AbstractThis research aimed to study Islamic theology (tafaqquh fiddin) and skill development in PP. (Islamic Boarding School) Ath-Thohariyyah, Pandeglang. There are three aspects studied relating with the in-depth theology, i.e.: input aspect, process aspect, and output aspect. Meanwhile, three more aspects studied relating with skill development, i.e.: skill type, partnership, and benefit value. This qualitative research was conducted by using four techniques of data collection, i.e.: in-depth interview, participant observation, documentation studies, and triangulation. The research concluded that the main pilar of pesantren education in enhancing theology to build and lead the potential candidates of scholars (ulama) can be combined by developing skills in various types and choices, based on the ability and necessity of local regions, as well as the potential resources of each pesantren. PP. Ath-Thohariyyah can be the role model of pesantren that is inspiring and encouraging the creativity of other pesantrens in Pandeglang Regency, Banten, not only in providing various education services for students, but also in providing spiritual and mental development services, religious knowledge, and skill practices. Abstrak Penelitian ini ingin mendeskripsikan pendalaman ilmu agama (tafaqquh fiddin) dan pengembangan keterampilan (life skills) di PP. Ath-Thohariyyah – Pandeglang. Ada tiga aspek yang dikaji terkait pendalaman ilmu agama, yaitu; aspek input, proses dan output. Sementara tiga aspek lain yang dikaji terkait pengembangan keterampilan adalah jenis keterampilan, kemitraan, dan nilai manfaat. Penelitian kualitatif ini dilakukan dengan empat teknik pengum­pulan data, yaitu: wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipasi, studi dokumentasi, dan triangulasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pokok utama pendidikan pesantren dalam hal pendalaman ilmu agama untuk mencetak dan mengkader calon ulama dapat dipadukan dengan mengembangkan keterampilan dalam berbagai jenis dan pilihan sesuai dengan kemampuan dan kebutuhan wilayah lokal setempat, serta potensi sumberdaya setiap pesantren. PP. Ath-Thohariyyah dapat menjadi model percontohan pesantren yang bisa menginspirasi dan mendorong kreativitas pesantren lain di wilayah Kabupaten Pandeglang Banten dalam upaya memberikan ragam layanan pendidikan kepada santri, selain kebutuhan mental spiritual dan pengetahuan keagamaan, juga kebutuhan praksis keterampilan.

Like in general, Islamic boarding schools only provide education to students with religious knowledge and morals as the main substance but do not provide the students with skills. As a result, the Pondok Pesantren alumni arose in their hearts a feeling of not mastering their skills when they brought them to their hometowns. Given such a situation, providing life skills is expected to be an alternative to this problem. This study provides an overview of what strategies are applied in implementing life skills education at the Darussa'adah Jekulo Kudus Islamic boarding school. This research uses a field case study. The data collection technique was used by pins in the form of observation methods, interviews with informants, and documentation. While the data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. This research was conducted at the Darussa'adah Hadipolo Jekulo Kudus Islamic boarding school. The results showed that the strategies used in improving life skills education ran quite effectively and yielded results. These results can be seen from the material presented by the management and caregivers and the high enthusiasm of all students in carrying out gardening and entrepreneurship activities owned by the Islamic Boarding School. The strategies used in developing entrepreneurial skills at the Darussa'adah Islamic Boarding School were quite successful, as evidenced by the development of plantations and entrepreneurship belonging to the Islamic Boarding Schools.Keywords: Education, Life Skill, Islamic Boarding School�

This study aims to determine the pattern of communication in the process of developing life skills at the Darul Fallah Islamic Boarding School, Bogor Regency. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the curriculum used was an integrated curriculum, namely a combination of religious material, general material, and life skills consisting of: personal skills, social skills, academic skills, and vocational skills. Personal skill development is carried out through public lectures, muhadhoroh, pencak silat, and sports. Social skill development is carried out through HISDAF which is an organization of students, muhadatsah and scouts. Academic skill development is carried out through learning the Qur’an, Hadith and the Salaf book (Yellow book). Vocational skill development is carried out through an integrated agricultural program. Linear communication patterns are actualized in general lectures and muhadhoroh (discourse) activities. Interactional communication patterns are carried out in muhadatsah (conversation) activities, learning the Qur’an, Hadith and the Salaf books. While transactional communication patterns are carried out in scouting activities, HISDAF student organizations, and agricultural education.Keywords : Life skills, linear communication, interactional communication, transactional communication ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi dalam proses pengembangan life skill di Pondok Pesantren Pertanian Darul Fallah Kabupaten Bogor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum yang digunakan adalah kurikulum terpadu, yaitu gabungan materi keagamaan, materi umum, serta keterampilan (life skill) yang terdiri atas: personal skill, social skill, academic skill, dan vocational skill. Pengembangan personal skill dilakukan melalui ceramah umum, muhadhoroh, pencak silat, dan olahraga. Pengembangan social skill dilakukan melalui HISDAF yang merupakan organisasi santri, muhadatsah dan pramuka. Pengembangan academic skill dilakukan melalui pembelajaran al-Qur’an, Hadis dan kitab salaf (kitab kuning). Pengembangan vocational skill dilakukan melalui program pertanian yang terpadu. Pola komunikasi linier diaktualisasikan dalam kegiatan ceramah umum serta muhadhoroh. Pola komunikasi interaksional dilakukan dalam kegiatan muhadatsah, pembelajaran al-Qur’an, Hadis dan kitab salaf. Adapun pola komunikasi transaksional dilakukan dalam kegiatan pramuka, organisasi santri HISDAF, dan pendidikan pertanian.Kata Kunci: Life skills, komunikasi linier, komunikasi interaksional, komunikasi transaksional

