The gatherings among Yoruba people depicting religion, social or political values are usually staged with drumming. At the center of this art are the professional drummers with the cult identity of àyàn. The display, ordering and aesthetic of drumming are usually often come with some rituals during passages of life which are frequently unknown to the non-initiates. The study underscores the significant of ritual that are connected to birth, puberty, middle stage and death which are very important to life stages among the Yoruba people. It highlights the role of ritual rites in the profession of drumming in a selected town in Yoruba land. The paper use in-depth interview, participant observation, archival materials and ethnographic methods to generate data needed for its analysis. Tis paper through phenomenological analysis will process the data collected.

This resear aims to explore: (1) the role of guidance and conselling to cure student delinquency and (2) the implication of implementation of guidance and conselling to cure student delinquency.this research was qualitative approach by case studies. The data were obtained by depth-interview, participant observation, and documentation. The results showed that: (1) guidance and counseling have a very strategic role in learning activities which carried out in schools, the implementation of counseling can be integrated with various other activities in the school environment; (2) the impact of counseling activities can be the main forum for channeling students' interests and talents, thus the role and function of counseling is as the prevention process and treatment of various problems in learning. Penelitin ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri: (1) peran bimbingan dan konseling dalam mengatasi kenakalan siswa dan (2) implikasi pelaksanaan bimbingan dan konseling dalam mengatasi kenakalan siswa. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode wawancara mendalam, pengamatan partisipan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) bimbingan dan konseling memiliki peranan yang sangat strategis dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan di sekolah, pelaksanaan bimbingan konseling bisa diintegrasikan dengan berbagai kegiatan lainya di lingkungan sekolah; (2) dampak dari kegiatan bimbingan konseling dapat menjadi wadah utama untuk menyalurkan minat dan bakat siswa, dengan demikian peran dan fungsi bimbingan konseling adalah sebagai proses pencegahan dan proses pengobatan terhadap berbagai permasalahan dalam pembelajaran.

The social role of social worker: its shaping and acting in Erving Goffman’s dramaturgical perspective The subject of the work is shaping and playing the social role of a social worker in the dramaturgical perspective of Erving Goffman. The article is based on the author’s own research carried out for the purposes of the BA thesis. A qualitative method was used, namely an in-depth interview and participant observation. The aim of the article is to describe and explain how the social role of a social worker is shaped and played in the light of Erving Goffman’s dramatic concept on the basis of research carried out at the Municipal Social Welfare Center. Social workers and students of social work participated in the study. The main hypotheses adopted in this work are the assumptions that the social role of a social worker is shaped and played by participation in performances with a defined interactive order, and that each of the performances contains a defined interactive order to which certain, constant elements are subordinated. The collected data was analyzed using the Atlas.ti qualitative analysis software. The research shows that social workers shape and play their social role by preparing in the backstage and during performances on stages, which are: studies, internships and professional work both in the center and in the field.

<p align="center"><strong><em><span lang="EN-US">Abstract</span></em></strong><em></em></p><p><em><span lang="EN-US">Indonesia is a plural country with various ethnic groups, languages, religion, and culture. This is prone to friction such as conflicts between ethnicities, religion, and so on. This study aimed to know the implementation of multicultural education in growing tolerance between students in state Elementary School 2 Komet Banjarbaru. This study used qualitative approach with case study type of research. The study was done from January 2020 until March 2020. Data was collected by in-depth interview, participant observation, and documentation technique. The informants in this study were 11 samples including the headmaster, teacher, and students. After obtaining the data, analysis was done through the series of reduction, display, and data verification. Meanwhile, validity test was done by triangulation. The result showed that the implementation of multicultural education in growing tolerance between students in state Elementary School 2 Komet Banjarbaru through the school policy regulating that the rights of every student is equal, no obligation for non-Muslim female students to wear hijab, no obligation for non-Muslim students to attend Islamic religious activities, and religion subjects are customized to each religion, Muslim students learn Islamic studies, while non-Muslim students learn about their own religion, and they are free to learn religion studies in their own house of worship</span></em></p>

