Indonesia is a country that has a lot of potential for disasters. The large number of potential disasters should be balanced by human resources who are ready to be prepared in the face of disasters. Therefore, in community service activities, the 2019 State University of Malang Community Service Program held activities in the field of disaster. This activity is the Implementation of Disaster Preparedness Schools which aims to provide education on an early warning system when an earthquake occurs. The activity was carried out Monday and Tuesday, June 24 and 25 2019 at SD Negeri 1 and 2 Purwosekar. The target of these activities is elementary school students in grades 4-6. The arrangement of activities carried out is the provision of material packaged in the form of story telling, singing, games, and simulations. The delivery of the material is packaged as attractive as possible so that it can be accepted by students easily. The results obtained from these activities were the knowledge and experience of students regarding disaster science, especially earthquake preparedness.

Earthquake disasters occur suddenly without being able to be predicted by humans. By knowing that earthquakes cannot yet be scientifically predicted, efforts should be made to reduce the risk of the consequences of the earthquake. The cause of the large number of victims of earthquake disasters due to lack of knowledge and earthquake disaster preparedness. Therefore, it is important to socialize and simulate earthquake mitigation early to minimize the risk of becoming a victim through disaster education in schools. Education is an effective vehicle for building student behavior in the face of disasters. Knowledge possessed by students can influence the attitude of earthquake disaster preparedness. This research is a practical research with limitation of the problem through the provision of material and training in earthquake disaster mitigation simulation. The results showed that: 1) The material presented was interesting, there was very significant knowledge about the types of disasters, disaster symbols, and preparedness procedures before, when they occurred, and after the earthquake disaster; 2) Adding knowledge and skills in self-rescue in the event of an earthquake; 3) Practicing reflexes in taking steps to save themselves when an earthquake suddenly occurs, 4) Increasing earthquake preparedness for elementary school students and teachers.

Abstrak. Kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat ini ditujukan untuk Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Matematika SMK, yang merupakan forum profesionalisme untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan kinerja guru matematika SMK. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah; (1) meningkatkan peran dan fungsi MGMP Matematika SMK kabupaten Malang dalam memperbaiki kompetensi dan kinerja guru matematika SMK, (2) meningkatkan pemahaman guru matematika SMK terhadap langkah-langkah pembuatan e-modul dan (3) meningkatkan ketrampilan pembuatan e-modul matematika SMK bagi guru matematika SMK Kabupaten Malang. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah; (1) pendampingan kepada pengurus MGMP untuk mengkaji ulang program kerja yang sudah ditentukan, (2) mengadakan workshop pembuatan modul matematika SMK , (3) pelatihan dan pendampingan secara berkelompok kepada guru matematika SMK pada proses kepenulisan modul matematika SMK, (4) Workshop pembuatan e-modul matematika SMK, dan (5) desiminasi e-modul matematika SMK oleh guru matematika SMK Kabupaten. Hasil yang dicapai adalah peningkatan kualitas pertemuan MGMP Matematika SMK Kabupaten Malang dan peningkatan ketrampilan pembuatan e-modul Matematika SMK bagi gurunya. Produk yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini adalah e-modul matematika SMKKata Kunci: MGMP Matematika SMK, Guru Matematika SMK, pembuatan e-modul matematika SMK Abstract. The community service program was conducted to the Vocational School Mathematics Teachers’ Forum (MGMP), a professionalism forum for elevating the competence and performance of the vocational school teachers teaching Mathematics. The program was aimed at: (1) improving the roles and functions of the Vocational School Mathematics Teachers’ Forum in Malang Regency, (2) enhancing vocational school Mathematics teachers’ understanding of the procedures of creating Mathematics e-modules, and (3) upgrading the vocational school Mathematics teachers’ skills in creating their Mathematics e-modules. The methods applied were: (1) mentoring the committees of the teachers’ forum in reviewing their work plans, (2) conducting a writing vocational school Mathematics module workshop, (3) training and mentoring the vocational school Mathematics teachers in writing their Mathematics modules in groups, (4) conducting a workshop of creating vocational school Mathematics e-modules, and (5) disseminating the Mathematics e-modules by vocational school Mathematics teachers in Malang Regency. The results of the program were the quality improvement of Mathematics teachers’ forum’s meetings and the writing Mathematics e-module skills’ improvement of the Mathematics teachers in Malang Regency. Background: Indonesia is included in the list of countries most at risk of disaster. So that disaster preparedness is needed which is an effort to prevent the onset of crisis due to disaster which is focused on developing plans to deal with disasters. The problem that arises is that there are still many Indonesian citizens who do not know and understand what a disaster is, how to anticipate and overcome a disaster. The purpose of this community service is to increase community preparedness in the face of the impact phase of disaster in the village of Karanganyar Wonorejo. Methods: The design of this study was a quasi-experiment with a pre-post without control group design involving 29 respondents. Result: The results of education on the readiness of residents in facing the impact phase of the disaster proved to significantly increase knowledge with a p-value of 0.006. Conclusion: Increasing the readiness of citizens in facing disasters in the impact phase can be done by providing massive education and information to the community

The COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world since the beginning of 2020 has certainly had a major impact on human interaction. The world of education is one of those affected by restrictions on the learning process and also other policies, including community service activities carried out by students, namely Kuliah Kerja Nyata(KKN). Universitas Sebelas Maret is a state university which at the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic was a pioneer in holding the COVID-19 community service program. Student KKN in its work program holds activities related to preventing the transmission of COVID-19 in the community as well as food and economic security. What is different from KKN is usually the COVID-19 KKN, students have to go out on their own in the community without being in groups. They hold KKN work programs in their respective neighborhoods while maintaining health protocols. This study will review the reduction of communication uncertainty that occurs to students of the COVID-19 Community service program at Universitas Sebelas Maret where they have to build relationships independently with the surrounding community where they feel that they have left their homes for a long time while studying in Solo. There is a sense of communication uncertainty that occurs in students when they have to interact and build communication with the community, therefore, this study uses the Uncertainty Reduction Theory (URT) perspective which was pioneered by Charler Berger and Richard Calabrese. This research is a qualitative research using a descriptive type of research and with the conclusion of an active, passive, and interactive description of the strategy for reducing communication uncertainty for COVID-19 students.

Updating ones professional skills, continuing education and the ability to work successfully in multidisciplinary environments have become increasingly critical to staying competitive in the face of rapid advances in technology and the current trends toward outsourcing of engineering jobs. Mechanical engineers, specifically, are continuously confronted with staying current with proficiency in CAD and FEA tools, evolving multiplicity of design materials and increased sophistication of design components, as are their capabilities in communicating with both engineers and non-engineers. A survey conducted of engineering alumni of the California State University, Fullerton indicates how its graduates pursue the complex task of staying current and the degree of successes achieved in this never ending endeavor. The survey evaluated ways and means of these efforts and the employers’ attitudes and support, or lack thereof, towards such efforts, experiences of working in multidisciplinary and multi national teams and attitudes towards community service. Relationships between continued education and career are examined. Implications of the findings to engineers, education and industry are discussed. Roles that educational institutions and professional societies play in this process are carefully examined and discussed.

