Indonesia is a country that is very large and spacious with a wide variety of cultures and customs vary. A variety of cultures and customs is proof that Indonesia is built with very high ethical values.  Ethics is a reflection of the Indonesian hierarchy of dignity and it should be maintained as a nation's personal identity. Along with the times, ethics comes with a more varied formation. Ethics is also developed in the dynamics of bureaucracy in Indonesia. But, after Indonesia's independence, the more ethical decline, particularly in relation to bureaucracy. To help smooth and in order that the research is comprehensive, the authors used a qualitative research approach as a tool. In addition, in order to balance the research, the author pairs this approach with the type of hermeneutic method, a method that examines the text and studies the behavior of the object. As a result, corrupt behavior becoming into behavior they always do, service to the community to be not optimal, as well as their responsibilities as officers are very low. In this case, I found the application and implementation of the zuhud principles are important in everyday life and/or ethics of their bureaucracy. Zuhud consists of principles of simplicity, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility when it is done with sincerity and in accordance with the guidance Sharai. However, before the zuhud implemented and applied in bureaucratic ethics and everyday life, first need to be instilled positive attitudes toward zuhud value themselves. Zuhud did not mean anti-world an sich, but the zuhud is able to present a moderate stance between the importance of the world and the hereafter as well.

The purpose of this study is two-folded. The first purpose is to examine the perception of Islamic finance experts and Shariah scholars on the Islamic cryptocurrency (i.e., GOLDX and OneGram). The question is whether it has a role in reconciling cryptocurrency in Islamic finance. The second is to introduce the new Islamic cryptocurrency to serve these rich Islamic populaces. The study used a qualitative research approach by conducting interviews to explore the Islamic scholars’ views on the framework of the new Islamic cryptocurrency. The scholars have been deemed to meet particular requirements of having comprehensive knowledge and have extensive experience in both the Islamic Shariah and cryptocurrency. Accordingly, the number of such scholars was limited, and eventually, with the access offered only to five scholars from different Islamic countries. We thoroughly analyzed the collected data from the interviews. The findings reveal that Islamic law is absent on the essential models for the conventional cryptocurrency utilization(such as bitcoin) as either a legitimate or illicit apparatus exchange device. Consequently, introducing new Islamic cryptocurrencies is to reconcile cryptocurrencies such as GOLDX and OneGram. They will play a vital role in attracting more than 1.5 billion Muslims around the globe to enter the world of cryptocurrency.

ABSTRACTCorruption is still common in Indonesia. The existence of permissive culture in Indonesian society has caused corruption to continue to flourish and difficult to eradicate. Many cases of corruption have been brought to trial, but it is still unable reduce the level of corruption. Permissive culture (or also known as permissivism) is still often encountered in everyday life, such as granting bribes for administration, from office to religious affairs, such as marriage. The development of this permissive culture is due to the advancement of the times and the increasing lifestyle of hedonism in society which result in the community being consumptive. Unwittingly, the permissive culture has permitted corrupt behavior to occur. Corruption is an act that cannot be justified in any aspect. Corruption is detrimental to the State's finances which has an impact on the waiver of public interest. In addition, corruption also has a negative impact on various fields. So, corruption is an unforgivable act. Therefore, it is necessary to revitalize social sanction in combating the culture of corruption. Indonesia, as a legal laboratory, has various kinds of customary law. Customary law in Indonesia has traditional religious characteristics that use religious and cultural approaches. Some areas in Indonesia that still uphold the value of religion and customs can be used as a foundation to eradicate permissivism of corrupt behavior. In religion and custom there are social sanctions that can cause the feelings of shame for the perpetrators of corruption. Such social sanctions include exclusion, expulsion from a territory, or even the removal of a customary title. The revitalization of social sanctions could be part of a strategy for eradicating corruption in Indonesia.

The issue of renewal will always be associated with the advancement of science and technology as well as the changing demands of the times. Modernization or renewal can be an attempt to improve the situation both in terms of ways, concepts, and a set of methods commonly applied in order to deliver better circumstances. In the context of renewal education is the absolute thing to be done because part of maintaining the existence of education itself. Islamic education is uniquely different from other types of educational theory and practice largely because of the all-encompassing influence of the Qur’an. The renewal of Islamic education is an attempt to actualize the great values of religion in the form of an empirical and historical life. Nurcholis Madjid and Kuntowijoyo are two great Islamic thinkers of Indonesia who seek to actualize Islamic values in everyday life. Although not specific in the world of education, but what is done in Islamic renewal can be used in renewal in education. The values of religion that are still normative and subjective must be transformed into theories that can be translated in the empirical world and become objective. This paper aims to explore the thinking of Islamic renewal of these two figures and find its relevance to the development of Islamic education.