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan dimensi teologi dalalm praktek pendidikan pada Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Nuruil Ilmi seraya menurunkan makna dari penerapan tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan teknik non partisipan, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumen dalam pengumpulan data. Sedangkan teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data menggunakan tranferability dan conformability. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ide teologi Islam mengilhami kerangka kerangka kurikulum, desain pembelajaran (proses belajar mengajar), pengembangan kelembagaan, dan pengembangan profesionalisme guru. Kata Kunci: Teologi, Pendidikan, Sekolah Islam Terpadu Abstrak [Theology Based Education; An Investigation at Integrated Islamic Elementary School]. The objective of this research was both to investigate the dimension of education theology applied by an integrated Islamic elementary school namely SDIT Nurul Ilmi Jambi and to reveal the meaning of those application. This was a qualitative research in which the researcher used non-participant observation, in–depth interview, and documentation to gather the data. The data was analyzed by a flow model technique. To check the validity, the researcher employed credibility /transferability and conformability. The finding showed that the notion on Islamic theology was implied in the curriculum frameworks, instructional designs (teaching and learning process), institutional development, and teachers’ professional development. Many consider that Islamic boarding schools are lagging behind the times and are unable to meet the needs of the community. In contrast, Islamic boarding schools are considered as social education institutions, where Kiai plays a central role in uniting boarding school and community. Therefore the purpose of this study is to explore how the part of Kiai in the community. This study uses qualitative approaches and descriptive methods. The data in this study obtained through participant observation, interviews with Kiai, administrators, principals, surrounding communities, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that Kiai can establish strong relationships without stopping with people who are far from religious understanding. Kiai is an influential figure who can integrate all existing social institutions with the institutional boarding school he leads. Further, Kiai is used as a primary role model in thinking, acting, and behave. So that the community recognizes the existence of the Kiai, Kiai can answer every problem that the society faces and accommodate every aspiration of the community.

AbstractThis article is written based on the research focusing on foreign students in Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) Wali Barokah Kediri. This research focused on the orientation (perspective and vision) and service for foreign students in the Pesantren. The research was conducted by using qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data source was obtained through observation, documentation studies, and in-depth interview with the Pesantren leaders, kiai/ustad (religious senior/teacher),  and foreign students. The findings in this research were: 1) The foreign students in Pesantren Wali Barokah aimed to achieve Islamic theology or tafaqquh fiddin excellently, accurately, and completely (kaffah), 2) The parents of foreign students were also involved in learning activities in Pesantren Wali Barokah, 3) The foreign students’ vision to study in pesantren is to be guided directly by ustad/ustazah (male and female teachers) who possess articulate Islamic theology (sanad keilmuan Islam) and are faithful to their academic performance. Furthermore, the students can particularly accomplish reading one of the Kutub Sittah holy books and memorize 30 Juz (part/section) of Alquran, and 4) The parents have their expectations that by sending their children to study in pesantren, they will be independent and become high quality human beings. Abstrak Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian tentang santri asing di Pesantren Wali Barokah Kediri. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada orientasi (pandangan dan aspirasi) dan layanan asing yang belajar di pesantren tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunaakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data diperoleh melalui pengamatan, studi dokumen dan wawancara mendalam terhadap pimpinan pesantren, kiai/ustad dan santri asing. Hasil temuan penelitian ini antara lain: 1) santri asing belajar di pesantren Wali Barokah bertujuan untuk memperoleh Ilmu agama Islam  atau tafaqquh fiddin secara baik, akurat dan lengkap (kaffah), 2) para orang tua santri asing juga sama-sama mengikuti pembelajaran di pesantren Wali Barokah, 3) Aspirasi santri asing belajar di pesantren yaitu  memperoleh bimbingan langsung para ustad/ustazah yang memiliki sanad keilmuan yang jelas, serta dipertanggungjawabkan secara akademis. Seliaan itu, secara khusus mereka dapat mengkahatamkan salah satu dari kitab Kutub Sittah dan menghafal Alquran 30 Juz. 4) Sementara itu, harapan orang tua santri belajar di pesantren ini ingin anak-ananya menjadi manusia mandiri dan  berakhlak mulia.

