Massage will also stimulate the vagus nerve which will produce gastrin and insulin enzymes so that absorption of the digestive tract is better, the stomach is empty faster, and the baby will be hungry more often, so the baby will suckle more often, and the end result will be an increase in baby's weight. One of the most important indicators in assessing nutritional fulfillment in infants is taking into account body weight (Zulhaida, 2003). Weight is the most important anthropometric measure, used at every opportunity to examine the health of infants in all age groups (Soetjiningsih, 1998: 38). This research is a quasi-experimental study with pre and post test designs in the same group. The researcher will assess the nutritional status of infants aged 5-12 months before and after the traditional massage (pe'e). Sampling was carried out in Bolo Subdistrict, Bima District by using Purposive sampling, which was conducted in September to November 2018 with a total sample of 140 respondents. Data was collected using an observation sheet. The results of this study found that the weight of infants aged 5-12 months before peee was in the sub-normal category, the weight of infants aged 5-12 months experienced an increase after pe'e I and pe'e II, the results of data analysis found there was an influence weight gain before and after pee is done in infants aged 5-12 months

Vocabulary considered one of the important things to learn for students, the vocabulary is basic thing that students must be mastered in foreign language lessons, especially in English. Without vocabulary students will have difficulty in mastering skills in English such as writing, reading, listening and speaking.  Therefore, it is very important to find out the solution to enhance students’ vocabulary. The objective of the research is to find out whether or not using Jumbled letters can improve the students vocabulary of the tenth grade students in MAN 2 Barru and to find out whether or not using Crossword puzzle can improve the students vocabulary of the tenth grade students in MAN 2 Barru. This research applied quasi-experimental group design with two groups experimental and control class. The population of this research was the tenth grade students of MAN 2 Barru in academic year 2018/2019. The Total sample of the research was taken by using clustering random sampling which consisted of 141 students. From two classes taken from the population of the tenth grade students of MAN 2 Barru, X MIA 1 as the experimental class consisted 29 students and X MIA 3 as the control class that consisted 29 students. The result of the data analysis showed that there was a significant difference of students’ vocabulary before and after teaching vocabulary through jumbled word letters. The value of t-test pre-test 2.09 was higher than t-table 2.000, and the value of post-test 4.62 was higher than t-table 2.000, at the level significance a =0.05 and degree of freedom (df) = 56. It can be concluded that jumbled word letters can enhance the vocabulary of the tenth grade students’ of MAN 2 Barru

The government has issued a new normal policy with the aim that people can continue to live productively by changing their lifestyle so as to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. One of the measures to prevent and manage COVID-19 is to increase immunity. Online seminars are one of the most important health promotion methods and can be done in the new normal era. This study aims to determine the effect of online seminars on the knowledge and perceptions of the general public. This study used a quasi-experimental pre and post-test design. The sample in this study were all participants who attended online seminars and filled out the pretest and posttest questionnaires. Univariate data analysis shows that the majority of respondents have a mean age of 29.41 years, most of them are women (58.8%), and are students or have not worked (44.7%). Most of the respondents had a good level of initial knowledge about increasing immunity in the face of COVID-19 (68.4%) and a sufficient level of perception of the new normal (49.1%) before attending online seminars. The bivariate data analysis shows that there is a significant increase in knowledge about increasing immunity in the face of COVID-19 in the new normal before and after attending an online seminar with a p-value = 0.000 (p-value <0.05). Online seminars are the right way to promote health in increasing knowledge about immunity to deal with COVID-19 and perceptions of the new normal in ordinary people.