Abstrak: This article discusses the problems faced by the majority of students MPI FTIK IAIN Purwokerto. On the one hand, there is the desire of MPI students to become educators, and on the other hand according to the Department, they are oriented to become educational personnel. The study focused on curriculum content and policy of MPI Department of FTIK IAIN Purwokerto. With the method of unstructured in-depth interview, documentation, moderate participant observation and data analysis, it is found that the orientation of MPI Department is based on the vision, the mission stated in the profession to be achieved that is the main profession and the alternative profession. To support the orientation of the Department of MPI, the scientific core of MPI in the curriculum of the Department which becomes its distinguishing character is related to the science MPI contained in the MPI 001 to MPI 025 course code. The way of Department in socializing the orientation of the Department as well as construct the orientation of students to fit the orientation of the Department is through Introduction Academic Orientation activities, provision of Academic Guidebook, Maximization of Role of PA, Prodi, HMPS / HMJ, MPI Department profile viewing on IAIN Purwokerto website.ملخص: درس هذا المقال المشاكل التي يواجهها طلاب قسم إدارة التربية الإسلامية في كلية التربية والعلومالتعليمية بالجامعة الإسلامية الحكومية فورووكيرتو. ثمة إرادة من طلاب هذا القسم لأن يكونوا مدرّسين ،وفي جانب آخر أن يكونوا موظفّين تربويين. تُركزُ الدراسة في محتوى المنهج وقرارات كلية التربية والعلومالتعليمية في هذه الجامعة. تجمع البيانات عن طريق المقابلة غير التركيبية، والوثائق المكتوبة، والملاحظةبشبه المشاركة، وبعد التحليل حصل الباحث على نتائج البحث هي أن اتّاه قسم إدارة التربية الإسلاميةمناسب برؤيته ورسالته المتمثّلتان في المهنة التي حاول الطلاب الحصول عليها، هي المهنة الأساسية والمهنةالاختيارية. ولدعم اتجاه القسم، فإن فئة العلوم لهذا القسم في المنهج التميّزى هي العلوم المتعلقة بإدارة التربيةوالطريقة التى اتّذها . <em>Local wisdom about traditional food contained in the archipelago, especially the Javanese script is a legacy of high-value ancestors because by inheriting the tradition of food, can strengthen the identity and identity of the Indonesian nation universally.This research uses qualitative method with phenomenology approach. Data collection is done on observation (participant observation), in depth interview (in depth interview) and documentation. Data analysis is data reduction, display data and conclusion drawing / verification. Test the credibility of the data with triangulation and member check. The potential of srabi as a typical food in Ngampin Ambarawa Village is as a source of family income. The traders srabi get additional income by selling the srabi. Sales turnover will increase during holidays and during celebrations of the familiar traditions of Sha'ban moon better known as "Sha'banan". Efforts to preserve srabi in the village of Ngampin Ambarawa is by continuing to preserve local wisdom of local culture, eg Srabinan tradition which was held during the month of Sha'ban especially on 13, 14 and 15. The role of local government (PEMDA) continues to provide guidance to the traders of srabi traders, so that traders can continue to maintain the existence of srabi at any time. Making srabi as a special food Ngampin Ambarawa village as an effort to maintain the value of local wisdom.</em>

This research was aimed; 1) to know the quality of islamic religious education at theSMK N 1 Wadaslintang, 2) to know the participation of school commitee in increasingthe quality of islamic religious education at the SMK N 1 Wadaslintang, 3) to know thesupport and handicap factors how did school commite in increasing the quality of islamicreligious at the SMK N 1 Wadaslintang. In this research, we used a qualitative research.Qualitative search is a research that aimed to understand a phenomenon about what’sfelt by research subject holisticly with the words or language. In the collecting data, weused the interview, participant observation and documentation study. And analizing data,we wear the interactive analisis that ie data collection, data reduction , data displayand verification. The result of research had showed taht 1) quality of islamic religiouseducation is so good, it showed by activity of dhuha worship and dhuhur done togetherlyand on Friday, they go to mosque to pray togetherly.2) role of the school commitee inincreasing quality of islamic religious education such as : as a advisory agency, asa supporting agency, as a controlling agency, and as a executive agency. 3) factor ofsupporting as below a good leadership, a good performance of teacher and participationof student\s adults and handicap factor were such as less of infrastructure and businessof school commitee.

The movement of fund collection for well-being influences to community development. But public awareness to successfully of these activities is still a weakness because the distribution is more independently. The objective of this article is exploring the role of program Qoryah Thayyibah on the Al-Muthi’in Foundation with philanthropy movement and community empowerment strategy in Kampung Maguwo Banguntapan Bantul. The descriptive-qualitative method used to looking reality until we find different between desire and fact on Qoryah Thayyibah program. Furthermore, collecting data used participant observation and in-depth interviews. The finding of this article looks at collecting to fund philanthropy regularly direct and indirect fundraiser. The direct is carried through a “door to door” program to find donors. Meanwhile, indirect through the program is a new enterprise established, i.e. founding of home production through collection commodity for sale. Their model is a charity to actualizing social justice. Therefore, philanthropy funds used to education, health, economic development, and da’wah (religious) activities. On the other hand, the philanthropy funds program is influencing to improve the ability of personality, enterprise, and institution capacity.Gerakan pengumpulan dana untuk kesejahteraan (filantropi) berdampak signifikan terhadap pengembangan masyarakat. Namun kesadaran masyarakat untuk mensukseskan gerakan tersebut masih lemah, sehingga distribusi pengelolaan lebih banyak secara mandiri. Untuk membuktikannya, artikel ini berusaha mengungkap peran program Qoryah Thayyibah Yayasan Al-Muthi’in dalam pola gerakan filantropi dan strategi pemberdayaan di Kampung Maguwo Banguntapan Bantul. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dipilih untuk menggambarkan realita secara mendalam sehingga terlihat perbedaan antara keinginan dan kenyataan dalam pelaksanaan program Qoryah Thayyibah. Selain itu, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah participant observation dan in-depth interview. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat strategi yang dimiliki yayasan dalam penggalangan dana filantropi, yakni pengumpulan dana secara langsung dan tidak langsung. Secara langsung dilakukan melalui mekanisme “door to door” mencari donatur tetap. Sementara tidak langsung melalui program Qoryah Thayyibah dengan membangun usaha baru, yaitu mendirikan rumah produksi melalui pengumpulan barang yang layak jual dari masyarakat. Kedua strategi ini dapat dikatakan sebagai model karitas untuk mewujudkan keadilan sosial. Hasil pendayaangunaan dana filantropi tersebut digunakan untuk kegiatan pendidikan, kesehatan, pengembangan ekonomi, dan dakwah (keagamaan). Sisi lain, program pendayagunaan dana filantropi ini berdampak pada peningkatan kapasitas kepribadian, usaha dan kelembagaan.