<p align="center"><strong><em><span lang="EN-US">Abstract</span></em></strong><em></em></p><p><em><span lang="EN-US">Indonesia is a plural country with various ethnic groups, languages, religion, and culture. This is prone to friction such as conflicts between ethnicities, religion, and so on. This study aimed to know the implementation of multicultural education in growing tolerance between students in state Elementary School 2 Komet Banjarbaru. This study used qualitative approach with case study type of research. The study was done from January 2020 until March 2020. Data was collected by in-depth interview, participant observation, and documentation technique. The informants in this study were 11 samples including the headmaster, teacher, and students. After obtaining the data, analysis was done through the series of reduction, display, and data verification. Meanwhile, validity test was done by triangulation. The result showed that the implementation of multicultural education in growing tolerance between students in state Elementary School 2 Komet Banjarbaru through the school policy regulating that the rights of every student is equal, no obligation for non-Muslim female students to wear hijab, no obligation for non-Muslim students to attend Islamic religious activities, and religion subjects are customized to each religion, Muslim students learn Islamic studies, while non-Muslim students learn about their own religion, and they are free to learn religion studies in their own house of worship</span></em></p>

The gatherings among Yoruba people depicting religion, social or political values are usually staged with drumming. At the center of this art are the professional drummers with the cult identity of àyàn. The display, ordering and aesthetic of drumming are usually often come with some rituals during passages of life which are frequently unknown to the non-initiates. The study underscores the significant of ritual that are connected to birth, puberty, middle stage and death which are very important to life stages among the Yoruba people. It highlights the role of ritual rites in the profession of drumming in a selected town in Yoruba land. The paper use in-depth interview, participant observation, archival materials and ethnographic methods to generate data needed for its analysis. Tis paper through phenomenological analysis will process the data collected.

This resear aims to explore: (1) the role of guidance and conselling to cure student delinquency and (2) the implication of implementation of guidance and conselling to cure student delinquency.this research was qualitative approach by case studies. The data were obtained by depth-interview, participant observation, and documentation. The results showed that: (1) guidance and counseling have a very strategic role in learning activities which carried out in schools, the implementation of counseling can be integrated with various other activities in the school environment; (2) the impact of counseling activities can be the main forum for channeling students' interests and talents, thus the role and function of counseling is as the prevention process and treatment of various problems in learning. Penelitin ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri: (1) peran bimbingan dan konseling dalam mengatasi kenakalan siswa dan (2) implikasi pelaksanaan bimbingan dan konseling dalam mengatasi kenakalan siswa. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode wawancara mendalam, pengamatan partisipan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) bimbingan dan konseling memiliki peranan yang sangat strategis dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan di sekolah, pelaksanaan bimbingan konseling bisa diintegrasikan dengan berbagai kegiatan lainya di lingkungan sekolah; (2) dampak dari kegiatan bimbingan konseling dapat menjadi wadah utama untuk menyalurkan minat dan bakat siswa, dengan demikian peran dan fungsi bimbingan konseling adalah sebagai proses pencegahan dan proses pengobatan terhadap berbagai permasalahan dalam pembelajaran.

<p><em>I</em><em>n</em><em>i</em><em>t</em><em>ially, pesantren is a simple religious boarding school, without systematic teaching. Nowdays, pesantren developed in such a way, either in the form of physical and system curriculum concepts. Its existence equip madrasah or college classical format. Restore the function and role of schools in national education.R</em><em>e</em><em>v</em><em>ea</em><em>l the purpose of this research is the management concept of the ideal model of integrative education and Viewing the relationship between management education models integrated with the achievement of the National Education held at Darul Muttaqien boarding school and Al-Karimiyah, West Java. This study used a qualitative approach to the design multicase. T</em><em>h</em><em>e technique of collecting data through interviews, participant observation and documentation. T</em><em>h</em><em>e results of this study indicate that integrative education conducted in schools that promote a very significant aspect of morality. Style education schools that emphasize a balance between science and morality will make an intelligence generation, virtuous and moral. Integrative Islamic Education seeks combines two things that is still treated dichotomacally, namely to harmonize the relationship revelation re-sense, which is dichotomacally treatment of both has resulted in the separation of religious knowledge with general knowledge. Management education in Darul Muttaqien and Al Karimiyah Muttaqien still maintaining the purity of its original identity as a place steeped in religious sciences (tafaqquh fiddin) through the classics (yellow book) written by the scholars' medieval. However, in both educational boarding school is not just focused on the classics (read: religious knowledge), but also include general subjects and skills. The aims of this study is to find out the praxis of project-based learning at PIKA Vocational Secondary School Semarang and to identify the advantages and the disadvantages. The design of this research is qualitative case study. The data collection techniques were in-depth interview, participant observation, and document analysis. The informants of this study were: principal, viceprincipal, teachers, employees, and students. The results of this study showed that: (1) there were two patterns of project-based learning at PIKA VSS Semarang. The first pattern was learning  for  internal  internship  program  and  the second  was  learning  productive practice program. (2) The advantages of project-based learning were: (a) it trained the students’ sense of entrepreneurship; (b) it developed’ learning motivation; (c) it gave a complete, real and contextual learning experience; and (d) it developed the students’hardskills and softskills. The disadvantages of Project-based Learning were: (a) it required the acquisition competencies to perform project assignments; (b) it took times; (c) it required high operational costs; (d) it required adequate facilities.
