Everyday and public life, contents of newspaper headlines, films, internet contents, social networks and practically all segments of life abound in scenes and descriptions of violence. The paper presents the characters of women who are portrayed as persons subject to subordination and other forms of violence within the literary works represented in the teaching of Serbian language and literature. The structure of the paper shows the analysis of the characters of individual women from the point of view of gender equality and position in society, but also the contextualization of the work. Aspects of noticing domestic violence and subordination of women throughout history are given, in almost all epochs of Serbian literature. The role of teaching literature in the educational process is to point out to students the manifestation of different types of behavior and to prepare children to see reality in constant comparison with the theme of the work. In recent times, we are facing the problem of gender equality and the idea of gender equality is becoming more and more prominent. The aim of this paper is to point out the importance of the content of teaching units in creating student awareness that violence is an extremely negative trait and that every kind of such behavior should be suppressed. Through independent presentations of students based on the analysis of individual female characters, interdisciplinary competencies are developed: problem solving, communication skills, skills of cooperation and life in a democratic society.

The purpose and tasks of the work are to analyze the contemporary Ukrainian mass culture in terms of its value and humanistic components, as well as the importance of cultural studies and Ukrainian studies in educational disciplines for the formation of a holistic worldview of modern youth.Analysis of research and publications. Scientists repeatedly turned to the problems of the role of spirituality in the formation of society and its culture. This problem is highlighted in the publications by O. Losev, V. Lytvyn, D. Likhachev, S. Avierintsev, M. Zakovych, I. Stepanenko and E. Kostyshyn.Experts see the main negative impact of mass culture on the quality approach, which determines mass culture through the market, because mass culture, from our point of view, is everything that is sold and used in mass demand. One of the most interesting studies on this issue was the work by the representatives of Frankfurt School M. Horkheimer and T. Adorno «Dialectics of Enlightenment» (1947), devoted to a detailed analysis of mass culture. Propaganda at all socio-cultural levels in the form is similar in both totalitarian and democratic countries. It is connected, according to the authors, with the direction of European enlightenment. The tendency to unify people is a manifestation of the influence of mass culture, from cinema to pop. Mass culture is a phenomenon whose existence is associated with commerce (accumulation in any form – this is the main feature of education), in general, the fact that it exists in this form is related to the direction of the history of civilization.Modern mass culture, with its externally attractive and easily assimilated ideas and symbols, appealing to the trends of modern fashion, becomes a standard of prestigious consumption, does not require intense reflection, allows you to relax, distract, not teach, but entertains, preaches hedonism as the main spiritual value. And as a consequence, there are socio-cultural risks: an active rejection of other people, which leads to the formation of indifference; cruelty as a character trait; increase of violent and mercenary crime; increase in the number of alcohol and drug addicts; anti-patriotism; indifference to the values of the family and as a result of social orphanhood and prostitution. Conclusions, perspectives of research. Thus, we can conclude that modern Ukrainian education is predominantly formed by the values of mass culture. Namely, according to the «Dialectic» by Horkheimer and Adorno, «semi-enlightenment becomes an objective spirit» of our modern society. It is concluded that only high-quality education can create the opposite of the onset of mass culture and the destruction of spirituality in our society. It is proved that only by realizing the importance of cultivating disciplines in the educational process and the spiritual upbringing of the nation, through educational reforms, humanitarian knowledge will gradually return to student audiences.Formation of youth occurs under the influence of social environment, culture, education and self-education. The optimal combination of these factors determines both the process of socialization itself and how successful it will be. In this context, one can see the leading role of education and upbringing. It turns out that the main task of modern education is to spread its influence on the development of spiritual culture of the individual, which eventually becomes a solid foundation for the formation of the individual. Such a subject requires both philosophical and humanitarian approaches in further integrated interdisciplinary research, since the availability of such research will provide the theoretical foundation for truly modern educational and personal development.

Concentrating on the role of supply chain decoupling point, this chapter introduces different levels of customisation and mass operations and three types of mass customisation. It argues that in each mass customisation type, information systems which are upstream and downstream of the decoupling point can be varied. Consequently, information flows in different types of mass customisation have been examined. This analysis is an endeavour to organise mass customisation information systems across the supply chain, while it can be a useful structure for future researches in this area as well.

Constructivism allows the student to build knowledge and learning on his own. Through the discovery, experimentation, and tests, the student tries to consolidate the learning objects. Τhis chapter approaches constructivism through the use of methods used by information technology. An advantage of IT tools is the interaction that turns the teaching into experiential and experimental where the student tries to evaluate and improve his abilities. Methods such as robotics, interactive television, and the use of the internet provide forms of interactive learning based on the methodology of game-based learning, which contribute to constructivism. In this chapter, once the construction and importance in education and especially in IT is presented, the importance of game-based learning and video games is presented. The authors show the role of robotics and the internet in relation to the interaction they offer, and also the role of interactive television in the educational process from the point of view of constructivism.

