Darul Hijrah Islamic Boarding School for females is a women's Islamic education institution in Martapura South Kalimantan and has been established since 1995. With a long time of more than 20 years, this boarding school has experienced many developments, especially in terms of development, but the development of Islamic boarding schools in the future will be increasingly complex considering the existence of government business programs that want to cooperate with the world of Islamic Boarding Schools in terms of the creative economy, this is intended to develop the economy and Human Resources (HR) within the boarding school environment. So from that the development of the creative economy as a learning media needs to be included to maintain the existence of this boarding school in the future. The method that was used in this report is a programming method which has two main steps: a) Programming which is a problem-tracking and; b) Schematic Design; a problem solving. The results of the method used finally got the Islamic creative educative place concept which is a combination of the two main variables namely Islamic education and creative education

Islamic boarding school is the oldest Islamic education institution in Indonesia. The yellow book which is a compulsory curriculum is the root of literacy culture in Islamic boarding schools. The development of technology and information is one of the reasons for the decline in literacy in Indonesian society, including in Islamic boarding schools. Thus, strengthening the literacy culture in Islamic boarding schools needs to be done.

Islamic boarding school in its dynamic is regarded to have its own identity which is termed with subculture by KH. Abdurrahman Wahid. Honestly, it must be admitted that there is a certain tradition that grows and thrives in Islamic boarding school society. However, it is not a reality outside of  Islamic boarding school society. Undeniably, when the outside environment begins incessant with modernization issues, the “uniqueness” in Islamic boarding school environment makes Islamic boarding school tradition more lively and interesting to be discussed. Environment Islamic boarding schools implication in modern time is less known and marginal, which slowly change to be something interesting among scientists and academics. One of its pieces of evidence is the emergence of an idea from part of the Islamic education observers with an educational modern system to present alternative education discourse. It is in line with Islamic boarding schools whose progress is identical with Islamic education that experiences a transformation along with changes of accompanying situation.

<p>This article is written to give an overview of the conceptual view of Multicultural Education in Madrasah Diniyah (Islamic Primary School) as a Prevention of Religious Conservatism. This paradigm is based on issue anxiety which often assumes that Islamic education as an agent of change has not revealed its function to change moderate and tolerant religious perspectives. The model offered is planting the values of multicultural education in theMadrasah Diniyah. The existence of Madrasah Diniyah as a non-formal Islamic education institution, both those in the boarding school environment and those that stand independently, has played a large role in engendering to Muslim intellectuals through education and teaching that have given starting from the basic level to the upper levels of religious understanding.</p>

Pesantren as Islamic education institution have two main focuses in organizing their activities programs; first is the aspect of learning, and second is the aspect of Education. In the Learning aspect, the Santri gained cognitive knowledge from Kitab Kuning book, whereas the Santri obtained the affective and psychomotor aspects through the boarding education system. Where the Santri lives with his friends, teachers, and Kyai together in the scope of Pondok or dormitory. The purpose of writing this paper is to describe dormitory management with a managerial perspective. The conclusion is that the dormitory management concept, which includes planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, has been carried out by boarding schools. Optimizing the management functions of the management of the dormitory will assist the board in achieving the main objectives of boarding school.

Pondok Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) is one of the non-formal education which was founded by ulama figures (kyai) as a place to gain religious knowledge. Currently, Islamic boarding schools have undergone many changes, these changes are marked by the inclusion of formal/general education in pesantren. The purpose of this study was to determine how the strategy of the entrepreneurial spirit in the Al-Khoirot Islamic boarding school environment, Malang Regency. The method used in this study is a qualitative research based on the philosophy of postpositivism. The results of this study conclude that the strategy for developing an entrepreneurial spirit in the Al-Khoirot Islamic boarding school is by direct assistance by caregivers and head of the board to students who have the will to learn skills. To develop the creative economy in the Al-Khoirot Islamic boarding school environment, students are given the task of making various forms of different and interesting skills.