 A diuretic is a compound that can stimulate urine releasing. The content of gingerol, curcumin and flavonoids in red ginger - white turmeric is thought to be efficacious as urine laxative. This study aims to determine efficacy of red ginger stew - white turmeric as urine laxative and to determine the level of differences in NaCl before and after drinking red ginger stew - white turmeric. The test was carried out by giving one1 cup (250 ml) of red ginger - white turmeric stew every day for 5 days. Using a quasi-experimental method with posttest pretest design was done. Data analysis uses percentage calculation. The results showed that administration of red ginger stew - white turmeric efficacious as a urine laxative which is characterized by increased intensity of urinary discharge, pH and NaCl of urine levels, as well as urine color that is getting transparent and clearer. Keywords: red ginger stew - white turmeric, urine laxative ABSTRAKDiuretikum adalah suatu senyawa yang dapat merangsang pengeluaran urin. kandungan senyawa gingerol, kurkumin dan flavonoid pada  jahe merah – kunyit putih diduga berkhasiat sebagai peluruh urin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui khasiat rebusan jahe merah - kunyit putih sebagai peluruh urin dan untuk mengetahui kadar perbedaan NaCl sebelum dan sesudah minum rebusan jahe merah – kunyit putih. Pengujian dilakukan dengan pemberian rebusan jahe merah – kunyit putih sebanyak 1 gelas (250 ml) perhari selama 5 hari. Menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan pre-tes post-test. Analisis data menggunakan perhitungan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian rebusan jahe merah – kunyit putih berkhasiat sebagi peluruh urin, yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya intensitas pengeluaran urin, pH urin dan Kadar NaCl urin, serta warna urin yang semakin muda dan jernih.Kata kunci: rebusan jahe merah – kunyit putih, peluruh urin

Background:  Breakfast can meet energy requirement of school children to conduct their daily activity all day. But, in reality, there are many school children who do not behave in a healthy breakfast that can meet the needs of 30% of energy. One of reason is a lack of knowledge and practice of the mother in preparing a healthy breakfast for their children.Objective: To assess the influence of media outreach breakfast (booklets, flipchart, and short films) on the mothers' knowledge of healthy breakfast schoolchildren.Method: Design of quasi-experimental one group pre-post test used in the study towards 186 mothers from ten the selected elementary school at Depok City. Mother's knowledge was measured through a questionnaire pre-post test.Results: There was increased in knowledge of mothers at the end of the study with correct answers given by the mother on the question of the type of food that should be avoided at breakfast. Increased knowledge of the mother before and after the study was differed significantly according to age groups (p <0.05). Older age of mother has better knowledge than younger.Conclusion: Knowledge of mothers on healthy breakfast can be improved through counseling using flipcharts, booklets, and short film.

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of the Arco de Maguerez in teaching nursing students about the Bladder Catheter. Method Quasi-experimental study conducted at a public university in northeastern Brazil, with 29 students, in a single group, in the period of october 2018. Data were collected before and after using the Arco de Maguerez in educational intervention, using validated instruments, referring to knowledge and practice. IBM SPSS Statistics software version 24 was used for statistical analysis. The level of significance was set at 5% and the 95% confidence interval. Data analysis was performed using the McNemar and Mann-Whitney test. Results The median of correct answers for knowledge was 7, in the pre-test, and 9 in the post-test (p> 0.001). Regarding practice, in the pre-test the median of correct answers was 28 and, in the post-test, it went to 36, p> 0.001. The academics explained that the AM technology based on the problematization of a fictitious clinical case made learning about Bladder Catheterization Delay clear and feasible. Conclusion The Arco de Maguerez was effective in improving the knowledge and skill of nursing students regarding the Bladder Catheter.

The research was about the effectiveness of Traditional Talking Stick to foster students’ speaking ability on eight-grade of MTs Salafiyah Syafi’iyah in the 2018/2019 academic years. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Traditional Talking Stick teaching method on students speaking abilities, before and after using the Traditional Talking Stick method. There were 36 students as samples in this study. Researchers used a quasi-experimental using 4-times pre-test and 4-times post-test design. The data of this study was collected from observation and speaking tests (pre-test and post-test). The data analysis was then performed using a T-test (paired simple test) facilitated by SPSS 16.0. The results of this study were (1) the average scores of students’ pre-test on their speaking ability before using Traditional Talking Stick were 28,61 of pretest 1, 30,97 of pre-test 2, 33,92 of pre-test 3, 36,69 of pre-test 4-with all the of unsuccessful criteria. (2) the students’ average scores of speaking ability after being taught using Traditional Talking Stick were 75,6 of post-test 1, 77,86 of post-test 2, 82,28 of post-test 3, 84,89 of post-test 4-with all of the success criteria. (3) The result of the students’ average scores shown that there is a significant effect of the Traditional Talking Stick in students’ speaking ability after-treatment. It is as explained from the gained of obtained pretest 4 and post-test 4 average scores, in which t-count is -75,302 (at df = 35) and t table = 2, 03011, which means that the result of the SPSS calculation has been successful.

