Abstract Hypertension is the first of the fifteen diseases in Gorontalo city which mostly affects the elderly, with a total of 2240 people. One of the efforts to control the risk of increased hypertension is through family support so that the elderly at the age who are no longer productive can still improve their health status. This study used an observational research design with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling in this study was carried out by means of simple random sampling with the criteria of the elderly who came for treatment at health centers and were willing to be respondents, namely as many as 33 respondents. The results showed that the correlation between family support and elderly behavior in controlling hypertension using the chi square test got a value of ρ = 0.025 <a = 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between family support and the behavior of the elderly in controlling hypertension. Support from family can motivate the elderly to maintain their quality of life in old age.

The elderly is seen as a group of people who are at risk of experiencing health problems are complexand progressive. One of the many problems that arise in the nursing group is social disorder becausemany things affect this kind of support group members of the family and the environment. Penilitiangoal was to determine the effect of family support on the physical health of the elderly in the village ofDusun III Hutarao shavings Airport District Island District in 2014. This research uses analyticaldesign with a cross-sectional design with Chi-Square Test to determine the effect of family support onthe physical health of the elderly in the village of Dusun III Hutarao Island County Airport Districtshavings. The population is elderly and samples obtained 37 elderly aged 60 years and older who arestill able to move. The result showed that the majority of informational support in less categories thataffect the physical health of the elderly with a value of p = 0.001, which means there is a connectioninformational support to the physical health of the elderly. On the support of a majority vote by bothcategories of the physical health of the elderly with p = 0.0810 which means it does not influence theassessment of physical health support elderly. On the support of the majority of the categories ofemotional support were less influence on the physical health of the elderly with a value of p = 0.004,which means there is a relationship between emotional support to the physical health of the elderly. Inthe category of family support mayorita obtained either with p = 0.026, which means there is theinfluence of family support on the physical health of the elderly. Research goal should be advised ofthe educational institutions in order to add material about the physical health of family support for theelderly and the results can be used as a reference for further research while for elderly people whohave to pay more attention or providing support to the elderly so that the physical health of the elderlycan be maintained better

Leprosy elimination in several areas in Indonesia still late. It caused by knowledge, social and economic factor of Multi Drug Therapy (MDT) treatment. Leprosy treatment is very important to eliminate cases of leprosy because leprosy can be cured by taking medication regularly. If patient of leprosy take medication irregularly, leprosy bacteria can become resistant, so the symptoms will be persisted and even worse. This study was aimed to analyze the factors related with compliance of taking medicine by patient of leprosy in Disctrict Pragaan Sumenep. This study used cross sectional approach. The number of sample in this study were 40 patients who were taken with simple random sampling. Chi-square test in Statcalc of epi-info was used to know the relation between independent variables and dependent variable with (α = 0,05). Based on study result, there was asscociation between knowledge about leprosy with compliance of taking medicineby patient of leprosy (p = 0,012)). There was association between family support with compliance of taking medicineby patient of leprosy (p = 0,003).There was association between stigma with compliance of taking medicineby patient of leprosy (p = 0,000). There was association between the role of health workers with compliance of taking medicineby patient of leprosy (p = 0,014). There was asscociation between availabiliy of MDT with compliance of taking medicineby patient of leprosy (p = 0,006). The conclusion of this study was knowledge about leprosy, family support, stigma, availability of MDT were factors that related with compliance of taking medicineby patient of leprosy. Effective socialization will give patient motivations to be obedient of taking medicine. Keywords: compliance, leprosy, multi drug therapy.

The transition of elderly lives from productive periods to non-productive makes them need support from relatives, friends or family. The purpose of this study was to look at the relationship between family appreciation support with quality and life satisfaction of the elderly in the city of Depok, West Java, with a cross-sectional design. The subjects of this study were 135 elderly people> 60 years old, living with family, do not have infectious diseases, able to communicate in Indonesian; selected by purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Chi square test. The results of the study indicate that there was a relationship between family appreciation support with the quality of life of the elderly (p-value = 0.022) and life satisfaction of the elderly (p-value = 0.014). The results of this study are expected to support the development of nursing science in the future, especially regarding the quality and satisfaction of life of the elderly. Background: Delays of inpatient transfer from the Emergency Department (ED) will affect delayed care, overcrowd at ED, and patient’s disappointment. Such patient transfer delay from the Emergency Departement (ED) also occurs at Haji General Hospital, Surabaya.Aims: This study analyzed the relationship  between inpatient boarding time from Emergency Departement (ED) and patient satisfaction at Haji General Hospital, Surabaya.Methods: This was an observational research using a cross-sectional approach. The population was 980 ED patients who decided to be hospitalized. Out of 980 ED patients, the study only involved 83 respondents selected by simple random sampling. The instruments used were observational sheet and questionnaires to collect data which were then analyzed with a chi-square test.Results: Average boarding time was 142 minutes 25 seconds (minimum = 60 minutes; maximum = 290 minutes). Almost all respondents (81.3%) were satisfied about fast boarding time. Inpatient boarding time at the Emergency Departement (ED) was significantly related to patient satisfaction (p = 0.058 <α = 0.1). The faster inpatients move to ED, the more satisfied they are.Conclusion: The average patient boarding time from the Emergency Departement (ED) to Inpatient Unit was slow. Respondents were satisfied with the quality of services even though patient boarding time was slow. The hospital should pay more attention to evaluate the minimal standard of boarding time, ensure the availability of beds,  and improve the quality of facilities and services to enhance patient satisfaction. Keywords: Boarding time, Emergency Department, Inpatient, Satisfaction.

