Character education has an important role in individual development. Every individual who has good character starts early. In Indonesia, character education in recent years has become part of formal education. It starts with character-based PAUD, followed by SD to SMA/MK/MAN which uses a curriculum known as the 2013 curriculum (kurtilas or K13). At universities such as Semarang State University (UNNES) since March 12, 2010 Unnes declared itself to be a Conservation University. As a Conservation University, since then UNNES has a vision of "becoming an international-standard conservation university that is healthy, superior and prosperous in 2020". To support the program, community service is carried out by realizing character education through origami. The method of implementation in this service program is teaching and evaluation. The servant is an observer who observes the process of directing the activities directly to the community from the beginning to the end. On the implementation of the participants were 32 people. Based on the activities that have been carried out it can be concluded that through origami can realize the character of conservation of UNNES which is humanistic, creative and honest by 100%, inspirational, caring, sporty and fair at 80%. While innovative is 70%.

The COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world since the beginning of 2020 has certainly had a major impact on human interaction. The world of education is one of those affected by restrictions on the learning process and also other policies, including community service activities carried out by students, namely Kuliah Kerja Nyata(KKN). Universitas Sebelas Maret is a state university which at the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic was a pioneer in holding the COVID-19 community service program. Student KKN in its work program holds activities related to preventing the transmission of COVID-19 in the community as well as food and economic security. What is different from KKN is usually the COVID-19 KKN, students have to go out on their own in the community without being in groups. They hold KKN work programs in their respective neighborhoods while maintaining health protocols. This study will review the reduction of communication uncertainty that occurs to students of the COVID-19 Community service program at Universitas Sebelas Maret where they have to build relationships independently with the surrounding community where they feel that they have left their homes for a long time while studying in Solo. There is a sense of communication uncertainty that occurs in students when they have to interact and build communication with the community, therefore, this study uses the Uncertainty Reduction Theory (URT) perspective which was pioneered by Charler Berger and Richard Calabrese. This research is a qualitative research using a descriptive type of research and with the conclusion of an active, passive, and interactive description of the strategy for reducing communication uncertainty for COVID-19 students.

The problems faced by teenagers in recent times have focused more on various delinquency committed by teenagers ranging from drug problems, brawls, bullying cases and other problems. The increasing number of problems faced by adolescents indicates the lack of attention from parents and society to the development of adolescent character. Facing this problem, one solution that can be used is to strengthen the character of youth through character education. Character education is considered the best choice in preparing future generations because it can be both preventive and curative. In this community service program, the training method is used to convey the basics of character education. This Character Personality Training Program aims to invite teenagers to recognize their potential and be able to interact well with their social environment. This training program was given to 30 teenagers who are members of the Padang Japang Mosque Youth Association (IRMPJ). The results of the training show that there is an understanding of adolescents about the importance of understanding themselves and having good character in socializing. Besides that, a continuous program is also needed so that the stages of the material provided can be carried out perfectly.