Bimbingan belajar dari rumah sangat diperlukan pada saat ini terlebih di masa pandemi covid-19, dimana semua kegiatan pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring. Kemendikbud menerbitkan peraturan agar semua kegiatan pembelajaran dilakukan di sekolah diganti dengan pembelajaran dari rumah masing-masing siswa. Pada proses pembelajaran dari rumah siswa membutuhkan bimbingan dari orang tua maupun walinya untuk mendampingi siswa dalam belajar. Bimbingan belajar yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa KKN DR-BPM di tahun 2021 ini adalah bentuk pengabdian masyarakat dalam membantu siswa yang kesulitan dan memiliki kendala dalam proses belajar dari rumah pada masa pandemi covid-19 ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan bimbingan belajar ini yaitu metode ceramah dan diskusi secara face to face dengan menggunakan pendekatan pendampingan dan pendidikan berkelanjutan. Program bimbingan belajar yang dilaksanakan memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan bagi peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan dalam proses belajar secara daring. ABSTRACT Tutoring learning from home is very necessary at this time, especially during the covid-19 pandemic, where all learning activities are carried out online. The Ministry of Education and Culture issues regulations so that all learning activities carried out in schools are replaced with learning from each student's home. In the learning process from home, students need guidance from their parents and guardians to assist students in learning. Through the "Smart House" tutoring conducted by DR-BPM KKN students in 2021 as a form of community service, they can help students who have difficulties and have obstacles in the learning process from home during this covid-19 pandemic. The method used in the implementation of this tutoring is the face to face method and uses a mentoring and continuing education approach. Today's elementary school students assume that the Javanese language is a foreign language. Tis situation had been predicted by Ki Hadjar Dewantara, therefore in 1930 he created Sariswara method as a means of facilitating the learning of Javanese language and literature. Tis community service aims in sharing the concept of Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s Sariswara method in improving Javanese language profciency and enriching knowledges of Javanese literatures through songs and dances in the targeted community. Tis community services involved teacher representatives, students, and parents of students of 12 Elementary Schools in Mergangsan Sub-district. Te provision of the materials and training is expected to foster a sense of pride in their own culture, so that they will be motivated to preserve and develop it, afterward. Eventually, it is hoped that a community that preserves the Sariswara method will emerge. Strengthening the sense of love for Javanese language and literature through tembang dolanan (songs of singing games) and dance movements stimulates students’ intelligence.================================================================== Murid sekolah dasar masa kini menganggap bahasa Jawa sebagai bahasa asing. Keadaan seperti ini telah diprediksi oleh Ki Hadjar Dewantara sehingga pada 1930 diciptakan Metode Sariswara sebagai sarana mempermudah pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Jawa. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah menyebarkan konsep Ki Hadjar Dewantara tentang Metode Sariswara melalui pengayaan materi bahasa, sastra, tembang, dan gerak tari. Melalui pemberian materi dan pelatihan (praktik) kepada perwakilan guru, siswa, dan orang tua siswa di 12 sekolah dasar se-Kecamatan Mergangsan ini diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan rasa bangga terhadap budaya bangsa sendiri dan mengembangkannya, yang pada akhirnya akan terbentuk komunitas pecinta Metode Sariswara. Penguatan rasa cinta terhadap bahasa dan sastra Jawa dengan sarana tembang dolanan dan gerak tarinya menstimulasi kecerdasan siswa.

The target of this community service activity is Vocational High School (SMK) in Cibinong and Citeureup Sub - Bogor Regency. Some Participants involved are students of  11th, 12th, and 13th graders. Based on their potential, vocational school students have a tendency in entrepreneurial program of UMKM which is very varied, especially in creative industry sector. Through this activity will form the soul of a new generation of entrepreneurs who have good character and have the ability to compete for self-competence in the era of government that promote entrepreneurship programs in the face of Asean Free Trade Association (AFTA) so as to be beneficial to prospective entrepreneurs and able to sustain the economy individually and national. This activity is conducted by visiting and conducting workshop on entrepreneurship and business management for students who gathered in the hall of each Vocational High School in Cibinong sub-district, Bogor regency. Implementation of community service activities has been successfully implemented with percentage to the planning, process, the result is 91,3%; 97.5%, and 97.5% in very good category. And it can be concluded that the responses of the participants to the implementation of the workshop entrepreneurship in SMKN 01 PGRI Cibinong and SMK Bina Harapan Citeureup is very good. This is evident from the attendance indicators of participants reached 97% of the number of participants who targeted its attendance.

Abstract. A community service program has been carried out which aims to introduce MindMapple software in making concept maps and learning media in increasing the learning motivation of TRAMPIL Middle School students. The activity participants were all Trampil Middle School teachers. Mindmapple software can be downloaded for free or paid. This software can be used by teachers in creating concept maps in the teaching and learning process. Besides being easy to use, this program can also train creativity from the teacher in making concept maps. After doing activities around 80% of teachers who are accustomed to operating laptops can easily operate the MindMapple program. While 20% of teachers who are constrained to operate a laptop still need guidance in applying mindmapple software. The output of this community service is a module on the introduction of software.Abstrak. Telah dilakukan program kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat  yang bertujuan memperkenalkan software MindMapple dalam pembuatan peta konsep dan media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa SMP TRAMPIL. Peserta kegiatan adalah seluruh guru SMP Trampil. Software MindMapple dapat diunduh secara gratis maupun berbayar. Software ini dapat digunakan oleh guru dalam membuat peta konsep dalam proses belajar mengajar. Selain mudah penggunaannya, program ini juga dapat melatih kekreatifitasan dari  guru dalam pembuatan peta konsep. Setelah melakukan kegiatan sekitar 80 % guru yang terbiasa mengoperasikan laptop dapat dengan mudah mengoperasikan program MindMapple. Sedangkan 20% guru yang terkendala mengoperasikan laptop masih perlu bimbingan dalam mengaplikaskan software MindMapple. Luaran dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah modul tentang pengenalan software.
