The aim of this article is to describe the writing of Muṣḥāf al-Qur'ān Sciences Education Foundation (YPIIQ) Wonosobo still written by hand in this sophisticated era. The type of this research uses the field research by a qualitative method approach which finds out the phenomenon and analyse the existing data. The process of collecting data uses interview, observation and documentation techniques, and it has found some interesting things. Firstly, the emergence of the tradition of writing Muṣḥāf by hand and giant size departing from KH. Muntaha's idea, he is the caretaker of the Al-Asy'ariyyah Taḥfῑż al-Qur’ān Islamic Boarding School, Kalibeber, Mojotengah, Wonosobo, Central of Java. The devotion of KH. Muntaha Al-Hafidz to al-Qur'ān made him to finally realise the grand Qur'ān  writing project. KH. Muntaha al-Hafidz also wants to continue writing Al-Qur’ān  that had been written by his grandfather, namely KH. Abdurrahim (1860-1916 AD). Secondly, before writing, there are certain provisions that must be carried out by writers namely they must be in a sacred condition when writing the muṣḥāf,  do the sunnah prayers of two raka'at and  write it accompanied by fasting except several days that are forbidden to fast. Thirdly, the strong factor that encourages the tradition of writing muṣḥāf at the Qur’ān Sciences Education Foundation (YPIIQ) Wonosobo is still being carried out till now because of devotion to teachers and wants to always glorify the muṣḥāf.

Abstrak Kegiatan dakwah yang dilakukan kelompok Jamaah Tabligh dan Pesantren Hidayatullah di Tanah Air telah banyak ditulis. Artikel ini hanya menambahkan saja satu lagi penelitian tentang kiprah kedua institusi tersebut, terutama jejak-jejaknya di wilayah perbatasan Skow Papua, yang berbatasan langsung dengan wilayah Papua New Guinea (PNG). Dai-dai dari kedua lembaga tersebut terus berkiprah dan belakangan memungkinkan terjadinya konversi warga PNG ke Islam.  Tulisn ini juga untuk menambahkan literatur tentang jarangnya penelitian kegiatan dakwah di perbatasan. Paper dari hasil riset lapangan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan tentang seberapa jauh dakwah kedua institusi tersebut di kawasan perbatasan Skouw, termasuk capaian keberhasilan dan hambatan-hambatannya. Temuan penting dari riset ini antara lain, gerakan dakwah yang dilakukan oleh lembaga-lembaga seperti Jamaah Tabligh ini ternyata menyuguhkan bukan semata persoalan gerakan kesalehan berdasarkan anjuran agama, namun ternyata juga menyajikan jalinan kerjasama dan juga solusi untuk mencapai level kehidupan lebih baik, terutama untuk kalangan muallaf. Kata Kunci : Jamaah Tabligh, Pesantren Hidayatullah, Dakwah, Rute Perdagangan, hambatan budaya   Abstract Proselityzing activities carried out by Jamaat Tabligh and Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School in Indonesia has been widely published elsewhere. This article is only to add one more study about these two Islamic group that deals chiefly with their specific proselytization activities in Skouw border Jayapura, Papua. This gate splits between Indonesia and Papua New Guinea (PNG). Dai or Islamic proselytization activists of both group continue to keep their dakwah activity that possibles to convert local PNG people into Islam. This paper is based on field research which is approached by qualitative method. Its aim is to respond the question to what extend missionarism of both Islamic religious group at Skow border area, what are achieved so far and what challenges to it. The essential result of this research shows that Islamic missionarism of both group focusing not merely on pietic movement based on relegious tenets, but also stressing on networking between Indonesian and PNG people. Also, it shows the problem solving for gaining economic wellfare, especially for new Islamic converters (muallaf). A lot of Muslims are increasingly distant from the Holy Quran with various reasons such as busy, can not read even not understand the content of the verse that was read. Muhammadiyah as an Islamic da'wah organization that hathe motto ar ruju 'ilal Quran wa Sunnah (back to the Holy Quran and Sunnah) always try to re-grow the love and pride of Muslims to the Quran, one of the efforts is shown by choosing a method that feels easy for all students from the elderly to the elderly to understand the content of the Holy Qur'an, and the method which chosen by Majlis Tabligh Muhammadiyah was the method of manhaji. The purpose of this research is to know the level of difference understanding of students between before and after following program tafhīm with manhaji method. Beside that, this research also aim to measure effectiveness of manhaji method as a method to understand the meanings contained in the Holy Quran. This research is field research that using mixed method approach. This research took a case study at Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Muhammadiyah High School (SMA) Muhammadiyah Bantul (MUHIBA) and Muhammadiyah Branch Chief (PCM) Kretek. Data collection techniques in this research consisted of observation, interviews, questionnaire and documentation. The result of this research shows that the implementation of program of tafhīm al Quran with method of manhaji both of MBS MUHIBA and citizen of Muhammadiyah Kretek are done well, there is improvement of ability to understand Holy Quran at student of MBS MUHIBA and citizen of Muhammadiyah Kretek after following program of tafhīm al Quran with method of manhaji. It so happens, the result of effectiveness level of manhaji method in program of tafhīm al Quran at MBS MUHIBA is Very Effective, and at PCM Kretek is Effective.Banyak umat Islam semakin jauh dari al Quran dengan berbagai macam alasan seperti sibuk, tidak bisa membaca bahkan tidak faham dengan kandungan ayat yang dibaca. Muhammadiyah sebagai organisasi dakwah Islam yang memiliki semboyan ar ruju’ ilal Quran wa Sunnah (kembali kepada al Quran dan Sunnah) senantiasa berusaha untuk menumbuhkan kembali kecintaan dan kebanggaan umat Islam kepada al Quran. Salah satu usaha tersebut ialah dengan memilih metode yang dirasa tepat untuk memahami al Quran baik bagi para pelajar hingga orang yang berusia lanjut. Metode yang dipilih oleh Muhammadiyah melalui Majlis Tabligh adalah metode manhaji. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat perbedaan pemahaman santri antara sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti program tafhīm dengan metode manhaji. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat efektivitas metode manhaji sebagai metode untuk memahami makna-makna yang terkandung dalam al Quran. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan mixed method atau metode campuran antara penelitian kualitatif dengan penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian ini mengambil studi kasus di Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Muhammadiyah Bantul (MUHIBA) dan Pimpinan Cabang Muhammadiyah (PCM) Kretek. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari observasi, wawancara, kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan metode manhaji dalam program tafhīm al Quran baik di MBS MUHIBA maupun PCM Kretek telah dilaksanakan dengan baik, terjadi peningkatan kemampuan dalam memahami al Quran pada santri MBS MUHIBA dan warga Muhammadiyah Kretek setelah mengikuti program tafhīm al Quran dengan metode manhaji. Adapun tingkat efektivitas metode manhaji dalam program tafhīm al Quran di MBS MUHIBA adalah Sangat Efektif, sedangkan tingkat efektivitas di PCM Kretek adalah Efektif.

