunteers for various family problems, physical, educational, religious, Islamic law, and violence.

Although there are many teaching styles in higher education, they can usually be reduced to two: the traditional, on campus attendance, lecturing, student-passive style and the newer, distance education, self-paced, student-active style. It is the contention of this paper, illustrated by two case studies of one Spanish and one Australian university, that the differences in technology seem to have evolved due to these different teaching styles. On the other hand, both institutions seem to be in the same stage of technological implementation, although the technological product appears different. A discussion is provided to consider the interaction effects in practice, teaching styles and institutional adoption stage on web based technologies in these two universities.