Abstrak Di beberapa sudut kota, sering ditemukan anak-anak terlantar yang berkeliaran di sekitar jam sekolah dan terlibat dalam kegiatan yang kurang produktif yang mengganggu ketenangan masyarakat. yang membuat mereka jatuh ke pengguna narkoba. Ini harus menjadi perhatian masyarakat mulai dari rumah tangga hingga pemerintah kota. di Balikpapan, khususnya daerah "Keluaran Baru Ulu" yang merupakan kota tua dan padat penduduk dengan kompleks perumahan sangat padat, daerah ini juga disebut zona rawan narkoba. Melalui program pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat memberikan solusi untuk perawatan anak-anak terlantar melalui dukungan yang tepat dan sistem pembelajaran untuk anak-anak terlantar di "Rumah Penampungan" dan PKBM (Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat), dengan menggunakan sistem pendidikan non formal sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan yang disebut “ Rumah Singgah Peduli Anak Penerus Bangsa”.Kegiatan ini telah dilakukan dan akan terus dilakukan dan menjadi referensi dalam kegiatan tata kelolah rumah singgah tersebut. Kata Kunci: Rumah singgah, anak terlantar. Abstract In some corners of the city, it is often found abandoned children who roam around school hours and engage in less productive activities that disturb the peace of the community. which makes them fall into drugs. This should be a concern of the community starting from the household to the city government. In Balikpapan, specifically the "Kelurahan Baru Ulu" area which is an old and densely populated city with a very dense housing complex, this area is also called the drug-prone zone. Through this community service program can provide solutions for the care of neglected children through appropriate support and learning systems for abandoned children in "Shelter Houses" and PKBM (Community Learning Centers), using non-formal education systems in accordance with established standards called " Rumah Singgah Peduli Anak Penerus Bangsa ". The Strengthening Character Education and Character through Story Telling Method with Darunnadwah Islamic Boarding School partners located at Jln. Gatot Subroto No. 55, Karangasih, North Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java is a community service program with the aim of strengthening the character education and character of students in partner locations due to the lack of understanding of the use of story telling methods in teaching and learning activities in schools. The method used is the lecture and discussion method. Pondok teachers are provided with structured material and the provision of several videos containing examples of story telling. This gives a positive influence in the form of new knowledge and skills, storytelling skills that are useful in teaching in the classroom. The results of this activity are, the enthusiasm or learning motivation of trainees should be appreciated and the teachers already have basic knowledge in applying story telling methods in strengthening character education and students' character and some techniques in reading stories in English. ABSTRACT Wau-Weyaf Beach is the nesting ground of six species of turtles, including the world's largest turtle, the leatherback turtle (Dermochelys coriacea). The University of Papua (UNIPA) Manokwari, since 2009 has been directly involved in the turtle nesting area protection program by involving the students of UNIPA through the Community Service Program (KKN). In 2016, students carried out the KKN Program starting from June 30th to August 16th in Kampung Wau-Weyaf, one of the leatherback turtles’ egg-laying locations in Abun. This paper is a part of the Community Service Program which is carried out in the said village. The activities conducted during the KKN include both formal and non-formal education, religious education, and environmental education. Education-based KKN directly helps to improve public awareness which, in turn, supports the efforts to protect and save the leatherback turtles (Dermochelys coriacea) on the coast of Abun, Tambrau. The same approach is also able to improve the calistung (the capability to read, write, and count) ability of school children along with their awareness to maintain the cleanliness of their homes, school, and village environment. Keywords: Education; Conservation; Turtle; Wau-Weyaf   ABSTRAK Pantai Wau-Weyaf merupakan tempat bertelur bagi 6 jenis penyu, termasuk penyu terbesar di dunia, Penyu Belimbing (Dermochelys coriacea). Universitas Papua (UNIPA) Manokwari, sejak tahun 2009 telah terlibat secara langsung dalam program perlindungan kawasan peneluran penyu ini melalui pelibatan mahasiswa melalui program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN). Pada tahun 2016,  mahasiswa Universitas Papua (UNIPA) melaksanakan program KKN yang dilaksanakan antara tanggal 30 Juni sampai dengan 16 Agustus 2016 di Kampung Wau-Weyaf. Tulisan ini merupakan bagian dari pelaksanaan kegiatan KKN yang dilaksanakan di kampung Wau-Weyaf sebagai salah satu lokasi peneluran telur penyu belimbing di Abun.  Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi pendidikan formal dan non-formal, pendidikan agama, dan pendidikan lingkungan. KKN berbasis pendidikan yang dilakukan secara langsung membantu meningkatkan penyadar tahuan masyarakat yang menunjang usaha perlindungan dan penyelamatan penyu belimbing (Dermochelys coriacea) di pesisir Abun, Tambrau. Pendekatan yang sama juga mampu meningkatkan kemampuan calistung anak-anak sekolah dan kesadaran menjaga kebersihan lingkungan rumah, sekolah dan kampung. The students of State University of Jakarta (UNJ) try to apply the bio pore hole technique to restraint the flood problem through the community service program. The purpose of this program is (1) sharing knowledge to campus community about application of science and technology, (2) adding skill to general community especially the college student of UNJ in using bio pore holes technique to avoid the flood problem, (3) Improving the image of UNJ as a supplier of versatile functional technology to the developing regions. The method that have been used for this community service program are lecturing, discussing and direct practicing after material delivery through individual and groups.