AbstractThis research aimed to study Islamic theology (tafaqquh fiddin) and skill development in PP. (Islamic Boarding School) Ath-Thohariyyah, Pandeglang. There are three aspects studied relating with the in-depth theology, i.e.: input aspect, process aspect, and output aspect. Meanwhile, three more aspects studied relating with skill development, i.e.: skill type, partnership, and benefit value. This qualitative research was conducted by using four techniques of data collection, i.e.: in-depth interview, participant observation, documentation studies, and triangulation. The research concluded that the main pilar of pesantren education in enhancing theology to build and lead the potential candidates of scholars (ulama) can be combined by developing skills in various types and choices, based on the ability and necessity of local regions, as well as the potential resources of each pesantren. PP. Ath-Thohariyyah can be the role model of pesantren that is inspiring and encouraging the creativity of other pesantrens in Pandeglang Regency, Banten, not only in providing various education services for students, but also in providing spiritual and mental development services, religious knowledge, and skill practices. Abstrak Penelitian ini ingin mendeskripsikan pendalaman ilmu agama (tafaqquh fiddin) dan pengembangan keterampilan (life skills) di PP. Ath-Thohariyyah – Pandeglang. Ada tiga aspek yang dikaji terkait pendalaman ilmu agama, yaitu; aspek input, proses dan output. Sementara tiga aspek lain yang dikaji terkait pengembangan keterampilan adalah jenis keterampilan, kemitraan, dan nilai manfaat. Penelitian kualitatif ini dilakukan dengan empat teknik pengum­pulan data, yaitu: wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipasi, studi dokumentasi, dan triangulasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pokok utama pendidikan pesantren dalam hal pendalaman ilmu agama untuk mencetak dan mengkader calon ulama dapat dipadukan dengan mengembangkan keterampilan dalam berbagai jenis dan pilihan sesuai dengan kemampuan dan kebutuhan wilayah lokal setempat, serta potensi sumberdaya setiap pesantren. PP. Ath-Thohariyyah dapat menjadi model percontohan pesantren yang bisa menginspirasi dan mendorong kreativitas pesantren lain di wilayah Kabupaten Pandeglang Banten dalam upaya memberikan ragam layanan pendidikan kepada santri, selain kebutuhan mental spiritual dan pengetahuan keagamaan, juga kebutuhan praksis keterampilan.

PurposeThe purpose of this study is to shed some light on an important phenomenon – how and why intra-family succession may change if millennial cohorts are considered as successors. Specifically, it aims to explore the superordinate themes that support the success of intra-family succession from perspective of two different cohort successors (X and millennial).Design/methodology/approachAn interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) was adopted for detailed structural analysis of in-depth interview as it aims to explore meaning of participants' experiences. A total of ten individuals participated in the study.FindingsSeventeen superordinate themes emerged from participants' personal statements and experiences. The themes are grouped into four aspects: namely, characteristics of predecessor and successor, succession process, firm and family and succession output. These aspects were found to be different between X and millennial cohort successors. They then form an empirical model of intra-family succession from both perspectives.Research limitations/implicationsThis study enriches the theory of family firm by considering generational effect of successors on intra-family succession.Practical implicationsAs millennial cohort successors prefer to go directly into business (experiential learning) and are driven by non-material motives (passion-driven), predecessors are expected to utilize them in the process of nurturing and development.Originality/valueThis study considers the role of generation cohort in supporting the success of intra-family succession especially in relation to the characteristics of millennial cohort successors that have been shown to differ from that of X cohort.

This paper presents a case-study of an individual engaged in the practice of craft brewing and the ways in which his use of a mobile device has supported the informal learning underpinning his transition from novice towards mastery. Through participant observation, online ethnographic methods and interview data the authors present a description of how the mobile device is used. The authors argue for the importance of considering the role of constraint in the creative process, and the place of expert assessment in evaluating a product as creative. These arguments are contrasted with theorisation of assessment as absent in informal learning or inappropriate for evaluating creativity.