<p class="07KatakunciKeywords"><span lang="EN-GB">This study aims to analyze the management of character education in growing the religious character of students at MI Mafatihul Akhlaq Jepara. This research is a field research with a qualitative method approach. The object of this research is MI Mafatihul Akhlaq Demangan, Tahunan, Jepara. This research data collection using interview techniques, observation and documentation, technical data analysis through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and classification and validity test using data triangulation techniques. The results of this study include; 1) the character education management model implanted at MI Mafatihul Akhlaq Jepara includes the process of planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating it, religious character, honesty, intelligence, and caring for others. Teachers have strategies to support the achievement of the concept of character education management. 2) Strategies in implementing character education in fostering the religious attitude of students through example, learning, empowerment and civilizing, strengthening, and assessment.</span></p>

Islam is a religion that commands its adherents to always do good, not to damage or even kill other people, but slanted news about Islam is always decorated by irresponsible people; they say Islam is a religion of terrorism and a religion full of violence. Referring to this, the researcher will thoroughly explore the STAI As-Sunnah strategy in countering radicalism, as well as formulate the supporting and inhibiting factors of the strategy. This research is a field research with a descriptive qualitative method carried out at STAI As-Sunnah, the source of data researchers absorb from the head of STAI As-Sunnah, assistant chairman 1 in the field of education, assistant chairman 3 in the field of student affairs, as well as the sections they supervise and the institutions that in collaboration with STAI As-Sunnah. Data collection methods used by researchers are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis and processing was carried out in three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of this research explain that the strategies adopted by STAI As-Sunnah are academic and non-academic strategies. The supporting factors for the strategy are: the vision and mission of STAI As-Sunnah, a conducive environment for STAI As-Sunnah, the appointment of lecturers and students and the boarding school system; As for the barrier factors, namely: communication and print media, living environment, family life and school of origin of students.

