Medan is one of the largest cities in Indonesia after the metropolis of Jakarta also experienced strip development that has shown symptoms in the suburbs. The symptoms can identified from the aspect of land use on the outskirts of Medan in this case usually rural regions are characterized by agrarian areas switching functions to non-agrarian land, seen from the qualities of buildings in the suburbs, almost all buildings distinguished by urban or non-sectoral agrarian in a review of the building characteristics also added about the density of buildings and the number of buildings in a particular area. One of them is the problem that occurred in the corridor Dr. Mansyur. The original road capacity for calm residential traffic can no longer accommodate the dynamics of commercial activities. Traffic congestion, parking vandalism, pedestrian route malfunctioning by street vendors, the emergence of portable stands, and tent stalls on the edge of the road. The consideration will be based on predetermined variables, namely, elements of the city image, specifically paths, boundaries, regions, vertices, and landmarks. For this reason, mixed research carried out through observation and interviews and documentation studies. The results obtained from this study will show how the model of regional arrangement in anticipating the development strip of the city of Medan.

The site of Pakoštane-Crkvina, situated at the position called Košević at the west coast of the Vrana Lake, in the immediate vicinity of the road connecting Pakoštane and Vrana, has been systematically excavated by the Department of Archaeology of the University of Zadar. On this occasion the authors selected numismatic finds which were recovered during the last five research campaigns out of multitude of archaeological objects. Total of 11 coins were found so far, covering wide chronological range from the 4th to 18th centuries. Numismatic finds from the site of Pakoštane – Crkvina were poorly preserved. However after cleaning and conservation it was possible to determine with certainty dating of ten preserved numismatic finds. This numismatic material represents a reflection of historical-commercial activities of the wider Mediterranean region, including the city of Zadar and its wider surrounding which comprises the site of Pakoštane-Crkvina as its inseparable part.

Abstract Traffic congestion in the City of Surakarta gave rise to a phenomenal figure among motor vehicle drivers, called the Traffic Control Volunteers or abbreviated as Supeltas. This Supeltas is present on the road to help organize the movement of traffic, as happened at the Surakarta Ganesha Unsignalized Intersection. This study aims to determine the influence of the existence of Supeltas on capacity, degree of saturation, delay, and queuing opportunities that occur at the intersection. The analysis was carried out using the 1997 Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual. The results showed that the intersection without Supeltas had a capacity of 3,114.03 pcu/hour and a degree of saturation of 1.47, while the same intersection but with Supeltas had a capacity of 3,136.81 pcu/hour and a degree of saturation of 1.51. These results indicate that Supeltas has a positive influence on the performance of the intersection. Nevertheless, the degree of saturation in the location increased due to the increase in traffic volume as well as increased capacity. Keywords: unsignalized intersection, intersection performance, intersection capacity, degree of saturation  Abstrak Kemacetan lalu lintas di Kota Surakarta memunculkan sosok fenomenal di kalangan pengendara kendaraan bermotor, yang disebut Sukarelawan Pengatur Lalu Lintas atau disingkat Supeltas.

Kata kunci : tingkat pelayanan jalan, permasalahan parkir, persepsi masyarakat, manajemen parkirAbstract: The market is very synonymous with the center of the crowd, because the market is a trading center located in the city center which is often referred to as the Central Bussiness District (CBD). Because the market is a center of crowds that invites many people to come to the area, causing traffic congestion, due to uncontrolled traffic flow around the market. One of the traffic jams is due to uncontrolled parking, making parking conditions around the area increasingly chaotic. Aceh Market is one of the largest and most developed trade centers in the city of Banda Aceh. The increasing development of the Aceh Market area has made community movement activities increasingly increasing, which has caused a decline in the level of road services in the area, which is caused by vehicles that run slowly, parked, pedestrians and street vendors. Aceh Market has its parking facilities. Having provided parking space on the new Pasar Aceh (off-street parking) building it turns out that there are still many people who prefer on-street parking, while the parking lot on the Aceh Market building has not been fully filled, so traffic jams still occur and the chaos of traffic caused by many road users who use the road as a parking lot. The objectives of this study are: (1) evaluating road performance burdened by vehicles crossing the road in the Aceh Market area, (2) evaluating optimal parking space requirements to serve Aceh Market visitors and (3) identifying problems arising from -street parking based on people's perception. So it is expected that good parking management can be planned in the future. Keywords: level of road service, parking problems, public perception, parking management

Talking about the street vendors (PKL) and control the level of implementation like tangled yarn pointless and there is alwaysin in resistance Such an event is happening in almost all regions in Indonesia. Another case the arrangement of street vendors in Surakarta, they volunteered to move trade to a location that has been prepared by the Government carried out peacefully and not through violence, with up shuttles that have prepared the City Government with a procession of long and rousing. They joyfully to the new location. It is natural for this phenomenon by some parties understood as a successful development communication Surakarta City Government. The purpose of this study to determine the extent of the role and contribution of the mass media on the success. This study uses a mix-method approaches with sequential exploratory strategy. The results showed that the role and contribution to the effectiveness of mass media communication Surakarta City Government (2005-2012), is not so dominant, but more related to the solutions offered by the City Government of Surakarta.