The Elderly Posyandu is a social organization that is engaged in fostering advanced health, health workers who serve elderly health and the wider community are a forum for the community supported by cross-sectoral collaboration. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and family support for elderly Posyandu activities in Seuriget Village, Langsa Barat District, Langsa City in 2014. The research method used a crossectional research design. The population of this study was all usas aged 60-69 years totaling 79 people. The sample in this study was total sampling. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The results of the study showed that 88.6% of respondents did not take part in the elderly posyandu activities, 72.2% of respondents were less knowledgeable and the majority of family support was 74.7%. The chi-square test results showed knowledge with the elderly posyandu activities (p = 0.001), with a value of X2 count = 12,443> X2 = 3.841. There was a relationship between family support and elderly posyandu activities (p = 0.007) and the value X2 count = 9.069> X2 = 3.841. Suggestions for the results of the study can be input for the community and the elderly towards the importance of the elderly Posyandu and can be used as input for the research site on the importance of the elderly posyandu.

Measles, or known in Indonesian as measles, and Rubella, are two infectious diseases that are contagious. Data for 2018 MR immunization coverage until the end of november only reaches (73.7%) and Measles Immunization trends tend to fluctuate in Bukit Wolio Indah Kelurahan. This happens because of various factors namely mother's knowledge, attitudes, and family support which have been formulated as the reason of the many factors. This study aims to determine how the relationship of knowledge, attitudes, and family support to the interest of MR immunization in the Bukit Wolio Indah Village, Baubau City. This type of research is analytical survey with cross sectional approach, and uses simple random sampling technique. The number of samples in the study were 70 respondents. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis at 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). Chi square test results obtained from the study that knowledge of MR immunization interests (ρ = 0.005), attitudes with MR immunization interests (ρ = 0.004), and family support with MR immunization interests (ρ = 0.273). The conclusion from this study there is no relationship on the family support variable, and there is a relationship on the attitude and knowledge variables with the interest of MR immunization in Bukit Wolio Indah Village, Baubau City. Suggestions that health practitioners can better socialize to the public about the benefits of MR immunization.

<p>Posyandu elderly aims to monitor the elderly condition in particular area because the body condition and aging process. But not all were able to actively follow the elderly Posyandu activities by various factors. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors related to the activity of the elderly following the Posyandu activities. This study was quantitative, using cross sectional design. From 155 respondents, 75 samples was obtained by purpossive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using chi-square test and logistic regression. Chi-square test result in this study indicate the variables that have a relationship with liveliness elderly family support variable (p=0.001), service cadres (p=0.000) and service of health workers (p=0.000). While that does not have a relationship with the activity of the elderly is a variable job (p=0.570) as well as distance and access (p=1.000). The result showed that cadre services was most dominant relationship with the liveliness of the elderly. In conclusion, the factors that have a relationship with the activity of the elderly following the Posyandu activities are support families, services and service cadres of health workers. This study sugest, cadres should be more active to disseminate information concerning the elderly and increase the number of cadres Posyandu.</p>

Introduction: Hypertension is a degenerative disease that causes changes in the elderly so it will affect the quality of life of the elderly. One effort to improve the health status and quality of life of the elderly is maintaining health conditions with activities. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of physical activity and the quality of life of elderly patients with hypertension in the working area of the Hambawang Beach Health Center. Method: This study used correlation with the cross sectional design approach. Respondents numbered 56 elderly taken in total sampling. The research instruments were PASE questionnaire and WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire. Data analysis used chi square test. Results:There was a relationship of physical activity with the quality of life of elderly people with hypertension (p = 0,000). Odds Ratio value of 49,5 means that elderly who have less physical activity are 49,5 times more likely to have a poor quality of life of the elderly compared to good physical activity of the elderly. Discussion: Good physical activity can improve the quality of life of the elderly. It was recommended to the elderly to do physical activities such as walking and doing sports.

One factor of IDD (Iodine Deficiency Disorders) is the lack consumptionof iodine, eitheriodinecomes from foodorsaltthat has beenfortified withiodine. Behavior ofhousewivesin selectingandstoringsaltshould be appropriatetomaintainthe quality ofsalt. Objective of the research to determine the manner of selection, methods of storage, the quality of iodized salt, and the Differences in the quality of iodized salt by way of elections and salt storage by housewives.Type of research is observational research in the form of analytic survey with cross sectional study design. The sample was selected using proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected in May 2015 in the Mriyan Orchard by conduct home visits, with a total study population of 410 households and the number of samples used as much as 78 households. This research was analyzed using Chi-square test.The results showed differences in the quality of iodized salt by way of elections and salt storage in the Mriyan Orchard with a value of p <0.05. Based on the descriptive results, it is known that the election of salt housewife compliance (89.7%), as well as salt storage means compliance (70.5%), the quality of iodized salt in the Mriyan Orchard reach the target the use of iodized salt for all (92.3%). There is a differences in the quality of iodized salt by way of elections (p = 0.000). Then, there is a differences in the quality of iodized salt by salt storage (p = 0.003)