Information literacy is a fundamental component of the educational process. One of the most essential considerationsinvolved in the course of providing effective education to students, is the need to instil in them the need to be awareof the information and facts that most impact their own lives and the societies in which they live. Informationliteracy includes accessing the essential pieces of information that are necessary for the purpose of functioning as afully informed adult in a democratic society. When these statements are considered within the scope of education andforeign or second language teaching, it is apparent that teachers need to be information literates since they are theones who transfer information or show the way towards it. In order to find out the Information literacy levels of thestudents of two state universities in Turkey, a survey was conducted in the study. The participants were the studentsof the English Language and Literature departments of these universities. As one of universities prefers to remainanonymous, we called them University1 and 2 in the study. University 1 had 50 participants and University 2 had 47,so there were a total of 97 participants in the survey. Descriptive research design was used in this research. The twouniversities were compared, from the point of view of information literacy awareness in the study, and somedifferences were found. For further studies, many more universities can be included in order to obtain a more generaland common conclusions.

The aim of this paper is to introduce inversion-based engineering applications and to investigate some of the important ones from mathematical point of view. To do this we employ acoustic, electromagnetic, and elastic waves for presenting different types of inverse problems. More specifically, we first study location, shape, and boundary parameter reconstruction algorithms for the inaccessible targets in acoustics. The inverse problems for the time-dependent differential equations of isotropic and anisotropic elasticity are reviewed in the following section of the paper. These problems were the objects of the study by many authors in the last several decades. The physical interpretations for almost all of these problems are given, and the geophysical applications for some of them are described. In our last section, an introduction with many links into the literature is given for modern algorithms which combine techniques from classical inverse problems with stochastic tools into ensemble methods both for data assimilation as well as for forecasting.

The article deals with the phenomena of lifestyle and educational environment of confessional educational organizations. The methodological basis of the research is based on general scientific methodological approaches (system, comparative, historical, ontological) and special scientific methodological approaches: a system-activity approach, which assumes a motivated solution of problems in the educational process determined by problem situations; a cultural approach that allows us to correlate general, individual and special cultural phenomena, in particular religion and education; an anthropological approach that allowed the interpretation of knowledge from various spheres of life from the point of view of pedagogy. The article contains definitions of the following concepts: «Lifestyle of a confessional educational organization» and «Educational environment of a confessional educational organization». The role of religious worship in the development and functioning of the confessional educational environment is noted. The main factors of the external environment that have a determining influence on the confessional educational environment are highlighted. The author emphasizes the open nature of the modern confessional educational process, which unfolds in the context of a dialogue between all its parties: the religious denomination, the state and the individual.

This study evaluates the role of antistripping agents to resist moisture-induced damage in asphalt binders. A total of five different types of antistripping agents are used. Plastomer and elastomer modified asphalt binders are used to modify the original base binder. Functionalized and non-functionalized AFM tips are used to determine adhesion in asphalt. With-CH3 tip, lime is found to be the most effective to protect moisture damage in asphalt binder as the adhesion loss is almost zero. The statistical tests show the Pearson values are very close to-1 that indicates a good correlation among the variables. Also the p-values are well below the prescribed value of 0.2% that indicates the test results to be significant from the statistical point of view.

This article is devoted to strategy named "dialogue with the text" for development of text and culturological knowledge and abilities of pupils of schools of the ethnic minorities of Latvia. Formulating the problem of research, authors focus attention on the reasons of difficulties which are experienced by pupils of diaspora perceiving the implied levels of the text. The authors of article emphasize, that necessity of the decision of this problem is caused first of all by an insufficient level of a Russian cultural knowledge and a culturological lexicon. Russian pupils lived in Latvia don’t know the realities and values of the Russian culture. The authors researched the problem in real educational process. The methodology of research is based on strategy “dialogue with the text". The authors of paper have analysed the reasons why this strategy effectively “works” in the described pedagogical conditions. In the center of the authors attention are the didactic methods and receptions which promote to form the textual competence of pupils. As an illustration authors give detailed description of their own experiment. In the article authors tell about diagnostics of text and culturological knowledge and abilities of pupils. This diagnostics includes questioning, group research and the standardized composition. The main results of the diagnostics are given in tables and in description of speech behavior of the pupils. In the final part of the article the authors draws the reader’s attention to the the analysis of the actual points of view in modern pedagogics on the problem of reading. In conclusion authors point out that productive text activity allows to expand a culturological outlook of diaspora pupils, and also purposefully and successfully to improve dialogue, communicative and textual abilities of the pupils. Besides the authors of the article emphasize the integrative role of text activity of the pupils wich promotes education humanitarization. Key words: strategy "dialogue with the text", implied levels of the text, communicative, text and culturological abilities, pupils of schools of the ethnic minorities.