The purpose of this study was to determine the kyai leadership style in developing the majelis taklim Islamic Boarding School Ar-Rahmah Sleman Yogyakarta. This study uses a qualitative method using descriptive analysis. At the same time, this type of research approach is a case study or field research oriented towards collecting data in the field. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation and interviews. The observation is used to determine the ongoing program of activities, leadership styles and activities with members of the majelis taklim. At the same time, interviews were conducted with 20 informants from the board of foundations and members of the majelis taklim. The results showed that the Kyai leadership style in developing the majelis taklim Islamic Boarding School Ar-Rahmah Sleman Yogyakarta uses a democratic leadership style with indicators that include: The leader makes plans together with members, evaluates ongoing programs, decision making is carried out based on deliberation, respecting the ability or potential of members, the familiarity of the leader with the members without any distance like siblings, having good communication, being able to provide motivation, provide protection, input, guidance, and direction to members to carry out their duties better.

This paper aims to reveal the management of education financing at the Putra Darul Hikam Dago Giri boarding school Bandung. This study uses a qualitative method with the type of field research. The results showed that the education financing management at the Putra Darul Hikam Dago Giri boarding school Bandung, includes: Planning based on the evaluation of the previous year's budget, which was carried out by the Treasurer, Head of Bureau II and Head of Boarding school approved by the college director. Sources of funding are obtained from guardians of students, boarding, donors and foundations. Financing management includes entry and exit costs which include personnel, non-personnel and investment costs. Operational budget supervision is carried out by the Head of Bureau II and the Director of Darul Hikam College. Financial reports are carried out by two parties, namely by the foundation through the Darul Hikam college and by the chairman of the Boarding which is called the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) system.

Abstract The purpose of this study is to know the implementation of strategic management in an effort to improve the quality of education in Pondok Pesantren. This research use descriptive, analytic, qualitative method by using field study (field research) in data collection. From the results of research can be concluded: the implementation of strategic management in an effort to improve the quality of education in Pondok Pesantren, has been done well. Efforts to improve the quality of education in boarding schools increased and directed, because the implementation of strategic management made in boarding school can be implemented and the goal is achieved well. Abstrak Tujuan penelitian tersebut adalah ingin mengetahui penerapan manajemen strategis dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Pondok Pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, analitik, kualitatif dengan menggunakan studi lapangan (field research) dalam pengumpulan data. Dari hasil penelitin dapat disimpulkan: penerapan manajemen strategis dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Pondok Pesantren, sudah terlaksana dengan baik. Usaha kegiatan peningkatan mutu pendidikan di pondok pesantren semakin meningkat dan terarah, karena penerapan manajemen strategis yang dibuat di pondok pesantren dapat dilaksanakan dan tujuannya tercapai dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan kurikulum pesantren di Kabupaten Jepara di Era 4.0.  Mengapa pesantren sudah menggunakan 4.0, tapi peserta didik tidak menguasai penggunaan media digital. Pondok Kabupaten Jepara ini adalah untuk mengetahui dinamika proses kebijakan pelaksanaan manajemen pendidikan di pesantren tersebut, untuk mengetahui pola manajemen yang dipraktekkan pengelola (kyai) dalam menggerakkan dan mengelola semua sumber daya di pesantren dan untuk mengetahui faktor penunjang dan faktor penghambat dalam kebijakan pengembngan  manajemen pesantren sebagai tindak lanjut dalam peningkatan pengelolaan pendidikan pesantren. Penelitian ini di laksanakan di pondok pesatren memakai penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan metode kualitatif atau pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan telaah dokumentasi, wawancara dan observasi, analisis datang dengan tiga langkah yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data atau penyimpulan. Hasil penelitian dideskripsikan dengan dianalisis sehingga dapat menemukan menemukan teori serta pesan manajemen pendidikan madrasah pesantren (kyai) dengan manajemen pendidikan pesantren (kemenag). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan merupakan suatu metode yang di gunakan untuk suatu hasil produk tertentu serta menguji keefektifan dari produk tersebut. Upaya untuk mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan dan temuan temuan baru. Jadi penelitian ini adalah upaya untuk membuktikan mengembangkan dan menemukan bukti kongkret kebenaran sebuah model yang telah ada. hasil penelitian sangat mendukung dalam proses pembelajaran yaitu adanya fasiltas proyektor, laptop, audio, sehingga pada saat pembelajaran materi sangat didukung dengan fasilitas tersebut, dan juga guru sangat terbantu fasilitas tersebut itu terbukti pada saat proses pembelajran guru menyampaikan materi menggunakan semua fasilitas tersebut sehingga peserta didik tidak jenuh dikelas. [This study aims to: (1) explain the meaning of Islamic boarding schools; 2) explain the basis of religion, philosophical foundation and also social foundation Management culture of Islamic Boarding Schools; and (3) explain the curriculum development of Islamic boarding schools in Jepara. This research was carried out in several Islamic boarding schools in Jepara district. This study uses a qualitative method by emphasizing descriptive and problem analysis using a type of problem analysis (field research) that focuses on the analytical studies. So this research is an attempt to prove the development and finding concrete evidence of the truth of an existing model. The results of the study show that development is a method used for a particular product outcome and testing the effectiveness of the product. Efforts to develop new knowledge and findings. So this research is an attempt to prove the development and also find the real evidence and the truth of an existing model. The result of this research support the learning process such as the existence of projector facilities, laptops and audio, so that the learning process will be supported by these facilities, and also the teacher is greatly helped by these facilities as evidenced during the learning process the teacher delivers the material by using all of these facilities so that students not feel saturated in the class.]

AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to reveal how the quality of education in this Islamic boarding school is, particularly related to education facilities, curriculum and strategies of education quality improve­ments. This study used the qualitative method. Findings of this study are: first, education infrastructure and facilities are relatively complete and adequate, which are supported by the atmosphere of the Islamic boarding school that is full of simplicity and modesty by habituation in implementing clean and healthy lifestyle. Second, the tafaqquh fi-al din (understanding of religion)-based curriculum compiled by the Islamic boarding school occupies the same degree (equal) to the curriculum prepared by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, so that both tafaqquh fi-al din (understanding of religion) studies and general studi­es have high electability, which is able to increase the quality of education and also generates interest and motivation of the people (parents) to put their children to the Islamic boarding school. Third, education in the Islamic boarding school has a strong independency because it is supported by substantial financial resources.AbstrakTujuan tulisan ini untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana mutu pendidikan di pondok pesantren ini, khususnya berkaitan dengan sarana pendidikan, kurikulum dan sterategi peningkatan mutu pendidik­an. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Hasil temuan studi ini adalah: Pertama, sarana dan fasilitas pendidikan relatif lengkap dan memadai, ini didukung oleh suasana kehidupan pondok pesan­tren yang penuh kesederhanaan dan kebersahajaan dengan pembiasaan menerapkan pola hidup bersih dan sehat. Kedua, kurikulum yang berbasis tafaqquh fi-al din yang disusun oleh pondok pesantren ini menempati derajat yang sama (equal) dengan kurikulum yang disusun Kementerian Agama, sehinga baik kajian tafaqquh fi al-din maupun pelajaran umum memiliki electabilitas yang tinggi, hal ini mampu meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan sekaligus membangkitkan animo dan motivasi masyarakat (orangtua) untuk memasukkan anaknya ke pesantren ini. Ketiga, penyelenggaraan pendidikan di pon­dok pesantren ini memiliki kemandirian yang kuat, karena didukung oleh sumber dana yang besar.

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan sistem dakwah Pondok Pesantren At-Tawazun ditinjau melalui sistem terbuka mulai dari tahap input, conversion, output, feedback, hingga environment dalam upaya mengatasi problematika santri yang dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan zaman. Penelitian yang dilakukan ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan spesifikasi penelitian field research (penelitian lapangan). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan pondok pesantren At-Tawazun dirasakan cukup besar manfaatnya oleh orang tua maupun masyarakat. Lembaga dakwah dan pendidikan ini telah ikut berkontribusi dalam menanggulangi masalah sosial dan kenakalan remaja yang semakin rumit, sehingga mampu memberikan lulusan santri yang brakhlak, berbudi luhur dan mampu mengamalkan ilmunya di masyarakat. Lebih dari itu, kehadiran pondok pesantren At-Tawazun diharapkan dapat mengatasi akulturasi budaya yang menyimpang di era sekarang ini. Sehingga semangat generasi muda kita dapat disalurkan terhadak hal-hal positif, untuk kemajuan Agama dan Negara. This paper aims to describe the da’wah system of At-Tawazun Islamic Boarding School through an open system starting from the input, conversion, output, feedback, and environment stages in an effort to overcome the problems of santri that are influenced by the times. This research uses case study method with qualitative approach and field research specification (field research). The results of this study indicate that the existence of the At-Tawazun Islamic Boarding Scool was felt to be of considerable benefit by parent and community. This da’wah and education institution has contributed to tackling social problems and juvenile delinquency that are increasingly complicated, so as to be able to provide graduates who are morally, virtous and able to practice their knowledge in the community, moreover, the presence of the At-Tawazun Islamic Boarding School is expected to overcome the deviant cultural acculturation in the present era. So that the spirit of our young generation can be channeled suddenly to positive things, for the advancement of Religion and the state.