Islamic Boarding school is an islamic education institution which has an identical tradition in indonesian muslim societuy. This institution has emerged long before the colonialism era in Indonesia. In its long history since years to pursue the concept of modernism, islamic boarding school, sometimes ,has also been perceived negatively because of transnasionalism ideology which is adopted in recent years. In that case, this paper aimed to describe the existence of islamic boarding school in indonesian social life. By argumenting and comparing some previous studies in this case to gain an accurate result. Moreover, this paper is intended to answer some western perception about islamic boarding school in Indonesia, and finally emphasize the role of islamic boarding school as a government partner and its function in creating democracy.  Keyword: Islamic Boarding School, Tradition, Modernization.

The study aimed at exploring Zarkasyi’s thought to be implemented as Islamiceducation reformation model for Islamic society modernization. The limitations of the study wereZarkasyi’s curriculum, empowerment on organizational management, and ethics training in Islamicboarding school. The finding revealed in three main points. First, Zarkasyi’s believed that IslamicEducation curriculum were to cover both religious principles, and modern sciences as well. Thus,the students were expected to master both Arabic and English. Second, organizational and charity(wakaf) management required significant improvement to strengthen Islamic boarding schoolinstitution in accordance to modern principles. Third, Islamic education boarding schools were toemphasize on values of sincerity, simplicity, independence, solidarity, and freedom to raise theawareness of the ethics in Islamic education schools. Pesantren is Islamic education institution that still be needed by the Ummah. The study of kitab kuning is an important element of it, and this generally tends to be stagnant, for various reasons. Therefore the study of the use of kitab kuning in pesantren is urgent. This research highlights the reality of kitab kuning study in boarding school, mainly Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Ternate. This is qualitative research in which the data collection techniques are interview, observation and study of documents and literature. The analysis of the data is qualitative description. The result of this research shows that Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Ternate, which was established in 1994, includes a combination between Islamic boarding school system and formal education units in the form of schools and madrasas. Basically the santri are lodged. The boarding school students are junior and senior high school students, both male and female. The male and female campuses are separated by a distance of about 1 km. They are all participated in tahfidz Alquran and ta’līm diniyyah. The books studied in this boarding school are limited to 5 books that outlined by the Central Executive, regarding Aqidah, Fikih, Tafsir, Sirah and Arabic. The study of these books uses lecture method and the santris only gather and heed without having the book.

Islamic Boarding School is a life-oriented Islamic education institution that emphasizes the importance of having a religious attitude and good emotional intelligence in students as a form of motivation that supports good performance and brings the good name of the Islamic boarding school. This study aims to prove how the direct and indirect influence of Religiosity and Emotional Intelligence on performance with motivation as an intervening variable. The sample in this study was the member of the Student Organization of Modern Islamic Boarding School Nurul Hakim Tembung, totaling 47 people. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach using path analysis with multiple linear regression models with SPSS version 20. The results of this study found that religiosity does not affect motivation. Emotional intelligence has a significant effect on motivation. Motivation does not affect performance. Indirectly Religiosity does not affect performance through motivation. Emotional intelligence indirectly does not affect performance through motivation.   Religiosity, Emotional Intelligence, Motivation, Performance.

Educational management is an important reference in the management of industrial-based Islamic boarding schools. When the management of a leader must go through several things, including planning, organizing, and planning industry-based learning. This research includes a qualitative descriptive approach to da'wah management. The data source used in this research is a literature review. Collecting data in this study using observation, interviews, and documentation. Islamic boarding school Darussalam Al-Fatah Cilacap is an industry-based Islamic boarding school. This was done to follow developments in the industrial revolution 4.0. Therefore, researchers feel it is important for the management of Islamic education at the Darussalam Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school in Cilacap. The results of the application of Islamic education management include, a) soroggan, with the bin-nazhr method, the tahfidz method, the talaqqi method, and the tikrar method, b) taddabur, c) habituation of the Hasbanah and Isyraq prayers, d) rewards for students, e ) the application of industrial learning, and f) the benefits of evaluating industry-based learning at the Darussalam Al-Fatah Cilacap Islamic boarding school.
