This library research aimed at finding the three aspect of discourse analysis: contextual, grammatical and lexical aspect of Michael Heart’s song lyrics entitled “We will not go down (Song for Gaza). After analysis it can be found that the life experience and background of the song writer and singer is closely related to the idea proposes within the song lyrics. Whereas, the result of the grammatical and lexical analysis gives a depiction of cohesion and coherence of the song discourse of “We will not Go Down (Song for Gaza)”. There are eight (8) forms of first plural personal pronoun of “We”, four (4) second plural personal pronoun of ‘You” and seven (7) third personal pronouns in various forms. On the other side, it is difficult to find lexical aspects of this song discourse. There is only one form of anaphoric repetition. The repetition of the sentence “We Will Not Go Down” seven times is to influence the hearers whether they are supporters or opponents of the idea brought by the singer/the author that whatever happens Palestinian people will not surrender to every force, nation or people that want to colonialize them.

AbstractThis paper intends to criticize he views on territorial spirits developed by C. Peter Wagner. In his hypothesis he argued "the key for spreading the gospel is spiritual warfare, however, there is one sub-category of spiritual warfare that has great potential to accelerate world evangelization, namely the destruction of the power of territorial spirits Wagner's view of territorial spirits, although controversial in various fields, but it’s actually accepted and practiced in certain churches in Indonesia. To examine this view, the author uses methodological library research which is classified as a type of qualitative research. This research found that Wagner was actually developing his ideas on the principle of "rejection-acceptance" which is loaded with pragmatism. Wagner's self-interest plays a very important role so that his view is his personal interpretation of the facts he presents. Wagner does not really allow facts to speak first, however, interprets facts first, so the results will definitely match his presumption.  Finally, Wagner overly relates all matters to spiritual warfare, so that it causes him to tend to understand everything from the point of war. Wagner's view emphasizing only one side and ignoring the other sides finally made his theory lame. Keywords: Critical studies; views of territorial spirits; spiritual warfare; the principle of refusal acceptance; accelerated evangelism.

The rapid development of technology is expected to develop the teaching and learning of Arabic. However, due to some problems, this aim is yet to achieve. This descriptive qualitative research is to identify problems faced by Indonesian learners of Arabic and to explore the types of problems and the solutions. Based on a library research, there are two main problems in teaching and learning of Arabic. They are internal and external problems as well as linguistic and non-linguistic problems. Internal problems are related to learners while external problems are related to environment and teachers. Linguistic problems deal with sound system, vocabulary, semantics, syntax, morphology, and writing. Nonlinguistic problems are those dealing with school facility, family, and learners’ internal factors. Learners facing linguistic problems should be given exercises to improve their linguistic competence and those facing non-linguistic problems should be given motivation, feedback, and helped to view the process of Arabic learning as something fun. Families should consider the most appropriate school for their children. Schools, on the other hand, are responsible to give the best facilities such as experienced teachers and learning facilities that are able to boost learners’ language learning, as well as giving weak learners additional materials to improve their ability. This discussion is expected to reveal the factors causing the problems and identify their possible solutions. Thus, this research is significant as it contributes to solve problems in non-Arab learning of Arabic.

Reality of pluralism in the contexs of Indonesia on the one hand, is a challenge towards the implementation of Christian Religious Education. However, on the other hand, Christian Religious Education is becoming very essential for Christians to demonstrate the love of God in the midst of society. Christians are always in touch with adherents of other religions, even that kind of relation feels so strong in various areas of life. This problem triggers how the idea of implementing the Christian Education is relevant in the pluralistic context in Indonesia. This study was analyzed using qualitative research methods through library research techniques. Findings showed that, in the pluralistic context, the implementation of Christian Religious Education in Indonesia as an integral part of the mission can be carried out through three aspects, namely: revitalizing the thinking paradigm about pluralism; interpreting the implementation strategy of Christian Religious Education in a pluralistic society; and mainstreaming and buliding the vision and mission of multicultural based Christian Religious Education.