The image characteristics of a city  can be seen from it main streets corridor display. One of the aspects that affected the image was related to the parking spaces and street vendors arrangement. Gajah Mada street corridor as one of the main corridor in Sidoarjo City, its main activity was highly influenced by formal and informal commercial activities. Besides having a positive impact, the informal commercial sector also gave a negative impact for the corridor area. The Street vendors have occupied the sidewalk which had lead to pedestrian spatial activities transition up to the roadside. Those activities, along with inadequate parking space, have resulted in traffic congestion along the corridor. The study aimed to formulate the Gajah Mada Street corridor arrangement optimally for all of users convenience. The observations have shown that the traffic smoothness level along the Gajah Mada street varies on each zones. The corridor arrangement strategies was initiated through the parking location, type and time settings as well as the design of each business facilities. This research also has provided policy recommendation that can be taken by the local government related to parking arrangement and street vendors activities along the Gajah Mada street corridor of Sidoarjo.

In many cities in Indonesia street vendors have given a quite significant contribution to the local’s economy. However, their physical existence oftenly gives an undesirable impact to the area itself. Aligned with the concept of regional autonomy which is regulated in the Law No 32/2004 concerning the Regional Autonomy, which was later revised by the Law N0 23/2014, provincial government has the rights as well as responsibilities to manage some of the governmental matters. The authority of Kota Bandung had issued the Regional Law No. 4/2011 concerning the management of street vendors. One of the essential matters in the respected law is the categorization of the areas for vending into three zones. One of those is the red zone, within which vendors are not allowed to exist physically, nor to have business activities. Nevertheless the law aims to accommodate as well as to manage street vendors, so that they could positively contribute to the city. This research examined whether or not law is properly implemented. It is found that the efforts to accommodate the vendors from the authorities have not been carried out optimally. The only attempt to enforce the law concerning the red zone is the repressive kind, with no permanent results of discontinuity from the part of the vendors to operate their business some time after. Almost all of the vendors interviewed stated that they had never been engaged in any form of efforts from the local government.

The purpose of the article is to assess the risks of a toll road operator arising in the event of traffic congestion at toll collection points. In the Russian Federation, in infrastructure projects, including toll road projects, the organizational and legal form of public-private partnership is often used. State authorities have the right to control the quality of the road management by the operator; the state can charge penalty points for low operational efficiency, leading to traffic congestion. The return on investment in infrastructure projects is of a long-term nature, therefore, the task of assessing the risks of possible losses by the toll road operator is quite relevant.Materials and methods. The main research tool is simulation modeling in the AnyLogic software environment, the analysis of the data obtained as a result of simulation was carried out in the environment of the statistical package R. The choice of tools is determined by a large number of subjective (sometimes technical) factors that significantly affect the road capacity at toll collection points, but do not lend themselves to strict formalization. Such factors include refusals to read electronic tolls, drivers changing lanes in the toll collection points, lack of money at the time of travel through the automatic toll lane, and others. All such factors are modeled in the AnyLogic environment as random variables with a rich choice of distribution functions and their parameters.Results. A simulation model of a toll collection point at an exit from a toll road has been created to analyze the throughput of a toll booth with various configurations of toll lanes, various levels of user behavior errors and the provision of drivers with electronic means of travel registration. Using the example of a toll collection point for the “Western High-Speed Diameter” motorway, the parameters of traffic congestion that occur when the number of operating toll lanes on the toll collection point decreases are estimated. In the event of congestion, for each configuration, estimates of the number of vehicles in the congestion, the length of the congestion, the waiting time in the queue at the entrance to the toll collection point at different times of the day, and the time of congestion are determined.Conclusion. Based on the results obtained, an assessment of the risks of non-compliance by the road operator with the standard for ensuring throughput can be carried out. To assess the risks of a toll road as a whole, it is advisable to use an individual simulation model for each toll collection point, taking into account the peculiarities of its geographical location, the composition of traffic at the facility, the regularity of user correspondence, as well as the impact of the surrounding transport, logistics and social infrastructure. In pronounced industrial and logistics areas of the city, in the border zones between the city and the region, an additional assessment of traffic intensity may be required to analyze the throughput of toll collection points, taking into account the daily, weekly and seasonal unevenness of the traffic flow.

Adapun pola penyebarannya cenderung linier mengikuti pola jalan. Strategi penataan koridor dilakukan  dengan mengatur pola parkir, jenis, waktu dan desain sarana usaha pedagang kaki lima. Dalam perencanaan tata ruang Kota Mataram, perlu mengakomodir ruang aktivitas PKL nya, tidak hanya merencanakan lokasi penempatan PKL.Abstract:  Pejanggik Road Corridor as one of the main corridors in Mataram City, Its main activities are heavily influenced by formal such as informal commercial and trade activities. The informal trade sector in addition to positively impacts and negative impacts on the region.Street vendors occupy a pedestrian walk to the shoulder leading to a pedestrian space shifting to the street plus a lack of adequate parking space, impacting the lack of circulation in vehicles passing through them. The purpose of this research is to know the patterns of activity and patterns of spread of street vendors and the arrangement strategies of street vendors based on activity patterns and spread patterns. The method of analysis used is a qualitative descriptive based on the results of interviews, observations, library studies and documentation as well as using the SWOT formula in determining the strategy of the arrangement. The results of the analysis show that every street merchant activity is influenced by a direct or indirect relationship with formal activity in the corridor and this activity is influenced by its trading time. As for the spread pattern it tends to linear following the road pattern. The corridor Setup strategy is done by arranging the parking pattern, type, time and design of the street Hawker Business. In the spatial planning of the City of Mataram, it is necessary to accommodate the space of its street vendors activities, not only to plan the location of the street vendors placement.