OBJECTIVE: to identify the contribution made by a refresher course on the assessment of chronic wounds, offered through the Moodle virtual learning environment (VLE), to the knowledge relating to this issue of nursing lecturers and nurses linked to higher education.METHOD: a prospective, quasi-experimental study, with data collection before and after the educational intervention. The study was undertaken in three stages using the Moodle VLE. The sample was made up of 28 participants who answered the pre-test on the knowledge, devised in accordance with international guidelines on chronic wounds. Afterwards, the refresher course was offered (intervention) and was accessed in accordance with individuals' schedules, during the established time period. At the end of the course, 26 participants answered the post-test. Those who did not participate in the post-tests were excluded from the study, as it is pairwise analysis of the sample.RESULT: the participants obtained, on average, 55.5% of correct answers in the pre-test on their knowledge, and 73.4% in the post-test, this difference being statistically significant. There was a negative correlation between the time of experience in lecturing and the performance in the test on their knowledge.CONCLUSION: the participation in the online refresher course contributed to improving the lecturers' performance in the test on their knowledge, in relation to the recommendations for assessing chronic wounds, based in scientific evidence.

This quasi-experimental study aimed at determining the effects of guided quick labs and traditional science laboratory activities on academically-challenged Grade 10 learners' predicting, observing, and inferring skills. The subjects in this study were the 60 academically-challenged Grade 10 learners of Antique National School in San Jose, Antique. The subjects were divided into two groups, the traditional and the quick labs. Pretest and post-test ware used to measure the predicting, observing, and inferring skills of the learners before and after exposure to both laboratory activities. The results showed that the predicting, observing, and inferring skills of the academically-challenged Grade 10 learners in both groups were comparable at the start of the six (6)-week intervention. After the intervention, the results revealed that both groups were still comparable. The findings proved that both types of laboratory activities have a similar effect in predicting and observing skills and is best improving the learners' inferring skills.

This quasi experimental study aims to find out the effectiveness of the use of Flashcards collaborated with Numbered Heads Together Technique compared to the use of only Flashcards to improve seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tulis, Batang vocabulary knowledge. The data was obtained through pre-test and post-test. Conventional change score data analysis showed that the control group achieved better vocabulary knowledge improvement result with 3.42 compare to 2.66 improvement result of experimental group. Likewise, the data analysis using process-oriented change score by Frost (2014) also favour the control group with 22% improvement than the experimental group with 19% improvement. Thus, Flashcards is more effective than Flashcards collaborated with Numbered Heads Together Technique to improve students’ vocabulary knowledge. Learning interest is one of the most important things that could significantly affect student’s achievement in learning process. As an elementary factor, learning interest could affect student’s comprehension on the materials and their performance in order to attain maximum scoresat the end of the teaching and learning process.This paper presents the result of a pre-experimental study (One Group pre-test post-test) that investigates the effect of Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type improving students’ learning interest in learning a school subject on entrepreneurship.The results of data analysis ona set of questionnaire sidentifying students’ learning interest that was given for a pre-test and a post-test, together with an analysis on students’ learning achievement before and after STAD implementation, show that this model is quite effective in increasing students’ learning interest. Therefore, STAD could be used as one of appropriate learning models in teaching entrepreneurship subject.ABSTRAKMinat belajar adalah salah satu faktor penting yang dapat mempengaruhi siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Sebagai faktor yang elementer, minat belajar dapat mempengaruhi tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap bahan ajar yang disajikan oleh guru dan tingkat keberhasilan siswa dalam mencapai nilai maksimal pada akhir proses pembelajaran. Artikel ini menyajikan hasil penelitian pre-eksperimen (One Group pre-test post-test) yang ditunjukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dalam meningkatkan minat belajar para siswa kelas XII di sebuah SMK di kota Cimahi, pada mata pelajaran kewirausahaan. Hasil analisis pada angket mengenai minat belajar yang diberikan pada pre-test dan post-test, berikut analisa nilai para siswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model STAD, menunjukan bahwa model tersebut efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Maka dari itu, model STAD dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu model pembelajaran yang tepat pada mata pelajaran kewirausahaan
