AbstractThe presence of Pesantren for women in Indonesia is nothing new as, since tens of years ago, Islamic boarding schools for women have their own share in the society. Besides having peculiarities, Islamic boarding school for women is certainly capable of preparing the younger generation of educators in the future. Diniyah Putri Lampung (DPL) can be considered the only female Islamic boarding school that has a plus in education in this region. In addition to equipping students with the academic knowledge, it also prepares them with a number of practical knowledge which would be useful when they get married. Throughqualitative research, it was found that Diniyah Putri Lampung was founded by some public figures of Lampung who care about education. They sent some young women to study at Diniyah Putri in Padang Panjang, West Sumatera, to study. It can be concluded that DPL is a “copy” of Diniyah Putri in Padang Panjang in terms of education, cadre preparation, and curriculum.

Entrepreneurship development for Islamic boarding school students is now a necessity, especially for the salafiyah Islamic boarding schools. The challenge for santri at the salafiyah Islamic boarding school after graduating from the Islamic boarding school is finding work. It's just that salafiyah Islamic boarding school graduates are only provided with religious education, not including general education. This causes the pesantren students to compete hard for jobs. Becoming an entrepreneur is one of the solutions for salafiyah boarding school students. Before becoming entrepreneurs, it is necessary to socialize what business ideas are suitable for students, especially to increase readiness and interest in entrepreneurship. This article examines the appropriation and redirection of the Gothic in two contemporary, Native-centered feature films that concern a history that can be said to haunt many Native North American communities today: the history of Indian boarding schools. Georgina Lightning’s Older than America (2008) and Kevin Willmott’s The Only Good Indian (2009) make use of Gothic conventions and the figures of the ghost and the vampire to visually relate the history and horrors of Indian boarding schools. Each of these Native-centered films displays a cinematic desire to decenter Eurocentric histories and to counter mainstream American genres with histories and forms of importance to Native North American peoples. Willmott’s film critiques mythologies of the West and frontier heroism, and Lightning attempts to sensitize non-Native viewers to contemporary Native North American concerns while also asserting visual sovereignty and affirming spiritual values.

The future of the energy sector depends on the younger generation. The paper presents the results of the study, the aim of which was to determine to what extent younger generation is pro-ecological and pro-social, and whether they will include pro-ecological and pro-social activities in the management of energy companies. It is especially important to implement sustainable management in the energy sector. The study found that only 33.9% of young people are highly pro-ecological and 28.6% highly pro-social. As many as 83.0% of the younger generation show low and medium interest in environmental protection. Declarations of young people concerning high degree of inclusion of pro-ecological and pro-social activities in management are at the level of 49.9% and 58.1%. However, in many cases, these intentions do not coincide with the high pro-ecological and pro-social attitude of young people. This means that their future activity for sustainable management may be low. According to the survey, the younger generation to a large extent is not prepared to continue efforts for sustainable development in the future in the energy companies.

The following editorial published in 1856 in Hall's Journal of Health, a well- read publication of the 1850s, will vividly demonstrate how much our attitude toward rearing our daughters has changed since 1856. OUR DAUGHTERS Are the hope of our country's future. Their physical, moral and domestic education, are of an importance which no array of figures can express, which multitudes of ponderous tomes could not adequately portray. As is the mother, so is the man. If she be a woman of physical vigor, a high guaranty is given of healthy children. If her moral character is pure, formed in the mould of Bible piety, we may anticipate for her offspring, lives of the self same piety, with its benevolent influences spreading far and wide, from all their habitations. If the mother in her domestic relations, be a pattern for all that is cleanly and systematic, and punctual and prompt and persevering, with womanly dignity and lovingness pervading all, then may we look for every son of such a woman to be a man of mark for his time, and for every daughter, to become a wife well worthy of a king. When such destinies hang upon the future of our daughters, ought they to be hurried from a loving mother's side at seventeen, at fifteen, at twelve, to be purchased care of a governess? To the herded tuition of fashionable boarding schools, where glitter and superficiality and empty show predominate; where nothing that is radically useful and good is thorough; where associations are inevitable, with the children of the parvenue, as well as with the scion of the decayed aristocrat, thus exposing the pure heart to the withering and corrupting examples of mere pretence and of baseless pride?
