The role of visualization of educational material in distance learning

The article discusses the principles that are the foundation of distance learning: completeness, systematicity, availability and openness of materials, interactivity. The main groups of problems that all participants in the educational process faced during the massive transition from full-time education to distance learning were identified — technological, organizational, methodological, as well as the problems of teachers and students being unprepared for this form of education. Examples of the most popular programs for audio and video conferencing are given, which are used by teachers to implement the principle of interactivity in distance learning. The results of a survey of students of the College for the Training of Social Workers of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Moscow City, which indicate the implementation of the principle of accessibility and non-compliance with the principle of interactivity in distance learning in a pandemic, are presented. Particular attention is paid to the use of the technology of visualization as a means of increasing the effectiveness of distance learning and the implementation of its principles. The online platform Online Test Pad, which can be used in distance learning, is considered. The use of this platform contributes to the implementation of the principles of completeness, accessibility and openness of distance learning.

The article presents the experience of mass organization of distance learning in organizations of secondary general and vocational education in March—May 2020 in connection with the difficult epidemiological situation in Russia. The possibilities of the 1C:Education system for organizing the educational process in a distance format, the peculiarities of organizing distance interaction in schools and colleges are considered, the results of using the system are summarized, examples of the successful use of the system in specific educational organizations are given. Based on the questionnaire survey of users, a number of capabilities of the 1C:Education system have been identified, which are essential for the full-fledged transfer of the educational process from full-time to distance learning. The nature and frequency of the use of electronic educational resources in various general education subjects in schools and colleges are analyzed, the importance of the presence in the distance learning system not only of a digital library of ready-made educational materials, but also of tools for creating author’s content is assessed. On the basis of an impersonal analysis of user actions in the system, a number of problems were identified that teachers and students faced in the process of an emergency transition to distance learning.

Under the conditions of quarantine, distance learning turned out to be the only acceptable form of education, which corresponds to the current world norms of today's postmodern world space, because this type of organization of the educational process is included in the list of institutional forms along with full-time, part-time, network, and the like. Each institution of higher education, within the granted autonomy, has developed and implemented a system of measures for the technological and technical aspects of the implementation of the educational process under quarantine conditions. Along with the variety of forms of production of distance education, there are common problems and challenges for higher education institutions: the workload of both teachers and students has significantly increased; revealed the need for intensive training in the use of distance forms in the educational process; work intensified and it turned out to be obvious that specialized distance learning centers were functioning on the basis of higher educational institutions; Students with special educational needs require significant attention, both in terms of socio-psychological support and support in distance learning. The recommendations of the world community on the course of the educational process in the conditions of quarantine are considered. Most international organizations have implemented the statements and issued a set of recommendations for education systems that countries can use in making policy decisions and implementing specific action plans.

The article is devoted to the analysis of training methods in higher educational institutions, the comparison of the main characteristics of the educational process in institutions of full-time and distance learning, their disadvantages in modern conditions are identified, the main advantages of distance learning, compared to the ways of providing and processing information, the interaction of teachers and students of different forms of education, the application of methods of facilitation and development of cognitive flexibility in modern distance education are considered. The directions of distance learning influence on the process of formation of students' creativity and freedom of opinions, ability to search for solutions, and aspiration to self-education are described. The relationship between the methods of facilitation and formation of cognitive flexibility in students' education is revealed. The main directions of self-improvement and peculiar characteristics of teachers who can perform the functions of a facilitator of the educational process are described. The influence of the teacher-facilitator and distance education methods directly as a facilitator of the process of formation of cognitive flexibility of students is considered.

The article discusses aspects of the organization of distance learning using educational platforms, the capabilities of Google Tables and distance communication systems. The experience of organizing distance learning also in the mode of full-time education is given. The transition to a distance learning format was the only way to continue training and effective feedback with students in a pandemic, but, as practice has shown, the skills of organizing training in a distance format have been closely integrated into the educational process, especially for an open school. The use of a Russian educational platform with ready-made tools for teaching, monitoring and analyzing the data obtained made it possible in the shortest possible time to restructure the learning process with minimal labor costs for both school teachers and students and their parents.

The article describes an empirical study of the psychological safety of the educational environment in the connection with the problem of attitude to distance learning among students. The study involved 1,177 students 11–19 years old. We use comparative analysis for independent samples formed on the basis of a preference for distance or full-time learning as statistical analysis methods. The results of the study allow to analyze the role of psychological safety in ensuring the effectiveness of the educational process.