Tourism has become the driving force for the economy in the community, various regions have applied the pattern, and managed to have a positive impact. This condition is the background of research on the success of the community service program from the Padang State University (UNP) team in Tanah Garam Village. The study was conducted in June to November 2019, the method used was a qualitative approach. Primary data were obtained from interviews with the Head of Tourism and Culture of the City of Solok, community leaders in Tanah Garam, Pokdarwis Payo, and community members in the Payo area (Tanah Garam). Interviews were conducted in accordance with guidelines related to the success of the UNP community service program in increasing the capacity of human resources (HR) and the ability to manage Payo agrotourism, thus providing economic impact for the community. The results showed that the service program succeeded in improving the economy of the community after the ability to manage tourism was increased.

Indonesia is a country that has a lot of potential for disasters. The large number of potential disasters should be balanced by human resources who are ready to be prepared in the face of disasters. Therefore, in community service activities, the 2019 State University of Malang Community Service Program held activities in the field of disaster. This activity is the Implementation of Disaster Preparedness Schools which aims to provide education on an early warning system when an earthquake occurs. The activity was carried out Monday and Tuesday, June 24 and 25 2019 at SD Negeri 1 and 2 Purwosekar. The target of these activities is elementary school students in grades 4-6. The arrangement of activities carried out is the provision of material packaged in the form of story telling, singing, games, and simulations. The delivery of the material is packaged as attractive as possible so that it can be accepted by students easily. The results obtained from these activities were the knowledge and experience of students regarding disaster science, especially earthquake preparedness.

ABSTRAKProgram pengabdian masyarakat  yaitu Misa dan Kotbah Yang diadakan pada Dies Natalis yang ke 41 Universitas Flores. melaksanakan kegiatan-kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan mahasiswa/I ,Pelajar dan  remaja. Maka dari hal kegiatan mahasiswa  lancar terlaksanakan mahasiswa mendapatkan respon yang positif dengan  kehadiran  kegiatan-kegiatan keagamaaan. PKM Dies Natalis Uniflor Ke 41 Penangulangan Kenakalan Remaja (Juvenile Delinquency)  Dengan Bimbingan Agama Di Perguruan Tinggi Universitas Flores Ende NTT. Tujuan dari Pengabdian Masyarakat yaitu Perguruan Tinggi Universitas Flores mensosialisaikan tentang etika/ sopan santun dalam berpakaian dan akhlak atau adab seorang pelajar terhadap guru atau pendidik. Namun, saat ini tak jarang kita menyaksikan dan terus disuguhkan dengan fenomena dan gejala – gejala degradasi moral/akhlak yang begitu dahsyat, baik di lingkungan sekitar, sekolah, perguruaan tinggi yang ditayangkan di berbagi media baik cetak maupun elektronik atau secara nyata yang sangat mengusik hati kita, seperti konflik antar agama, antar pelajar, mahasiswa, perkelahian antar remaja, pelajar,lingkungan, narkoba dan lainnya. Dengan demikian Panitia Dies Natalis Universitas Flores Ke 41.. bersama Dosen Agama dan Dosen Pendidikan Jasmani mengangkat tema “ mengelola pendidikan karakter. Baik dalam hal persepsi, kebijakan dalam revitalisasi pendidikan karakter, mulai dari tingkat dasar hingga universitas/ perguruan tinggi. Pendidikan karakter harus masuk dalam arus utama system pendidikan kita. Muhammadiyah Junior High School 02 of Batu city has implemented the Strengthening of Character Education (SBE) through community service program in 2017. It is analyzed that the proram has obstacles in its implementation of classroom-based (SBE), it is proved by the inability of teachers to integrate character values into subjects to match the curriculum content. Thus, it is projected that to improve classroom-based SBE can be done by integrating literacy activities. The classroom-based SBE approach can be implemented through developing instructional method, classroom management, and integrating literacy activities into lesson plan of 2013 Curriculum. This community service program aims to improve SBE through literacy movement at MJHS 02 of Batu City. The method implemented was participation-based method through training and mentoring of SBE, also mentoring to plan and practice the SBE implementation through literacy movement. This program involves school teachers and principle of SMP Muhammadiyah 02 Batu, as many of 16 personnel. Data collection was gathered through observation and document which then analyzed descriptively. Results show that there is an improvement on teachers’ competence in developing lesson plan using classroom-based SBE concept through literacy movement, and an improvement also shown on teachers’ skill in implementing class instruction which is based on 2013 Curriculum that applies SBE through literacy movement. This improvement simultaneously contributes to students’ achievement expected in the 2013 Curriculum, namely character improvement.