The article examines the features of the transformation of the role of a teacher in higher education in connection with the digitalization of education in the period before the pandemic, and during the transition of the university to a forced remote mode under the conditions of the pandemic. The assessment of the effectiveness of distance learning from the point of view of students and teachers is given. The purpose of the article is to determine expectations, the degree and nature of the influence of the teacher's personality on the effectiveness of educational process in general and distance learning in particular. Researching the effectiveness of higher education in the digital age and assessing the impact on teacher effectiveness involves the use of a number of scientific principles and research methods, theoretical and empirical. To achieve the goal, the scientific works of leading foreign and Russian scientists on the problems of digitalization of education, dehumanization of education, transformation of the role of the teacher have been analyzed, and our own research has been carried out on the basis of the Moscow Polytechnic University in the form of a survey. An assessment of the emotional consequences of isolation is given. The analysis of the effectiveness of distance learning, from the point of view of higher education teachers and students has been carried out. The expectations of students and the change in the role of a teacher of higher education as a result of expansion of functional responsibilities under the circumstances of distance learning are described. Long before the coronavirus pandemic, digitalization had been a trend in the education system. A year of distance learning has revolutionized higher education. The role of a teacher in higher education has been transformed with a significant expansion of functions and a rapid increase in the level of competencies.

The article is devoted to one of the advanced formats of foreign language teaching at high school, which effectively complements extramural and full-time forms of education – distance learning. The author emphasizes that the quality and effectiveness of foreign languages distance learning athigher educational establishments depends on effectively organized course; the pedagogical skills of teachers, participating in the educational process; the quality of applied methodical content.The main principles of foreign languages distance learning in higher education has been covered, the means of improving the quality and effectiveness of this educational format has been proposed, the key conceptual regulations of foreign languages distance learning has been determined. The article proposes a model for organizing foreign languages distance learning course for future specialists, describes a system to control and monitor the knowledge of all types of speech activities. It is also noted that independent work in the foreign languages distance course at high school should not be passive, but on the contrary, the student should be involved in active cognitive activities, not limited to acquiring foreign language skills, but necessarily includes their practical application; to solve certain communicative tasks in the future professional activity.The article concludes that in the process of organizing the foreign language distance learning course at high school, it is necessary to take into account not only the didactic characteristics and functions of multimedia and telecommunications as a technological basis, but also the conceptual trends of didactic distance learning as a component of modern education. The problem of introducing distance learning in primary school is actualized by the development of social networks and Internet technologies, which open unlimited horizons for their application in educational activities. In addition, the introduction of quarantine in Ukraine requires primary school teachers to find ways to effectively master the program material. Among such ways is distance learning. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the specifics and possibilities of organizing the educational process in primary school with the use of distance learning. In the process of scientific research methods of analysis, synthesis, generalization and systematization were used. Distance learning in primary school is defined as a form of organization and implementation of the educational process, in which the subjects of learning (teachers and students) in the online mode carry out educational interaction in principle and mainly extraterritorially. In the context of reforming modern Ukrainian education, a number of e-platforms have been created for the organization of distance learning for primary school students. An effective commercial platform for distance learning is the service "My Class", which contains online courses from 1st to 11th grade, which contain lessons that integrate theoretical (test presentation of content) and practical (individual tasks that can be solved independently of each other, a block of tasks that need to be solved sequentially, guidelines) blocks. Result. Emphasis is placed on the requirements to be met by a primary school teacher when organizing distance learning in primary school during the quarantine period and it is suggested to advise parents who will work remotely with junior students in the initial stages of distance learning, gradually transferring activity to children.

The article indicates the importance of the principles of pedagogical design and pedagogical design in ensuring the effectiveness of e-learning. The author considers the features and advantages of blended learning for both students and university teachers in general, shows the possibilities of using the electronic environment within the framework of full-time and distance learning. The practical aspect of these problems is considered, which is associated with the fact that few teachers are ready to master the latest technologies, design the content and organizational aspects of the digital educational space, adapt the educational process to the requirements of an innovative society, since there are no ideas about the digital educational space as a whole.

The experience of educational work in conditions of quarantine and lockdowns allowed in practice to study the possibilities of distance learning and to form an objective assessment of it in the structure of continuous medical education (CME) for doctors. The survey participants noted the following disadvantages of online distance learning events: the lack of an opportunity to receive information that is of interest to the listener in an in-depth format and in a specific form, because the prevailing volume of videoconferences does not allow for discussions, exchange of experience, review of clinical cases, etc. Distance learning significantly limits the possibilities of practical skills and abilities, the mastering of which is up to 75% of the study time in the format of full-time and part-time education. The positive aspects, from the point of view of distance learning participants, include: the opportunity to get points for registering a teaching staff without interrupting their main work, the ability to choose topics and the modernity of information events. However, the traditional full-time and part-time forms of education also have their drawbacks, namely, for example: to travel and live in the cities where events are held in the absence of state funding for these expenses, that is, at the expense of the doctor himself. The use of innovative educational technologies, such as distance learning and online communication, in the training of doctors cannot fully replace the classical forms of education. The optimal are the combined forms of the educational process organization, which make it possible to rationally use the resource of the participants in the educational process.
